She stood off to the side of the crowd that filled the streets, debating on what she should do or try next. It wasn’t like she had anyone to join her today as they were either running booths, tending to shops, out with loved ones or plain said she was crazy for going in the first place. It meant she was free to do as she pleased and it wasn’t as though she minded some time to herself but it still would have been more fun with someone else to join her. Juniper sighed, about to step into the flow of people to let her feet or the crowd take her where it may when she caught a flash of movement caught her attention which caused her eyes to widen in shock, the hair on the back of her neck stand on in and she found herself tempted to move in a defensive position but forcibly kept still to see what the stranger would do. A woman stood before her, her body language holding no hostile intent but her aura caused a shiver to crawl down her spin as if a bucket of ice water had doused her. It wasn’t the same one that had settled in on this town but it still held an eerie darkness that had nothing to do with the brown haired woman’s supernatural race. A soft touch of her hand was all she felt, her fingers instinctively curling around the object placed there and then the woman was gone, a fluttering sound from the black dress she wore being the only signal of departure.

The sounds of the crowd filtered back into her ears, unknowingly having been blocked out to focus in on the strange vampiric woman the had approached her. Juniper slowly brought her hand out in front of her, mismatched eyes gazing at the paper still held lightly in her grip before glancing around and shoving the small item in the pocket of her jeans. It wasn’t like she could unfold the note without making a mess everywhere so it would have to wait till at least the ice cream was gone. She silently cursed herself for getting a cone now since a cup would have been easy to set down. If there was one thing she could resist, it was a good mystery and this kind of felt like she had been handed one on a silver platter if you didn’t count the clusterfuck of a case she had gotten that same morning. This was shaping up to be an odd day.

Juniper claimed a spot away from the mass of people, laying back in the damp grass and gazing at the note once more. ’Mrs. Sanguis, huh?’, she thought and debated on what she should do. It would be wise to go to her leader, see what he had to say about it but at the same time....she wanted to go to the meeting. This note hinted that this vampire felt what she had. That she wasn’t crazy in the feelings of darkness that clung to the air. What if he said no? She frowned, covering her eyes for a moment with a soft growl of frustration before the loud bang of the first firework along with the first round of clapping and cheers. Her arm flopped back down, moving to cover her ears a bit to defend from the noise but it was worth it for the dazzling display of colors which gave her a soft smile.

’I’ve made up my mind. I’m going.’, she thought to herself, pushing up to a seated position and suddenly freezing. He was searching for her. Shit, how did he even know!? Did he just sense when one of them wanted to go rouge or something? Juniper shook her head, standing up and moving to the dense tree line, needing to be hidden from sight. ’Sorry Azariah...I can’t chance that you will deny my wishes.’ She waited until she was a good distance from the festivities before bending down to take off her shoes. They would have to be left behind, too bulky to carry in her mouth while everything else would be fine. It would be a pain to find them again but it was a small price to pay in her opinion. Juniper pulled the hair tie from her pocket, rolling it onto her wrist before yanking of her shirt and making quick work of the other garments. She carefully wrapped up her undergarments in the respective shirt and pants before folding the items into what looked like a sushi roll, using her hair tie to keep its shape. It wasn’t the best solution but desperate times call for desperate measures and since she was being searched for, she needed to move faster.

Juniper took a deep breath, letting her bones shift and crack as they moved to their new locations which eventually caused her to crouch. The cold of the air didn’t affect her skin anymore as it was replaced with a coat of pure white. Body parts receded and some grew out until all that was left was a wolf, who did a quick shake of her new form before picking up the bundle she made. The taste of jean in her mouth was not pleasant by any means so she sprinted, planning to make it to the destination as quickly as possible. It was quite the exhilarating run, one that took a little more time than she had hoped for but it wasn’t surprising that it would be out of the way from the normal bustle of the town. She found herself at the doorstep, jumping up on her hinge legs to press the doorbell with her paw before sitting politely and waiting. Everything about this place had her on edge, not just because she could be willingly walking into the lions den but because this kind of place was not her scene. Juniper wouldn’t know what to do in a place like this. She was more on the simplistic side than that of elegance. It make her feel awkward just being on the porch.

She was sure they were expecting her human self but this seemed like the best way to be. She wasn’t sure if this Mrs. Sanguis had invited just her or not and she wasn’t willing to give up her peaceful life for strangers. Sure, some might know she was a werewolf in this form but if they didn’t then people tended to say more than they should when they thought no one could listen or they were more relaxed with having what they thought was a trained animal nearby. It could be helpful either way, she didn’t mind comforting others but information was always nicer. It wasn’t like she didn’t bring her clothes with her so if she needed to be human then she could be and wouldn’t be too much of a problem to use at least the bathroom for that process. It would be a sad day when a mansion had every room occupied, well, maybe a nightmare depending on if this was a trap. ’Guess I’m about to find out either way.’

Can you hear me? And how clearly? Not that I think static is a thing.

Those words echoed in her mind as clear as if the other woman had spoken using her vocal cords but what Rae hadn’t been prepare for was the rush of emotions that joined in with the words. The first time Rendyl used this power, it had been like a screeching in her ears and a pain she could not defend from as they had stood in the cargo bay. The second time, it had been seamless, a perfect execution of the power she had just learned was in her possession from the startled way she was reacting. She must have thought Rae could read minds from the interaction in the cargo bay and now at the table but once a fellow human confirmed what she was doing it was a different story. Now that Rendyl was aware, actually trying to use it instead of it being a natural flow....emotions she felt were attached to her words. Rae could feel it all as if she was experiencing them herself, that worry tangled in with an excited hopefulness and it was making knots in her gut. She had hard times with her own emotions without adding someone else’s to the mix. Happiness, Confidence, Annoyance, Flirty, Worried, Excited, Hopeful. That was way too many things to feel. How did others handle it? Normally, she would shove her emotions aside but they were hard to ignore in this state. Sure, some were her own but between Josk and Rendyl...they were adding in mixes that were not appreciated and truly overwhelming.

She didn’t want to discourage Rendyl from speaking though. It would make Tony’s life easier if she could communicate on her own and build relationships without the man’s presence always needed or waiting until the crew learned sign language. ”We can hear you, clear is day. she answered softly with a light smile before standing up shakily from her chair. ”Dis has been fun but Imma go to bed. Not feelin right. Night.” Luirae waved, slowly making her way out of the kitchen/dining area. The world was spinning a bit and her balance was far from graceful as she stumbled from the room but she managed. She had been smart enough to lean against the wall as she moved down the hall, not trusting herself to not fall if she continued to her room. She found herself giggling at the absurdity of this evening and couldn’t bring herself to care what tomorrow held. It had been fun, she hadn’t lied about that. It might be nice to do again some time.
@Scarlet Loup

Sounds good! :)
Lol that is also an easy way to handle it XD
@Scarlet Loup

Hey! Good to see you back! We actually had a somewhat long break soooo you should be able to hop back in pretty easily :)
@webboysurf

I am so sorry! I did not know that you were PMd and obviously whatever was said is not alright if you feel as though they were being passive aggressive. It is so good to hear from you and I wish we were doing so under better circumstances. Things got quiet and I completely understand you getting silent or unsubscribing as others have done. I love your character and it is sad to see you go but thank you for staying subscribed even to read. You are always welcome, just know that. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
@Nate1008

Please give me time to look over everything and talk it over with the GM if possible.
@Nate1008

I don’t see anything attached or a link? Can you resend or repost? Sorry if I am missing it, I am on mobile.
@Nate1008

I would love to hear your ideas! We have had a few races created and it is exciting to have more to work with. We are completely open and try hard to work in ideas of everyone or make suggestions on what we need changed but mostly we try to stick close to your vision.
@Nate1008

Hmmm, well then I am not sure that would work. They all live and work on the ship together. We make up villains and challenges along the way and encourage others to make plots/characters that cause problems to create an adventure. It seems like that would be a more helpful as an opposing force for the Marauders to go against then a character on the ship.
