Just a small, fragile birdboy with a huge beak. I used to be Manapool, but we don't talk about those days. I have been here a while if you couldn't tell.
In all honesty, I am 25 and in a committed relationship outside of roleplay. I work as a cook who works nights. I'm a big fan of seeing people's food they make and learning about new foods if you ever want to share. I enjoy tabletop games, card games, and video games as well as reading comics in my spare time. Your typical nerd, you might even find me at conventions!
Most of the time I stick to Superhero groups and Play by post D&D here. I have admittedly begun taking far fewer rps. I prefer Fantasy and Superheroes as a genre but I find myself more and more interested in interested in Sci-fi settings too! My main fandoms are Fallout, Kenshi, and Marvel but I have a lot of niche interests like Hylics, Neopets, and Monster High. Do you have a strange fandom you want to rp? I am the kind to at least take a look at the source material!
These days I am closer to a low to mid Casual roleplayer. I want at least a paragraph from replies and don't mind dipping lower than casual if it fits the flow better. I am capable of writing decent long posts but expect me to take eons to reply. I also must warn you that I tend to lose a lot of steam in the winter months.

@Vampiretwilight We really didn't have much of a well put together starting point. I described 'dusty hills' and 'flat badlands' in my post yet Karamon found my character after describing a forest. We didn't start close to each other and now we are paying for it. Here are my suggestions for what may be a good idea for you:
1. have your character decide to go on a walk/break and encounter us
2. have your character out looking for pokemon and encounter us
3. Wait for us to get to a gym and say it is your own

@Spike I can see that. Love the character, thank you for actually being from the town. I do want to say this about the gadgets: Be aware that no one else was given any additional powers and as I stated, I don't intend to give out much more in terms of abilities. The same would go for gadgets. You probably won't be making many more items like that for a long time.
Concerning the items themselves, I'd like to make the point that somewhere such as deep in a cave where there is no light as opposed to at night where it's dark, I'd assume the darkvision on his eye wouldn't be able to see in complete darkness. It is, after all, without any light to pass into his retina. Additionally, be aware that there will be a finite amount of ammunition for the weapon. Even nuclear fission, one of the most dramatic surges of power, have a limit. Considering it's a handheld and prototype weapon, I'd assume it's not exactly the highlight of ammunition storage.
That in mind, I'd approve this character. If any of this at all obstructs your plans then I apologize but I'm going to stay pretty firm on this (unless the other players disagree with my verdict).

Ezra tilted the bottle of water back and drank it with startling speed. He handed the nearly empty bottle back to the girl as he huffed and puffed. Wiping his mouth with a satisfied sigh, he listened to the girl with interest in her pokemon. The explanation was a bit dull but it wasn't like a nice young lady like her to have some wild tale like he'd want to hear.
"Well, that's pretty neat. I happen to be a pokemon trainer too, ya'know. Maybe one day we could battle or something" He said eagerly with a large, encouraging smile. It vanished when his eyes went back down to the tiny Happiny before him.
"One day" He added again, this time a bit quieter.
"Anyway, the names Ezra, and it's always nice to meet a friendly face. Where'ya headed?" He continued, now putting a hand out to shake.@karamonnom

Ezra stopped a few yards away to catch his breath. He took a moment, bent down with his arms on his knees, panting and gasping for air before he responded in an exhausted voice.
"Yes! Water, I can pay you back I promise. I just ran out is all"
His cantine was nowhere to be found, and Ezra quickly recalled that he had left it with his pokemon. Just the though of water was making his mouth dry. As spoke, his eyes slowly drifted to the Happiny with the girl. His head tilted slightly and he stared at it confused.
"That's not a pokemon I've ever seen. Where'd you get that?"
