I recall there's a similar game called Avalon that had the psychological "who's the bad guy" vibe of Mafia.

The gist is you and your group are the King's counsel, but there are a traitors in the group who wish to sabotage the King.

Every turn a person gets to go on a mission and chooses a few others to accompany them. The counsel votes on whether they approve of the mission crew and if most people vote "Yes", then the mission is carried out. Otherwise, the next person chooses the mission crew instead.

Then during the mission, if one of the crew is a traitor, they can sabotage the mission, resulting in a defeat. However, a loyal servant to the king would never do such a thing and so a successful mission should contain only loyal servants*.

If enough missions end in defeat, then the traitors win. Otherwise, if enough missions end in success, the King's counsel wins.

Maybe something to consider?

Not really weird, more like unpopular:

• Taking up canonical character roles (beyond those Marvel/DC stuffs!) - then deconstruct them and rebuild them into someone deeper.

...Oh well, of course it's unpopular. Because it does sound insane when it's not Marvel yo.

I think an awesome RP idea would be a Harry Potter where Professor Umbridge and Professor Slughorn get together. That would be an awesome pairing/RP idea, at least I think so. They are both such wonderful characters and would go so well together. If anyone would be interested in that idea, I definitely would like to try that.

Then there is a Bellatrix Lestrange/Sirius BLack pairing idea I had. I know they are technically cousins and all, but incest is wincest right?!

Another idea I had, but have been too afraid to pitch myself is Hagrid/Hermione. This one could even go as far as to be downright smutty, so it would have to be in PM of course. But I mean, I can't be the only one who has really thought that Hagrid and Hermione getting together would be so damn hot though. I think it's partly because of Hagrid's projected size, if he remains anatomically correct.

Not sure if this has been said before, but I kind of want a Kill Bill/Akame ga Kill styled RP.

What I mean by that is that the very first post has all the characters dying and all of them already have relationships with other characters and generally is something of what you'd expect AGK to pull with a feels hit. Of course people would feel little attachment to these characters and relationships at the start but the purpose of the RP is to develop those things. Let the characters have fun and do cool shit with laughs all around but at the back of everyone's mind, they know OOC all their characters are going to die horribly and maybe not even come close to their final end goal as a sort of looming threat. Not sure how AGK in terms of how grimdark it would get but it would go but I'd assume the RP would need some damn good writers to have the sort of emotional impact I want from such an RP.

In general a NRP with sci-fi/modern tech but on a small scale as oppossed to a galactic, interstellar or even planetary scale. And when I say this, I mean without having some 'greater context' for said scale- all the nations involved fit within a single artificial faculty and whatever goes on outside the artifical faculity is irrelevant or non-existent. Leaving the faculity would be pretty much impossible- it'd just be seemingly endless layers of hard to drill through rock.

This actually sounds pretty interesting, something like an NRP is an Apature Labs facility.

An idea could be that you just use a 2D map going down or a floor plan of each level in place of a true 3D map.
