Hayden nodded to Ciell, she was one of the other students, a top contender for the top slot. Sadly she would have to go through him to get it, she wasn't the only one with a few tricks up their sleeve. Hayden had trained on the Paladin, same model she used so he knew it's weaknesses and strengths. More importantly his Knight was an easier model to maneuver and fight with. He would need to rely on range and try to find a weak point in her shielding, after all arena matches ended when the shield failed not when the mech was scrapped.

He had already taken the bed closer to the door so he didn't care when Cyan claimed the other, he checked his tablet. "Ash, can mom get me into the mech bay, I want to tune my mech some. Maybe hit the arena before they shut down for the night. He yawned and sent a message to the bunch at the end of the hall, letting them all know he was going down to the Mech bay and that dinner was in three hours. He pulled up Ash, she appeared as young women with blonde hair much like his own in dirty jumpsuit. The image was based off Hayden's older sister and the current top senior in the school. "So Ash, ranking exams are tomorrow. Written then practical, following that we have the day off right?"

"Correct." The A.I. said slowly as if distracted by something. "Hayden your sister is also down in the Mech bay, she's testing a prototype."

Hayden smiled and called the elevator. "And they didn't invite me, well I'll head down and... Help out." He grinned stepping into the elevators. Waiting for it to head down.

Legend of Zelda: A New Story

Link had expected Princess Zelda to tell him he could leave, instead she asked his name. He paused, carefully looking up at the princess, he didn't show it but she was as radiant as he'd heard. He answers in a careful tone, he didn't know what the princess really expected for him. "I am Link, Princess Zelda." He answered before bowing his head once more, his mind wandered. He knew of stories where Princesses picked husbands, he doubted that was case here but one could never be certain.

He thought of other things she might want of him, perhaps a bodyguard? She had not seen his skill with a blade and could have her pick of the castle's guards, that couldn't be it. Perhaps she had a request, in the past villagers had been asked to go into the forest and look for items of legend or artifacts from ages ago. Few of those people had ever returned, he hoped this wouldn't be a job like that. He did know he could not refuse a request from the royal family.

Marwood shook his head at that. "Alvin I have to press this once again, let us detour through Renais. I have traveled the backroads and old passes, if we move through them we can avoid fighting. If we pass though your own country with it's larger cities we risk more peoples homes, more deaths, and more time." He sighed bring his horse to canter alongside him. "Renais is very sparsely populated, the villages we would pass would only think it was me out riding the country side." He looked at them all.

"Your face is not well known in my country, we could play you off as a mercenary for Carcino. Sion does not know I was here more importantly traveling through Grado put us in all the more danger." He looked at the others with them. "I ask that you let me guide you through to Frelia, we could arrive a day or two sooner and Sion would not risk invading Renais and then Frelia. His forces are strong but not strong enough to face down two countries one after another. My mother would see Renais safe as would my brother." He smiled at Alvin.

Then Marwood shuddered and looked down towards his saddle bags. "Beside's, my mother would offer to marry me to princess Rafeala before war would happen." He shivered again just saying those word. "Sion would obviously agree to it... After all it would mean Renais was his ally and his daughter would be happy... Though I may just jump to my death off the cliffs of Frelia if that happens." He said in sad voice. "Still, Renais will be okay. Your a brother to me Alvin, please let me take you though the safety of my own homeland a place where you can relax. We don't need to travel though Grado stirring up battles, a lot of innocents will get hurt and the cities could be destroyed." He stated, he thought to mention Alvin's father but he would wait to hear his reaction first.

Hayden rolled his eyes as he stepped into the elevator and let it take them up. "You can start piloting by tomorrow, real combat? Not likely but if we get attacked might have us as reserves. However we are getting broken up into squads at the end of the by the end of the week, four to a squad. Then the squad picks their leader and you go from their, oh and the top fifty students will get their choice of a full overhaul of their mech or a new custom model." He flexed his robotic arm. "If your itching for combat, don't be. I lost my arm and leg about six months ago when we got invaded, before we joined the IFS." He said stepping out the elevator he walked them down the hall.

He walked them down a couple hallways to the end of the hall then lifted his datapad and sighed. "Farid and Hunter your roommates doors on the left, got everything you need inside. Dominic you've got the end room all to yourself, lucky you it's got a view to, must have someone looking out for you. "Cyan your bunking with me, were on the right." Hayden yawned looked at them all. "Your class schedule will be on your data tablets, one for each of you in the room. Every room has it's own bathroom, hologram projectors for homework and recreation. Most importantly, they've got viewing screens. Theirs a massive arena under the whole place and we use mech battles, you can watch them here go down see them in person and if their's not a live one they show past battles so you can always learn a few moves." He told them yawning. "As for getting into your dorm their coded to your hand prints, so just put your hand on the door." He shrugged and started into his room.

The prince of Renais did not like working with bandits, however he also knew this lot had proven useful to have some morals, more then mercenaries they had faced at least. However he could not force them to fight alongside, so he looked to Alvin. He also spoke as to voice his idea as to where they should go next. "Alvin, we can cut through Renais and up into Frelia... Perhaps even gain aid from some of my knights along the way. Frelia is a free nation and we both have close ties to the kingdom. We can ask them from aid, my brother is also an option. My mother however would never take any official action, I might even get disowned for this little stunt." He grinned at his friend.

Marwood paused a moment. "Who did kill more back their? Don't count her kills as yours." He said pointing to Alvins mount. "She's twice as smart three times more lethal than you are." He said picking fun at the prince of Grado. Boys would be boys after all and nothing could change that. "So Alvin what do you think? Northwest into Renais and then into Frelia, avoid the soldiers around your own country or do you have your own idea on where we should travel to protect that treasure you carry." He asked petting his horse.

Praetor sighed looking at them all. "Do as you will, when the world crumbles around do not ask for my help. Perhaps I was better off before I joined a clan, hunting self serving scum." He turned walking back to his chair. "Those of you with no interest in Dracula are free to leave. I must go check on Lucian." He turned and left the room, heading off into the other room he want to the boy. Lucian was his friend and student, almost like son in some ways but now he had to face his greatest enemy living with that same body, sharing a mind with him. "Lucian... You must fight it, you can defeat him, hold him back. I will save you boy, just as I have always taken care of you no matter what trouble you have caused or put me though." He said patting the younger vampires shoulders.
