Titans: Dawn of a New Tomorrow

My questions on character creation are:
1) Are Lantern rings acceptable powers?
2) Kids of Supers, Yes or No?
3) Only OC's or are re imagining of established heroes/villains acceptable?

1. Lantern Rings are acceptable as long as they are either blue or green. The explanation of why that is will come in much later.
2. Gonna have to say no. If powers are transferable you can have someone gain the abilities however. I plan on doing a Shazam character sheet at some point as an example.
3. I'd prefer OCs but I am open to re imagining of certain characters.

If you can get through all the rubble and debris pretty much everything is up for grabs minus techniques. Equipment, food, capsules, all sorts of fun stuff. The Time patrollers left quite a bit behind before they turned to ash.

I just want to confirm are we still in the ruins?

Real Name: Viran

Hero Name: Viran

Appearance: There have been no recent sightings of Viran but at last appearance, Viran was around 6'5 with solid green eyes and emerald green skin. He has a number of scars across his face and his left eye has a long cut across it. When last seen he was wearing a black bodysuit with a battered black trench-coat

Sex: Male

Age: 26

Powers: Superhuman Strength, Super-human endurance and durability. Adaptation ability which allows him to adapt to very serious threats when his life is in serious danger or when his body is under severe stress or has been badly damaged.

Personality: Viran has a strong sense of honor and justice and after the Titans disbanded, he spent a long time looking for the genetically engineered Valkorian monstrosities known as War and Death to try and keep the world safe. He feels responsible for the Titans disbanding and once a year tries to reach out to them in an effort to try and reach his former friends and make peace. Before he vanished from the public eye, he often seemed lonely and was sometimes seen in the old Titan's HQ shifting through the debris.

History:

Viran's story began on a remote planet many years ago. Two factions on the planet Valkoris began to battle one another for control of the planet. One sought to keep the planet away from the unwanted attention of some of the more advanced races in the region and the other sought to expand into the stars and conquer those in their way. After nearly ten years of fighting, the militant faction emerged victorious and immediately set their sights on the stars. Unknown to the militants, what few scientists remained had managed to create a number of genetically modified infants that were capable of great strength and could most likely turn the tide of any battle once they had grown up. The militants learned of the existence of the infants and managed to capture three of them with only Viran escaping from the war torn planet, being launched into space in a makeshift spacecraft.

Viran had landed on a planet a number of light years from Earth and had grown up among the inhabitants before deciding to search the stars for others of his kind, unfortunately for him, the ship he had used was shoddy and barely managed to hold together when it passed by Earth and Viran was forced to land

Viran arrived on Earth and immediately did his best to help out people in need. He was part of the original Titans of Second City and was one of those who did his best to fight off a militant faction of his own people in one of their first adventures. As more and more time passed, he grew more comfortable on Earth and even entered into a few relationships but over time they failed. He spent nearly a decade on Earth before the Titans disbanded and he alone was left to defend the city. He considers himself the last Titan and knows that no matter how much he wishes it, he most likely won't see his friends again anytime soon.

Equipment: Valkorian battle armor that is only used in emergencies.

You may want to let the good folks in your interest check know you've opened up the OOC. They seemed to have missed its premier. For my interest, how do you intend to open the roleplay? Will it start with Viran recruiting new members, or will we be starting as a newly formed team? Or something else entirely?

Viran will be recruiting them as they arrive in Second City or pass through it. If they wish to work with him then they will have access to resources the original Titans had but in all honesty, there aren't many resources left.

@Chev What's the age range you're looking for? I know there Teen Titans, but are you going 13 - 19 or are you wanting something more specific?

Hey another interested person here. I read in the interest check that this will be a mostly original world, with some DC elements. I was wondering how much that will play into the roleplay. The character I'm thinking of would have a similar power set to Blue Beetle, in that he gets powers from an alien artifact. If that character concept doesn't work let me know and I can come up with something else.

It is a DC world but many of the DC comic heroes such as Superman, Batman and the others have either retired, been killed or have vanished. It's mostly original characters at this point.

It's been eight years since the events of Teen Titans: A New Era. The Titans have all gone their separate ways as their differences have divided the team and new foes have risen from the shadows to challenge them across the world. As of now, Viran is the last remaining member of the Titans remaining in Second City, he hasn't been seen in person for nearly two years but he makes his presence known to the few remaining criminal elements in the city. The genetically modified tyrants War and Death no longer plague the world and for the most part, Second City is relatively safe. Crime still exists but meta-human crime is nearly unheard of at this point. The Valkorian colonists have shared various technologies with the people of earth and as such the quality of life has improved for many people.

Despite the overall peaceful setting of Second City, rumors persist through the underbelly of the city that mysterious figures have been seen haunting the darkest parts of the city at night. A number of powerful industrialists and various geneticists have disappeared through the last few months and the police seem to be unable to handle the situation. Rumors persist that calls to the original Titans have gone unanswered and that whatever this approaching crisis is, it may be too much for the single remaining Titan to handle.
