Sorry for my absence! A Volunteering position suddenly turned into a Volunteer Leadership position I was not expecting at all so things have been hectic.

Look at you posers, having to bang dragons or sell your soul for magic when you could just play a lute for some. Anyways, here's Wonderwall. - Bards

Everyone knows that if there's someone you don't like in an RP/Int Check, its less likely you'll join. On the flip side to that however, do/have you ever join an RP/Int Check because there's someone you like in that RP or does their presence not affect you at all and is just an added bonus.
@wxps350It feels like that the Dark Elves and the Beastmen might honestly get along, at least on some points, they still want to kill you damn pointy ears tho

Display Name:
Jester

Ephithet:
<<Circus Master>>

Alignment:
Wolfpack (Unofficially, Jester is really a lone agent who happens to like Wolfpack more than the Brotherhood)

Age appearance:
26

RP Speech Color:
Silver

Weapon(s):
<<Grasp of Abhorash>> - An unique unarmed claw weapon on Jester's right hand, it does a good amount of bleeding damage as well as heals Jester upon a successful kill. Received as a loot reward for the hidden <<Necromancer Abhorash Von Karstein>> mini-boss that Jester both found and killed with the help of his Breaker.

<<Vivace Sonata>> - Also known as "whistling knives" due to the sound they make in flight, these throwing knives are known for both flying very quick, being able to be thrown in rapid succession and going absolutely fucking everywhere. They are supposed to be homing enchanted but the item itself is bugged which makes many players avoid it thus making it very cheap. Jester likes them since it allows him to fuck with people from afar as they can hear the whistling sound but not know where it comes from, or where it lands.

Skill Slots:
  • <<Acrobatics>> - What kind of circus would it be without acrobats?
  • <<Blade Throwing>> - Knife throwers are always a classic.
  • <<Martial Arts>> - Honestly, its a trollish little thing that Thoujests enjoys to do given his primary weapon is a bone claw
  • <<Battle Healing>> - Again more battle trolling, magicians never die afterall.
  • <<Parry>> - Again, more trolling, Thoujests finds it funny how angry people get when they can't do damage on hits.

Breaker: <<Lawbreaker>>
Jester can alter the very way gravity affects him in game although in reality its more like some issue with jumping/flying/landing coding. In practice this means that the game's gravity will act differently for him meaning that he can run up walls and even ceilings as if he was just walking on the ground. He still takes fall damage so its still possible for him to kill himself that way but he's gotten good enough to the point that by quickly alternating his gravity he can effectively make himself slowly fall to the ground without and fall damage.

Misc:
  • Jester carries around a deck of cards which he uses to help decide on important matters. Like how to kill someone or what to have for lunch. Important stuff.
  • Fourth wall breaking does occur with Jester.
this is the right way to eat a cookie.

Homestuckers need a good beating.

I'd like to think that there are more eloquent ways of putting this. I'm not a fan of Homestuckers myself but taking a bat and beating them isn't exactly behavior that I'd say they deserve. If you don't like them then simply don't go to places where there's a high concentration of them or just maturely ignore them. Live and let live mate.
@Vocab@RisenDead I have something of an idea on how to balance out the Vuplins to some degree, at least in one aspect.

How about that the Vuplin military is mostly a defensive army? Makes sense given that they are in some of the most hostile land on the map with NPC notChaos always trying for some of that nekomimi booty. Whatever offensive army they scrunge up are generally pretty small as:

1) They can't spare half the army to go fuck off into the world and attack dwarves or something when they are under constant threat of attack
2) Most of the soldiers don't want to go out an attack stuff, you said they come from a homeland ravaged by war, it'd make sense for some of the soldiers to simply be tired of fighting and want to do something else but for whatever reason they can't.

Personally I feel this would help balance out the OP factor somewhat and give them a more relatable human feel as they're from a military culture except they no longer feel the "glory of battle" or whatever and are just trying to survive somewhere else after surviving and fleeing from another war zone. As for who to fight you, I'm sure that you can get a few people to come looking for exotic goods. I can NPC beastmen and maybe notChaos if Aristo comes up with an army list (even then I can just make one up on the fly). Besides, I'm allowing for all sorts of crazy reasons as to why some armies are no where close to their homelands.

Thoughts?

PS: Editing it notification doesn't make the @mention work.

EDIT: Aristo also has a point about the nightmarish logistics behind the Vupline expeditions which I feel should be something that is seen with in either the NS or IC posts on how they're always low on rations and good arms and have to resort to old ass stuff sometimes or make some pretty big sacrifices (who to feed first, the army or the people?). They are colonists after all and colonists usually have it pretty rough even when they're from a nation in peace.
@Vocab All of @RisenDead's points are valid, I suggest you look over your sheet and make edits as needed.

RD, yes you do have influence over the RP in my stead to a limited degree mate :P

Last call for @LordZell to at least check in and tell us if he's still in this or not.
<Snipped quote by Aristo>

I believe it was decided that there would be no chaos in this RP.

Also, back home, should post today.

When I said no Chaos I mean no Chaos god. The fuck all crazy vikings wouldn't be killing in the name of Khorne or whatever and wouldn't be getting daemons in their armies. People with a similar taste of fashion and religion are okay its just that their gods don't/can't affect anyone but them really since there's no Realm of Chaos.
Still accepting characters?

Though, I see that there are quite a few :/

Unfortunately its currently marked as Full by the GM :\
I'm interested as heck but I don't have a solid plan for a faction yet. One thought was a 'third wheel' to the Yore/Rhune Empires; maybe a republic that grew out of a collective dislike of the monarchies, or a lone province that managed to fight an empire off for its independence, a la the Swiss.

But then I thought about Chaos northmen and horse tribes and I'm bouncing between a host of ideas.

Honestly having some notChaos Vikings would be nice for the balance of the RP as there is really nothing up there right now but a few dwarves. You'd also have plenty of more targets to go after since I know a few people have encounters with the northmen in their NSs (I think).
