Personality: Torvi can be quite the extroverted person, enjoying making conversation and just meeting new people. Though when she does first meet someone she tends to always be on her guard, never sure who to trust and who not to trust. She’ll treat you with kindness unless she views you as a potential threat, then she can be quite hostile. She is typically a rather selfless person, always helping out those who she sees in need. She would quickly give up her own food for someone else she sees starving. She will do what she can to protect herself and others who she either cares for or deems unable to protect themselves.
She has quite a temper and tends to act impulsively, never considering what the consequences of her actions may be. She can be quite quick to attack someone if she deems it necessary. Because of this people would consider her a rather impatient person. She has immense bravery, perhaps to the point of stupidity at times. She will leap into a fight without a second thought for her own safety. Afterall, if she dies in battle then she gets to dine with the gods.
Torvi has the intelligence to come up with a plan for things if time allows it, but she wouldn’t consider herself a cunning mastermind by any means. She’s more likely to follow someone else's lead as she figures if their acting first then they probably have a plan. When it comes to being charismatic she can make friends quite easily, but she will avoid manipulating people. That’s just a cowards way to gain control of a situation in her opinion. She has a great sense of humor and likes to often crack jokes or even laugh at a joke that is made. She’ll even laugh at a joke she doesn’t understand just to make the jokester feel good. She is quite sane in normal situations, however when it comes to battle others may view her as slightly insane due to her brutality. She doesn’t hold back when she’s fighting and will use any means necessary to win the fight as she believes there’s no such thing as fighting fair or honorably.

History:Torvi was born the second child of Kætil and Sievi in the small village of Hvallatr. Her father was the village blacksmith and with that came him teaching all of his children how to fight, having no qualms with his daughters knowing how to protect themselves. She had a happy childhood with very loving parents who loved to tell her stories of the gods and heroes. Her personal favorite, however, is when her father would tell her of the Valkyrie. She would always pretend she was one of the Valkyrie when she’d play with her older brother and younger sister.
Growing up she was close to both her siblings, however she was closest to her younger sister Siiri. The two always seemed to be inseparable, running around the village giggling about this and that while pulling pranks on some of the boys near their age. They would constantly talk with each other on when they would get married and would point out who they thought the other should marry. It was all just fun and games to them.
At fourteen years old she was married to the second son of Jarl Erik. Björn was four years older than her, however the marriage was based on love. She loved Björn deeply and he loved her. She was thrilled to have her own household to look over and follow in her mother’s footsteps. Her sister was married a few years later and both girls were thrilled that their childhood dreams had come true. Marriage wasn’t as easy as they thought, however, as Torvi soon found herself pregnant. At the time her and her husband were so excited, but that excitement didn’t last as she soon lost the child. This broke both of their hearts, but it especially took a toll on Torvi. She was scared for a long time to become pregnant again.
Eventually she got past the fear enough that she became pregnant once more. Everything seemed to be going well and she was nearing the end of her pregnancy. She went into labor, however, she gave birth to a dead child. Björn tried to console her, telling her these things happened and no matter what he’d always love her. She wasn’t having any of it and she became very withdrawn for a long time.
There came one year where food was a shortage and the men decided it was time to go on a raid. Björn decided to join them and kissed his still grieving wife goodbye. He came back as a corpse and this broke something else in Torvi. She hated herself for not showing the love she had for her husband after the death of their last baby. She was full of many regrets and at one point attempted to take her life. Her sister was the one who stopped her and helped pull her back out of her grief. She helped her realize that Björn would want her to live, to care for their land, and to help their village in any way she could.
Fast forward to now, the men had left once more on a raid thus leaving the women in charge of the village. This time, however, they had a raiding party of their own come to their village. Torvi wasn’t about to stand by and let them take what they pleased. So she took up arms with her sister and many of the other women of the village. They would fight for their home and didn’t fear death as that meant they would join their loved ones in Valhalla.
