i'll find some way to get aya to the mayor's office too, though she's still a civilian lol. idk how much she'll actually help but her power's useful.
a note about characters, there've been comments on maybe reexamining power levels in this rp, and exactly how powerful A ranking characters are compared to S or SS. so i'll be taking another look at the different characters and seeing if anyone needs to change their ranking or weaken their characters. this'll likely take a while to do, so stay tuned. i'll tell people if they need to edit via pm.

@Nytefall metas have been out in the open for five years or so, but have only existed for maybe a decade longer. This would apply to your character too.
@Weird Tales I'm gonna say at this stage no, you're not allowed to kill your characters just to make room for a new one. Later on if people want to kill off their characters that's fine, but please don't switch out characters like that on a whim when you've barely even had a chance to use the ones you already have.
Also just to make sure everyone's clear with what's going on now, the underground has their orders for their three places to hit. Everyone else can position themselves places to make it easier to get in on the action once the baddies are all set up. (Only if you want, of course. If you have ideas for other things you'd rather have your characters do, then by all means.)

@chinesedroneUnless anyone has any objections that they think need to be taken into consideration, Jason Bao is accepted. Just make sure that you actually use the weaknesses you've given when playing him, yeah? Other than that, he looks pretty solid. Looks like you already dropped him in the cs tab anyway.
@nytefall For Cain, the first issue is that metas have only been around what, 10-15 years? So his immortality can't have been in effect for longer than that. I think maybe also make the limitations of his regeneration clearer/stronger? Idk make what edits you think need to be done and then run it by me again.
@the slenderman For shadowfire it kinda seems like she was made for a different rp and then put into this one instead. This isn't inherently a bad thing. My character Aya was originally in an xmen rp. You just have to make sure that you edit the character to make sure she fits with the lore and tone of this one. Right now she seems very magical and out of place, and your cs raises more questions about her than it answers. Who was shadowfire's sister in the context of this and why did she kidnap them? What exactly does her alternate form do? Where did the dragon wings come from? Her powers aren't clearly defined with their strengths and limitations either. Please make appropriate edits and run it by me again.

@Weird Tales merc characters are wildcards by nature, so you can drop then anywhere the plot's going on and do whatever makes sense for the character. whether they eventually choose to side with one group or the other is entirely up to you.
also just want to let everyone know that progress is being made right now and we're sorry for the wait! the timeskip posts should be up soon, and then the plot will be in full gear, with a few different scenarios to pick and choose from for where you want to throw your characters.

ooooh sounds cool so far. so kinda like a boggart idea? that sounds interesting, but it means you're gonna have to be mostly reactive and waiting for other people to tell you what to turn into all the time, unless i'm totally misinterpreting this. i'm probably misinterpreting this. oh wait so instead of boggart would it be just growing in general via fear rather than turning into the object of fear? that would be easier for you to work with probably. also would his transformation be permanent each time, or would there be some sort of reset button/cool down period for him to revert to normal person size/shape (which i personally think would be the better call)? also he'd need some way to initiate the fear. i mean, if you have people like aya who are easier to scare and have more support oriented powers, then sure it'll be pretty easy to overpower them and take advantage of their fear, but people like sebastian or edge? good luck. i guess the thing to do would be to 'level grind' on the weaker characters first before going for the boss battles. idk, i might be completely off the mark with all this. that's always a very real option. i'm really digging the horror movie vibe so far, though.
