My issue with GMing is once the novelty of the new idea wears off, I have no idea what to do next, and everyone is looking at me to progress the narrative.

I still haven’t watched TLOK. It’s on my long list of shows and movies to binge.

Bio

Gay, he/him, Autistic

I’m Crimson Flame and I’m addicted to RPing. But sometimes ADHD kicks in, and it takes me longer to reply to things than it should. If I’m taking too long to respond, feel free to say something. Just don’t be rude about it.

There are a bunch of RPs I like. Pokémon, Digimon, Fantasy, Superhero, it would take too long to list them all. I’m not a fan of Horror or Apocalypse settings though.

I have a particular type of character I like making. Look through my Character Sheet thread, and see if you notice what a lot of my characters have in common.

Work harder. I just got a post in at the last minute

@Remram

When the Petilil simply shook off Aurelia Rose’s Fairy Wind, Valerian frowned. “Oh. Oh, you’re sturdier than you look.”

The Petilil let out a cry, then glowed. It actually seemed to get a little bigger. The Rotom Phone and helpfully chimed in and explained that Petilil use Growth.

Valerian scowled. “Thank you, I can see that.”

Before he could even finish the thought, the Petilil aimed its leaf straight at Aurelia Rose and unleashed a beam of red energy, and Valerian’s eyes widened.

“Dodge!” he called instinctively, and Aurelia darted upward with a surprised flutter. The energy beam just grazed her lower wing, and she spiraled back with a distressed chirp.

Valerian scowled. “So, you want to make this a proper battle, do you?” He straightened his coat, flicked an imaginary speck of dust from his sleeve, and pointed sharply. “Aurelia Rose, respond a another Fairy Wind! Keep your distance. We have standards to maintain.”

The Cutiefly buzzed, and whipped up another gust of magical wind, sending petals and loose leaves scattering around them.

This was Valerian’s first test as a real trainer, and he was not about to let himself be outmaneuvered by this.

Eeep, I still have to post!
@Crimson Flame I don't suppose you could up the brightness on the blue text? It's a lil hard to read is all

Done. Is that better?
And posted. I hope I didn’t ruin anybody’s plans.

And if I did, it would be in character anyway.
Eli Reyes/Spellbound

Location: Bank

Eli levitated and ran to where the bank was. He’d managed to get there in record time, even if he’d nearly crashed into a neon sign on the way. He was out of breath by the time he reached a rooftop that was overlooking the bank. “Okay, okay, I’m here,” he whispered to himself, bent over with his hands on his knees. “No one’s exploded yet. That’s a good sign.”

He peeked over the edge, eyes widening at the smoke billowing from the broken skylight. The stench of burning bills hit his nose. “Okay, Reyes. This is it. Big hero moment. Do not panic. Do not explode. First, assess the situation.”

He glanced down at his notebook, thumbing through half-formed spell notes. “Fire guy, hostages, money burning, possibly another super on the scene?” He caught a glimpse of a woman in a white mask in a nearby office building, aiming something that looked suspiciously like a weapon at the bank’s interior.

“Okay, Reyes, you’re not losing this one. You’re a hero. Or at least… you’re trying to be.” He took a deep breath, whispered a “Aye dios mio. Por favor, don’t screw this up” under his breath, and flew into the bank, dropping in through the shattered skylight.

He landed hard, rolled to his feet, and immediately felt his cloak flare up with nervous static. The hostages gasped, and there he was, face to face with a fiery supervillain. Eli swallowed. His pendant glowed. He had one shot to make this not a complete disaster.

“Hey!” he called, trying not to sound like his voice was breaking. “You want a real bonfire, buddy? Try picking on someone your own voltage!” As he shot out a jolt of blue lightning from his hands aimed at the villian. He immediately regretted every word that left his mouth.

@Stern Algorithm @DracoLunaris
I have to get Eli there before things get crazy.
I’m in two Digimon RPs already. What’s one more? :P
Siku
Southern Water Tribe

While everyone was bowing down to the fake Avatar, Siku and his family made a run for it.

“We shouldn’t be doing this,” Sokka whispered. His fists were clenched, and he held on to his boomerang like his life depended on it. “Running isn’t going to fix anything. We should fight him. We should—”

“No,” Siku cut in, voice harsher than he felt. “We can’t face him yet. He’s… wrong. Something about him isn’t natural. If we try to take him on now, we’ll lose.”

For a moment, Siku thought Sokka might argue, might turn back and charge at the imposter with nothing but anger and a boomerang.

But then Katara grabbed Sokka’s wrist. “He’s right. We can’t help anyone if we’re dead. We have to live to fight another day.”

Kya, bringing up the rear, cast a quick glance over her shoulder. “Stay close. Keep quiet. We’ll figure this out, but not here.”

And with that the family made their escape in the snow. The sounds of the other tribespeople echoing behind them.
