Do you think the reason Jesus Christ doesn't rise again is because we keep putting up crosses and he gets flashbacks on how that went last time?

Minamoru and Reikan Diplomatic Relations Meeting
Rin
;Yamato

Takes place during the two-day timeskip.

Reijo walked along the sidewalk of the Smalltown district, fashioned in a Hyuga-styled kimono that was fit for diplomatic missions like these. Traditionalism was always an important aspect to the Minamoru clan, so it wouldn't make sense for him not to be wearing it. The direction they were headed in was the Reikan house. They'd be conducting some diplomatical talks today, and as much as Reijo hated the Reikan's for their ice release kekkei genkai, it was something that had to be done.

Tailing behind him was Yamato dressed in his regular attire, which consisted of a loose fitting deep gray tanktop, a denim jacket over that with long sleeves, as well as a set of black jeans underneath. Ofcourse he was wearing his black slip-ins, for ease. He looked rather bored as he had both his hands in his pockets, only going to this meeting because his father had asked him to - he'd gone on similar meetings with the Hyuga, who seemed okay to Yamato despite their kekkei genkai. They were traditional too, something Yamato could appreciate. The Reikan's were not that known to Yamato, so it remained to be seen what they were. They probably touted their ice release as a god's gift, rather than god's curse on them, however.

The Reikan manor sat on Lake Yomadaru. It was odd for a clan's main house to place resident on a lake, but given that the Reikan Clan isn't one of the highly-regarded ones in Konoha, it stood to reason that they wouldn't get a bigger spot like, say, the Uchiha Clan or even the Hyuga Clan. Sometimes the Reikan Clan had to sit down with the even lesser clans of the village to build relations and expand their territory, which was exactly what they were doing today. Luscious Reikan, the current head of the Reikan Clan, accepted a sit-down with Reijo Minamoru. The latter would be bringing his son, Yamato and Luscious would have his youngest, Rin with him.

"Master Luscious, the Minamoru's are here." A maid said, entering Luscious' study.
"Thank you. Please sit them in the living room." He said. The maid bowed.

Luscious was a man of a tall frame. He stood nearly seventy-seven inches and boasted a two-hundred weight. Combined with his near-butt length silver hair and cold, icy-blue eyes, he had quite the intimidating presence, something that he embraces to the fullest. For this diplomatic meeting, Luscious wore a simple navy-blue, male kimoto. It had edges of silver to match his hair. Speaking of which, his hair is tied in a series of ponytails overlapping each other.

As Luscious walked out of his study, Rin wasn't far behind him as she had been waiting for him outside the study. She herself had a light blue kimoto of her own, but this one had elegant designs of white snowflakes throughout. Edges of silver like her fathers. Rin had her hair down without any hairties or anything. It was in its natural form.

"I present the Lord Luscious and his daughter, Lady Rin." The servant said.

Reijo and Yamato walked inside the room in which they'd be meeting, which happened to be the living room. Reijo didn't look too surprised, as the Reikan's weren't noticeably big and strong unlike other clans, which had a considerable powerbase already “Luscious, Rin-chan.. good to see you once again. It's been some time since we last met. How is Rex?” he asked with a slight smile on his face, noticeably forced but well intended none the less. Reijo couldn't care less for Rex, whom he saw more as a threat than a nice addition to the village.

"Rex is fine. He is becoming the shining beacon of our family."Luscious said with pride. His eyes trailed to Rin as if stabbing her with disgust.

Yamato walked in slowly, hands still in pocket. He looked around carefully, surveying the living room and taking a look at the room, at the ornaments and valuables that he could see, in order to measure the Reikan family. Reijo would sit down at the table, sitting on his knees, and so Yamato would follow suit. They might be here for a while, his father had warned, so Yamato was prepared to make himself comfortable. Yamato kept his mouth shut the entire time so far as he sat down in similar fashion, looking at Lucious first, in an attempt to analyse who he was, before he'd look at Rin with a serious and mean face. Why did he have to be here.. Yamato wondered to himself as he stared at the girl.

"That was quite the ordeal your children went through at the warehouse, wasn't it? To think that Jashinists were framing your family. Truly disgustful." Luscious said pretending to actually give a damn about what happened, "you must have been scared, Yamato." Luscious said, turning his attention to Yamato.

Yamato was surprised but not unready to deal with Lucious. The man was being a pain already and they hadn't been here for five minutes. He let out a small sigh before he answered the man, closing his eyes for a minute as he looked down. He switched positions, too, removing his legs from under his butt and extending one under the table while pulling one of them up and placing his arm on his knee. As he opened up his eyes again he'd stare Lucious in the eye with the typical aggressive and rude Yamato look, furrowed eyebrows and curled down lips completing it. “Ah, I wasn't. I'm not a Naito, Luscious.” It was quite strange how Yamato talked to the man, using his first name without as much as a honorific.

Luscious smirked. "Right you are, Yamato." He said.

Reijo, Yamato's father, didn't give it a second thought, as he himself didn't particularly like Luscious either. It was more that he was forced to deal with them as the Uchiha's and Hyuga's weren't particularly trustworthy allies. Not that Luscious was, either. He simply stared Luscious down like Yamato did, except Reijo remained a calm and cool, serious composure.“What worried me more was the fact that Rei was captured. Rei is a classmate of Rin, I think. They could just as well have been after Rex and Rin. I'm not sure if I would've interfered like I did this time, if that were the case.”

"Rex is a capable shinobi. He wouldn't have had no trouble with simple Jashinists.I can't say the same for your daughter--" Yamato spoke up quickly, interrupting Lucious mid sentence without shame. If Lucious thought that Yamato was going to sit here while he insulted Rei, he should think again. “I didn't have any trouble with the Jashinists, Lucious. I also wasn't saying Rex would get captured. I was talking about what if Rin gets caught. My only issue would be if you'd spare the manpower to go rescue your daughter.” Yamato had caught on to the stabbing stare he had sent to Rin earlier, but had shut his mouth. It wasn't his place to decide on what Rin was doing right and wrong, but neither was it Lucious place to decide what Rei was and wasn't capable of.

Reijo sat in silence as the two bickered, not paying them much mind and simply waiting for Lucious to finish the ordeal. He knew just as well as Lucious that this deal had to go through regardless of what they thought - it would ensure the lives of their clans.

Rin's eyes went back and forth between her father and Yamato, but by the time Yamato had finished, her eyes were on her father. She already knew how he felt about her and how she was a disappointment to him and he reminded her of that constantly.Luscious closed his eyes, a smile laid upon his face. "Yes, well my youngest wasn't the one who got kidnapped, now was she?" Luscious' eyes then went to his daughter, "though, if she did, that would be very unfortunate for the Reikan name, now wouldn't it?" Luscious said, eyes now at Reijo.

If Lucious thought Reijo was going to reply, then he was probably wrong. Yamato spoke up again despite Lucious not looking at him. It was clear the boy couldn't care less if Lucious was technically an elder and superior. “Ah, no she wasn't. If you remember your history lessons, Lucious, you'd know that lady Hinata Hyuga got captured by hostile nin at one point. They were after her power, and in this case it was a similar situation. They didn't pick us because we were weak. Would you say Naruto Uzumaki's wife was weak, Lucious? I doubt it. Rei has potential. What of Rin?” he asked, with his face now resembling more boredom than anger at the man. It had become clear to Yamato that while the man was powerful and influential in some areas, there was little intelligence or tact to him. He moved his hand with an gentle movement to aim it at Rin, and then he looked at her as well. She had been quiet the entire time, and seemed to be just as uninterested in this meeting as he was. “Nanda, baka. Why are you only looking and not speaking. You know Rei, she is your classmate and a comrade, yet you don't speak up.”

"You might want to watch it, Yamato. There are some people out there who don't take kindly to informalities." Luscious simply said, ending whatever direction that particular discussion was heading. He, instead, turned his head to Rin. She had indeed been silent, but that was only cause she feared what her father would do to her if she said the wrong thing. "Go on dear, answer his question."

Rin looked at her father with a rather surprised look. Still, she would speak now, "I don't know her that well. She and I belong to different social circles." Rin said in a semi-low tone. “Yes, and so do I and the Naito clan. I hate their guts. Speak up.”

Without event thinking, Rin spoke, "If you forgive me for saying this, but your sister is too much of a goody-goody. She's a priss. Always listening to the teachers, always listening to what they say. It's like she has no backbone at all." Rin spoke her mind. How's that for speaking up?

Yamato would greet her answer with a slight smile, but his eyebrows remained furrowed and his eyes were angry as always “Ah, I suppose you're right. But those who don't listen to orders, even how stupid that order is, they die. You know this, right, Rin? Surely they taught you in school..”

"HAH!" Her voice elevated to a mild yell. "As if I care. I'm hardly even there for it to even matter." Rin kind of laughed that off, "besides, you're one to talk." Rin said, "My brothers tell me shit. They told me about how you almost got your ass beat by some thugs. So, don't talk like you're any better than me, cause you--"

"Rin, that's enough." Luscious said with an authoritative tone, ceasing what she was going to say. Rin suddenly went silent, her head slightly pointed down as she looked at the table. "I apologize for my daughter. She tends to let her mouth run off." Luscious said, "Reijo, I believe we should continue this without the children." Lusicous suggested.

Reijo bowed his head slightly and stood up, before following after Luscious to settle down somewhere else. Likely the real negotiations would start now, and they left Yamato and Rin behind on their own. An awkward silence ensued as Yamato stared Rin down, his eyes filling up with even more anger as his slight smile dissapeared. The hand that was resting on his knee clenched up into a fist as he looked into her eyes and spoke calmly.

“Your brothers have a big mouth then, for someone with a kekkei genkai. A curse of god. And a kekkei genkai that is weak to fire no less..” His words were ominous, and he added power to his words by clenching his fists even tighter, and using some chakra. A small burst of fire spew out from his clenched fist, as well as some smoke, indicating that he was a proficient fire user. An indirect threat, if you willed.

“Besides, Rin-chan, while you and your brothers were sitting around doing fuck-all, I was out risking my life fighting a trio of shinobi, whilst my 'team' consisted of idiots who I had to protect at all times, as well. Would your brother Rex, or your father Luscious, do the same for you?”

His words hit harder than shards of ice coated with chakra. Not about her brothers — she couldn't give two shits what he thinks about her brothers. No, it was that last bit about if Rex or her father would help her if she was kidnapped like Rei was. Rin wasn't at all sure if they would or not. She knew how they felt about her being the supposed disappointment to the Reikan name and even more so how her usage of Hyoton was the weakest of all the Reikan children.

"Just shut up." Her voice, while normal, was filled with anger, "You don't know shit." Rin stood up, her hands banged on the table making any of the cups that were on it fall over, liquid flowing out of them. "You're a self-entitled asshole who can't comprehend what it's like being the disappointment of the family. You can't possibly understand what it's like being the source of the family's disappointing looks." This time, Rin's voice oozed with emotion as she spoke her words to Yamato, not breaking eye contact for one second.

Yamato's gaze remained unchanged as she burst out in anger, still looking at her with an angry look. Never the less he was surprised the quiet girl from earlier had changed into something more intimidating. Not intimidating enough.. but it was more than he expected. Rin seemed remarkably angry but her voice didn't uncover as much, atleast not until she spoke her final sentence where Yamato noticed she was actually very much emotionally involved.

Nanda..? Don't tell me to shut up, shut the hell up yourself, baka.” he said with his hand still laying comfortably across the knee that he had pulled up. He wasn't impressed with her in the slightest. “I'm as familiar with a hard hand as the next person. My father is not a kind man. Neither am I. I know what a slap in the face feels like. Be happy you receive only dissapointing looks, rather than a slap in the face from the man that raised you.” he said calmly, as if he hardly cared, waving her comments away. He seemed more calm than usual, but there was still a burning fire in his eyes. Perhaps the Minamoru's had new allies in the Reikan's, Yamato certainly had a newfound enemy in this man named Rex, and the other Reikan brothers, who went around his back to speak ill of him. Where were they when his sister got kidnapped.. probably doing nothing, feigning to investigate the Jashinists. He'd get them one day.

“Besides, I will fight your brother one day. Mark my words, Rin. I'll beat him to a pulp so hard, your father will disown him, disinherit him and make him an outcast. His bloodline limit won't always save him... Perhaps you'll take the spotlight then.. it's up to you to see how you respond to that. Never the less.. Rei will be the same. If you insult her like you did before.. it won't be me that harms you, it will be Rei. She's a gentle soul, but those can crack, too.”

Slowly his hand dangled up and down while the angered Rin was still standing there, making this entire situation all the more frustrating for her most likely as she barely got a reaction out of Yamato. It'd take more than some yelling and smacking on tables to make him angry. “Ah. Before I forget.. your father is an asshole. I wonder why he didn't take Rex, if Rex was so esteemed as your father made it out to be.. to be honest, my father would probably find that a bit insulting..”

A slight grin toiled on his mouth, as he moved his pulled up leg slightly closer to the table and allowing his arm to reach forwards, grabbing a hold of the cup that Rin had spilled and putting it back straight up again. “I don't. Failures like you.. they have a tendency to be interesting. Don't forget that everyone hated Naruto Uzumaki, until he saved their asses. But don't attempt to insult or intimidate me again, Rin. That's not necessary, because you're not scary to me. And don't try it with Rei either. Just a warning.”

She just stood there still, hearing everything he had to say. It was an earful, but it was also the truth that Rin needed to hear. Not only that, but the vindication that he had in his voice when he spoke about fighting Rex, well Rin could feel it right down to her core. She knew that he meant it when he said that would beat Rex to a pulp. She knew that he meant it that he would beat Rex and would make Luscious disown him. Rin didn't have to respond verbally to that to know it was the absolute and utter truth.

When Yamato spoke about her father, she cracked up into laughter. It might have been weird considering the timing, but she just couldn't help it. It was so much that Rin nearly fell over to the floor. "Oh man, that's rich. You're a riot, Minamoru." Rin said, trying to break her words through her laughing. "We can both agree on that, for sure. My old man is a fucking dick." She said, her laughter fading slightly.

"And about your sister, maybe she should be less of a priss and actually have some personality." Well here she was. The real Rin has surfaced. "Maybe if she didn't be miss goody-goody all the damn time, then perhaps she wouldn't get a bad rap at being the Teacher's Pet." Rin said in a slightly elevated voice.

“Ah.. here you go.. I just warned you.. don't insult my family, baka. Rei might be a priss, but she's also dilligent and trains hard, despite not being as gifted as me. She wants to surpass me knowing it will never happen. That is the reason she is always in school, and that is the reason she listens to the teacher. Idiot.. when is the last time you did anything for school.. if you keep going like this I'll make sure I don't stop when I beat Rex..” he said while he looked her in the eye. He was losing his patience with this girl the more she insulted him and his family.

”If she trains so hard and pays such close attention to everything the instructors tell her, then how did she get kidnapped so easily?” Rin leaned in even further, almost right up to Yamato's face at this point. Yamato had now reached a breaking point and slammed his fist into the table. His eyes had picked up the fire again and his teeth were clenched together, and he'd push himself closer with his free hand still, his face barely a centimeter from Rin's face. Baka.. say that again and I will kill you. Were you there? Were your brothers? You know nothing of what happened there. I like to wonder what would've happened to YOU if you had been captured. Would you fight back against a dozen jonin leveled enemies? Some crazy Jashinist who wants you for your blood? EH?! Answer me, you piece of garbage. Your father would leave you to rot, and your brother wouldn't bat an eye! I saved Rei, and that's more than anyone else can say who wasn't there, so shut the hell up you idiot!

Rin laughed slightly as she stepped a few inches away from him as to try to distance herself from the obvious closeness that there was between her and Yamato. ”Fine, I get it. Line crossed or whatever.” Rin said taking a seat on one of the floor pillows. She began to at least set the rest of the cups in their upright positions. ”I'm going to my room. I've had enough of your company, anyway.” Rin said getting up, about to head to her room.

Yamato had now reached a breaking point and slammed his fist into the table. His eyes had picked up the fire again and his teeth were clenched together, and he'd push himself closer with his free hand still, his face barely a centimeter from Rin's face. “Ah, go do as you please. You're boring me, anyway.. if you see Rex or any other brother of yours, tell them I can't wait to melt his ice.”

How fast did the grab take place? Never mind. Had he used his hands, to grab Alexis it would seem plausible to have done it quickly.

the spinning is described as lasting a minute in length, so he could have done it during that time, assuming he was able to get his bearings.

The issue here, I believe, is that both fighters are off the ground. I have yet to read the sheets, but without some type of ability/good lower or upper body strength, it would take a good bit of effort, and time, to pull closer using essentially just a knee/lower body.

Whathad happened was when Vos went in for a mid-air kick to Alexis' gut/mid-section, she took the hit, but she also used the chance to hook that leg(mainly shin and knee area), and proceeded to spin around while holding said leg. Obviously from this, Vos would be spinning with her, getting dizzy in the process.

What I had happen in my attack portion of my post was have Alexis aim Vos towards the ground while not losing any of the speed or momentum she had gathered from spinning around. Added to that, she used her powers over fire(see Fighter Spirit for more info) and shot several fireballs down at him while he was still in the process of heading towards the ground. However, Vordak very sneakily made it so the attack I had made didn't happen.

So, I guess really what we want to be called is if Vos can do that based on what's in his sheet or not.

Rin Reikan, Little Ice Minx

Rin remembered that morning. She remembered how awful she felt when her father said such things. Even as Ayame was explaining the mission, Rin was still thinking about all of that. She still heard what the mission details were, but Rin also was thinking back to what had happened and how upset she remembered feeling.

Rin got home a bit late -- later than any member of her surprisingly large family would have been up at -- so, Rin entered her room without notifying anyone. She didn’t want to deal with any of them after such a long and tedious mission. Plus, she was so exhausted that facing her family that late into the night, Rin would just ware herself out even more than she would have prefer to do so. Besides, Rin would just endure it in the morning. She had no doubts that the reports from the mission would reach her father by the time Rin woke up, so that surely was something to look forward to.

As the first rays of the morning sun reached her room, beaming through the dark blue curtains of her room, the sunlight glared on her face. The exposure to this light made her slowly open her eyelids. The first thing she saw was indeed the light. It was so bright that Rin put her hands on her eyes as to shield them from the sun. She turned over to her side where the light wasn’t in her face and a gaze of the other side of her room came to her, specifically the gaze of her nightstand and the alarm clock of hers that rested on it. Eyes half-open, Rin saw the time and it was about half-past seven in the morning. From what she remembered, she slept for almost twelve hours. Not as much as she had usually gotten in the past.

Rin kept on looking at her clock for several more minutes. The debating thoughts of getting more sleep or getting up went back and forth in her mind. There was a lot of moaning and groaning. It wasn’t until she heard her name being called that made her decision for her.

“RIN! TIME FOR BREAKFAST!” The voice of her sister Yukina called out from downstairs. Yukina had always been the loud one of her four siblings. Rin hated that she was so energetic, especially in the morning.

Rin groaned. She didn’t want to get up now that her decision was made for her. She just wanted to stay in bed, ignore everyone and let the day fade away. However, it seemed fate had other plans.

Suddenly, a large crash of her door opening was heard, prompting Rin to prop upright quickly, “FOR THE LOVE OF--” Yukina shouted, looking slightly annoyed as she saw Rin was still in bed. “Rin, I said breakfast is ready!” Yukina shouted to her little sister.

Rin just looked at her with the more annoyed face possible. It was taking all that she could not to pound the hell out of her older sister right then and there. “I would have come down eventually if you hadn’t been so goddamn pushy.” Rin said to her sister.

“Me? Pushy? Never.” Yukina’s voice oozed with sarcasm. “Just come down. The whole family is waiting for you.” Yukina said with a smile and a wink as she left her little sister. Yukina sure changed her moods frequently.

“Stupid Yukina.”
Rin sighed as she looked around for something to wear. She looked over in the corner and saw some semi-clean sweats that were black in color and had a cyan skull pattern on them. Added with a simple light blue tank, Rin made her way out of her room and down the stairs.

When Rin had made her way to the dining room, she saw her entire family. There was her father Lucious sitting at the head of the table. The left of him was Rex. Opposite of him was their mother. Next to Rex, Kagetsu sat and opposite of her was Yukino. Yukina saw next to her twin brother and there was a chair opposite of Yukina and Rin took it.

Throughout the table, there was quite the selection of breakfast items. There was eggs of different varieties -- some were boiled, fried, poached, scrambled, and hardboiled. There was also a collection of potatoes. Some of them were cubed in a hash and some were shredded. There was also pancakes and waffles, some steaks, and fruit. There was a pile of bacon and a few rows of thick, maple sausage links. It was a big family breakfast and everyone started taking what they preferred. Luscious took a steak and fried eggs as well as some coffee and orange slices. Hana, the mother, took a few waffles and pear slices. Rex and Kagetsu both just had some coffee and pancakes. The twins had the same thing: Waffles, bacon, and scrambled eggs.

While everyone was enjoying their breakfast, Rin sat there looking at what she had gotten and that was a few sausage links and fried eggs. After five minutes of getting it, Rin did not even touch it. She simply looked down at it. Obviously her mind was somewhere else at the moment.

Yukino took notice as he saw his baby sister looking down at her plate. “It’ll go cold if you don’t eat it, baby sister.” Yukino said in a low tone so that only she would hear him. Though, with the sounds of the utensils hitting the glass plates and the chatter that followed it, not like anyone would hear him anyways.

On the words of her brother, Rin started to eat her food, but she did not enjoy it. It wasn’t that it wasn’t tasty. All of the food the chef makes had always been top-notch, five-star worthy food, but Rin’s state of mind was just not in the place for her to enjoy it. Still, she did not want it to go to waste, so she ate as much as she can, albeit a little slower than most. By the time she had finished her plate, she was the only one left. It was about fifteen minutes until Rin finished her plate and had put it on the kitchen counter where one of the maids was doing the dishes.

As Rin was about to head back to her room, she stopped. “Rin, could you come to my study for a moment?” She heard her father call out to her as he was gesturing to follow him. She had no choice but to do so. As Rin followed her father into his study, he spoke. “Close the door please.” He said calmly, taking a seat at his desk. “Please, if you will.” He said gesturing to her once more, this time towards one of the two chairs that face opposite of his desk.

Rin nervously took a seat. She didn’t know what this was about. With her father, it could have been about how she was a disappointment to him as both a possible heir to the clan and a daughter in general. “Father, please if I did anything--”

Luscious held his hand up, “It’s alright, I’m not going to lecture you on your life choices thus far.” He said with a certain elegance to his voice.

Rin was stunned, but also very curious. “Then, if I may ask, what is this about?” She inquired.

Laughing slightly, Luscious leaned forward, his hands holding his head up as they were locked under his chin. A smile formed. “About your mission of course.” He stated simply.

“Oh..” Her voice fell flat and low. “So, you already heard, did you?” She said.

"Yes, I got the report while you slept last night." Luscious said as he nodded. He continued. “That I have.” He said, “quite the ordeal indeed. A whole village killed by a man with a rather unique Kekkei Genkai. Such a trait that should be considered highly dangerous if in the hands of the wrong person.” He was stating facts that Rin already knew. “And to think he lured Konoha shinobi there just so that he could get a quick death. Truly a tragedy indeed.” He said as if he was narrating some television special or lecturing a class.

“Father, if you forgive my rudeness, but why are you telling me something that I already know?” Rin said with a hint of annoyance in her tone.

Luscious laughed. “Yes, you do. And it’s my understanding that you had the option of being the one to end this man’s life, is it not?”

Rin simply nodded.

“So, tell me my sweet, rebellious daughter, why didn’t you? Why didn’t you take the initiative of proving your worth to this family -- to your village -- and deliver what that man wished?” He asked coldly, the disapproving tone of his back in full force.

“Father, it’s not what you think--” Rin was trying to explain, but she was cut off by him.

“Don’t bother answering. I already know. You are weak and frail. You do not have what it takes to end a life, even if it’s the life of a man that wants you to. I can’t believe that you have the blood of a Reikan in you. You‘re pitiful.” His words of disgust ripped through like a straight razor as if she were butter. The pure anger and disgust he felt for his own daughter made her sit there, frozen. Rin wanted to cry. She could feel the tears coming, but she did not let him see them.

“A-am I free to go now?” She asked simply.

“Yes, do as you please. I have nothing more to say to you.“ Luscious waved her away, turning away in his chair.

Rin ran out of her father’s study, tears flowing from her eyes. Her siblings saw, but before they could ask, she had ran out of the door, across the lake, and off to god-knows where.

It wasn’t before long that the mission briefing was done and the teams all took off, following their respective leader. The genin team was supposed to be Rin, Geichi, and Doto, but after the mission in Raijin, Doto quit the life of an active shinobi. Rin couldn’t blame him, but she was still disappointed. She thought he would at least stay as a shinobi, but just take time off. Either way, Rin didn’t like it, but there was nothing else that she could do.

As Rin adjusted her bag, she tightened it so that it wouldn’t fall off on the long journey that was sure to come with the mission. She followed Geichi’s lead.

Jaakuna Sawada, The Sundance Kid

Briefly after Hideyoshi left to get briefed more on the mission that had Jaakuna bed-ridden, Chrome and Aisha came back. It was literally just seconds after his brother left that they entered his room. Jaakuna could still feel the wind from Hideyoshi’s departure mixing with the natural breeze from the wind.

“We’re back!” Aisha announced running towards Jaakuna, hugging him. She had a can of Naruto Pop in her hand.

Jaakuna just smiled and was laughing a bit.

“Something I miss?” Chrome inquired, taking a seat in the chair next to Jaakuna’s bed, crossing her legs as she sipped her Sasuke Energy Drink.

“Hideyoshi came to visit me not too long ago.” Jaakuna mentioned.

Chrome stopped sipping her drink briefly, her fist was tightening. Jaakuna noticed and had a look of fear on his face.

“Did he now?” She said, untensing her grip of her drink. “That was nice of him.” Her voice was calm, but only for Aisha’s sake.

Jaakuna knew that tone. He knew it cause that was her tone of voice every time either Jaakuna would get injured or Hideyoshi would talk. She still had great disdain for him, which was a normal reaction. It’s been only a little past a year since his father and Chrome’s husband was killed. Even though the three of them know what kind of man he truly was, Chrome still felt ill will towards Hideyoshi. There was really nothing Jaakuna could do.

As the time flew by, Jaakuna was enjoying the various conversations his family and him were having. That was, however, until Ayame came back to his room only to tell him that he had to be out of the hospital by two days from then. It came to him as a shocker, but there wasn’t anything Jaakuna could do about that. He either had to push through the pain or claim to be too injured to go on a mission, but Jaakuna wasn’t that lazy.

“I guess I better get out of here then.” Jaakuna said, as he was about to get out of bed.

“What are you talking about? You’re still hurt.” Chrome was protesting the idea.

“Mom, I understand you’re worried, but I can’t stay in bed any longer.” Jaakuna was adamant about going. “You heard Ayame-sempai. I need to be ready by two days from now. The least I can do is start getting my body ready by walking.” Jaakuna said.

Chrome wanted to protest further, but that’s when she saw the look of determination in his eyes. Furthermore, the tone of his voice added to that. Chrome simply shook her head and smiled. “I swear, if this keeps up, I’m going to be all alone.” She said, “Fine, let’s get you checked out.” She said, agreeing.

“Thank you.”

Two days after taking it easy, Jaakuna was there with everyone else as the mission was being briefed. When Ayame was explaining, he was paired up with Paneru and Shin as they were going to be led by Fujitora, Ayame’s brother and Lord Commander of the Jounins. The mission was to recover some scroll that was stolen. “Sounds easy enough,” Jaakuna mused aloud. He wasn’t lying though. From what Ayame said, it really wasn’t that hard of a mission.

As she finished, the teams took off. Jaakuna following Paneru, Shin as the latter two followed Fujitora. When they first took off, Jaakuna was lightly favoring his ribs. It seemed that his injuries haven’t fully-healed yet. Anybody that would even look back at him would clearly see that he was holding his sides. Eventually, they would all meet at an abandoned park in Downtown. All three chunin sat on the grass while Fujitora-sensei was leaning against a tree. As he would explain it the mission in detail, Jaakuna didn’t smile, but he did have a little grin. It wasn’t at Fujitora explaining the mission, but it was what Shin said.

“Yeah, Shin’s right. We grab the scroll, kick some asses and get back in time for supper.” Jaakuna proceeded to highfive Shin as he finished.

Having reread the post to be sure, I fully understand what you did. And while Vos does indeed have impressive feats -- some in which are a little scary -- I have doubts that he would be able to motion his body freely in such a way that you explained it while his equilibrium was disrupted. Mind you, the kick he delivered definitely did connect, but Alexis took that hit so that she could get Vos where she wanted him, which was towards the ground and in the pathway of an array of fireballs.

But yes, I too, would like to hear @Rilla's thought on the matter. Perhaps having a third party/vote would help us solve this and move forward in a positive way.

EDIt: Guess I was ninja'd. Perhaps it would be best suited for @Innue to help out.
I think you misunderstood the actions Alexis took in my post. The kick hit her gut, yes, but at the same time, she cupped the shin of that same leg, and proceeded to spin both herself and him while all of the momentum shifted in her favor. Then she released him with all of that spinning around built up and he was sent to the ground. Then she an array of fireballs at him while he was going down.

Either I missed something in your post(feel free to point that out if I did) or you completely skipped over the key points of what Alexis did.

Rin Reikan, Little Ice Minx

Simply staring at the sky, Rin saw the dark-grey clouds that hindered the natural blue clouds of it. The rain fell to the blood-soaked ground of the village. She couldn't help but think of how her clan's connection to the Blood Mist Village and her sudden change of heart to not kill that man after Daiki had spoke some very true words. She was ready to kill that man without even so much of a second thought. If this were the Blood Mist Village, she would have been ostracized for not killing the man with such a cold volition that it made her seem like a demon of some sort.

Turning her head slightly at the sound of the door of the teahouse opening, Rin saw Aoi come out. The colorful-dressing chunin had simply told not only her but Doto and Haruka nearby to back away from the teahouse. It seemed that she had ended the man's life and Daiki was finishing up the process of cremation for the old man's body. Rin did as instructed and she saw the teahouse start to show signs and effects from the fire. The blaze stood out in the monotonous atmosphere like a sore thumb.

It wasn't long after the house had been set ablaze that the trek back home would begin. Rin followed in silence. She didn't have any words to speak, but there was also the fact that Doto had been pretty shaken up about the whole ordeal. Rin knew that the one-year-older-than-her genin couldn't take the dark truths of the shinobi world. It's not like Rin has a lot of room to talk, but she at least understands what needs to be done. Granted, she couldn't go through with the killing, but she at least understands it. Doto, on the other hand, couldn't, or maybe it was that he wouldn't. He still had the idea set in his mind that everything should be all hunky-dory. She actually admired him for that. Even though he was annoying as all hell, she admired that innocent and positive outlook he had on life.
Alexis Tomer, The Fire Fighter

Alexis thought that she had at least some time to rest before Casana would come for her next attack, but she was wrong. Within seconds, the latter fighter did an impressive display of momentum manipulation with the chakarms and the chains that connected them. Alexis, by the time that Casana was just one meter from the ground, activated her Fighter Spirit Aura, it flaring up brighter now. Alexis could feel that this would most likely be her last time using it. When Casana had launched her chakarm at Alexis in a long-ranged, horizontal slice/slash, Alexis ducked. In the few seconds that it flew over her head, Alexis placed her hands on the ground, sending her fire powers through the ground. As the ground itself began to heat up at a fast rate, a straight line of the heated ground wold erupt, sending a vibrant -- and rather hot -- display of fire and ground right beneath Casana.
