Plain humans are alright. They're most likely going to bit a bit under powered however.If you want to look up different canon races and come up with your own backstories for them I recommend the Dragon Ball Wiki. As far as I know there isn't a fanon wiki for fanon DBS races. I may be wrong though.

I am a big fan of DBZ but have zero knowledge of any fan works or fan made races. But like I would be interested in this. So my question is like how much knowledge of these fan works is required and where can I get it?
I meant you could create a race if you wanted to. :) As long as it's not super overpowered you are good.
So this is an idea I've been throwing around for quite a while and I think it's finally ready to be put into Roleplay Form.
Without revealing too many details, the general premise is that your character is one of the well known or fan made created races somewhere in the Dragon Ball Multiverse. Either the world, galaxy or entire universe where your character resided was completely destroyed with nothing left or was hit by some other sort of disaster. Only your character alone survived.
A woman claiming to be the Supreme Kai of Time rescued your character just before the end claimed your world/galaxy/multiverse and has informed you that other versions of your character are being hunted across the Dragon Ball Multiverse. Entire Universes are being destroyed as this is going on and the Kais have no idea who or more disturbingly what is behind this tragedy on a universal scale.
For this Rp, I'm throwing out the idea of there being only 12 universes. They are many different parallel universes in this RP. Also, no Zeno, no Angels and No Gods of Destruction. That would mess a few things up in the plot line.

I'm allowing transformations up to Super Saiyan level 2 as starting transformations. Your characters may have seen some action before their universes were destroyed. You don't have to start at Super Saiyan 2 though. Kaio-ken is also allowed to be used as a technique. If you want to come up with a fan made transformation for a fan made race you are more then welcome to. Just keep it sensible.
If you decide to create an alternate version of your character, it will most likely be an NPC. You don't need to create a detailed character sheet for the NPC character mostly because it's most likely going to be dead very soon after encountering it xD When I say something is hunting your characters and their alternate selves, I mean it.
There will be room for future transformations up to Super Saiyan Blue and possibly even Super Saiyan Blue Evolved later on. Fan made transformations are something I will allow, but please run them past me first.

APPEARANCE: Tyros wears a black jacket with red sunglasses while traveling. He doesn't wear a Pokeball around his neck like in the picture. He stands at around 5'11 and is a somewhat imposing figure.
PERSONALITY: To know Tyros is to love Tyros. That phrase mostly applies to his Pokemon however. Despite being an accomplished battler and well recognized Gym Leader in the Galar Region, he isn't the most social person when outside of his Gym. He has grown used to the trainers that help him keep his Gym running and has formed somewhat friendly relationships with them and he is very cordial towards visiting trainers wishing to challenge the gym but outside of that, he just isn't the most social person with other people. He loves his Pokemon unconditionally however and before becoming a Gym Leader was known to travel outside the Galar region to take them on mini-vacations where they could simply enjoy the sights and foods of the different regions. He does make an attempt once in a while to be friendly to new people however it doesn't happen that often.
BIOGRAPHY: Having been born in Spikemuth town, Tyros had a somewhat different upbringing. He never really embraced the punk lifestyle that came with living in the town and as such was ridiculed quite a bit. He eventually gave in a number of months after his ninth birthday and and began doing his best to fit in with how the rest of the citizens expected him to. This went on for a number of months until he began his own Pokemon journey. The first Pokemon he received was an Eevee which after a while evolved into an Umbreon late one night. It was shortly after Eevee evolved that he came to the realization that although he was expected to act like one of the citizens of Spikemuth town, he was under no actual obligation to do so. As he looked down at the newly evolved Umbreon which was staring back up at him with unblinking eyes, he began to think, dark type Pokemon were somewhat misunderstood, at least from what he had seen from a number of people he had met over the last few months.
What was stopping him from making his own team of dark type Pokmeon and showing people they weren't so bad?
And so began Tyros's new journey. He began traveling the Galar region and a few times even visited a few different regions trying to find more information on dark type Pokemon and how people perceived them. It was a long journey and the majority of the time the answers he got from people about how they saw the misunderstood type were not encouraging. a number of people saw them as bad luck or bringers of impending trouble. A few times, he was forced to step in to stop a few superstitious people from actually chasing certain ones off and on one occasion was actually forced to defend from from being injured by an angry trainer that has stumbled across it. The Houndour that he rescued became his second Pokemon and a close friend to his Umbreon. As his travels continued, he rescued a number of Pokemon, some of which he helped find homes for and others he ended up adopting. After nearly a year, he arrived back home in Spikemuth town and challenged the gym leader and after a very difficult battle, was able to pull off a win. It was quite a while after that Tyros was crowned the leader of the Spikemuth Gym Leader. In the time between that first battle with the Gym Leader and his coronation as Gym Leader, his team continued to evolve and grow until he found that not many people would pick a fight with him anymore. It took a while, but he became used to his life as the Gym Leader of Spikemuth town. It was lonely, but as long as he had his Pokemon by his side, he was happy.

On the few occasions he has released Tyranitar from it's Pokeball, it immediately went berserk and began attempting to wreck the gym and the surrounding area. On one occasion he was forced to knock it out before it would return to it's Pokeball. He's hoping one day to find a way to calm it down and either find a trainer who can handle it and give it the love and attention it deserves or find a way for Tyranitar to finally trust him and add it to his team. At the moment, he simply doesn't want to subject the poor thing to unnecessary anger and rage by letting it out of it's Pokeball.
RELATIONSHIPS: Tyros has a somewhat rocky interactions with a few of the other Gym leaders due to his social issues. He often feels that a few of them doubt his ability as a trainer.

Daniela couldn't help but smile at Matt's words. "Got it, Boss." She said with another faint smile. Truth be told, she been growing a bit tired of Ronnie's complaints and rants. She turned to look at her with a small smirk. "Just for the record, I don't think your best use is as bait. Worse come to worse, we can always use you as a distraction if another one of those things comes after us."
Her expression hardened slightly after a moment. "Listen. I don't want anyone getting hurt here. I'm going to do my best to try and protect everyone here but the constant complaints aren't helping. Just please chill out a bit and just do your best to help whatever way you can."

Daniela was busy pouring the electrical attacks on the mechanical wolf as the rest of the team worked on getting the door open. Her eyes were blazing yellow as she continued throwing blast after blast at it. She was about to ask about the status of how her teammates were handling the situation when she realized it was just her and Jasper outside.
She looked over at Jasper and noticed that the Wolf was still coming after them and it seemed somewhat fixated on her for the moment. Okay, it's pissed. I guess it has the right to be a bit angry after what I did to it.
"Okay Snoopy...I think we got off on the wrong foot. I didn't really want to melt your face but you were chasing us." Daniela held her hands up in a sign of surrender as she inched closer closer to Jasper. "Nice mechanical doggy...Good mechanical doggy...I'm pretty sure we can fix your face. All we need is some electrical tape."
She immediately sprang into action as she pushed Jasper towards the door and tried reaching the relative safety of the inside as well. She was prepared to grab Jasper and pull her along if she had to do so. She fired a last rather intense blast at the wolf.
"Bye Snoopy!"

"You guys might want to work on the door and just an FYI, it's gonna get a bit uncomfortable temperature wise around me awhile. Don't worry though, I'll keep Snoopy here busy." Daniela growled as she launched a massive electrical blast directly at the beast's head and followed it up with another rapid series of blasts that slammed into it's front legs.
She narrowed her eyes at the Mechanical wolf and grinned mockingly at it. "Let's dance, Snoopy."
