@Cuccoruler@Azaria Blue@Noxx@Kusanagifire Nya gulped and swallowed. Things definitely had gone very south. Her attempt at sniping the oni had been unsuccessful, and now in her zeal, she had drawn something orders of magnitudes worse than she initially thought. The oni demon had retreated, but she had drawn a demon lord and some sort of snakelike demon to the group of magical girls. It could well be the end of this group. She had to do something.
At leas that demon lord was polite, and was only interested in her. She eyed her companions, some of which had chosen to stand by and fight. Also why the hell were so many cats around? Nonono. She needed to focus on the task at hand. Responsabilities had to be taken.
"It's okay... you all should leave. Fight another day." Nya whispered. Her first outing and she was knee deep in a life-or-death situation. And her actions would be the key to solve it.
"I'm Nya Pawns." She added, answered to the demon lord. "Nice to make you acquaintance, your grace...is that the proper title? My demon etiquette is nonexistant."
Everything be damned, I have to help everyone. I have to toss that dreaded coin so soon. Her eyes went to her feet for a couple of seconds, before clasping the Demon Lord's hand. "A demon huh...no, I never thought of it... because..." She fidgetted once more.
"Well, nevermind...it's quicker if your grace...actually...finds...out." Nya gulped, as she directed Lina's hand towards her forehead."Although, your grace might not...like the result."
Not one bit. All glory to the Black Pharaoh, the Crawling Chaos.
Hana eyed the situation carefully. One of the kids was red as a beet. Maybe because of the room wreck?. The corpse she had brought was there, displayed for everyone to see. But Takumi and Rin were displaying all sorts of reticence towards the catch. Corpses don't grow on trees, you know. She sighed, sadly, seeing how that after 8 years, the catchup she was hoping to have would never happen. Asoka had grown tired and was sleeping. But well, that seemed for the best. She had only displayed her bad traits as an adult. She had even called them degenerates. Where was the old Asoka? The one who clung to the old man so adorably?
Everything changed.
Takumi, the clumsy, clueless boy turned ghoul was now a grown man. Physically unrecognizable, but Hana was glad Takumi's mind seemed somewhat...familiar to what he used to be. He hadn't done a total flip. But he was still... somewhat reticent on some regards. Rin seemed to pick that up, and like a cat wanting for cuddles, had stuck on him like glue. It was good...except it wasn't. Takumi's condition. Hana really wanted to study him. How much could one blur the line between human and ghoul, exactly?
You teasing little... Hana thought for the briefest moment, as Rin surprised everyone by telling Takumi to flat out cuddle with her in her apartment. The nerve of some people! And she wasn't even talking to Hana. Nor asking for the cup of coffee. She was offering her best hospitality, damnit!
"You know Rin, I am reluctant to see you off. I mean, this ward might be my home quarters, but for someone like you, there's a lot of things to watch out for. Like the russian and Chinese ghoul gangs, on top of the CCG." She let that phrase with hopes she'd stay the night and save the sleepover, but it was faint. "Be careful, okay?"
The twins seemed to flinch upon the mention, eyeing Hana quizzically...fear was patent on their eyes. Mii displayed a very different scowl. Indignation. Probably feeling betrayed.
It was really hard to please everyone...
"Don't worry my sweeties. Hana-chan is more than enough to protect you. Now, let's eat, shall we? Takkun... it's a shame you don't want some. Still, you might learn instead of Hana-chan's craft!" She addressed the other adult, before turning to the epic sulking expression Mii had.
"What?"
"Ukaku. I'm the same as you. So watch intently, okay?" Hana blurted out, before flickering her kakugan, signaling the activation of her kagune...except it didn't, instead she cupped her shoulder blade, as her eyes turned normal after a fraction of second, producing one of the shards that usually were sent high speed towards targets.
"These are sharper than knives. It shall do."
It was then when the spectacle unfolded. Hana's supernatural speed was revealed, as the corpse suddenly was filled with cuts, faster than the eye could see. Guided by the hand of a knowledgeable medic, with the lightning speed of a ghoul. before long, the abdominal cavity of the corpse was revealed.
And not a single speck of blood had been spilled outside the bag.
The twins were positively agape. "THAT WAS SO COOL!"
"Male, age 23. Cause of death, massive hemorrage produced by gunshot in the small intestine and spleen. Fortunately, all other major organs have been spared." She paused. "I really should thank that Carrion Beetle. He really knows how to find these yakuza wannabe corpses who tried to live hard and died fast." She clasped her hands."Itadakimasu!"
With an equally swift movement, she set aside five plates. First, the liver, it was split into two parts, one for Kazuya and one for Takeshi. Mii got the full set of Kidneys. As for the twins, they held their plates impatiently, before Hana, using her Kagune shard cut the cranium of the man open, scooping up the brain and dividing it by half.
"Eat up, eat up! Innards are the most nutritive, but they go to waste first. We can always eat the other meat later!" Hana chided, as she dug deep into the cavity, ripping the corpse's heart and happily setting it on another plate. Her plate. "Ukaku perks. They really combine well with Hana-chan's medicine." She finally ventured to say, eyeing Mii. "I could teach you guys."
@chukklehed "Ummm..." Nya looked at the older magical girl as she stood in front of her with a somewhat troubled expression. Was she reminding her of some sort of trauma? Sisterly feelings? She couldn't know, but for the time being, she played along. "Okay." She added. Plus, she seemed of the protective, strong type. A good complement in a team to her ranged attacks.
@RiverMaiden@IceHeart "Uhh...thanks! Same! I look forward to fight together!" Nya beamed a smile, greedily eating the cookie. "Now then..." She eyed the situation. Besides the rabble of the birds, there seemed to be a rather tough demon assaulting one of the girls. A tough sentient demon. That seemed rather strong to be a valuable asset to the opposing side. She began chanting, whispering coarse, forbidden words. Sentient demons were much more trouble than the standard. However, they, very much like humans, sometimes they were whimsical and prone to distractions. That demon seemed to be bent on fighting a magical girl one on one.
But she was... forgetting two things. One, the damned bird demons were way too stupid to do combined attacks. And two, there were half a dozen of magical girls who could team up.
No hard feelings, whomever you are. Nya raised her hand, a globular blob of an undescript uncertainty sharpening in a spear form, something that was neither fire nor molten metal, and appeared to be both at the same time. Something that inexplicably cut through even metal plating and burnt things it shouldn't be able to.
"SPEAR OF YOG-SOTHOTH!" She finished the chant, throwing the javelin in a wild arc towards the horned demon's head, hoping to snipe the creature while it was too busy grappling the other magical girl. A sneak attack in all intent and purposes, with lethal intention. Somehow, one of the scattered demon birds was in the way, and it simply vaporized in a whistling sound as the spear powered through it towards the target.
Please hit! Take the hit and don't get back up! Nya silently prayed.
I was reading this and I'm quite confused about what is actually happening. So the characters are facing each other, Terra Breaker steps through her legs and then takes a punch at her sternum which is in the chest area...ok so the way it seems to me is that she stepped inside Francesca's reach to avoid getting hand grabbed and give her a quick punch, but the through the legs part indicates that she went under her, putting her on Francesca's backside but then she couldn't punch her in the sternum.
Anyway a little clarification would be nice before making a response. The through the legs part is really messing with me.
It's obvious she wanted to kick Francesca in the balls but then she realized she had none so she settled for a punch instead :P
Personality: Nya is an eager girl, always trying to look recognition in others through willingness and hardwork. However, this also makes her appear naggy and needy at times, and can sometimes tire out even the most patient. She rarely talks about her true emotions, keeping a masquerade of almost neurotic behaviour, but deep down she's a rather awkward and shy girl, terrified of rejection. She doesn't really harbour much illwill to the demons, and at times she seems to sympathize with them. However she tries her hardest as a magical girl in order to find the recognition and acceptance she yearns for.
Gimmick/Theme behind Powers: Eldritch Abominations Psychological weakness: Nya's most glaring weakness is the fear of her less than human side, and also fearing of being rejected because of her true nature. Using her most powerful attacks also takes a toll on her sanity and she can grow increasingly psychotic. Powers:
Fire of Tulzscha: Her most basic spell, it is a simple hand-sized fireball which can be launched at a target. Because of the eldritch nature of the fire, it also seems to erode in addition to burning.
Silver Spear of Yog Shothoth: Her actual finisher spell, Nya spends a brief time chanting before unleashing a spear of an unknown, alien substance (either described as silver fire or a liquid metal) capable of piercing any kind of armor and searing through the thoughest of defenses. However its rather taxing execution only makes it suitable as a finisher or as a sniping attack.
Arcane Symbol: Nya can carve a symbol in any surface, and impart it with her essence. Said symbol will now ward off supernatural attacks that hit the nearby surface for a while, although repeated attacks will wear the symbol down.
Summoning: Nya can summon eldritch creatures, however due to her inexperience and lack of maturity she can only summon baby versions, which are more fit for support tasks than actual combat. She can summon baby shoggoths for cleaning, infant fire vampires for lighting, tiny deep ones for underwater tasks, etc...
Tentacle: Nya can summon a tentacle in any part of her body that can be swung like a whip and hits with the force of a crocodile tail. She is hesitant to use this, however, as the sheer gross factor of it can creep even demons.
Spawn Body: Nya's body has rather good regeneration properties, and she can regenerate and reattach broken bones and limbs rather quick. However, the proccess of regeneration also shows her inhuman part in the form of myriads of wormlike tendrils closing the wound. Due to this fact, conventional attacks and suffocation will only at most knock her out. Magical attacks, however, are perfectly capable of disrupting this process. Corruption also affects Nya in a peculiar way. The more corruption she stacks, the less human she'll appear to be, with black veins appearing all over, eyes in places where do not belong, wriggling tentacles, an elongated whiplike tongue... It also makes her appear more psychotic as the corruption progresses...but also immune to demonic control and sway. She becomes far too alien to control. Corrupting her completely will turn her into a hideous abomination: The spawn of Nyarlathotep, whose allegiance would be unknown.
History: Nya was born to a single mother, alcohol and a single-night stand. Wracked with guilt and sorrow of an ever spiraling life, Nya's mother rejected the child and committed suicide not soon after, calling her something that should not have been born. She was transferred to an orphanage, where she was tutored and fed acceptable. Nya wasn't very talkative by then, but soon, with the care of other kids, she came out from her shell little by little. Even if her own mother had not accepted them, others had done so. That was a feeling she craved desperatedly, eventually becoming an overeager energetic brat who was always doing things for others, and pestering people.
And orphanages are very well known demon magnets. The tragedy occurred. Children died, adults died, and a half dead Nya was crawling on the ground with only one useable arm, the blood from her wounds leaving a red trail as she desperately tried to get away from the beasts. Her vision blurred, and she hallucinated.
A man appeared, with dark eyes and dark clothes, amidst the demons. Some of them lunged on the man, but were pierced and tossed aside by an unknown force. The man knelt before the dying Nya, and produced in his gloved hands a dusty tome, gently sliding it towards Nya as he opened the pages. He nudged her face gently, showing a warm, or perhaps mischievous smile of pearly white teeth.
"Happy 15th anniversary, my child."
Nya couldn't understand. She focused on reading the book, full of alien scribbles, but somehow familiar. And the world went black.
She woke up, covered in blood, both her and of the creatures on herself. The man was nowhere to be found. Nor were the creatures, beyond their mangled bodies. A dark feeling clutched on her chest. Somehow, she knew she had been the one who had fought the demons back. And somehow, she knew that such mysterious man was her father. Her long lost father. And that he wasn't in the least human.
Nor she was either.
In the aftermath, Nya was transfered to another facility, where she came to terms with her...less than human side and decided to put it to good use with all the demons roaming about. Hoping, that perhaps, it wasn't too late to relive that feeling of acceptance she once had.
