while tru, quantity != quality, the fact is there's enough good writers out there with diverse enough interests to fit most niches apart from the unrealistically specific i.e. kitten beheading RP

About me: Where do I begin. I'm from Belarus, and fairly proud of it. I've been RPing about a decade starting mostly with chat stuff and some LARPs/reenactments, doing the stuff of this site for maybe half a decade now. I'm a former serviceman, and while I was conscripted I make sure to stay in related circles. As a day job I'm a programmer letting me usually work from home even when we don't have coronavirus forcing us to do so and thus I got a lot of time for RP.
@Hank Would a ripper-pistol be an acceptable side-arm for an Investigator? Also I am probably not going to carry a "primary" weapon except for the massive riots, since I do not see the point of an investigator going around with one. Could he be a latent psyker as well, like discovering his limited powers as the RP goes on and trying to hide them from the team, and realising that he is not as good as a detective as he thought and was "cheating" the whole time? Or is that too snowflakey?
"Jesus fuck-" Fred began, startled by this jet-head looking person. He turned to look at her, sizing her up and trying to keep a face of disgust off of him. Grunting he looked to the area behind her to see if anyone was there. Quickly he would spin around to see if anyone was there, and send a few shot from his recharger pistol to check if there were the reflections and shimmering of a stealth boy if there wasn't. If it appeared he was more or less safe, he would turn back to her.
"Yeah, what for?" he would ask. He wondered what she could ask of him. He was not a hero, but it was very easy to guilt him into fighting to save a slave or something of the sort. He considered giving her some of his mentats, but he decided that the benefits of five minutes of nice breath would be outweighed by increased drug dependency on her side. "And who?" he added quickly. He was relieved he did not have to go with his alternate plan. The likelihood he would have died was high to say the least, even though it would be entertaining.
How easy would it be to just gouge out it's eyes with it's own bones, he mused. He had a sunken mindless expression about him as he half-listened, though it was mostly concealed by the mask. "I know what is to be done with Orks fool! Removing the bloody spores is not difficult, just siphon fuel from the damn flamers or trukks of theirs!" He did not know if such a thing was allowed or not, but after all it was usually formerly Imperial Promethium or the world's own fossil fuel. He didn't really bother with this until now, he wasn't a soldier, although he did not remember reading anything of that sort in all the Uplifting Primers he found on dead Guardsmen.
When she referred to "Frateris bullcrap" however he saw red; more than he usually did. "Why you little-" he began, his hand darting for her throat. Then a thought struck him: What if it has rabies? He quickly pulled the hand back making a disgusted retching noise. Snarling a little, he stared on. He should have put the mask on earlier, who knows what sorts of disease the damn things carry. Looking back, going fighting the beastman so bare was also not a good idea, they would only be worse. Perhaps the stand-off that occurred was a good thing. "A dime a dozen? Point me to them. I heard Cadians are supposed to be big, yet all I saw are like the runty shit that threatened me."
He let out another brutish burst of laughter when told to lose the attitude, gripping his stomach for support. When the laughter finally died down he returned to his usual expression of anger and rage. "If I die, so be it. I'll make sure I'll take down the incompetent fool down with me." He would turn a little to show the charge on his back intended for a spectacular suicide that never came. When she spoke of xenos he grinned imperceptibly. "I'm sure they can skewer and eat you, even I would not be wholly against such a thing; if cooked properly anyways. Ogryns are stupid, they cannot aim, they just go forward. I'm clever enough to let all sorts of the wretches around be in front without getting caught. Usually anyway."
When the topic of returning home and aiding his wounds came up, he groaned. "I'm forty-one. If today is my first day in the Guard, I am not going to live long enough to properly retire due to time spent serving, and that is assuming someone bigger and badder than me doesn't take my head first. When I get off this planet, I am only returning if the new damn regiment gets assigned to it.
Finally, he let his last burst of laughter out. "The only thing I need is Frenzon! More and more of it, and whatever other fighting juice you can get." He would drop down his heavy stubber with a clang. "You try and compensate for the recoil of that." He would finish, pointing to the thing, wondering if she could even lift it.

Story: Gather a group to continue his old mission: to maintain the balance between the races, hunting everything that threathens this balance.
Biography:
Some elves believe that there are forces in this world that are strong enough to disrupt the natural order, and if not stopped, will destroy it. Agarwaen is one of those elves. Part of "The White Arrows", a group created by his parents to maintain the balance in the world, they swore to never partake in any war unless absolutely necessary. They believed that the balance between all races must be maintained.
He and his parents were watching closely Sauron, fearing the actions that he was taking. When he started to menace the natural balance, they had to go to the war. They had a rule: to never directly take part in a war, unless absolutely necessary. That rule had to be revoked when the War of the last Alliance began. Sauron was too big of a threat... The alliance was enough proof. His power was big enough to make the races form such a big alliance against him.
Agarwaen himself had to go to that war together with his parents due to their group's rules. Participating in every war against Sauron's hordes, Agarwaen's arrows always hit his target, and the help of The White Arrow, although subtle, was decisive to the outcome of the war.
His parents died together with Isildur in the Battle of the Gladden Fields, trying to protect the ring. Agarwaen, just like his parents, didn't believed that Sauron was gone, convinced that he was a threat that needed to be put down above all else. During the beginning of the third age, Agarwaen, kept close watch to any signals of him returning, honing his skills waiting for when they were needed again. When the witch king appeared and the nazgul began to reappear, Agarwaen was one of the first to try to go against him, taking his rise and the reappearance of the nazgul as signs from Sauron's influence.
Following the path that was carved for him, he kept doing this silent work, without even being recognized.
All of this changed when his group got ambushed. Needless to say, some people didn't liked what they were doing. Some called them just mindless killers, worse than mercenaries. Calmly walking back to their hideout, a rain of arrows pierced his and his allies. The poison slowly started to burn their veins with an agonizing pain. Everything was burning, but strangely enough, they felt a deep cold, as they were freezing. The world got darker and everything began to fade. They didn't even saw what hit them.
A couple of days later, Agarwaen wakes up inside a temple. Laying on an Stone bed, he looked around. The temple was carved inside a mountain, the noise of Hammers striking hot steel, the heat from the forges... they were dwarves. Agarwaen knew that dwarves didn't liked elves very much, and tried to get up, but his body was still weak. Just as he moved, a dwarf, wearing an angular armor, beautifully crafted, came near him and spoke to him. "We know what you do. And we are grateful by it. Not many understand the essencial work that you and your friends do." He said. Surprised, Agarwaen replied "Thank you. my name is Agarwaen, but i think you already know that. My companions... are they alive?" With a Dark expression, the dwarf looked down, shaking his head. "I'm afraid they are not. The poison was strong enough to kill a Mûmakil. I don't know how you did it, but somehow, you managed to survive." He said. Agarwaen nodded "I-i see... its sad, but they died doing what they had to do." "I like your words Elf. Dying is not something to fear or mourn. Dying is merely the completion of one's story. You must continue your job Agarwaen. I can't replace your group, but i can help you." He said. Snapping his fingers, another dwarf came and handed him a big wooden box. Walking near Agarwaen, he slowly opened it, revealing a huge reinforced longbow and two gloves, made of a sturdy material that he didn't recognize, Strong, but lightweight. "Its yours. Both marvels of Dwarves craftsmanship. Its arrows can pierce even a dragon's hide. It will take a while for you to get used to it, but after you do, it is a mighty weapon." He said, holding one of its oversized arrows. "The gloves, they were very hard to build. The materials they are made are a closely guarded secret of the dwarves. Its very hard to come by, and are even harder to work with." He said, showing them proudly. "Just be careful, their claws are... well... very, very dangerous as you may expect. Don't try to use the bow without them. You will probably lose your fingers if you do. And... well, just don't try to scratch your intimate parts with them!"
Agarwaen took the gifts, and bowed, thanking the dwarf.
"I thank you from the depths of my heart. How can i repay you?" He asked. "Hahaha! Stop with this bullshit! If you want to repay me, just continue doing what you do, and before leaving, make sure to drink with me!" The dwarf said, with a loud laughter.
After bidding farewell to the dwarf and taking some provisions, Agarwaen started wandering, looking for people who might help him with his task. It didn't matter how strong and experienced he was, a task like that couldn't be complete by only one person. Sadly, time wasn't on his side...
this is the color-scheme that rult and i made. we based it on the character's attributes, job, or personalities. are you guys alright with this? or maybe you can suggest other colors? it's just for the sake of easier reading, really. it can be used for everyone's posts and it can also not be used. it's totally okay. we're just really suggesting this.......
