@Azereiah Just indicated positions. Ever play Mass Effect? Well the walkway up to the cockpit was the direct inspiration for that part of the Revenant's layout- a couple of comfortable chairs and gun controls. If not, here's the best picture of it I could find

As for Sombrero's character, yeah, his character is also on the guns. I've had no contact with him at all, I don't even think the guy's been online in a month or so. After the mission, we may just scuttle him off like jordy's character did early on- re-assigned by the Alliance to a 'different mission' of Project Revenant, just to leave the door open for a possible return down the line. For now, we'll keep him around.

@Rultaos Yeah, it seems like it bud, I think we've got more than enough hacking specialists now!

@Zardoric Seems all good to me, only real issue is that we're on a mission currently, so we can't really detour to pick you up, would you mind waiting just a little bit to be brought in?
I think just about everyone has chimed in at this point. I've got a few errands to run but when I get back in a few hours I'll move us ahead to the mission proper!

I would guess simply ear pieces.

Yup, nice simple ear pieces, sorry should've clarified that!
@Azereiah

SAL and Grayson had gone ahead to finish up their tasks while Stryker waited for the second bot to power up.
"It's not exactly that simple. Let's say for now that we're more like independent contractors. Come on" Stryker said, leading the way to the stairs "You'll be taking up a post at a couple of our gunner seats. Our crew's going to be boarding a mining station that needs to be destroyed, they're clearing it out from the inside, we'll be attacking from the outside."

@Banana@PlatinumSkink@Rultaos@mackielars@Xandrya@Dark Light@BKburke@Tickout@Turbowraith

"Wait here, pick out a seat" He said to them as they arrived outside the cockpit. He walked inside to grab the datapad, and witness their arrival at Zargos.
"Well isn't that a sight" Stryker said as he looked out on the view. It was a small system, just four Colony-level planets, three moon structures and a blue sun. Hovering above what Stryker assumed was Zargos Major was their target, the Helsin mining station.

"Shame the bastards fragged the hell out of it during the war, wouldn't have minded settling down somewhere like this" he said to Tibulus "Post up in the shadow of the nearest moon, then cut the engines. Keep your comm open, I'll be in contact shortly.... oh and we had a couple stowaways in the cargo bay. No big deal, I told them they're workin' for us now or I'd throw em out the airlock"

He intercepted Belov and Sammn outside "Last minute change of plans. Belov, gear up, you're going with the boarding party. Sammn, this is Renli and Rento, they'll be joining you on the guns, keep an eye on 'em will ya?"
He tapped into the ship-wide comms and began to speak as he walked down towards the ladder to the forward battery.
"Alright everybody, rise and shine. It's go time, get your gear and get down to the shuttles. You all know the plan, now's the time to act on it. Good luck... oh and, kind of a last-minute thing, there's a case of ammo in the shuttle, just inside of that is a box full of comm devices, everyone take one and stay in contact. Stryker out"
@Azereiah

"Well I'll be" Stryker said "We got ourselves a rogue one. Ok Rento, we're a little pressed for time, so here's the cliff notes. I'm Stryker and the ship is the Revenant. We're not Alliance, but we're working for them. In fact, we're just about to begin a mission for them, your presence is a little unexpected, to say the least, and to be quite frank, I don't know what to do with you, so how about this for a deal? As of now, you and the other drone in the case work for me. You guys help us out on this job, we don't throw you out the airlock, or turn you over to the Alliance. We'll keep your weapons and this uhh 'Tower' locked up until we have a chance to talk more, get to know each other a little. How's that sound?"

Stryker turned to the others "We good to go?"
"Just about" Grayson said "I've got my rifles and that other case secured on shuttle 2. Case of ammo on shuttle 1, and the drones' weapon kits are over by the pod, they don't seem too enthusiastic about arming up"
"Yeah, I've got to assign 'em when I go to get my armor on" Stryker replied "SAL, take those crates out, then bring that Tower up to one of the storage rooms upstairs. Grayson, take their weapons up to the Armory and lock them up. Rento, activate the other one, then you'll follow me up to the Command Deck, I'll show you your jobs. And no funny business"
"Alright, everyone dismissed" Stryker said to those still gathered around the War Room, he turned his attention to his datapad "Get your gear in order and be ready to move when we hit the system. Anyone who needs an ammo top-up, see Grayson in the Armory. According to this, there's a keyboard embedded in a wall hatch alongside the armory door, type your requests in there and he's supposed to get a notification on the Armory terminal about it if he's in there. Be ready to move"
He left the Armory, setting combat roles for the Attack Platforms on the datapad as he walked. He also assigned a download of basic piloting to 772 to ensure the drone would be able to fly the shuttle over to the Helsin station. Stryker arrived at the cockpit and took his seat. He spoke briefly before turning his attention back to the datapad, intending to familiarize himself with the ship's weapon systems for the remainder of the trip.
"Sepitan, increase the burn by another 20, see if we can shave some time off that ETA"

@Tickout

Grayson placed the other two guns back into storage, took his seat at the desk and began to disassemble the Veritas.
"Ah, don't mention it lad. Give me a tight 15 and I'll have her all shined up for ya" A screen embedded in the desk's surface lit up. Request from Stryker for weapon kits to outfit the drones with.
"I best get to it then, lots of work in the next couple hours. Listen, if ya don't come back for her, I'll track ya down in a little while"

90 MINUTES LATER

Grayson set the final footlocker down and locked it into a secure position. After sending Maxi off, he'd polished up the Veritas and then got to work assembling the requested weapons together. Then he armored up and called SAL in to help carry everything down to the cargo bay. First, stacking the weapon kits down next to the attack drones, as requested, next placing a few boxes of ammo into the primary shuttle to top up the crew's weapons, and finally bringing his gear down to the secondary shuttle and securing it until needed. He was testing out a portable oxygen tank inside the shuttle when he heard a thump coming from the far corner of the room. With a nod to SAL, he drew one of his BlackHammer pistols and inched towards the source of the racket. Rounding a tall stack of storage crates, Grayson found himself facing what appeared to be an AI core tower and a human-shaped drone who was tugging at a crate, trying to dislodge it from the pile.
"Drop it, hands in the air mate" Grayson said, raising his gun. SAL stomped out of the shuttle with his shotgun raised.
"I will alert Stryker"

If the robot or AI program planned on talking it's way out of this situation, it wasn't doing a very good job. Grayson and SAL stood by in silence, guns still trained on the stowaways until the elevator arrived, signalling Stryker's arrival.
"Alright" the captain said to the robot, a hand on his own holstered pistol "Talk. Who are you, how'd you get on this ship, what are your intentions, and why are you smuggling around an AI core?"
"It was tryin to get at those two crates along the bottom" Grayson said "Doesn't seem like they're on the shipping manifest"
"Ok then, one last question... what's in the crates?"

@Azereiah
Right, so we've got a majority in favor (I was supposed to do this last night, but I was absolutely wiped) which means it's time for me to get to work!
Well now seems like a good time to put out a call to action. If everyone's good to go, I can jump us forward to the mission start (once interactions are complete, I'll be concluding most of them concerning my characters in my next post) Voting begins... now!

@Turbowraith Won't be long now, just hang in there a little while longer!

@Metronome Sorry to see you go, was really hopeful you'd return but I guess it wasn't meant to be
@1Hawkeyes

Reaper had crept up through the building to the roof, finally laying eyes on his target, hunched by the edge with his back to Reaper. He couldn't just draw his pistol and shoot the bastard, the noise would alert the Russians below. The knife it was. He made his way forward, slowly at first, then paused suddenly, the Lancer was sighting up, time to move, he whistled to grab the sniper's attention, and caught him off balance in the shock of the moment, sinking the knife into the exposed gap between his shoulder pads and helmet.

He dragged the body back out of the way, then moved back to the edge to wave to Agent, giving her the go ahead. He trusted her to handle herself for the moment, and went back over to the body to search it for intel. He noticed a radio transceiver embedded in the helmet, but he couldn't access it in his limited window. One final pass uncovered a cell phone in a back pocket, a wireless transmitter plugged into the headphone jack. It's screen lit up with texts from unknown numbers giving a green light to begin the mission. Suddenly it began to buzz with an incoming call, shocking Reaper slightly. He pulled out the transmitter and answered the call.

"Alpha-One report" a distorted voice stated.
Acting fast, Reaper bunched up the neck of his shirt and pushed it into his mouth, hoping it would give a similar effect.
"Engaged"
Hoping that would suffice, he listened with bated breath. A click and the line went dead, could mean anything really.

The bang of a gunshot coming from below rocked Reaper back to reality, he snatched up the sniper rifle and rushed back to the edge. He spotted Agent crumpling up a gun in her hands. The girl was strong, seemed like she was handling things quite well, but one of the punks had gotten behind her unnoticed. He quickly sighted up, and prayed no one moved too fast. He fired, aiming for that sweet spot right at the crown of the head. Unfortunately, his target shifted at the last second, and the bullet embedded itself into the thug's right shoulder. Either way, the desired effect was achieved, he went down screaming. Reaper waited, gun raised, scanning both the nearby rooftops for any sign of a secondary Lancer, and battle below for chances to assist.
@Tickout

"Aye, there's some kind of lab downstairs, down below the Crew Deck, think someone might've set up shop in there already, but should have everything you need." Grayson jabbed a thumb to point over his shoulder "And there's a little weapon's workbench just around the corner behind me, haven't had a look yet at what kinda tools they've given me though. But now, let's see what we got here"

He picked up the ballistic pistol and identified it as a Berensen 312, or perhaps a cheaply made knockoff. Either way it was a low-quality weapon, production wise.
"This is a solid pistol, save for some obviously cheap parts, particularly on the slide, and whoever crafted this thing wasn't payin' much mind to the possibility of jams. The ejection port is awful skinny. Give me a second here"

After some more digging around in his personal stores, he retrieved a revolver and a semi-auto pistol, and then walked over to one of the Alliance display cases to pull out another semi-auto. He laid out all 3 guns on the desk and picked out the revolver.
"Alright, so first question is, what style of gun will fit ya best? We have a Rollinger-X6 revolver here. One of mine. Decent stopping power, no chance of misfire or jamming, but she only holds 6 rounds and you gotta reload each one into the cylinder manually, which can leave ya exposed in a tight situation. Doesn't get anymore simple in the operations department though, point and shoot, and watch your kickback"

He moved on to the next weapon, one of the semi-autos "Over here is another of mine, Veritas-M7, holds 12 in the clip, plus one in the chamber, I haven't used her in a while, so I'd take 'er apart an polish everythin' up if you wanted to take her. Very nice piece all in, nice wide port for clean casing ejects, shouldn't have to worry about her jammin' up on ya. Good fire rate, clean and fast on the reload. And to top it off, she's fairly simple to use. She's not very powerful though, lackin' just a bit on that scale."
He quickly moved on to the final weapon.
"The last gun here is an Alliance standard M9X, holds up to 20 rounds and its got a fair amount of power behind those rounds, but they have a couple design flaws that I can see, give me an hour and I could buff those out, give ya a nice formidable piece. At the end it's your choice, whichever one sounds the best and feels the most comfortable in your hands. Fair warning though mate, you've got my TX-5 there, you could end up walkin' out of here with 2 guns from my personal collection, and you better treat 'em right. You don't want to meet the Grayson that comes out when someone mistreats his babies, he's a very nasty customer indeed. Hopefully, you don't have to worry about that at all, so yeah, go ahead and have a look at them, see what ya think"
