Kristina Smith

Location: Newnan Infirmary.

Kristina turned to look over at Astrid as she spoke, she respected Victor a lot and then eyed the unconscious girl who was the victim of Richard the girl must have been hysterical or something to make Victor angry enough to yell. Kristina thought about making another comment towards Richard but that wouldn't make the situation any worse, she eyed the armored woman that Richard had introduced to Victor. Kristina sighed softly as she just sat there for a moment as Kris watched Victor tending to the girl who had gotten her hand amputated, at least she will survive and live.

She decided to then get up, and let them do their thing she assumed that Victor didn't want so many eyes on him watching him tending to his newest patient. "I'll be outside if anyone needs me." Kristina said as she stood up and walked past someone who was just entering, she stepped outside of the courthouse taking in a deep breath and ran a hand through her hair as she looked around. Ashton was still inside of his truck, she then eyed the woman near the wagon still wearing the Viking armor, slightly curious and decided to approach Bridgette.

Kristina would eye both Cadence and Edgar, and remembered taking care of horses growing up she would look up at Bridgette and would smile slightly towards her. "Nice horses, what are their names?" Kristina would ask Bridgette as she approached Cadence and run her hand through it's main.

Niesha

location: Newman, infirmary

Niesha could feel the hysteria just rise continually, building up and spilling over in so many different ways. Challenging someone she knew nothing about, except for being grumpy and a jerk?l, was probably not a good idea. Nor was it a good idea to do so in a place she could easily be thrown out of. She couldn't stop herself. It had always been so. Things would just build up, until they spilled over in ways Niesha couldn't foretell. And she couldn't do anything about it.

When Richard moved to her, Niesha recognized the threat, remembering the attack only the day before, and automatically reached for an arrow, her bow, before remembering she didn't have this things. She was too slow to adjust, to slip into the basic self defense everyone knew, and before she knew it, she was on the ground, her vision fading in and out for a moment before her body gave up the fight for consciousness. The darkness descended, and for a time peace, the emotions fading as she sunk deep.

It didn't last long. She rose to consciousness slowly, like a balloon rising into the sky. She floated up, up, up, her mind fuzzy as it tried to process what had happened. The first thing her mind recognized was that she was restrained.

The scream ripped through her throat as if she was being attacked by an axe wielding maniac. Suddenly she was five years old, and experiencing what she imagined her brother must have. The scream was child-like, filled with the terror only a child could feel, as she bucked against the restraint, probably doing more to hurt herself then anything else.

The tears stung her eyes, spilling over in great fat drops, washing away dirt, dust, and whatever else that had accumulated on her face since her last full wash, and she sobbed. One name was repeated over and over as she struggled. "Harry, Harry, Harry, Harry..." a name she hadn't uttered in so many years, each uttering filled with nearly twenty years of grief and fear.

She was hog tied, in a world filled with dead who wanted nothing more then to eat you. She was further from finding her brother then she ever had been before. If there was no hope before the end, what hope was there now? As the bonds chaffed her skin, she seemed not to feel the warm blood, the pain. It was nothing compared to the shattering within the very essence of her heart and soul.

"Sophie..." her voice raw, it was no longer child liked but still filled with pain. Whether emotional or Physical it was hard to tell.

It was her fault the other woman had been bitten. If she had watched...if she hadn't drawn so many to that house fire...if she had told Sophie to take the horse with Astrid, would Sophie be lying unconscious, one handed? You couldn't tell the future and apparently the past would always haunt you.

She faught against the restraints, trying to break them but a weakness seemed to have taken over her body, and she wasn't able to. She caused more damage to herself then the restraint, and she began to hyperventilate as it became clear to her that she couldn't get free, "oh god"

Location: DMV in Carrollton, Georgia

Jack grinned a bit at her botched attempt at saying Boston. Frankly, he wasn't really from Boston--he was from Boylston. No one had ever heard of Boylston, for some reason that always escaped him. It was far easier to just name the Cradle of Liberty, the famed City Upon a Hill...He shook his head slightly, thinking fondly of his mother. She'd always give him that same speech about how fortunate he was to live in a city filled with what she called "breathing history." The cannoli wars developing in the same place that grew the Revolution. He couldn't help but imagine the place was destroyed, overcome with walkers or large gangs.

His smile fell, recalling the last time he had seen his mother.

"I knov of house. Ve stay at, maybe there,"

Tatiana seemed incredibly nervous, as far as he was aware. He nodded at her, forcing a grin, as he shoved the memories of his dead mother far back in his mind. He had someone to focus on now--Sutton was right about him, after all. He always did his best when he had someone to sacrifice for, someone to die for.

Pulling out a set of keys, Tatiana glanced at him with fear in her eyes. "You knov hov to drive?" He nodded. "I go, you come or not?"

She held out the keys and Jack took them with a soft smile. "Been a yeaah, might be a bit rusty..." He chuckled a bit, glancing at the various cars outside. One of them looked like there was someone inside of it, but as far as he was aware, it probably was just a walker, trapped by some clever soul.

"Tell me how to get there, yeah?" Jack requested, the keys jingling a bit in his hand. As nervous as Tatiana was, it never occurred to Jack that he had equal reason to be nervous. A strange girl was taking him to a house. He'd read the Road and knew that situations like that usually didn't end well, but it hardly bothered him at all. The thought that Tatiana was leading him to a trap went right over his head.

Perhaps it was a desire for human company; perhaps it was a death wish. "Which caah is yours?"

Tatiana Korvo

Location: DMV --> 515 Longview Street, Carrollton, Ga

"Better than me," Tati said quietly as he took the keys. She had never learned to drive, even after all these years. Davi was pretty particular about her truck and Tati was a wreck when it came to being behind the wheel of anything. It just wasn't something she was good at. She would much rather walk than to have to drive, riding in a car was bad enough to her. She just didn't like it, something about an enclosed space like that didn't sit well with her. It probably didn't help with all the vehicles they had seen over the years that were turned over or crashed into a ditch. Walking, even with Walkers about, seemed safer in the long run.

"Da, I shov you," she said as she hefted up the gas cans her and Davi had filled earlier. Making a quick check around to see what was outside, she was glad she didn't see any walkers. That was good at least, her friend wasn't becoming borsch for some deadie. Taking a deep breath she pressed outside a little bit further.

"Chevvy.... Truck," she said as she pointed to the vehicle in the parking lot. Hurrying over as quickly as she could she drained one of the gas cans into the tank and placed the rest in the bed of the truck before climbing in. She kept looking around nervously, half expecting someone Jack was with to suddenly pop out of no where and either take her prisoner or throw her out on her ass and leave her for dead in the middle of this small town. Waiting for him to climb in and start the truck she pulled out the map and pointed on it to where they were going.

"Here," she said as she looked over to him, her finger on a small dot on the map. It wasn't too far, a few minute drive. "Road already clear this way," she added and then put her seat belt on and waited for him to go ahead and head towards the house that her and Davi had slept at the night before. She hadn't planned on going back but they had secured the location just in case they needed to go back. Rule one for them on the road was, if you got separated, head to the last rest spot to meet back up and wait. That was what she intended to do.

Bridgette Vinters

Location: Atop the wagon, in front of the Courthouse

Bridgette found herself staring at the vehicular monstrosity across the way. Her scowling had receded marginally. Not enough for people to mistake her as being warm and/or friendly, mind you, just enough to show that there were other emotions working. Her mind went back to that morning, when she first saw the massive thing barrelling carelessly down the road. She had mixed emotions about the truck, simultaneously impressed by the machine and repulsed by it. Then again, she could be biased; her first experience with it involved a megaherd drawn to her and her sister-in-arms' position. The subsequent slow speed chase afterward was a very interesting way to spend the better part of a day, followed by entry into this ...quaint... little community.

She could see inside the truck, but just barely. The dying sun cast a glare across the front windshield, limiting her vision to outlines and movement within, for the most part. Details were scarce. Bridgette had the feeling that this lack of detail did not extend both ways; that if Ash were staring back at her, it would be through the near equivalent of one-way glass. Of course Mother Nature would conspire to give him the upper hand. Typical.

Existential questions about Newnan skipped and leapt through her thoughts. Who were these people? Did they come here together, or has this place been a crossroad of sorts for the last three years? And not of least importance, were these people actually decent folk, or was she in the middle of a setup?

The benefit of the doubt was given to that last question. Logically speaking, were they outright horrible people, they would have been stripped of possessions and riddled with holes the minute they were behind closed doors, either Bridgette's aggression or Niesha's insistent difficulties acting as the social lubricant to accelerate the approach of their impending doom. Quite the opposite, these people had overlooked their stunning lack of diplomacy. Not only giving them shelter, they saw to the medical needs of their fallen acquaintance and had enacted a plan to reroute the dead people at their heels. The people with guns that were ordered to stay by them did just that - stay by them. They didn't antagonize, they didn't take any threatening action whatsoever.

Still, Bridgette would have felt more comfortable with her spear in hand.

Her inner reasoning about the present situation gave way to a sound external to her own cranium. It was a voice, smallish and feminine. "Nice horses, what are their names?"

A young lady, practically a girl, smiling innocently up at her. Seemed nice enough. Then she stretched out her arm and began to caress her horse's mane. While she very probably didn't have any ill intention in mind, their horses meant the difference between life and death for them, may times over. Astrid tolerated Bridgette caring for her horse about as well as Bridgette tolerated Astrid in the reciprocal. That is to say, they trusted one another, but preferred to take care of it personally, exhibiting mild annoyance otherwise.

"Aw, hey there, cutie. Come a little closer, let me get a good look at you." Bridgette began sweetly. As she continued, her words slowly shifted to the bizarrely venomous. "We've been on the road for a while, dear, so you'll have to bear with while I explain. Ya see, you're taking an awful big risk there, laying hands on my horse, for a lady who's never fixed me a meal nor Cunnied my fucking Lingus. And just this second, you should be thanking whatever God abandoned you that I'm up here and not my friend."

Sally seemed to manifest next to the both of them, still working her appointed rounds passing out foodstuffs to newcomers and Newnanites alike. She stood, mouth agape, having witnessed the nigh psychopathic rant of the mail-clad Bridgette. Hesitantly, she passed over a cloth wrapped bundle. Bridgette accepted it and peeked inside. It looked quite a bit like hard boiled eggs, dried meat, and some manner of cracker. Not in any great amount, but enough to stave off the more gnawing bit of hunger pains.

With what sounded like intense sincerity, Bridgette shifted gears radically, addressing the lady with the food. "Oh, that is so fucking sweet. Thank you. Hey, can I get one for Astrid?"

As Sally passed over another bundle from her basket, Bridgette looked back to Kristina. "You see that? Huh? She can pet my horse."

Richard glancd up from watching Astrid restraining Motor Mouth and rolled his eyes are Kris's comment. "Listen sweet cheeks, according to you and yer dearly departed sister and guardian, my hittin' a woman is second nature for me. So why yer so surprised is fuckin' beyond me." His face was stone cold and emotionless as he growled the words at the only remaining member of the three muska-tardos. He glanced over to Astrid as she scolded Kris in a flat and emotionless way. Well that was nice. Wasn't often that Richard was the damsel in distress in a situation. Twice in one day, he was on a fucking roll apparently.

Victor continued his work in silence, tutting and huffing as he worked. He could feel the eyes of the viking woman and young Kris on him as he worked but it did not phase him. He could handle viewers, just not commentators. Richard glanced over to Kris and saw her staring at the one handed madam on the gurney being saved by Victor. Contrary to what people would believe, Richard did feel bad for Kris. He knew what it was to lose a loved one, a sibling or a friend, he'd been through the same. He'd lost his best friend before the outbreak when he was young, probably younger than Kris was now. His brother had died to save him, years ago, not long after the outbreak. He rubbed his thumbs along both his forearms, his hands clasping at them as he did so. He looked down at his tattoos and chewed on the insides of his cheek. His jaw squared off and he was only brought back to the present when Kris spoke out again. He expected it to be another retort at his expense but she was just stating her departure. Good. Richard didn't want to fight anymore.

Victor looked up momentarily and bid Kris goodbye with a silent nod of his head. The vein that had been pulsing not moments before had now calmed down enough that only a mild sheen of sweat could be seen on his forehead now. That was until Neisha awakened from her induced slumber and began to scream like a banshee. Richard glanced at the tied up chick and shook his head as she screamed like a god damn infant before she called out a name repeatedly. Harry. Who the fuck was Harry? Probably someone important to her, Richard and Victor both knew what that was like. To have the name of a lost one on the tip of your tongue in your most vulnerable moments of life. But it was no excuse to act like a damn baby in this world.

Neisha did not appear to be calming down and Victor growled loudly as she struggled against her restraints, her noise levels growing louder and louder. Harry's name was replaced by a Sophie and Richard almost walked over to clock her again, but instead Victor grabbed something from the cart and stormed over to Neisha as he yelled. "Calmez à vous seins!" His hands were clenched at his side, one of them was holding an administration device for delivering sedatives quickly to troublesome patients. It was his last ditch effort to calm her down while he finished his work on his patient who was, unfortunately, recieving interrupted care at the hands of her supposed friend. Victor pierced the needle into Neisha's neck and then moved away as quickly as he had arrived to continue his work.

The sedative was not enough to completely knock her out but it was enough to keep her docile and quiet until he was done. He looked to Richard and sighed heavily. "Could you take 'er to Miss Sally, s'il vous plaît? She needs somewhere quiet to relax, that is not near me, and she will need food and water. Miss Astrid, would you like to accompany Richard with your friend? That way she will 'opefully remain calmer once the sedative wears off." Richard gave a curt nod to Victor as he grabbed his former wheelchair and wheeled it over. One of the guys guarding the Infirmary doors ran over and hoisted Neisha into the wheelchair, knowing full well that Richard couldn't do it right now. A gruff "Thank you" came out of Richard before he began to try and push the chair. He then realised it hurt like a mother fucker and winced from the pain.

"Mary mother of fuckin' Jesus that smarts! Fancy helpin' a damsel in distress?" He nodded at Astrid then nodded at the drugged up Neisha. Victor walked over to Richard and handed him a small box of medical supplies for dealing with minor wounds. "To clean the wounds from 'er restraints." He left as quickly as he came and went back to work. Richard chuckled a little and nodded before looking to Astrid. "Shall we find ya some proper food and get this one somewhere quiet and away from Doc?"

Astrid Hansen

Location: OR --> Back Shower Room and Lounge Area of The Court House

"She's no friend of mine. Ran across her outside not thirty minutes before I got here. You'll know my people when you see them," Astrid commented quickly. With the way the woman had been mouthing off towards the doctor she didn't want a thing to do with her. There were a few people in this world you never pissed off no matter what. One were the people that handled your food. Two were the people that could keep you alive. Right now that was the doctor; they were few and far to come by in this world and now that they didn't send out bills that were longer than a mile long for a simple aspirin, they were even more valuable.

Yet, Astrid nodded simple and hoisted the girl up in her arms, she wasn't very big and compared to Astrid was tiny in stature. Bumping the OR door open with her rear end she waited for Richard to get himself out of the OR before letting him lead her off towards a quiet place to put the girl down and get her out of the restraints. At least then they could take a look at the damage the girl had done to herself but in her mind the damage she had done to herself was far better than what she could have done if things had continued the way they were going. For all she knew that Froggy guy would have gutted her and served her up with a nice wine for dinner if she kept mouthing off. What? She didn't know if he was a good doctor or not at this point and there were plenty of tales in history of people eating other people when times got tough. Right now, the end of the world it didn't seem like it was that far out in left field as far as ideas went.

Once led to the back room where they Richard and Zoie had been earlier Astrid dropped the woman on the couch without a second thought and waited to Richard to hand her the pack that Froggy had given them. She was no doctor but she had learned enough first aide over the years to tend to something as minor as this. Looking over at Richard she noted his wounds a little more closely. "Why don't you go find us some food and water and then come back and tell me what all has been going on here to cause you to look like that," she said as she set the supplies down on the ground next to her and got comfortable as she rolled Neisha over enough to be able to get the restraints and tend to them as best she could.

"Fuck, grab me a knife or something so I can cut these off. The doorman made me hand over everything and put it in my cart outside before we entered," she said as she rested her hands over her knees and waited. There wasn't much else she could do right then other than watch over the woman and make sure she didn't get herself into anymore problems. Granted it was the last thing that she wanted to do right then. She wanted to get back to Bridgette and find out what she knew so far and pass on what she had learned since she had gotten into the courthouse.

"Just hold still and I'll remove those, keep it up and I'll tighten them," Astrid added as she waited for Richard to return with what she needed; gripping her leather strap and adjusting it a bit to make her shield a little more comfortable on her back.

Jack Hudson

Location: DMV in Carrollton, Georgia --> 515 Longview Street, Carrollton, Georgia

Jack nodded, peering outside as well as Tatiana did a quick check for walkers. He didn't see any, but it was extremely comforting to him that she didn't seem to spot any either. Tatiana moved forward a bit more, pointing out the chevy.

"She's a beaut," Jack whispered, tempting to whistle a bit. He'd learned from that mistake, making unneeded noise tended to only bring more harm. Tatiana dashed off to the truck and Jack quickly followed, climbing into the driver's seat after Tatiana had finished filling the tank with gas. He inserted the key and, as quietly as he could, started the engine.

"Here. Road already clear this way," Tatiana instructed, pointing to a small point on the map. Tatiana buckled up, but Jack hardly bothered. Being killed in a car accident was far more desirable than being bitten by a walker. It almost sounded like a vacation. Turning slightly, due to an old habit, Jack pulled the car out of the small parking spot, before shifting the truck into drive.

"Yuh friend, did you two have a meet up point or somethin'?" Jack asked, quickly driving to the house. Had he had his way, he would have floored it, but the prospect of revving the engine gave him pause. It'd be too needlessly noisy, reckless even, practically like announcing Hey, fresh eats!

Glancing over at the map again, Jack was glad to see the DMV receding into the distance. It wasn't too far of a drive to the house, and he cherished the freedom of movement. Losing his car and going on foot had been one of his more terrifying experiences. It was hard to protect yourself with a tarp--at least in a car, there was metal and glass, helping to keep the walkers out.

Unless, of course, those bastards learned how to open a car door or roll down a window. Jack had never seen one able to, but if his years on the force taught him anything, it was that anything was possible. That and that he was rather paranoid.

"This it?" Jack asked, nearing the house. "Anywhere in particulah we should pahk?"

Kristina Smith

Location: Newnan Watchtower.

Kris looked at Bridgette the moment she opened her mouth she seemed nice, until her voice changed Kristina stood there and glared at the Viking woman all she wanted to do was be friendly to the newcomer but instead she decided to treat her like shit. "Oh, well i'm fucking sorry that you've been on the fucking road the whole time." Kristina glared as she stepped away from Cadence she clenched her fist trying fight the urge to punch the woman, though she would most likely loose if she did. "You don't even fucking know me, and I was trying to get to know you and I've been through fucking hell the last few hours!" Kristina suddenly yelled just as Sally came over with some food, she would take the food and then glared at Bridgette.

"So why don't you take that food you got and shove it where the sun don't shine." Kristina said as she walked past Bridgette giving her one last glare before making her way back towards the courthouse, she would look up at the clock tower and decided to keep watch for the distraction team to come back. Kristina entered the courthouse once more as she looked over at Astrid, Richard, and Niesha hearing the other Viking woman asking for a knife she sighed slightly to herself as she took out her knife and handed it over to Astrid. "Here, to cut her restraints." Kristina said as she looked towards Richard, she might as well apologize for attacking him early and decided to just answer Astrid's question.

"My sister, a friend of mine and I did that to him, something that happened three months ago. Basically left my sister to die, but she was still alive and made it here before me or my friend did." Kristina said as she started to make her way up towards the clock tower where a guard was taking watch. "I'll take watch." Kristina said as the man at the tower nodded as he handed her his rifle and eagerly left, she looked out over the horizon as she could see the large bulk of the herd started to leave slowly. Kristina would look down at the wrapped food that she had been given, she would lay it down on the floor for now and leaned forward getting a good view of the sun slowly setting before her.

Niesha

location: Newman, infirmary then "Quite Place"

There was only one weapon Niesha had to herself, and as the doctor approached her, she tried to bite him, but by then it was too late as she felt the needle pierce her neck. She couldn't believe the arrogance of this doctor, and the complete and utter disregard for he had for human life. What if she was allergic to whatever he had just injected her with?

Had the man simply given up? or was he like this before? What had he given her? She could figure it out from the effects it worked on her, that false calm, the soothing effect that was non-the-less unnerving. It was a sedative of sorts, and she struggled against it, knowing it was foolish, but unable to stop herself. The way she was handled about as if she were nothing more then a sack of flour made her feel angry, but in the position she was in, she couldn't do anything about it.

And the sedative was just making her more panicked, although it wasn't showing, aside from an increase in her breathing. How ironic was it that she didn't actually like using drugs on herself, but that she had been a pharmacist? Astrid was saying something, but it seemed far away. She wriggled, and let out a small whimper. How long was she going to be tied up?

"Just get them off. My brother was kidnapped and I would have been too, if I hadn't run off..." Why was she even saying that? As if that could excuse her behavior? They were all messed up. Some more then others. She just wanted her hands free, so she didn't have to think about things in the past.
"Please"
She knew her voice sounded slurred, and that she probably wasn't make any sense, but she didn't care.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: 515 Longview Street, Carrollton, Ga

"Da, alvays have back up plan," Tati said as she kept an eye on the map and the road as they made their way towards the house that her and Davi had shared the night before. It wasn't much but at least it was something. It was all she had right then. Three years of being with someone, day in and day out made you close to them whether you wanted to be or not. She refused to believe that Davi was gone, that she would never see her again, even though she knew that was a very real possibility in this day and age but they had managed to hold on this long, why couldn't they get through this and find each other again? They had these back up plans and such for a reason. It wasn't the first time they had gotten separated, they had found each other after days apart before, why could they not find each other again? All Tati knew for sure was she wouldn't give up until she was sure and even then she would still hold up hope.

"Here," she said as she pointed down the driveway and around to the back of the house. Once they were there and parked she climbed out of the truck and quietly shut the door. "Keys?" she asked as she stepped around and held her hand out. Even though she couldn't drive and he could, the truck was still technically Davi's and the last thing she wanted to explain to her nearest and dearest if... no when she found her again was why this guy was holding on to the keys to her truck. That was not a fight she wanted to get into. This was a time of life where you picked your battles if you could and the more you could avoid the better.

Once the keys were in her hand she shoved them in her pocket and pulled out her hunting knife, motioning towards the lightly barricaded back door of the house. It didn't look like anything had been moved or was missing from when they had set everything up to start with that morning, which cause Tati's heart to drop. Maybe she had just gotten back first, she had taken the truck; which would mean that Davi would have to walk and that could take hours if not till morning to get back depending on how things went down.

Cautiously she stepped towards the back door and pushed back the various pieces of furniture and tree branches they had used earlier before being able to get the door open. "Should be safe inside," she said as she glanced back over towards Jack and forced a bit of a nervous smile. She was taking one hell of a chance to let him know where she and Davi had been staying as well as letting him inside. She just hoped that he turned out to be as nice as he seemed and not some wacko who had a fetish for Russian Ballerina's. That was the last thing she needed.

The house at one time was probably very nice and even after all these years and being ransacked it was still in rather good shape. There was some blood on the walls where hands had gripped but it was long dried. Tati and Davi had found a few bodies in the house the day before but they had quickly chucked them out the back door and drug them to the back of the yard so they were not in the house anymore. Looking around Tati dropped her pack on the table and sighed, if Davi was there she would have said something by now. The woman was not exactly quiet, unless she had to be. Inside the house one could risk talking quietly since they had cleared out all the walkers around the area for the most part and there had been none inside.

Once Jack was inside she closed the door and pushed the hutch in front of it again before taking a breath and putting her hunting knife away. She looked over to him, still nervous but willing to at least try to give the man the benefit of the doubt. He had already saved her life from a walker and he hadn't tried anything yet. Maybe he was just smart and waiting for him moment, granted then again maybe he was just a good guy.

"Um, hungry?" she asked quietly as she turned to her bag and pulled out a can of peaches and a bottle of water, holding it out to him. She was trying but the shaking of her hands showed that the little bird was still very nervous.

Jack nodded, turning into the driveway and following Tatiana's directions, heading behind the house. The car slowly went to a halt as he delicately pressed on the breaks, and quickly switched the car into park, putting on the parking break, turning off the headlights, and removing the key from the ignition. It was a drill from Driver's Ed that stuck with him, even at the end of the world, it'd seem.

"Keys?" Tatiana asked as they quietly got out of the truck, shutting the doors with the utmost of care. He nodded, handing them over to her with a teasing salute. "Keys."

He smiled at her, attempting to get her to calm down. He could tell that she was still incredibly nervous, palpably so. Had she not seemed so frightened, he might have joked about it. Instead, he debated on whether or not it'd help her by saying the most stereotypical Boston thing: pahk the cahh in havahd yahd. Though, he figured that finding her friend would be the only thing that could truly help Tatiana.

Tatiana cleared the door, and Jack nodded at the makeshift barricade they had constructed. Tatiana and her friend hadn't been messing around, clearly. "Should be safe inside."

Jack smiled back. "Glad to heaah it," Jack said, walking inside after her. He took a last glance behind him, noticing some disturbances in the dirt, as if something had been dragged. His eyes started to follow the trail, but Tatiana closed the door, and he attempted to assist her in moving the hutch. However, she seemed to have a hand on it, so Jack nodded and stood there awkwardly, trying his best to not get in the way.

"Um, hungry?" Tatiana asked, holding out a can of peaches and a bottle of water. He chuckled, setting down his makeshift tarp bag, and pulled out some roasted squirrel meat. He offered it to her, accepting a single slice of peach from the can of peaches. It had been ages since he had anything sweet, and only once Tatiana had accepted some meat would he eat it.

"It's, uh, it's squiahl meat," Jack explained. "I don't want to eat all of yoah food. It's even, this way."

He hesitated, realizing that Tatiana might have suspected it to be poisoned. He took a small piece of the meat and popped it in his mouth, looking a bit goofy as he struggled to chew and swallow it quickly. "It's, uh, it's safe," Jack said, finally managing to finish the bit of meat.

Bridgette Vinters

Location: Atop the wagon, in front of the Courthouse

The girl who touched her horse seemed to take offense at Bridgette's helpful and informative monologue concerning her people's etiquette on equestrian familiarity and requisite actions which, if following protocol, must be taken to ensure unchallenged physical contact thereon. The rules in this particular exchange, as described by the taut and svelte Illinois native, involved the offering of victuals or the giving of stress-relieving oral gratification. To Bridgette's thinking, this was a fair exchange of goods and/or services, suitable for a few minutes' time caressing her most prized of horseflesh; her destrier with the militarily musical name of Cadence.

Then again, if Bridgette were being honest with herself, she was definitely being a bitch.

The girl had issues, certainly. Granted, she was being overly informative with her situation, a point which one of less scruples would use against her if the opportunity arose. Nonetheless, Bridgette was incapable in that moment of letting the challenge go unanswered, at least in some tiny, barely meaningful way.

Thusly, in response, Bridgette widened her eyes and made a derisive face at the retreating girl's back, complete with protruding tongue. She extended her very best One Fingered Salute with as much gusto as was manageable, overall looking slightly like a very annoyed tween despite her more mature stature. The mail-clad scrapper chuckled slightly at herself. She was glad to be alive, glad to be behind walls right now with people, live people, who didn't want to kill her. At least, not yet. No, Bree likely had much more in the way of "being herself" before the actual death threats began. If she had a drink at the moment, she would have toasted to it.

The next couple of moments passed as rather a comma in the great sentence of the moment; that is to say a brief pause before something else noteworthy occurred. Bridgette checked her bundle of food, even nibbling a little bit on the dried meat provided. She couldn't quite pick out the flavor from meat she had tried before. It wasn't obviously one thing or another. Perhaps she should have asked. Nonetheless, her voiceless, internal inquiry was cut short by a sudden feeling of being watched. It was a cold, hollow feeling, perhaps conveying the emotion (or lack thereof) emanating from the viewer. This felt of dread.

Bridgette slowly turned, the look of contempt draining from her face, to see that the door to the Hordebuster had opened. Ash was emerging from his Safe Place, and he looked righteously pissed off. The .45 in his hand did little to soften the image.

Ashton Holloway

Location: Hordebuster, Courthouse

Ash couldn't believe it. Absolutely could not.

Not the scene with the Viking Blacksmith; Ash had known her for almost an hour, and it was enough not to be surprised at what was transpiring on and near the wagon. If he had the capacity for emotion at the moment, the line about Cunnying her fucking Lingus would have sent him spilling out of the truck with gales of whooping laughter, possibly banging his head against the steering wheel repeatedly on the way down. Ash wanted to hate the tall woman. He wasn't sure if he could.

No, it was the impromptu and unauthorized changing of the guard up top in the Sniper's position. Leaving post was what got their Agriculturalist killed. Going against orders in this place can get you unceremoniously executed. And this man personally knew Ash - had worked for his family for some time, and had been with him almost since the beginning of this mess. One of Ash's Virginia Folk acting in this manner was unthinkable.

The incensed Captain swung open the door to his massive, undead herd destroying truck, and stepped out. He drew his Detonix .45 pistol and let it hang by his side, striding purposefully to the Courthouse door. Ash passed the wagon, perfectly aware that the tall woman dressed in metal was staring at him, not particularly caring. He had other business to handle that didn't involve him being berated for doing his job. The front doors swung open before Newnan's New Commanding Officer, propped open by nearby citizens doing nearby citizen things. Just inside the ingress, Ash met up with the man who had just left the clocktower.

His name was Guy. And Guy was in a lot of trouble.

"Stop. Right there." he began, his voice low and hollow sounding, amplified and echoy due to the acoustics of the building and his position within it, plus the raw, grating emotion injected into every word. "You need to tell me exactly the fuck why you decided to follow the orders of a teenaged girl who's been around less than a day, with zero authority within these walls. You need to tell me right goddamned now why you abandoned your post against orders - my orders - and relinquished your rifle to someone you don't know."

The man stared at Ash, eyes wide, deer-in-headlights style. Not allowing him to respond just yet, the Captain continued, "You don't have a bullet in you because we go way back, but this is the end of my mercy. Now, get your ass back up to your post. Get your weapon back, and do your fucking job! First thing tomorrow, you report to me for your work assignment. As I obviously cannot trust you to stand watch, I'm going to find something a little less important and a LOT less pleasant for you to do for the next month. Now, move your ass, Guy!"

Noise ceased. People scarcely breathed as the enraged man spoke. You could hear a pin drop, and certainly could hear the speech for a long ways around; from the clocktower clear to the motor pool. The first thing to break the tense silence was Bridgette, from atop her wagon: "HA! Attaboy, Walldick! LEAN ON HIM!"

Ash's gun swinging temporarily in her direction made short work of her laughter. At least on the outside.

Oh you poor poor people, it seems people are not reading what is being put forth or just jumping the gun, so let's put it out there that that is going to stop. You see, in posts where things happen they have been rolled for and discussed. What happens and such is determined by LLA. Examples recently of being able to knock out characters, hog tie them, gag them and so forth. You see, those ideas came to Rpers and were presented to the GMs. Gm's rolled for them. So, when people say they wake up before LLA deems them to, that they talk while gagged and so forth.... It is not only is a breach of this Rp's protocol but it ticks off your Gm's. ALso, in a scene you cannot go from outside of a building, to inside, to finding people in the back of a building, to being at the top of the building. Posts are not usually meant to last that long and make people have to play catch up. Not only that but to have an NPC that the GM put into play suddenly do something an RPer thinks is okay - Like handing off a gun to someone who just waltzed into the scene - It doesn't sit right. So... We are going to handle all that and post haste. Some parts of previous posts will be deemed either "It didn't happen" or it was "A dream" - Any further breaches will be met with additional LLA rolls.

So remember, if you want your character to be able to do something - You have to run it by the Gm for a roll to be made. If the NPC hasn't been cleared for you to control, you don't. Got it? Good. Now, read carefully folks because LLA has made some rolls for these scenes to ensure that things get back on track and we are doing a small time jump to bring the characters that were leading off the Walkers back within the Walls.

Guy knew he had fucked up, it had been a long day and with all the new people coming in and people dying he wasn't sure what was going on. He had made the big mistake just assuming everything was calm, it was anything but. He gave a quick nod to Ash as he was berated and once finished tore back up to the tower and yanked the gun out of the woman's hand, glaring at her.

"How dare you come up here to take over without having an order from our Boss. Get your fucking ass out of this tower right now and you go report to Ash, the man in charge before you do one more fucking thing. I see one hair out of place on your head or hear of one misstep and I will put a bullet through your skull faster than you can say Jackie Robinson," he barked as he shoved her out of the way. Taking his post position back he sat down and kept an eye out for any more problems. He was not going to leave his post again or even answer to anyone else unless it was Ash directly, he wasn't about to be kicked out of Newnan.

Astrid Hansen

Location: Back Shower Room and Lounge Area of The Court House

Astrid perked a brow slightly as she took the knife from the woman who came in out of no where and shook her head a bit. "I didn't ask you," was all she said as the woman left and smirked a bit as she pocketed the knife. Looking back over at the "hostage" she sighed. She couldn't understand a thing the woman was mumbling about, she was gagged, had been since she hog tied her. She was glad she couldn't understand and hadn't been able to understand a single word that had dripped from her mouth period since she had hog tied and gagged her. Some people just didn't know when to shut up and needed a little bit of help. She was quickly beginning to understand just why the man known as Froggy had lost his temper.

Standing up she hovered with her six foot built frame over the red head and crossed her arms over her chest. The medicine that Froggy had injected her with would be starting to wear off now and perhaps she needed to repeat herself a little bit. Taking a breath she just stood there in silence for a time and as she was going to start talking she heard the screaming from the what she could only assume was a man. They were in the back of the courthouse, away from the infirmary, and behind a thick closed door; making out what the man said was not going to happen, all she did know was that who ever was doing the yelling was not happy. Seemed there was a lot of that going around right now. Once the screaming stopped she nodded to herself, perhaps now she could speak.

"Listen, and to do that, you need to open your ears and close your lips. Until I hear otherwise, I am not undoing the restraints. Not with how badly you riled up the Doctor, not after you tried to bite the man. Sorry, but to me a doctor is more valuable than a wind bag. Now, I will remove the gag now but I swear to Odin, you keep mouthing off and I will shove the gag back in your mouth and sew it into place," Astrid said as she stood there, her tone wasn't harsh; it was simple flat and matter of fact. Astrid wasn't one to loose her temper, she just got the job done; what ever that was. Right then, it was keeping this fireball from ticking anyone else off and getting herself killed in the process because right now it seemed tempers were running high and she wasn't about to get kicked out of a place behind walls because of some child.

Reaching down Astrid finally untied the fabric from behind the girls head and unwound it several times until it could be removed from between Neisha's lips. She stood there, the fabric gripped tightly in one hand as she waited to see what happened. If the girl decided to cause more problems she would put the gag right back in place without a second thought. She didn't want to keep her bound right then but she wasn't about to undo the restraints. They were going to stay in place until either the guy from the Wall, that country bitch that had run off, or the doctor told her she could. As far as she had seen since their arrival, those three were the only true people in any position of authority. Rule one of being in someone else's house was to respect the house.

Zoie Crawford

Location: Back Of James' Truck --> At the Scene Of The Bitch Fest

It was wash, rinse and repeat until the Walkers were headed towards Peachtree City, Zoie kept up her usual antics until everything was good and they were on the long way back around to Newnan. Flopping down in the bed of the truck and letting out a breath of relief, the job was done and the people of her new home were as safe as they could be for the evening. It made Zoie feel good to know she had played a small hand in that. On the way back the vocal country girl kept quiet though, thinking on what to do next. In the end she decided she would take the job. At least it would give her some direction other than just roaming anymore and it made her feel better to know that Froggy would be behind walls doing what he was trained to do.

Zoie looked up at the top of the wall as Jim took note that the three had returned. It was growing dark and she was glad they had made it back before the sun went down fully. A couple of bangs on the top of the truck to signal for James to go ahead and pull in. Once the truck with the trio was inside Jim closed the gate and had a couple of Newnan folk lock it up tight. Turning she looked up at Jim and gave a thumbs up. "No one be in our out without Bosses okay now," she yelled up to the tower and got a thumbs up in return. Newnan was closed for the night.

She waited for Mr. James to park the truck near the armory and hopped out, giving Byrn a little bit of a smile as she helped get the motorcycle out of the bed of the truck. "Thanks much for yer help, mighty kind of ya. Why's not grabs some food and such," she said as she pointed over towards the courthouse where Ms. Sally was still helping people. That was until the bellowing happened and Zoie froze and listened.

"Oh someone done pissed in bosses Cheerio's," she said under her breath before gathering her bag and walking over towards Ash. She needed to report in with what had happened, was about time some good news came to the place from what she had seen and heard.

"Boss, wesa take care of. Them Eaters well on their way to Eden and be giving those fuckers a right hard time for a while I's suspect," she said happily. She wasn't about to ask what all the yelling was about, she figured out enough from what was said. "Oh and Boss, I been thinking. Gonna take that Mexican's advice. This place be home, I take you up on that job offer. That is if ya still think I can do the job," she added before glancing around a bit.

"Looks like ya could use a drink boss. Mind if I put me stuff up and check on some things and then we grab somethin' to dull our mind fer a bit?"

Tatiana Korvo

Location: 515 Longview Street, Carrollton, Ga

"Squiahl meat?" Tatiana repeated, trying to figure out just what in the world a squiahl was. She took the meat and looked it over a bit, not exactly sure what to think about it. Granted right then any meat was welcome but she wasn't sure if it was safe. As if reading her mind he took a bite and she nodded gratefully. Taking a small bite of it she chewed a bit, trying to place the flavor but still couldn't. Well whatever a squiahl was, it didn't taste too bad. "Spasibo... I mean thank you," she said as she pulled out a chair at the kitchen table and had a seat.

It wasn't such a bad meal; a can of peaches, some "squiahl" meat, and water. There were surely worse things to eat and anything was better than nothing. Sitting back she worried about Davi, she knew she needed to stay put and wait for a while at least. It was getting dark and she didn't want to end up getting lost or hurt and Davi show up at the house to find her not there. They had a plan if they got separated and she was following it. Granted, having a plan and carrying it out where two different things. It was hard to just sit and wait to see what happened, especially when you were barricaded up in a house with someone you had just run across at the same time your friend vanished.

Sitting there she picked at the meat that was given to her and ate a peach little by little. It felt like that moment on a first date, that awkward silence had set in. Tatiana didn't mind silence usually but it was very uncomfortable right then and she was worried. She wanted to break the tension but she had never been the best at opening up about stuff. Maybe he would be better at it than her. Clearing her throat a bit she gave a thin lipped forced smile.

"Vhat you do before... this?" she asked waiving her hand about a bit. She wasn't exactly sure what to call all that had happened over the last three years. She had heard some call it the end of the world but for her it didn't feel like that. It was just another war to her, this time just against something new instead of another country. The wandering, the trying to survive, it was all too familiar to her. Going from place to place, always trying to find somewhere safe only to have to move again before you died. It was how she had grown up. A refugee then, a refugee now. Seemed somethings never changed in her mind.

Jack Hudson

Location: 515 Longview Street, Carrollton, Georgia

"Yeah, squiahl meat...It's like...like chipmunk meat, but not..." Jack explained, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. He grinned as she took a bite, nodding at her thanks. He took a seat opposite her at the table, keeping his hands on the wood, his fingers spread out. It was an old trick he'd learned as a cop in order to get someone to be more comfortable--hopefully, it'd keep Tatiana feeling safer, as his hands weren't anywhere near his weapons.

He bit into the peach slice he took, closing his eyes and humming slightly. It was the food of the gods to him. So sweet, slightly damp, and as his mother would have reminded him, likely low in calories. Opening his eyes, he watched Tatiana as she picked away at her food, and he continued to eat some of the squirrel meat. He did so sparingly, uncertain as to when or where his next meal would be coming from.

Glancing up at her question, Jack couldn't help but grin wider at her smile. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful it was, and how kind. It was either that or he was imagining things, but he didn't care. "I was a cop," Jack explained. "Worked the Chicago beat, nothin' too fancy. And you...let me guess....a writah? Fantasy stories maybe?"

While he did hope she'd feel comfortable enough to open up to him, he didn't want to pressure her into it. He couldn't help but feel that she was a fragile piece of china, ready to break at any moment. Of course, he knew that it couldn't have been the case--no one weak, as far as he was aware, could've survived this long.

"I was in Vice--stopped pimps and the like. Took caahe of some real nasty sons of bitches," Jack finished, chuckling a bit.

Kristina Smith

Location: Newnan Watchtower.

Kristina looked down below her for a moment seeing Ashton getting out of the Buster, and she could see that the man was pissed off then Guy the man who she had taken his place getting yelled at. She froze for awhile as he ordered Guy to get back, a few seconds later he came back up and yanked the rifle from her hand and berated and threatened to shoot her in the head if she had done anything wrong. Kristina was about to open her mouth again, but she was afraid he would actually go down on the threat. Kristina turned around without another word and headed back down through the courthouse and opened the doors to report to Ashton.

Kristina walked up to him seeing the gun still in his hand, she avoided eye contact just from his body language she saw he was very pissed off. Kristina awkwardly bit her lower lip she was nervous what he would actually do, she knew that she had done something wrong, then a few seconds later Kristina finally made eye contact with Ashton. "Reporting just as you asked.." Kristina said softly as she watched the truck driving in with James, Bryn and Zoie. Kristina stood there shifting around uncomfortably as she waited for the next berating of the day.

Ashton Holloway

Location: Courthouse

The look on Ash's face was that of pale duality. His face was emotionless stone, despite the blatant chewing out he had just administered to one of his oldest living friends. The eyes told a different story, however. Pain and rage warred with each other, threatening to burst out at any moment. It was a dam looking for a moment to crack open, though whether it released grief or madness lay open to speculation.

Zoie approached, seemingly with some hesitation. Ash could only imagine how disheveled and unstable he appeared. The gun probably didn't help much, either. Numbly, he holstered his weapon and turned his head to the Very Very Southern lady, listening to her speak. Ash breathed the tiniest sigh of relief when the news came back that the horde had been diverted, and nodded soberly at the clarification that they were indeed diverted to Eden.

The thought had occurred to him that willingly moving the horde in a specific direction may cause some casualties among the innocent - if Eden was such a horrible place there may well be prisoners there, or bystanders between Newnan and Peachtree that would get swept away by the flood of the Dead. On the other hand, an obvious and major threat like a couple thousand corpses funneling down the highway would give excellent cause for random folk to flee for their lives. It may even give people held by the bastards in Eden opportunity to escape. While Ash held no delusions that his orders to divert the horde would result in only good, beneficial things for decent people and horrible, justified ripping deaths to bad ones, his first priority was to the people of Newnan. Moving the horde was good for the community. Moving the horde to Eden, while not compassionate in the slightest, was also good for Newnan.

Others die so that his people could live. That's just the way the world worked now. Look after your people, make damned sure they're worth it.

Ash raised an eyebrow upon hearing that Zoie accepted his offer to take over as his Second. He had already made his decision on the matter earlier in the day, but fate conspired to deprive him of his first and second choices. His difficulties with Vivian notwithstanding, she would have made an excellent leader. Caesar? The old man was powerful, respected, and already was a great leader of men before the world turned to shit. Selecting a newcomer was a huge stretch for him, but Caesar backed her in his final moments. Besides, with all of the new people coming in that day, it would favorably influence the loyalty of the rest if recent additions were given positions of authority.

At that moment, Kristina returned from the tower. She locked eyes with Ash and began speaking as if she did not notice the conversation that he was already in. The mentally shaken Captain held up one finger, indicating with irritation that he would be with her momentarily. He held his gaze at the young woman for a moment longer, before returning to Zoie. "Maybe later. Place not too far from here, fella can get a drink. I have some things first, need my attention."

"You."
he said with lowered voice, to Kristina. "You and I have both had a very bad day. Before our really bad day ends, there are a few things you need to know. First: You give no one orders in this place. I have no idea why you thought that was acceptable, but it's not. Second: Report to the Armory and turn over your sidearms. Tom will assign you a lock box. Until I know if you're a loose cannon, you're strictly civilian here. Third: Sally will assign you quarters. I strongly suggest you settle in for the evening. You are dismissed."

Ashton looked back to Zoie and nodded curtly. He flatly stated a simple, military "Ma'am." and briskly walked off. The last few rays of the sun outlined his form as he strode out of the front door, past the wagon, and around to his personal quarters in a building that used to be called "Wynn House", a former dwelling converted to an antique store, re-converted into housing. Having rank gave him slightly better accommodations. A mote of privacy, at least. Soon, he would have to deal with the quarters of the fallen Newnanites, a task he was not anxious to begin.

Before he could get more than a few meters from the Courthouse door, he heard James' voice call from his truck. "Boss! Hey there, Bossman! Yo, we gots us a cow, um, caught in some branches from befoe. She just dead, or real near to it. Can I get some couplea boys and get Besse down? Maybe fire up Mr. Smokey and get us a good meal set up fo tomorrow?"

Ash never addressed the man directly. Instead, he spoke into his walkie, communicating with the Gate, "James Grady and a small party are handling an issue near Agriculture. Let them pass." As an afterthought, he continued, "And someone from Domestic, find a grassy spot inside the wall that the Valkyries can set up on for tonight."

James intoned a cheerful message of gratitude and began turning his truck around, while Ash continued to his quarters, emotions high but still buried beneath the stone that was his psyche.

Richard Johnson

Location: Quiet area of the Courthouse

Giving a polite nod to Astrid as she lifted their talkative new visitor, Richard wheeled himself out as best he could and led them to the room where he'd managed to nap earlier. He smirked a little to himself as he remembered Zoie earlier but then frowned as he recalled the bruises upon her body. A small huff of laughter let out when Astrid dumped the red head on the couch and he shook his head lightly. "Girl just had to keep her mouth shut and she'd have been fine." The irony was not lost on Richard. If he'd just kept his mouth shut earlier, he'd never have had the crap beaten out of him by Lorna but hey, hindsight was a wonderful thing.

Richard moved to hand the box of first aid supplies to Astrid and was about to give the short version of the story until he looked up and saw Kris storming into the room. He shut his mouth and glowered as she handed a knife over to Astrid and he rose an eyebrow wondering how she'd heard the question before she'd even entered the room. Then he heard her answering but was surprised when her answer was so short and uninformed that he wondered why Maria hadn't told her sister the whole story of their "split up". Opting to keep his mouth bolted shut, Richard merely maintained his angry glare and wheeled himself out of the room before Kris could storm out to do whatever other shit she was about to do. Girl needed to stop clamming up and talk to someone but, like himself, there was no one here that she probably trusted. Sure, Richard liked Froggy and Daisy Duke but he wouldn't say he completely trusted them. Mostly, but not completely.

Richard had left his chair by the inside door of the Courthouse and hobbled his way outside to find Miss Sally. He stumbled down the stairs some and saw Miss Sally not far out handing food out to people. He flagged her down and gave her a charming smile, accepting some food and water for Astrid, he already had food in his pack that Zoie had left for him earlier. He thanked her and asked for some help getting back inside as the door to the Courthouse was so damn heavy but they were both stopped in their tracks as the yelling that erupted from Ashton rooted them to the spot.

The following spectacle made Richard thankful that he had Daisy on his side. He wasn't sure what to make of this man, who so freely threatened death upon those that did not follow his orders, but the guy had been through a shit tonne today clearly. Richard's mind wandered to the woman who's body he had carried inside for Daisy earlier, about the female doctor that Froggy had failed to save, Lorna who had seemed friendly with the Captain and then Maria who had known him too. Then, there was the woman that had nearly shot him in the head who had then become breakfast for Deadbrains so that he could survive. Was she someone special to the Captain? Even if she hadn't been, that was five deaths out of people he knew, worked with and lived with for however long that the man had suffered through today. They were no doubt not the only deaths but they were the only ones that Richard was aware of.

Not wanting to fall into the firing line just yet Richard urged Miss Sally, who looked utterly shocked and saddened, to help him inside with a whisper. She let him inside, helped him into his chair and then went about her duty straight away. Richard gulped and wheeled himself into the back room where Astrid was, the door had been left ajar and stopped beside her. He handed her the food that Miss Sally had given him and gave a simple, crooked smile. "Welp, the new boss seems to have flipped his shit. Ye hear much back 'ere?"
Dr. Victor Bonheur

Location: Newnan Infirmary

Working in the infirmary with those that were free and willing to help, the mess of the various amputations and surgeries was cleaned up well and truly and all deceased bodies had been adequately wrapped and removed per the apparent procedure that was in place here. Victor sighed heavily as he realised what all had happened today. He'd lost two patients today, both people of this place that he now found himself in a moderate place of import with his position without even being asked nor even wanting if he was being honest. He had long since lost the drive to truly help people he did not know but, for some reason, he had ran into the fray as ready as he had used to do all those years ago when he did this for a living.

Moving over to the sink, Victor washed his hands, arms, face and neck. Watered down blood whirled around the sink bath, mixed with dirt and other mess that had accumulated on his face between being on the road and arriving here. He scrubbed his skin until it was practically raw but, right now, he needed to feel something and if this was what he had to do to make it happen, then he'd do it. He glanced around the room and saw his latest patient appeared to be stable and he then walked over to the man that had been tasked with guarding their Edenite prisoner.

Victor's face was cold and blank, staring at the man as he walked slowly towards him. Victor thanked the guard and asked him to stand a little ways away, still close enough to be doing his job but far enough that he would not hear anything that Victor could or would say to the prisoner. Not that he planned to say much, he just wanted the man to feel the adequate amount of fear towards the Doctor so that he could make threats without seeming like a heartless son of a bitch to everyone around him in the infirmary.

Before Victor could do or say anything, Ashton's raised voice carried into the Courthouse and, as he was no longer in the OR, he could hear it pretty clearly via the window that was wedged open to air the metallic scent of blood and bleach from the room. The words carried in and Victor knew he should have felt heavy and worried but he didn't. He knew his value and he knew what the poor man had been through. Whoever had pissed the Newnan Leader off had clearly deserved it and Victor would feel no remorse for them. When the yelling was done Victor crouched down in front of the prisoner who, if it were not for the lack of moisture in the man's mouth, would have spit right in Victor's face but instead Victor was graced with a horrible, putrid shit smell that emanated from the man's face hole instead.

Placing his hand on the prisoner's injured thigh, Victor placed pressure on and around it, causing him to yelp in pain as Victor silently glared at him for a while longer. Releasing the pressure, Victor nodded towards the window and gave a cold, little smile. "That man's fury that you 'eard just now? It is nothing compared to what I 'ave bottled up deep within me. I am the only one who can save you from whatever should befall you 'ere." Victor stood back up and maintained the stony facade that he had adopted. "If you should not co-operate I will make sure you live to feel all the pain possible. I will not allow you to die, not because you deserve to live, but because you deserve to suffer. Understanré?"

Agnes Brynja Johannsson

It had taken some time to get back from the diversion but it had worked. Bryn felt accomplished and was beginning to take a liking to the two people in the diversion team that had come out of Newnan. They didn't make her feel unwelcome, which was nice and strange all at once, but she wasn't sure what their angle was. She sat in the back of the truck in silence (no surprises there) and watched the scenery peeling away as they made their way back to Newnan. On their return, Bryn jumped out of the side of the truck and bounced on the spot as she landed. She gave a hard set attempt at a smile towards Zoie, not because she didn't like her or appreciate the help and kind words, but more because she hadn't smiled properly in a long time. At least not in a genuine nature.

Shifting her bike out from the truck was done in short order and Bryn swung her leg over the machine as she set it in idle and began to wheel it away from the area until the yelling started. She cut the engine off and let the man known as Ashton let his rage and frustration out on some poor sap. She rose an eyebrow and listened to the raving anger, letting it finish before moving once again. She heard Bridgette and then noticed Zoie was moving towards the source of the commotion and she figured it was safe enough to idle out. She didn't know where to go so, having seen Bridgette still upon her wagon, Bryn just made her way there and parked the bike up behind it.

Ms. Sally then wandered over to her from the Courthouse and handed her a small amount of food and a bottle of water. "Thanks." She opened the bottle and drank some of the room temperature liquid before closing it over and placing it in her pack. She looked up to Bridgette the wagon and gave her a simple nod of greeting before starting to chow into the dried meat she'd been given. It was nice, salty, filling. Exactly what she needed right then. She wondered what this place was going to be like when it wasn't strained and uncomfortable. Maybe she'd stick around and find out, maybe she wouldn't. She'd play it by ear for now.

Zoie Crawford

Location: At the Scene Of The Bitch Fest --> Inside The OR

Zoie kept her mouth shut as Ash turned his attention towards the girl, raising her brows lightly and looking away as the man ripped into her. Seemed she had been the one to start the commotion. As Ash finished she nodded slightly. Alright boss, Isa be inside checking on thangs," she said before looking at Kris and sighing a bit. "Chin up gal, everyone's bound to pop off. Just do as he says and let thangs calm down," she said before shouldering her bag and heading over into the court house.

She checked in with Miss Sally, finding out that Dick was okay and in the back room with one of the viking girls looking over another. Nodding she did some checking on other things, making sure that once Sally was done giving out food that people were assigned living quarters for the evening as boss wanted and that the girls from another era had a patch of grass for their horses. Zoie settled into the whole second in command thing rather easily; people were taking to her without issue. Her smile and funny way of speaking seemed to help put people at ease.

Pushing the door open to the OR, she stepped in; wanting to check on Froggy now that things were calming down and people could start turning in for the night. She stopped in her tracks as she heard the doctor threatened the man from Eden. It was a little shocking to her, she hadn't ever really known Froggy to speak or act that way.

"Well butter my biscuit, seems like everyone be in a right bad mood right now. Who pissed off ya Froggy? This guy?" she asked as she set her things down on the counter along the edge of the wall. Moving over to Victors side she rested her hand on his shoulder and smiled over to him.

"How's about I get this fellow moved over to a cell of some sort so you ain't gotta be standing over him and then wesa can get ya settled in for the night," she said in a soft voice before snapping her fingers. "Oh, you be gettin' a kick out of this, I be second in charge here now. Bossman done be asking and I said yes. Ain't that a trip? Me, in charge?" she laughed slightly, shaking her head at the idea. She had never really ran anything, well except for her household.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: 515 Longview Street, Carrollton, Ga

"Oh a cop..." Tatiana said quietly, it was obvious that she had just gotten a lot more nervous. For her, cops were not good guys that held up the law. She had been used to the Militsiya of Russia, they were corrupt people that were under the thumb of anyone with a big enough bank account. They were not kind, they were not friendly, they did not help. They caused more problems than good and in the end it was better to deal with the filth of the streets than to deal with them. Swallowing slightly she pushed her chair back a little bit, not sure if she should make a break for it or not.

Granted this wasn't Russia or the former U.S.S.R., this was still America and while there were a lot of problems from what she heard with American cops, they were not all bad and Jack seemed okay so far. She just hoped that she wasn't putting her trust in the wrong person right then. Taking a breath she forced a thin lipped smile as she sat there. Hopefully he was one of the good guys, one of those types that were like the cops she would see on TV that were actually there to help people instead of screw them over, she didn't think she could take getting duped right then. She had been through enough for the day with being unable to find her friend Davi.

Shaking her head as he mentioned writing and such she fiddled with the bottle of water in her hands and let out a nervous breath. She was like a bird that was caged right then, not being able to hold still but acting like she was being forced to be. Setting the bottle down on the table she reached down to her bag and opened it slowly. Sticking her hand inside of it she slowly pulled out a pair of worn pale pink toe shoes that had satin straps wrapped around them. Setting them on the table she smiled as her fingers ran over the fabric, remembering how life had been. "No, I ballerina, or vas," she said timidly.
