So, uh... what if I were to play as Boris Beatup, an otaku whose tastes have left him nearly impoverished, who acquired a beam katana from an online auction site, and now carries it around with him discreetly, since it folds down into an easily-carried form that isn't necessarily recognisable as a sword and he could be attacked at any time? The drive, naturally, was rather boring. Filled with anticipation for what was to come, most certainly, but boring nonetheless. It was therefore almost a relief to Marcus when they finally arrived at the location, adrenaline pre-emptively pumping through his veins as he listened in on the briefing given to Jessica. Zombies were being stored in shipping containers, were let free and killed a worker, and are now spreading all over the warehouse. Shoot them until they stop moving. Cake.

The worst part would be the civilians, though. If they got in the way at some point... well, if Silver FMJ rounds could pop a zombie's skull, he'd hate to see what they did to a regular human's head. And Jessica had just announced that breach time was closing in... hrm. His specialty was by no means charisma. Still, he made an effort: to the civilians nearest him, he simply said 'You should leave the area, as we cannot otherwise guarantee your safety in the near future,' repeating himself as necessary whenever more came close.

'Yeah, both of us at once,' Ketsu elaborated, 'let's see what we can do to her if we work together.' Apparently, Mika had chosen to chat with the woman running the counter whilst her boyfriend was out with Grant... and from the look she had on her face as he approached, Himehana was already getting excited. Or, maybe it was left over from her conversation with the shopkeeper. Either way.

'Why, hello there, Miss Himehana-san,' Ketsu greeted her cordially, bowing politely as he mixed the prefixes and suffixes of two different languages together. Multiculturalism or something, his mother was always interested in that. 'Or should I say Mrs. Himehana-san, if you're lucky enough to have married your partner already? I couldn't help but notice you chatting to my associate and superior officer, a Mr. Grant... Wesley.' Bugger, he'd nearly forgotten the guy's surname. He hoped his mental slipup wasn't too obvious.

'And, well,' he continued, putting a bit more surety and suaveness into his voice to cover his hesitation, 'I supposed that if he is willing to engage in conversation with a... well, they don't call you "Flower Princess" for nothing, beauteous as you evidently are - then reasonably, I ought to talk to you as well, to see what caught his interest so - though I say again, that is perhaps as obvious as your great fame.' And yet he had no idea what any of her songs were about. T'was never his interest to listen to music save in passing, let alone J-pop.

'If you don't mind me introducing myself, I am Bisuto Ketsu. I'm sure my friend here is more than able to take credit for herself, if she so wishes,' he concluded, glancing over to Yuno to confirm his words. Or, if not, then whatever worked for her. It hardly mattered either way; the goal wasn't to make friends, but to see just how intensely the idol reacted to flirtatious behaviour when simple conversation apparently got her going rapidly. If nothing else, it'd perhaps give him an idea of how well his facade of humanity was holding up.

'I mean, I guess you could put it like that... but it's still kind of sad, isn't it?' he lamented, glancing over toward Grant and his new "friends" to see Himehana flailing her hands... had Grant caused that? 'I mean, really, imagine just a guy playing a two-person game by himself in his apartment, right? Heh... uh?'

...was she shaking? What on Earth... had he said something that upset her? Well... maybe he'd accidentally implied that him playing chess by himself was awful, and thus her stacking Jenga blocks was worse still? Shit, that wasn't a good start if so. Much as he didn't feel a need to especially impress anyone at his own rank, he also didn't want to burn his bridges in case they ranked up quickly. But, maybe it was unrelated, too... best to ask.

'Hey, Yu?' he asked quietly, snapping her out of her moment just as Grant began walking outside. She openly wondered if Grant was doing alright, apparently completely insensate to her own vibrations. Perplexing... and something to consider in the future.

'Yeah, he's fine. Looks like he's stepping out for a cigarette,' he observed, noting that Grant had asked the redcoat ghoul if he wanted to join him too. Not necessarily a smart move, if they began fighting and the First Class Investigator was caught off-guard. In the meantime, if redcoat accepted, Ms. Himehana would be on her own... oh, that'd be humorous. Probably not worth it, but humorous nonetheless. His ghoul side pushed him further into making up his mind, albeit for the wrong reasons in context.

'Did you notice how easily Himehana became flustered when chatting to Grant?' he asked his coffee mate with an air of conspiracy, pointing to the idol in question even as her partner accepted Grant's request and followed him outside. 'Let me ask you something: if even Grant can catch her attention, how do you think she'd respond to our respective charms?' Taking a bit of a swig from his drink now that it had begun cooling properly, he stood up, motioned for Yuno to follow him, and began to stroll casually, leisurely even, in the Flower Princess' direction. Indeed, this might be a chance to try and figure out what she saw in the ghoul, too. That wasn't a partner one took on the spur of the moment, after all. Unless it was, in which case...

Marcus: Standard Assault

So, if we're going by that order, we'd want Heigo and Austin to go first to breach, followed by William, then Andrew, then everyone else, and then we can continue to post in that order. I believe that would mean we want @CaptainBritton and @Daglobster to post before anyone else, if we're going by this setup for this round, though I imagine we'd want @Lady Selune to confirm that that's doable before anything else.
