Albert sat in the stairs outside the central, his sights on the ever passing crowds of people and cars that still persisted this late in the night. He sighed, rubbing his eye. That punch had hurt, more than the shrapnel wounds he had been stitched a while ago. Turns out, mr McKenzie wasn't too thrilled that the Kryptotw*ts had turned his bright and young son into something worth scrapping from a front bumper after a trip to the countryside. Well, to be fair, he wasn't the best person to comfort people about the horrors of dying in the line of duty.

He had seen so many cases of this... he barely cared at all nowadays. Not even when faced with the ones responsible for the demise of his copper mate, he did even blink. Processing had the habit of making everything a chore and boring, even if emotions should've run high. He looked at his wrist, somewhat numb. Ah, a victim of his own success. He hadn't written that much in a long time. It was a good thing the rest of the folks helped.

It was then when he spotted one of the officers. Reagan? Regan? Yes, Regan was her name. Nice broad. She knew a lot of the proceedings, so her help had been very welcome. He couldn't help but steal glances at her furious testing, as he sit there looking at the street. He chuckled slightly, when a couple of taxis bumped into eachother and started a scuffle, right in front of the police force.

"Cabbies..." He just smirked, before turning to eye the officer. "Long day, huh?" Albert joked. Yes, perhaps he needed to reconnect with awfully human and trite situations from time to time. The soldier machine, he didn't need much more of that kind of stuff anyway.

"I so happen to be craving for some roast and puds, you know, lost quite a bit of blood back there. Wanna join? Don't worry about me smoking. I kinda tossed away all my fags long time ago." Albert smirked cockily, as he eyed the officer.

Unfortunately, she had been taken for the night. But as soon as her explanation was given, Albert pointed out the need for a wingman. Besides he really was craving for roast.

"Oh, well, I am giving that kind of thing a 6 out of 10, ma'am." Albert said, his civvies being a perfect clash of jumper and boots. "Hope you good folks don't mind one more. You know, a copper never ventures alone in heated situations." The old soldier nodded, his eyes scanning the present.

Lass on Lass relationship uh? Fine by me, I won't have to explain that I'm her coworker that much.

@Applo Welcome! Glad to have you on board. There's no need for a writing sample, I haven't asked anyone to any as far as I can remember in this game. And Greenie vouches for you so you must be doing something right. Your CS is what will give me a good idea of your writing and your handle on the lore. If you're up for it, I do encourage more players to take up a House, but it's not a requirement. And you can run multiple solo characters if you wish to.

@ApploDon't look at the GM directly in the eye. It's dangerous! :P
@AtomicNutBtw, is your char near enough to the school to be seen from there, or is she still far away?

Near if you want to.
Why is everyone so interested in muffins lately?
Dariya

The teenager stretched lazily as she rubbed her eyes, staring at the blank screen of the laptop once more. She still had a couple of days until she restarted high school, so she could spend some leisure time for herself. Reclining herself against her bed, she sighed. These past days, she had done many things to catch up. Plus she was eighteen now. She could get the "quality" stuff, finally. And so she did. Internet was a vast repository of it, in fact.

She felt a shiver, her eyes scanning the lone flat in which she had taken a living to. She and her father didn't see to eye, so all that had trascended is that he had an obligation to pay for her education and living expenses, while he lived with that woman. Well, he wasn't exactly penniless, so she had afforded herself a cozy one bed apartment. She eyed her Soul Gem almost as if a curiosity. The source of her malaise was the soulgem.

"So that's a witch, huh?" She could feel it in her bones. "well then, I was getting tired of browsing anyway." She said to herself as she squirmed herself out of her bed, looking at the hour. 3 am. Night antics, that sounded half bad. She hadn't transformed since her wish had been granted, so she decided to give it a shot. The dress was a bit clingy, though. But she had learned the trick to affix the soul gem firmly in the process. She deftly slided the window open, looking at the metallic wires that were controlled by her gloves.

"I'm supposed to fight with this, huh." Well, there was a thing she could attempt. She stretched...

"SPIDER DARIYA, WEEEE!" She giggled as she used the wires and her newly regained acrobatics to swing gracefully through the buildings. And then something caught her attention. She wasn't alone in the hunt, it seemed? Maybe it caught her attention, because she spectaculary messed up, and ended up hung upside down, her own wires wrapping her like some sort of half-baked coccoon tangle hanging down from one of the tallest buildings.

"Um, little help here?" She pleaded.
@AtomicNut Okay but I love you because I was going to start foreshadowing in a couple more replies, once everyone was a bit closer, but Circe legit just started it. 11/10.

While she doesn't stand this new batch, she's not that cruel to let kids be killed by their own stupidity at playing with forces they do not comprehend.
Short post, blagh.
Circe eyed the young man sagely. Her hand reflexively went up to her chin as she took in the information with a slight frown, a tiny bobbing nod in acknowledgement. <"Thank you."> She said as she helped herself to grab the map once again. That had been helpful. The old witch thought for a second, as she folded the map and bid her goodbye. She started to walk away with firm pace, but no sooner she had walked five steps, her eyes drifted around to the gathered group, specially the one she assumed to be the leard.

"An advice for an advice, o young ones." She said in perfect English. "Do not invoke the gods needlessly. For their wills are unfathomable and fickle." She added as once again she turned her back on the group, her goal set to negotiate the purchase of her island once again. She was a little short of time...

Math is awesome, but the real love is in Physics.

VS

Yeah. I'll go with Physics over Writing.
@Regitnui
Oh definitely. Writing is way better than Math. That was never in question.

No it is not. As much as I like to poke fun at maths, they are better than writing. Science ftw.
