Raiko had spent the majority of the past couple of hours following that prestiess from before. In his gut, he knew something was going to happen that concerned him. He didn’t know what it was exactly or if it would be worth the risk of earning the wrath of Ryoshi. He obviously knew that interacting with the humans, even if it was a human who didn’t seem to be a danger to his well-being, could have adverse reactions to not only Raiko, but the current arrangement that the Demons of Serpent Mountain currently have with the humans of Seiki. Raiko was willing to take that risk. It was something about the human woman that told him that he needed follow her.

So he did. He trailed along the shadows, using his demonic energy to mask his presence. Thank the gods, it was an overcast morning. Had it not been cloudy, Raiko would have to think of alternate means to follow. But alas, that was neither here nor there.

At some point, they arrived at a village that, as Raiko crept like a ninja in broad daylight, would soon find out it bore the same name as Ryoshi. It wasn’t until Raiko kept his Shadow Skin on did he realize it was not only named after the same demon that had been caring and training him for the past ten years, this demon - the King of the Serpent Shadows - was a demon that this village - this Ryoshi Village - gave him offerings, which as Raiko knew before it was even said that it had to do with the excessive amount of sake he’d been drinking. Though, Raiko didn’t know about the human women part. Then again, that drunken demon didn’t divulge everything he did to Raiko. They most certainly would have a war of words when Raiko returned to the mountain.

To be quite honest, Raiko was nearly ready to head back. Having enough of what he heard - well more like he was satisfied - he thought he might go confront him, but then something caught his eye.

Okay, maybe it was more than a few. Truth be told, a combination of things that happened right after the other caught his attention. The priestess from before questioned the villagers and then she started to question one about Ryoshi. Unlike the others before her, this one seemed more informed about Ryoshi. The Ryoshi that he knew was starting to come alive in the words that Raiko heard being spoken about him. What he knew about his master (if he could call him that) was that, one sweet murmur or two and he could be talked into doing just about anything. So when he heard this being uttered by the person the priestess was questioning, Raiko being intrigued. And then, his demnic, miscievous nature soon became the dominant trait as soon as he saw the first sign of cleavage. Instincualy, he tried to get a better look by standing on a rock. He saw the hint of a nipple and then suddenly

CRASH!

Without warning, in front of the priestess who wasn’t presented very holy-like, Raiko came crashing down with the barricade. “Well, that could’ve went better than I had hoped.”

“A-a-a..a Demon!?” Kaito started to elevate her voice.

“Can you not. Please, I swear, despite my lurking ways, I am on your side. Really.”

“And how do I know I can trust you, demon?”

“Well, for one, I haven’t tried to kill you yet. But also, you see that staff over there?” Raiko pointed to the weird staff. “I imagine, if I posed any threat, I’d be dead. Notice how I’m still alive?”

“I suppose you have a point, demon. But that doesn’t explain why you were creeping where a man such as yourself - even for a demon - should be creeping at.”

“You got me. I’m suppose I'm a guy with needs,” Raiko teased, laughing, though his eyes to the priestess’ own eyes. “You say you want to know if you can trust Ryoshi? Let me be the judge of that.”

“And how would you know Ryoshi?”

Raiko stood up, looking to the human girl for a moment, then taking only another to glance at the priestess. He smiled, finally putting some of the pieces together, though he didn’t have the complete puzzle solved. “He’s kind of my dad. Well, kind of. More like a guy who has looked after me for about 10 years now.” Raiko scratched his head, keeping his eyes on the human girl. “So, how about it, girlie? Wanna hike up the mountain with me? I promise to make it worth your while," Raiko said, wiggling his eyebrows (much to the disgust of Kaito)

There's often a lot of misconceptions about Kavi Salvador. While it is true he doesn't always do things that everyone may approve of (such as teasing certain nerds or double-timing girls he dates), Kavi isn't a bad guy. He puts on a front of being a little to arrogant and pompous than he really is. Of course, he is definitely both of those things, but there's so much more to Kavi as a person that isn't often seen. He has a tough time admitting when he's wrong, so that does come with the front of unable to admit responsiblity to what he does. This could put him at odds with others and may even lead to him taking up arms out of defense alone. Or maybe it's his insecurities always resorting to violence. Nobody is ever really sure, but there will come a point in time where Kavi Antonio Salvador will be faced with no other choice but to own up to his shit.

U P B R I N G I N G S Y N O P S I S.

Growing up as the eldest son of retired pro-surfer, Kai Parata and renown tattoo artist, Veronica Salvador, was an interesting experience for the straightedge Kavi Antonio. Being the product of a couple who, for all intents and purposes, had a huge blast during the inception of their relationship. According to the story told by his father, their initial attraction was through their personality clicking and their sense of humor. Whether or not that was because how his mother loved his hair and just accepted everything about him - good and bad - as part of the package deal. Even to this day, Kavi never got a straight answer out of her about the subject. Must’ve broke her heart when he had that cancer scare and had to shave it all off. He’s fine now, but during Kavi’s single-digit days, it was scary.

Ah well, back to Kavi’s life story. His mother was a good mother to both he and his little sister, Nikolette Viviana Salvador. She allowed them to find themselves, but boy was she an unorthodox mother. She actually encouraged they fight but only so they don’t become the targets of bullies. As a result, Kavi was enrolled in Judo classes after turning 7 and his sister was enrolled in karate at the same age. It proved to be worth it because no one dared bother Kavi when he demonstrated just how dangerous he was. Though, that was probably the beginning of his troubles. Throughout middle school and till now, he’s racked up so many detention visits (much like his own mother), on-campus suspensions, and even a few stints of home suspension. There was even a time or two where he faced expulsion in his junior year. Suffice to say, that was the end of his mother’s leniency.

Something that his upbringing taught Kavi was that, unlike his grandfather, who turned to drugs when his father was in his 20s, swore it off early. Plus, his Judo training routine requires that his body be like a temple. Only natural elements may be allowed. Though he may not adhere to the full layout of it, Kavi does adapt certain aspects of the Straight Edge lifestyle. He occasionally drinks, but he will never smoke anything unnatural. Cigarettes and cigars may be off the table, but weed, on occasion, isn't so bad.

Some facts about Kavi:

• Having been taking Judo since he was the age of 7, Kavi is extremely skilled in the art. Currently, he is a blue belt who is a test away from becoming a brown belt.
  
  • Upon the requirement of his sensei, Kavi trains 5 times a week with a 2 day maximum rest so that his body and chi can rest before starting his week over again.
• Despite his disciplined upbringing, Kavi is quite the troublemaker. Of his class, he holds the record for most times spent in detention at a record-breaking 300 times (including single, double, and triple period stays, as well as over 30 on-campus suspension). As one could probably guess, he’s quite proud of this achievement. His parents, however, are not - well, Vivi isn’t.
• While he doesn’t have a phobia of dating in general, he does, however, make for a horrible boyfriend (or person to date in general). His last 5 dates ended because he lost interest and didn’t call the last five girls he dated.
• He is a vegan.

Ariel || She's endgame

Kavi and Ariel's relationship has been and might always be a rocky on. They have the kind of relationship that one might call a two-way street down destruction way. They are as bad for each other as they are good and that's why they work. Kavi's tendencies to overlook certain things and Ariel's tendency to not let him get away with it is just one example of why they work.

She keeps him leveled and centered. And above all else, when he needs to be taken down a peg or three, she's the one to do it. Even despite being mistreated by her, Ariel took him back. Why would she do that? He has no idea, but his mother always told him if he could find someone that knows the good, the bad, and all of the ugly, she's a keeper. This is why Kavi did everything in his power to get at her level and work things out the best that he could.

He knew she wasn't his type and she knew that he didn't commit. Of course, this was all before meeting Ariel.

The only time Kavi's reputation didn't benefit him was when he had lined up a date with Chanel Martin. They clicked rather well, too. It seemed like a recipe for success, but she didn't like his womanizing ways and severed any and all romantic (or otherwise) contact.

The truth of the matter is that Kavi still cares very much for April. Despite what the kiss they shared cost him, he can't shake the compassion he feels for her. Maybe it's feeling sorry for her situation and how long it took Santiago to finally step up (he heard it from the grapevine), or just everything else, but Kavi considers her to be a dear friend and maybe one day when everyone else isn't still stuck on the fact that he kissed her once, he could share a meal with her without it sounding the alarm.

When it comes to Stella and Sonny, Kavi has a bit of a bias. Yes, it's true neither of them really hang out with each other. Sonny's got the Misfits with Marisol and Stella's big with Chanel's group and the cheerleaders, so obviously Kavi doesn't trek to their neighborhoods unless needed or forced to. All the same, the childhood closeness between them is just too strong for anyone to come between them. At the end of the day, whether people like it or not, Kavi is going to be there for them in ways nobody can.

Marisol || Family is complicated

Kavi and Marisol don't have much of a relation outside him being her first cousin and she knowing one of his childhood friends really, really well and hating the other. Kavi predicts seeing her more frequently given that she and Ariel rekindled their friendship.

Still, Carter's nice to chat with about the social injustice plaguing America and the world right now -- ya know, when Kavi is feeling the mood.

A long time ago when Kavi wasn't known for his player ways and more known for his knack of getting into trouble and detention, he met a blonde goth boy with a fondness for black everything and a vibe that would make Edgar Allen Poe side-eye him. Among their many exchanges, Kavi found that Jasper was, as the oldest cliche says, a bit misunderstood. Society branded him a weirdo and a freak, but Kavi just calls him the pasty goth from detention. And when TKA's resident womanizer/tormenter of all nerds decided nerds were his target, he doubled down on protection duties for Jasper. Nobody messed with him because they would very much get those hands.

Jack || Teammate and general focus of jokes (all in good spirit of course)

Jack is the butt of the locker room's jokes because of his name. Though, contrary to his name, he is not a Jagoff. He's pretty cool and Kavi can't think of a bad thing about him outside his shitty name. Seriously, assassinate the person who named him.

Max || Full of Energy

Max is one of those guys that Kavi knows is exactly what they appear to be, which is to say he's all hot air, monster energy drinks, and doesn't have a lot up in his noggin. That being said, nothing this fool has done has ever made Kavi think he's a bad person. His choice in female companions could leave a lot to be desired for, but stupid attracts stupid, so he doesn't put any blame on him for that.

Kavi likes to think that he and sawyer can be friends now. Back when he was being too cool for school, Kavi used to have some fun with Gavin. And since Kavi's days of tormenting Gavin are over, there's no reason for Sawyer to reject his sincere offer of mild friendship.

There is a lot to be said about Julie, Queen of Fashion and overall babe. She's a redhead and one that doesn't seem to anger easily. At least, that's what happens when one underestimates her or takes her kindness for weakness. Kavi might seem like a dunz like Sonny, but he isn't. He knows when the fuse is lit. Not that he will keep too much distance, but he doesn't really know her well enough to say whether or not he's safe at a close distance. Still, Julie has the right mix of everything.

Kavi knew Shawna from when he had trouble in a class or two. His parents hired her to be his tudor and she helped him get better. Outside that, however, they have very limited interactions. The only thing he can really say is she befriended Ariel shortly after their first breakup and he's seen the two together a lot more frequently. Oh and she's now not a prodigy. That's really the only thing that Kavi can say about Shawna.

Santiago || The Antithesis

There's a lot to say about Santiago Fernandez but the biggest thing that Kavi has to say about him is they're cut from the same cloth. They have very similar demeanors that they are one of two cases, which is to say that people who are so similar either become really good friends or hate each other's guts. Unfortunately for them, they fell into the latter category. But the truth of the matter is this: Kavi doesn't hate Santiago.

Contrary to any belief -- popular or not -- Kavi really doesn't hate him. There is just so much overlapping in their lives (personal or otherwise) that they get too close to each other for their own comfort, which tends to turn a neutral situation volatile in record time. When you include their tendencies to go out of their way to make other people miserable, it makes for a toxic environment. In Kavi's case, he purposely put himself in the middle of Santiago and April to make sure Diablo felt threatened, knowing that if he didn't do something about it, April was going to be swept up by some other guy.

At the end of the day, Kavi and Santiago have too much in common personality-wise to say there's hatred between them. After Kavi lost Ariel and Santiago and April talked, Kavi stayed away from him. Will he and Santi be friends? There's no telling but it won't happen anytime soon. Still, just to enforce it: Kavi does not hate Santiago.

2 images that are non-human and are an indication of your character as humanly possible. whatever represents your character the most is what I need.)
