Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.

Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss

Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)

Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.

Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.

RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...

Last RP I finished was Symphony of Espers which turned out pretty good.

RP's in progress:
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.

As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.

RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.

And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.

Other interests:
Videos
I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.

Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.

Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...

Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.

Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.

People to Insult:
Dalton is a Dingus.

Jezebel folded her arms behind her back and turned to face Zachary. Due to the fact that their podiums were side by side, They were a confortable speaking distance from each other. Jezebel could probably reach out and touch Zachary if she chose to. “Seriously? Zachary, take a chill pill.” The clown was still smiling. She folded her hands behind her back and pivoted her hips side to side. “You so told me about 'the incident' on the stairs before we saw Marianne's body. But like, why say that you left your arrows in your room? Was the fight you and Geina had that totally bad that you wanted to hide it from everyone?” She turned to everyone else and threw out her hands. “But I know Zachary totally didn't do it. The fact that he took the arrows outside means that everyone had access to them.” She whipped her hand out from behind her back and pointed at Calvin. “You hear that Baldwin #3? Baldwin #1 totally isn't hiding anything! And we can't confirm that you're not lying to save that zlint ass of yours!”

“Um, wow!” Bliss started tapping the top of the podium with her hands. “Alright, so if Marianne was going to Shaun's room to discuss her note, it sounds like the motive notes might have held something incriminating against the killer.” She nodded and turned to face Killgood. “Could you put the light on them?”

Monokuma let out a tired sigh. “Let's just wait for the authors of those letters to show themselves and move them around. This was there motive after all.”

”We're late! We fuckin' aren't! Sigh. Tee-hee! The queen is here!”

All four carnage sisters charged into the room on horseback, weaving around the infinites.

”Just for simplicity's sake, we're going to put everyone's notes up on the jumbotron.” Willow announced most pleased with herself. ”We will display the notes, as well as who currently holds them.” the doll giggled. “We made one note for each infinite in this killing game, save Aleecia. And because these notes took the place of your gifts, you can rest assured that no one received a note that described themselves.”

“So like.” Jez cave the robot a sideways glance. “Could you also display who opened their notes prior to arriving in the court?”

”Hmm.” Willow scratched her head. ”I could, but as the queen-”

“Do as she says before you embarrass the Killgood name further.”

”Y-yes!” And so, everyone presented their motive notes. As soon as they laid them out on their podium, they could see a large monitor light up with their name, if the note had been opened or not, and what the note actually read:

ICE (OPEN)
They use a bow almost every day, but they are not an archer.

BRADEN (OPEN)
They have half as many eyes as a spider.

NOEL (OPEN)
They won't stop writing, despite all the fighting.

KRISTA
They still miss their phone.

CALVIN (OPEN)
They don't need an umbrella.

ALICE (OPEN)
They see the world through a camera's eye.

FELIX
Their flesh is a bit dark.

CYRUS
They're like a cat in more ways than one.

DAIMYON
They are the closest thing to a detective.

MARY
They see half as much as everyone else.

MAX
This dude looks like a lady.

CAORA
Their nose isn't really THAT long.

BLISS
They hide behind a mask, though not a conventional one.

MERCY
Is a voice for their non-living friends.

ZACHARY
If they give too much, they could die.

JEZEBEL
They wear an apron, but are useless in a kitchen.

“Trippendicular...” Jezebel fret her brow. “But it looks like two notes are missing.” She turned to look at Shaun. “Did you forget to bring your note, or was that the one Baldwin #4 found?”
@PlatinumSkink I don't really see Sue doing anything more than watching in horror as Sky Bastion slamms into the earth. You can do whatever you were gunna do.

As for this "mega collab": If the entire RP is going to be in one collab, it might be more organised to do many smaller collabs or let everyone post as usual. there's no way we're going to get everyone online at the same time.

I think the issue I'm having with Shannon is she isn't that dynamic at the moment. I need to sort out what I want to ultimately do with her.

She doesn't have a lot of connections, and hasn't contributed in anything as of late. Talking with the bates was a good start, but now she needs to get invested in what everyone else is doing.

@t2wave
She does have that relationship with Lily that could be explored by learning about the kidnapping; would she care enough to go after her?

?@Majoras End
You gonna get assassinated
But real talk, I support the unification of Penrose. As for time, it's going to be conveniently dramatic, so as long as everybody's feeling pressured it's fine,@Shifter_Master

"What if this isn't the end of something, but just the beginning?
@t2wave If you want Shannon to say something else, you can have her follow the Bates into the hall. But I get the feeling that things are going to start moving again, and it might be better to continue their meeting later.

Also, I was kind of hoping our spy would continue spying on us. that would have been very interesting. : C
And there we go, ship scene finished.
Helga was disappointed in herself. Her first day with her new powers and nothing went quite the way she had expected. While she was glad she was able to defend Amber for as long as she did, Helga was ultimately unable to contribute much to her lady. She knew Amber would likely forgive her, but Helga still felt like she needed to do something for the pirate captain.

“Maybe Amber will let me treat her to some pizza later? I wonder what toppings she likes? Or why not something more fitting of candle light?”

The fighting may have been over, but Helga was still alert. Like a gorilla climbing a tree, she used her long arms to pull herself up the tallest building. She wanted to get a better look at the ship in the sky. It had flown higher into the air, and it was impossible to tell what the situation was like aboard. But maybe if Helga was just a bit closer, she could see something.

Once she arrived at the top, Helga noticed small shapes leaping off of the ship. None of them looked like Amber, and she doubted they were retreating. Helga squatted as low as her body would allow her and sprung into the air, flying towards the ship like a cannon ball. The monster girl swung one of her arms in front of her and fired a sonic pulse. The side of the ship exploded moments before Helga landed. Fortunately her hearing was extremely keen, and she was able to pick up the sound of Amber's heartbeat rather quickly.

“Amber! Amber!” Helga charged towards her lady like a silver back gorilla.

“Eh?” The pirate girl started to stand up. “Helga?!” Amber shook her head. “I'm not even going to ask, Sky Bastion isn't going to be in the air much longer, we gotta-” In a single motion, Helga swept Amber onto her shoulder and charged up onto the deck. She heard another sound and didn't know if it was a hostile or not.

“Tincan!” Helga's body tensed up at the sight of Penny, but then she remembered that the situation had changed drastically since the last time they met. It would probably be for the best if she didn't fully recognize her for the moment. “So um, I don't know what's going on, but we should probably jump for it.”

“No!” Amber pointed back inside the ship. “There's still time, we can find the bomb and disarm it!”

Helga let out a sigh. She very badly wanted to believe Amber, but she knew the girl wasn't thinking straight. “Alright Amber, I'm going to jump on one, two...”

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Not long after the remaining people aboard Sky Bastion dove off, a large explosion erupted from the bowls of the mighty ship. Sky Bastion was not easy to destroy, and the explosion did little visible damage. However, the turbines were billowing black smoke, and the back end of the ship seemed to be sinking. It wasn't long before the rest of the ship started to sink too, almost like the ship was sinking in the air. But it wasn't just sinking, it was starting to fall. Slowly at first, but it picked up speed quickly. Everyone on the ground had time to get out of the way from the falling ship before it smashed into the ground. The ship was concealed under a cloud of dust. While it couldn't be seen, the defining sound of metal being crushed under Sky Bastion's weight could be heard by all. Wood splinters and debris were kicked into the air, and flew out of the smoke cloud like shrapnel. When the smoke finally cleared, Sky bastion was still largely intact. But the turbines were completely ruined, and there was a crack going all the way through the massive ship. Amber approached the ship weakly, falling to her knees before she could really get very close to it.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” She screamed into the heavens. After her little bout of despair, she pulled her hat over her face.

“Um.” Helga approached Shining Scale “D-did you notice I cleaned up the place?”

Amber let out a long, eternal sigh. “Yea” She nodded, still keeping her face covered. “You did a good job.”

Relatively simple, all thing considered.

Well, the loss of the ship wouldn't hold them back too badly. Fate had a way of course correcting small inconveniences like this. Things would have been far worse if Amber had died before the ship could get everyone to where they had to go. Was her help really needed in that regard? who knew. Silhouette was likely carefull enough to avoid killing the pirate tyke, but Prime? Different story.

Regardless, it was probably prudent that she rest up and make sure that she took the ship into the overcity. She wouldn't get many chances to do so in the future.

The Bates and Shannon talked a bit about their past adventures. The most notable thing that Shannon learned from the bates was their belief that Justine's forces were weak to words of encouragement. Specifically the word love. Shannon managed to avoid revealing that she worked with Beacon on occasion. That didn't seem like a great thing to bring up with two monster kids, both of which seemed a bit unstable. That was when a loud crack and crash were heard, one right after the other.

“Curious...” Regina transformed back into a human. “Thank you for your time Shannon. We'll meet you here later , but for now Elroy and I have other business to attend to.”

“We do? I mean yes!” Elroy picked up his shield. “When I get back, I want to see a two-thousand word essay on how excellent our costumes are, scarf girl. Not may people get to see how wonderful they are unless they fight us.” He chuckled.

And then they left Shannon in her room. She was alone.
Monokuma patiently watched the infinites debate and reason amongst themselves, until Shaun called out to Krista for his handbook.

“Oh, this reminds me.” The bear's ears perked up. “Alice and I were very displeased with you animals last time. So we thought up some rules to keep you all in line.”

20. Violence against a fellow patient is not tolerated in the court of carnage.

21. Indecent exposure in the court of carnage is not tolerated.

22. Stage diving or moving away from your podium in the court of carnage is only permitted when the dive light shines on you.

“And without further ado...” A soft light shined down on krista. When she moved, the violinist noticed that it hovered over her position.

Jezebel was giggling to herself. “Like, you really don't need a conduit with the buzzer's current set up and junk. Just touching the wires together is enough to create a spark. You totally wouldn't want to use a metal arrow though.” With a deep breath, her giggling seemed to calm down. “Like, those wires are at most a size twelve? And those arrows are a lot bigger? If you were going to use a 'conduit', you'd totally want to use something smaller than the wire. Say, some steel wool or some junk.” She turned to Braden, who inquired about the buzzer. “It's so simple. Like, the two wires connect to two metal plates, and during a hand shake, you complete the circuit.” her grin widened. ”Like, Marianne was a sour puss french woman, so I made it my goal to cheer her up. One day I met her by the entrance to her room before breakfast. I shook her hand with one of these though and she totally slammed the door in my face.” Jez sighed. “I did manage to hand one to her later as a peace offering, but she so wasn't talking to me after that.”

Bliss lowered her head.”That sounds exactly right. The arrows were hollow, so a few of them probably would bend a little if they were used as a club.”

Dr Killgood was outraged. “A club made out of arrows? How unoriginal! Junko did it first!”

“It sounds correct, but I'm not sure we can call it 'exactly' correct.” Ice had his arms folded. “There are exactly twenty-four arrows. I believe the killer might have had a full quiver of arrows. That would also hold them together tightly enough to be used as a club.

Bliss looked up at Ice. “We didn't find a quiver, did we?”

“It might have burnt up in the fire, the killer might have emptied it out and discarded it elsewhere, but I'm sure the killer had access to a full quiver of arrows.” Ice fret his brow and looked towards Zachary. “Where do you keep the arrows Calvin made for you?”

Bliss started to count her fingers. “Okay, so the arrows were used to knock her out, and the buzzer was used to start the fire. We'll probably never know exactly what was used with the buzzer, but there was a lot of dry linen around that could have been used. And Jezebel suggested steel wool, but would the killer think to use that?” Bliss looked around the court. “Do we know anything else?” She looked at Mary. While Alice, Mercy, and Daimyon had been pretty quiet, Mary looked the most upset. “Are you okay Mary? Can you think of anything?”
I approve of this.
looks like the goal of your system is to make it so that events like a long ass fight don't hold up the entire RP. The problem with this system is that it requires the players to know exactly how long an event is going to take, what is going to happen during the event, etc. I'll use your time stamp example.

Character A and character B are fighting. A thinks it's going to be a sizable brawl, so he writes that wen the event ends, the bar is going to be a mess. But then Player B goes down in a single punch, or maybe B simply retreats outside instead of sticking around to fight. Player C would be misinformed and subsequent players would walk into an area that shows evidence of a bar brawl where a bar brawl never happened. And if the bar brawl did happen, it's still a nightmare for player C to enter the area because they don't know what exactly happened. They might spend several posts trying to retrace the events of the fight, only to realize that character B was knocked out by the doorway and probably would have been spotted much sooner.

If players want to create an isolated event, they can collab it. This keeps the event inside a single post and lets everyone know what happened. If people insist on having brawls in important locations. Find a way to bring the important event to the players. Character D might need to see an informant in the bar. Character A and B's fighting scared the informant into running outside. And so now, character D can run into the fleeing informant. Now D's story can progress while the bar brawl continues.
Well, I can say half of the collab is done. in particular, Tsundery and my half.

Man, I really like google docs. Wonder if meetingwords is ever going to come back.
