Current Euh. It's been a hot minute. Things are rather different for me now, and I don't know how that translates to my presence here.

I don't *think* I'm a bad person. I might be wrong there. I try not to be, even when I screw it up for want of social awareness.

Hello, I am me from the internet. I migrated here from Kongregate's Forum Games Forum, so feel free to look for me there if you wish to follow a career in internet stalking people. (ಠ_ಠ) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

A link to some of my past characters, which I need because static tabs do not take up internet.

Infamous Quotes From People Who Exist

“I really don’t follow how your faith believes its perfectly acceptable to doom 4,000 years plus of sentient beings, on a pre-set path of no escape from sin, just so their descendants can be offered the ‘chance of salvation’ when the god murders its own son.”
~vikaTae

“Don’t be an ass or a pussy, ’lest you get screwed by life. Being a mouth or a hand is somewhat safer, and an eye socket is pretty much sacred in this regard, so always keep a look out.”

Right, I finally got another post out as Nuva. I'm very sorry it took so long to produce, and I'm sorry if it's a bit short and/or badly paced and/or whatever other complaints one may have about it. It's mostly the length I'm concerned about, so.
It seemed the ritual wasn't quite as... ritualistic... as had initially been believed. In fact, upon closer inspection, it looked very much like a ritual wasn't taking place in that room at all. Perhaps elsewhere in the castle, then. However events panned out, Nuva's initial strike had been very successful, one of the wheelmen being taken apart by his attack, whilst the other's axe cracked against the chain of his armour: a heavy enough blow to stagger him and draw his attention, but nothing like enough to cause real damage beyond what would perhaps be a bruise later on, near-black against his already quite dark skin. That said, the man was aiming to bring another blow down upon him, and as Nuva looked past him, it seemed one of his crossbow-wielding friends was aiming to shoot at the Dark Skayleigh past the axe-bearer, and would surely take the shot if the axeman simply died to Nuva's spike. So how, he wondered momentarily, does one take out two birds with one stone?

The answer, of course, is to strike one bird so that it crashes into and brings down the other with it. Codified, in this case, by Nuva bringing his arm-spike round like a club, crashing it into the axe-wielder's gut on the (admittedly spike-covered, though more like knobs from that angle) curve rather than the point, then spinning just a bit further and, propelled by a burst of Khala, using the spike to launch the unfortunate man toward the crossbow bearer, akin to a catapult launching a stone into a castle's wall. With any luck, such a maneuver would keep Nuva behind the closer of the foes as much as possible to avoid being shot at within the short period of execution, whilst also providing a suitably-disabling attack that would let others kill them in their daze, or otherwise ensure they could not continue to threaten anyone else, and allow the half-giant himself to handle some of the other threats in the room more cleanly.
@Wernher That does sound interesting, and again is food for thought. So, uh, I'll need to sleep on the ideas, I think. Repeating Jb's request, any other opinions would be appreciated in helping a decision, folks.
@Wernher

Since you've gotten my attention, any opinions on my prior character proposition, or have Jb and Quinn said everything that needs saying? Keeping in mind that both of their arguments against the proposal are valid, of course.
@Jbcool@Quinntessential Well, I get what you're both saying. As responses, I might propose that the reason he's able to function as a mercenary is that A. he obviously wouldn't have told anybody, and B. the idea would be not letting the daemons in in the first place in sort of the way you proposed, but if it won't work, then whatever, there's plenty of other options. If it helps your understanding of what I was proposing, Quinn, take a look at these. I do like the idea of playing as an unsanctioned witch, though, and I'll give that further thought.
Ohh hey it's a new one of these. Nice. Now, would anyone be upset if I were to take inspiration from Silent Hill for my character? Say, something happened in his childhood that left him badly traumatised, but also opened up a pinhole Warp rift... "in him", for want of a better explanation, that occasionally sucks a small portion of his soul through, forcing him to experience pseudo-hallucinations alongside his real-self as the fragment fights off any daemons which might try to tear open the Warp rift so they can possess him through it. On the plus side, he'd probably be a psyker as a result of the pinhole rift, which... isn't really a plus, let's be fair... ahem.
I am the best procrastinator in existence. Or rather, the worst at posting as frequently as I ought to. Apologies for that, @POOHEAD189; since I need to post more frequently in Mercenaries too, I'll probably be getting on with that soon. "Soon" hopefully being today, but tomorrow at the latest.
It wasn't often that Settionne was stunned by incomparable beauty. However, he'd made an exception for the sister of the Elven queen, for her appearance was as rich as her personality... and the woman herself was gorgeous on top of that, but the loot she had on her was surely priceless! So shocked was he to see such powerful artefacts that he barely paid attention until the image of corpses hung from the walls of a great tower was displayed. One of the towers of Vigilance, from her subsequent words... the last one. Now desecrated beyond repair. That would probably suck for everybody else.

And then golds and jewels were mentioned. A lot of them. Regardless of what the quest itself was- something to do with Dark Elves and Vampires, a proposition that he wasn't quite fond of but had no reason to assume he couldn't deal with or avoid when push came to shove- there was no way he could return to his church having passed up an opportunity like that. Dreadlands, with that much money, he could skip the return and build a full-blown cathedral to Fineki wherever he wanted! Regardless of how much luck he had in that endeavour, he was sure his deity would smile upon him for such a praise-inducing endeavour! Although, it might be wise to gather additional funding for such a project, just in case... oooor just have the Queen set up the construction right here in Riverhope? Why return to the rat-infested streets of Vrettonia when he had a perfectly fantastic city to build in right here? He'd get just as many worshippers for his god, maybe more for the incoming travellers; he'd have no obvious opposition for the role of high priest of such a cathedral, since it seemed Fineki's presence wasn't particularly grand in this location yet; and he certainly wouldn't mind if he spent the rest of his life in this place, beautiful as it was... hmm, choices, choices...

'Well, m'lady,' the priest finally spoke, a polite grin on his face masking his glee at the possibilities presented to him, 'I do have something in mind as far as requests go. But, if it requires that we deal with these, ah, Dark Elves? If we must eliminate them first, then I suppose there is no reason to assume I should not assist in this endeavour to whatever degree I can manage, no? T'would be my honour to help such a stunning individual as yourself, after all, my fairest lady...' he concluded with as much of a bow as he could muster from sitting. Again, "stunning" did not necessarily refer to the lady herself, but he was perhaps overly confident in the security of his own mind, and felt no need to reveal his true opinions about her... equipment.

Well that took long enough once again. And once again, everyone, please continue posting as needed. To @Kafka Komedy specifically, I'll mention that you also need to do some updates in TFoL too, since it's relevant.
'Ho-ho-hoooo,' the punk laughed with a smirk, pushing past Nick to move toward Milo, 'pale-ale over there's got a mouth on him! Well, not a mouth really, more like a lil' tame beak. Not good with words and all, yeah?'

'Er, what was that about talking to me?' Nick pointed out, to which the punk merely waved his hand lazily. 'Yeah, yeah, I'll get back to you. The old man over there seems to be having fun, go chat with him for a bit. I have to deal with the shitstain first.' At this, Nick made as though to point out that the "shitstain" was an abomination against life itself, but paused. On the one hand, he didn't exactly want to let an easily-avoided fight go down just like that, and on the other hand, he had no reason to want either of them alive, never mind stopping them from killing each other. One was a freak: a creature with superhuman abilities the likes of which mankind did not deserve to be subjected to, that the vast majority of people would not, could not, ever know existed for fear of how they'd overreact...

Okay, well, that applied to both of them, but the point stood. For once, it was better if Nick stepped back and let things play out. Whistling with hands in pockets, he sidled over to the green-skinned man, who aside from a fit of coughing seemed... rather pleased. He wondered if that had anything to do with being rather badly injured by an invisible ghost of some sort.

'So... sir,' Nick started somewhat awkwardly, 'you seem to be slightly injured. I'll just go ahead and help fix that, and maybe you can talk to me about what brings you here, the sort of thing you do for a living and all that.' Nick had no illusions about being able to cure whatever that green stuff was with the Ripple, but physical injury was well within his means: placing both hands on the man's chest, he began to breathe steadily, sending the energy through the man's body to knit together flesh and bone. He wondered, as he glanced back at the soon-to-be melee, which out of the punk and the vampire would die first.

'Well, now, you short fuckin' bitch,' the punk lambasted whilst licking his teeth, 'sounds like you've got some beef. Or maybe not, I dunno, maybe you had some awful accident and cut off your junk as a kid. Heh. Wouldn't surprise me, if you're tryin' to make up for that with yer personality.' Leeroy spat to one side, 「Courtesy Call」 coming forth once again and punching one fist into the other hand a few times before cracking its knuckles. 'But that's beside the point. My need to chat with Nicky over there is based on a more important discussion than yours, whatever it is, and if you're gonna fight to get a spot, you're gonna end up pretty sore. Nah, I'm lyin'... you're gonna end up a lot sore.' Inexplicably, Jenkins' tone had gone from semi-jovial to deadly serious in a heartbeat halfway through his previous sentence; his grin had been replaced with a rather grim expression. 'Now, I don't know if you can see my 「Courtesy Call」, but even if you can, the fact you haven't shown your Stand off yet kind of says it's not very good in combat. Like your dick in bed, heh... 'hem. So, either you jog on out of here, or I hurt you, real bad. What's it gonna be, shithead?'
