[IC] A New World of Gods Chapter 2, The Rise of new Civilizations

During this party, Claire, Yuki, and Miriam joined in. Claire and Yuki really just came to be the "Party Moms" that would attempt to keep things from going too far. Miriam, on the other hand was hosting a bunch of large-scale games, and partaking in drinks. Not that any of it worked that well, considering she had taken in hardcore drinking games in the past with Claire, Yuki, and a bunch of humans at some other parties. The humans only took a around an hour to pass out, but it took the goddesses days to get drunk. They had to move it to one of their own realms it took so long. Still, they were a good way to liven up parties, and rabbit racing was a fun gambling game.

In any case, Yuki was showing off her moves, trying to get the Duskicians to move with her. They did, but she felt that they needed a bit of work. For now, though, she face the challenge of dancing while juggling a bunch of child Duskicians. A small challenge, but one that she still considered something she had to be careful doing. Claire would've joined in, but she felt the excess energy of a big summoning spell attempt. bigger than the ones with the rabbits and sweet rolls.

Of course, it was coming from Sheogorath. Claire, walked up to the other-worldly deity, and said,

"You better not be trying to do anything big without telling me, Mice-food. I'd be really pissed if that was the case."

After a strenuous day or so of rowing a boat, Xoxi finally lands on the shore of Ireland, oddly surprised that what looks like buildings seem to be mainly intact, aside from wear-and-tear damage. The shoreline was below a cliffside, and had several small caves within the rocky surface of the wall. There seemed to be a small otherworldly force emanating from a cave on this cliff side. Dumbly enough, a few small creatures seem to be roaming around in the sandy terrain.

"Well, this is Ireland. Home to potatoes, alcohol, and man skirts... well used to be anyway."

Xoxi, walking along the shoreline, recalls stuff that occurred before the world went to garbage. The last conversation with her mother rung through her head, speaking that she was destined for something.

"Daughter. I've seen the ways the moon passes through it's phases, and they have revealed to me something. You are destined. Destined to start something great."

"Destined for what though?"

"I cannot reveal this, it wou-"

"Wow thanks mom, you're really helpful."

"Xoxi you do not understand, the way the moon ali-"

"'The way the moon aligns is the only way your fate will be revealed' yeah yeah you told me this a long time ago, it was when you said bad times would come to my mentor and the next following week he was found lynched in a barbarian village."

"...alright. Well... I must go."

"Bye mom, see you whenever you give a crap about the Earth."

As she slowly came back to reality, she realized she was quite a long distance away from the boat she arrived on Ireland with, and night was beginning to fall.

"Time to set up a camp, plan out for the future, I guess."

Landon was glad to see Cia was ok. She still had some slight scars on her arm, but at least she seemed to have recovered from having destroyed the world and all. It would have been hard for anyone, and her reaction was justified to Landon. He saw her trying to get up with wobbling legs. He stepped over to help her as she fell into his arm. He had to hold onto her rather tight to hold her up with only one arm. "We missed you too. I'm glad you're back as well." He was happy to just hold her there in the Nexus.

The Tari we're doing well for themselves in the world. They were very adventurous and quick to learn from their and other's mistakes. They were beginning to interact with the other species as well. It didn't seem like many other races were able to handle the cold North for very long. Some of the races were nice and willing to work with the Tari. They started to trade technology and resources when they could. The races were very spread out for now and travel between them was long and hard. Several of the races were rather violent as well. Just desiring nothing but war. The Tari tried interacting with them, with little or no success.

Sheogorath turned to see what he recognized as a 'party pooper' trying to keep him from summoning the deadric. "Aw! Ya Party pooper! I'm just trying to summon the deadric! Now those guys know how to party!" Sheogorath said with a smile as he turned to look at Claire. "They won't kill anyone! Atleast I hope not, if they start killing I'll be sure to stop them!" Sheogorath said before casting another spell only to summon what seemed to be a very small troll no bigger than a hand. The odd thing was that the troll was made of sweet roll. "Oy! I do think ya have more important things than me to worry about though. Somethin to do with a new problem!" Sheogorath stated being very cryptic with his warnings once again. "Though I would be worried about them she demons, those things are nasty! Last time I had to deal with one she ripped my stomach out and fed it to the goats!" Sheogorath stated remembering his time in Tamriel.

Cia smiled at Landon, she hugged him harder now before sitting back down. "I guess I'm gonna need some more time to recover, huh?" Cia said with a smile. "I guess the lot of you went and created your own races huh? I started to watch from inside the healing realm after awhile. I kind of know what is going on. I guess Rhona isn't back yet though is she?" Cia said remebering Rhona now. "That poor girl is going to need to wake up sooner or later." Cia said though there was a bit of spite in her words. She still felt jealous of Rhona, and that jealousy had grown within the healing realm it seems.

At this point messages were sent out reguarding the upcoming trial. There was also a voting ballet on it as well allowing them to vote on what would be the consequences.

As what can be described as "Night" falls over Ireland, Xoxi lies under a very makeshift tent, facing the moon. The only white object in the sky.

"Mom, I swear if you're hearing this, give me a sign or something."

While talking, Xoxi hears a small rustle in her bag. Looking over reveals a small white mouse, attempting to take some food harvested from Dej farms. Only a small bit, nothing so major worth slaying the innocent mouse over.

Suddenly, gears in Xoxi's head start turning, as the mouse scurries up to her foot.

"...the Dej didn't land here. They were made out of thin air... which could mean divine intervention."

Xoxi's mind raced, with both different explanations of how the different races came to be, and the godly powers used to create these races if anything.

"... could... I make something like this?"

Xoxi attempted to gather a small idea of a race using the tiny mouse by her foot as a basis. This race would be small, and know basic human knowledge. They'd be persuasive and stealthy, while also frail.

As this was being thought of, in front of Xoxi, a small purple light emanated.

The race would be able to adapt very hastily to harsh environments, and mainly be a peaceful race.

When Xoxi was finished with an idea, a small, brown, male Myceling appeared in front of her.

He was named Gyro, and was the first one of his kind.

Ratatoskr sits in the sky, watching over everything, making sure that everything is going accordingly to his idea of "good".

"Everything seems all fine and dandy in the world. I should be fine kicking back for a few ye-oh?"

As Ratatoskr started to finish his sentence, he saw a small speck of life appear on the coast of Ireland. The speck indicated that a new race was created, something that shouldn't happen at all, considering that all gods pretty much had their own race at this point, and each one arguably doing completely fine off, except for the recent conflicts regarding the Dragon.

"What? How is this even happening? There aren't any more gods that can make races, and even in that color!"

The way he saw the speck was more like a globe, with a race appearing in a God's specific color. This race did not match the color of any other gods with races already.

"No... okay this needs some investigatin', and who else to do it but..."

Ratatoskr pointed at himself boastfully.

"...this handsome squirrelly fellow right here!"

Ratatoskr opened a small portal to the coast of Ireland, and left in pursuit of who made the new race.

"Yeah I suppose I have grown a few inches or so." Leon replied rubbing the back of his neck, as he smiled slightly happy. It felt nice to see a familiar face and to be casual for a change, even if it was for a short while.

"So ya made a race, did ya? Good on ya! I knew ya had it in ya! I bet they all take after you in tha looks department, yeah? So! How does it feel ta be a father?" Leon grinned. He was treating the matter as if Alec was the literal biological father of each member of his race, when, in fact, this was not true.

Leon still tried to avoid the topic of Rhona, which he found to be difficult to avoid. He could see in Alec's eyes, they were practically screaming his sister's name. Leon's happy expression faded as he sighed heavily. "Tha' 'ghost' ya saw has ta do with Rhona, doesn't it? It's written on yer face, lad. Ya need ta get better at hidin' yer desires and what's on yer mind. " He replied, chuckling slightly. He then paused and pondered on how he would act now. Alec didn't need to give Leon puppy dog eyes for Leon to give in. He could tell that Alec was dead set on seeing Rhona.

" A hour.... I can give you one hour... But I cannot promise you that you will be happy with what you see. Even so, do you want to see her." Leon replied with an intense look in his eyes. After a long period of silence, he opened a portal behind him, one that led to the place where the 2 have been hidden from the world for the past 30 years. "Well? What's yer answer, lad?"

Alec chuckles. "Its...different...knowing that I created something living" He then looks down at the mention of rhona. "Yea..she...she was the ghost" He looks back at leon flooding with emotions. "Im sorry...you came here to get away from wherever you have her" He looks awkward now, he really didn't mean to do that. Transparent facial expressions don't help with this type of thing. With the mention of being able to see her he perked up a bit. "I would most definitely like to see her." that and knowing where she is will allow him to be able to teleport there. He could start sneaking there again...maybe convince her to wake up. Probably a fruitless endeavor, but he can't help but hope.

Leon grinned at Alec's response, yet the intense look in his eyes remained. "Alright. Let us be leavin' then." He replied as he gestured for Alec to follow.

On the other side of the portal, lie the dark chamber where Rhona slept. However, instead of the young girl that Alec would expect to find; he would find a beautiful woman with long auburn hair had taken her place. Her expression was emotionless and she appeared to be dead. The only signs of life were her nearly nonexistent breathing and heart beat. It was truly a grim scene to behold.

"Here she is. Nothin' has changed with her fer tha past 30 years." Leon replied, his voice was lowered to a murmered, as he walked around to the other side of her. His intense, silent gaze never left Alec.

Alec looks at leon for a second then all his focus goes to rhona. He walks to her, his movements slow yet somehow purposeful. He kneels down beside her and takes her hand. His eyes filling with emotions and saying everything that he can't say with words. He stays like this, seeming to become a statue locked in place. If she could see him she would see those emotions...and hopefully know...he wants her to come back. To let him know she's fine....to yell at him or something...anything. It seems like he could stay like this for as long as she decides to sleep.

Landon went ahead and sat down with Cia. "Yeah we have created several races. The worlds destruction was sort of a good thing. We had gotten used to the old ways and keeping the humans, but they weren't even really ours to keep. These are our people now. I'm really happy with how well the Tari have been developing. It's still really early to say anything, but several have already been procreating." He was happy to talk about the races, but he got a little somber at the talk of Rhona.

He hadn't really thought about her or Leon for the last thirty years and he was fine to never see them for... probably ever. "Yeah, I haven't really cared to search her out. I don't actually know anything about her since she was taken, but I think Alec had a thing for her and he hasn't seemed to excited recently. His race has helped him, but he still seems iffy. I have to say if you're going to try and find her, I'll just probably head back to my people."

There was a long silence that veiled the chamber. Finally, Leon spoke. "Ya know... I think... I think tha' Rhona should not wake up... Ever. If she wakes up, tha council will be after her and I won't be able to protect her on my own. With the way she is... At least this way she can watch the world and not put her life at risk." He said looking away from Alec, who looked like was on the verge of tears. His words stung terribly like needles stabbing at his heart, yet he knew it to be the truth, in regards to the matter. Leon did not want Rhona to sleep forever, yet when he considered the safety of his sister, this was the only solution that seemed to make the most sense.

Alec slowly looks up at leon. For the first time in a very long time his egyptian accent comes out. "Who ever said you would be on your own?" He slowly stands up. "Considering this is my fault...why wouldn't I help her...or you" He looks back at rhona as a tear makes its way down his face. Frustration anger and a few other emotions glide through his eyes. "This is not living...this is existing...how is this fair t her" He looks back at leon. "How could you wish your own blood to simply exist like this?" His gaze seems to pierce Leon. "Humans often did this to their loved ones as well...do you know where those loved ones ended up? trapped" He tilts his head. "trapped because their body was forced to live while their soul was ready to move on...ready to be weighed and judged." His gaze intensifies. "Unlike them she can see the world yes...but she isn't experiencing it...shes just...existing and that is a fate worse then death." The gaze becomes unbearable. "Is that something you truly wish upon yourself? The fact that you want her to be like this simply to satisfy your own selfish wishes on having her so safe that she remains in a death like state?" He has seen things like this a bit too often...and seeing Rhona like this was killing him a bit.

As the two stood in the gave a strange shimmer of light appeared near them. Out of it crawled a Golden Spider. It was a strange creature to say the least. It was small but it's color was beautiful. Then it spoke, quite a strange creature indeed. "Such a sad thing, to see a trapped soul." It's voice was strangely feminine. It lowered itself from the ceiling towards Rhona. "But I'm afraid she is needed to be awake. A great darkness is coming." The Spider said landing on Rhonas forehead. She would wake up with a jolt soon thanks to the spiders magic.

"Your needed young one, weather you want to wake up or not." The Spider still stayed there on Rhonas head and would continue to be there unless it was grabbed and dragged off.

@rechonq Cia gave a sigh, she knew of the trial at this point. "So what do you think of this trial then?" Cia asked showing the message she had recieved moments ago describing the trial that was to come. Many of the merged had already inserted their own votes into the messages. The time in the nexus seemed to be a great deal slower compared to the earths time however as a week was fast approaching.

Alec's words started to piss Leon off. "Then why don't we just kill her? Tha' way she won't just exist anymore. Is tha' what ya want?! Do ya want her ta die?! Cause if so then do it already! But I warn ya. If ya dare come near her again - I'll kill ya. And if you try to take her from me; I will destroy yer precious race." Leon warned as his eyes narrowed, the look in them had greatly intensified. There was another long pause. "Ta know tha' ya want ta protect her merely ta repay a debt; it's breakin' her heart. She has never saved anyone ta expect them ta one day repay it. What she does is out of tha goodness of her heart and out of love fer tha ones she cares about. Tha' is why she brought Ox back ta life. An' tha' is why she saved yers!" As he said this he circled around Rhona and stood a few feet in front of Alec, then silently created a portal that lead back to the Egyptian Underworld.

"You are no longer, nor are ya ever, welcome here. Be gone!" Leon roared, his voice echoed through the catacombs like thunder as he pushed Alec through the portal. He then proceeded to create a barrier around the entire cave, similar to the one he had created 30 years ago, so that Alec could not return unless Leon allowed it.

Alec stares at Leon fuming somewhat. He touches his own forehead and mutters something in Egyptian. "It was not just that I want to repay her......" He looks at Leon. "Just so you know.....the forests and jungles of this world are not as safe as they once were....beware the smiling flower" he looks at the portal and shakes his head. With a blink of the eye he teleports home. Once home he goes and teleports again. This time he stands in front of a massive plantoid. It's red lips curve slightly. "....how many have you eaten today Audrey" the plant laughs. "Why you wound me" it laughs again exposing rows of sharpened teeth. It then tilts it's head. "Why are you here o great creator" sarcasm dripping from this one. Alec looks at the plant. "How many of you are in Ireland" the plant grins. "We are everywhere my contacts spread far and wide" it leans down. "Why you got somethin important up there" Alec shakes his head. "Someone.....I need some plantoids to watch for rhona" the plant chuckles. "Calling in that whole creation favor for a girl" it makes a clicking noise. "Simple easy consider it done" a vine wraps around Alec. "You know you can only call that card sparingly" Alec stares at the plant. "I know....just do it"
A small plantoid is stationed close to the cave...it can't see the entrance nor does it know it's there....it just is there because the spot is nice. After all there was a woman and some rodent thing..both would make a most excellent snack. It's name....is flowey.
Alec is back in his home pacing.

As Xoxi was nodding off to sleep, Ratatoskr appears and gently yet firmly pats Xoxi's stomach.

"You. Yes you. I wanna talk to you lady."

Xoxi sits up and stares at Ratatoskr for a minute, before finally saying something.

"Who are you exactly?"

Revolting in disgust, Ratatoskr explains the situation calmly and jittery.

"So you're the one who made this weird mice thing right?"
"Who? Gyro?"
"If that's what you call the mouse thing, then yes."
"I think I did. Why are you asking?"
"Now y'see here lllllady. I'm Ratatoskr, the norse god of gossip, and I basically keep an eye on how the races in this world are going, making sure no new ones get created outta nowhere. It was a calm day, then you show up and make this... thing..."
"Gyro."
"Thank you, and now I gotta do more work to recalibrate the thing that lets me watch over everything with. Thanks for that."
"...Wait so you're saying I created a race?
*facepalm* "Yes. You did."
"I don't get it-why is Gyro the only one existing then? Shouldn't a lot of them have spawned?"
"Well you gotta do a process first. So I came to get 'chu so we can do the process, a thousand or something of them spawn, and I can get back to my relax time."
"...Okay then. Makes sense."

Ratatoskr opens the portal, and Xoxi leaves, carrying her valuable things, and her new friend Gyro.

Leon gently picked up the spider, resisting the great urge to crush the arachnid for breaking the seal. He let out a low growl of frustration as he placed the spider on the cave's wall. "You foolish creature! There are consequences for these kinds of actions!" He thought silently.

For the first time in 30 years, the sun rised along the western hemisphere, bathing the world in a warm, gentle light. This would be the first morning and the first "day" of the new age.

Leon faced his sister in his true form, the very one he has hidden from her for her entire life.

Rhona exhaled deeply then slowly opened her eyes, blinking slowly a few times as she slowly sat up. It was a few minutes before she realized that she was not only in a cave but she had company as well. " Who... Are you?" She murmered groggily, trying to remember how to speak.

"Yer brother." Leon replied bluntly.

"My brother... You realize... that is very hard to believe?"

"Yes."

"Do to have a name?"

"Yes."

"Well... What is your name?"

Leon blushed slightly, embarrassed from his own awkwardness. "Leon."

"Leon....? That sounds awfully close to...." Rhona's eyes stretch wide with sudden realization. "Leo.... Wait you're Leo?! But Leo's..."

"A lion? Yeah it's a long story." He paused. "Look. I understand if ya don't believe me... But please... Let me show you... My proof... That I am your brother. Your twin." His tone was pleading, yet sincere as he looked into Rhona's eyes.

Rhona was hesitant of the sudden news that she not only had a brother but a twin brother, but if he could prove it; she was willing to hear him out. "He doesn't sound like he's lying... I should hear what he has to say..." She thought as she nodded to him.

Leon gently, yet awkwardly, placed his forehead against his sister's. As soon as their foreheads touched, a gentle light emanated throughout the cave. Visions of Leon's past surged between the two. A new feeling erupted inside Rhona, a feeling she had never felt before. She felt whole, in a sense. The feeling was overwhelming, causing tears to flow from her eyes. She smiled laughing slightly as she finally knew that what Leon said was the truth.

"My brother... You are my brother... I have a brother..." She cried happily, and laughed slightly.

"Yeah." Leon smiled happily and laughed.

The two sat together smiling and laughing together, for what felt like hour as they reminisced about memories together that they didn't even know they had.

Leon dropped the barrier that had been placed on the cave, as he lead Rhona outside so that they could finally greet the morning... Together.

Flowey spots the two and bounce excitedly. This must be that Rhona everybody was fussing about. And it spotted her first. "Hey there! you're new around here. You might need some help..." It waves its vines beckoning. "I can help you..you can trust lil old me" Its about the size of a medium sized dog. Its smile definitely doesn't seem threatening. Weirdly Flowey already got the news out to the nearest plantoid...whom would get the news to the nearest one to them and so on until it got to Audrey. Audrey...whom doesn't tell Alec...yet. Flowey bounces about looking somehow cute and innocent. It is a solid green plantoid with ruby red lips.

Alec meanwhile is reading over the message about the trial...this is at least the 10th time he has read it in an attempt to distract himself. It is failing...miserably. He ends up getting up and pacing again.

Xoxi appears in the Nexus, dumbfounded and amazed at what she saw. Aside from the actual nexus, two humans appeared there! Boy howdy she had a desire to meet them!

But before she could go over to them, Ratatoskr pulled her to his tree where he watched the world unfold.

"Before you go screwin' around with those two, you need to do the deed and register the mouse race you created. Then you can go do whatever you want, lady."
"The name is Xoxi, and alright."

Xoxi went over to the globe of the world, marking races and locations of these races alike. Ratatoskr pulled a tiny switch as a small knife appeared over what seemed to be a crucible.

"Now I'm only gonna ask you this once. Cut yourself on the knife and make the blood pact go through."
"Pact?"
"Don't judge me for what I call this thing lady, you're the one who ruined my vacation."

Xoxi sighed, as she slit her wrist once over the knife. Blood dripping down into the crucible below.

As the blood drained away, a loud horn sounded through the nexus, signaling that a new race appeared on Earth. As the horn sounded, 1,000 Mycelings appeared in what remained of London.

"2 things. 1, ow. 2, I assume these are the Mycelings?"
"I mean if that's what you're calling these rodents, then yes."
"So what do I do with these things then."
"One thousand is a big number, so for a while they will be forming. In the meantime you can meet the other gods and goddesses around here, then go find a purple portal, which will take you to where the Mycelings reside now."
"Ok. Thank you Ratatoskr."
"No problem. Now go away so I can start my vacation."

Xoxi ran over to the other two gods in the Nexus, happily ready to greet them. Gyro, meanwhile, is asleep in Xoxi's bag, wrapped up in a blanket.

Xoxi ran up to the two gods she saw, rapidly approaching, excited to actually talk to two other people after having been alone for so long.

Reese sat in his room for an unknown amount of hours starting at the Crystal. Basically fantasizing about the time he'll have with Cythlla. Of course the thought of her sanity popped into his head Noe and then but he didn't care. He was determined to fall in love with her no matter what. Before he could return to his fantasies a loud knock gained his attention. The knock was followed by a familiar voice. "Father! Rubie and Emma sent a runner ahead and said they'll be back with the 100 squids within the next hour!" The man outside his home shouted. Reese stood exiting his room making his way to his door. "Thanks for the update Lapis!" He responded opening the door to the male imp that was present at the meeting.

Lapis saluted and was about to exit the premises until he was stopped by Reese. "Lapis! Before you go can you escort 10 of our worst prisoners to the woods south of the city." Lapis nodded and did as he was told not questioning Reese's request even though he was worried. When Lapis was out of view Reese disappeared back into his home changing into his combat clothes putting away his formal attire. Before leaving to the woods he retrieved the Crystal and brung it with him. He arrived in the woods before Lapis did and decided to set up the surroundings like a shrine. The Crystal being the center of the shrine. It wasn't too long that Lapis approached the site accompanied by 10 imps with not so welcoming expressions.

"I want you to let them free and leave the woods..." Lapis was confused about Reese's orders and hesitantly did as he was told. As he unshackled the last of the criminals Reese spoke again. "Please tell Rubie and Emma my location when they reach the city." Lapis nodded one last time before leaving the scene. When he believed that Lapis was far away enough Reese starred at the criminals with an odd smile on his face. Some of the criminals weren't happy about the looks they were getting. Shortly after the brief awkward silence Reese began to spoke. "I have a offer for you criminals..." He caught their attention quickly. "You'll all get your freedom if you kill me." He stated with a smirk. Him killing the criminals in self defense was reasonable and not all suspicious.

There was a short silence while the criminals thought of the offer. Soon they rushed Reese believing numbers will male them victorious in battle against Reese. Too blind by freedom and a hint of blood thirst they weren't aware of the sudden beating that came their way. 3 of them easily being swept of their feet and killed in the blink of an eye. Before one of them could recognize what was happening they were dead. Most of them with holes blown through their torsos'. All that remained was one and he knew there was no escape. Closing his eyes regretting every decision ihe made that led him to the situation he was in now charged towards Reese. Waiting to end his life for a greater purpose Reese stood clenching his fist readying himself to make swiss cheese out of the imp.

Surprisingly to him the imp that changed him was stopped by several arrows that pierced through him like he was paper. As the imp fell to the ground dead the sound of armor raddling slowly approached Reese from behind. A light feminine voice came from the armor that soon stood beside Reese. "F-Father are y-you alright....?" Emma asked her shy tone not fitting the current situation. Reese smiled. "I'm safe my child thanks to you." He patted her head and she smiled at the feel of accomplishment. "Me and Rubie have the 100 Squids Father!" Emma cheerfully shouted showing Reese a large bag stuffed with the 100 squids. "Woah and you carried that here by yourself! You're getting strong!" He complimented her taking the bag from Emma. She saluted and left from the woods leaving Reese.
