I think most people would find this insanely stupid given the fact that these feminists are giving an award to a FICTIONAL pig for fucks sake. I work at a restaurant too as a cook, and you know what I can't stand about it? People that come in like ten or five minutes before closing and then take like an hour to order their food. Like who the fuck does that? Tonight for instance, my manager decided to send my assistant home early. Even though I was supposed to teach her how to close the restaurant. So I had to cook all of the orders alone, clean the kitchen by myself, do inventory, and then do paperwork. And what do you know, four tables decided to come in when their was only like five minutes left on the clock. Fuck me, right?
Also to the lady that complained about not getting enough oysters; you paid for 12 and we gave you 16, you greedy bitch.

As a fellow who's discussed girls with fellow fellows in the privacy of social gatherings and elsewhere, one thing I dislike is how people's tastes are suddenly so subject to change all depending on context. It happens with other things, sure, but I find this particular phenomenon particularly irking because it insults actual people.
See, if what Dude A, Dude B and Dude C say in private is to be believed, then they have absolutely no problem with heavier women, and kind of like them. Dude C even says he used to have a thing for Adele ("used to" as in "before that one album where she was much thinner than usual"). Except, in Health class one day, when we were watching a documentary about (of all fucking things) eating disorders, A, B, and C felt inclined to (out loud) express how gross it was with "ugh" "ew" and other such grunts after plus-sized models were shown. (Most of which were ironically Adele-sized)
Now, I can understand that the Dudes may feel the need to hide their preferences, since liking big ladies isn't something guys normally do. But seriously? Do you really need to express your faux disgust at this, especially after a whole section on Anorexia that played out more like a horror movie than an educational film?
Now, there were girls in the room who could've heard that, (Two of which I know to be very insecure about their appearance) and had they not been quietly whispering in our back corner of the room, they could have done some serious damage. Hell, there were some girls there that were probably their type who would have considered them off the table, dating-wise, because obviously they think chubby is gross.
And for what, really? This is Wisconsin. In the winter. In a high school with about 4 gay couples out and proud and another guy who'll be quick to add in that he's a lightcore masochist, and even an out-of-the-closet Brony,(And I mean that kind of Brony) because why the hell not? Nobody gives them any honest-to-god shit about their sexualities, so don't they trust Dude D and Dude E to be bros about it? I mean, sure, they might get a little well-intentioned ribbing here and there, and they'd probably be okay with that, given that I've been harassing them in a tongue-in-cheek manner about everything for years now, and that's kinda their sense of humor anyway.
I dunno. I guess I can see why they'd still be kinda iffy about saying that, but honestly, I feel like they maybe wouldn't be so potentially hurtful to some people and they maybe wouldn't have to complain every other day about not having a girlfriend if they let those walls come down. Sheesh.

I was just posting an independent complaint, as I am prone to doing in threads about complaining. I mean, your post clears it up, I guess, (and I did read that whole advice post you linked to before. 'Twas a fun and useful experience.) I just wanted to gripe about how I was a little confused that the Dudes who Shall Not Be Named didn't feel comfortable enough to be honest with the other guys. I can't stand dishonest people. I don't care if you're a fucking racist as long as you have some consistency and stand by your beliefs. Hmm, the one thing I have been most annoyed with recently are the people I tutor in my spare time. Every time I try to teach them something, they try and correct and it pisses me off so much. 'Oh I know so much more than you so I may correct whenever I feel like even if I am wrong.' I'm just like, bitch, you wouldn't need me if you were smart enough to do this yourself. Half of you aren't even passing basic level high school classes while I passed my Advanced Honors and AP classes with A's and B's. I just wished I could tell them to shut up but I need the cash to pay for some of my bills and they are from idiot rich families whose singular goal is not having the dumbest kid in the fifty states of America.
That and I really hate it when people interrupt me when I'm talking period. It makes plenty of sense to allow another person to talk and then respond but I instead have interruptions left and right. This thread is actually pretty amazing. Probably just my favorite thread to read now. Like, I was expecting the sort of everyday problems that most of us actually considering real annoyances, not... whatever all this is.
