As I said, there is never an obligation for someone to post. If you have something to write, do so. If you're lacking energy, then don't do it because you'll only just frustrate yourself and before you or I even know it, you'll be like, "I'm leaving the game wah." And then I'll see your ass in ANOTHER game to just go through that exact same process all over again. So please, bear with it. This game is going to move on regardless and not stagnate anywhere. Eventually, there will be a moment in it where you WILL feel like posting. On another note, if you're lacking creative energy then just do something else: work out, go to the movies, hang out with real people and not people online, change your diet, etc. Hobbies. It might help. Sometimes your mind just needs a creative break. I take breaks all the time when I'm waiting for the "X" amount of people in this game to post lol. But any who...

Wow, Holy that's honestly really comforting. I have a tendency to beat up on myself when I'm feeling burned out in regards to writing. I hate holding people up so hearing this from a moderator is a really surprising and appreciated thing. I hope you enjoy your vacation in Japan. Try not to get wrapped up in any zanny plots that'll make into you an anime protagonist!
@Riflebird Thanks for editting! Sorry for the confusion on the names, that was probably my fault.

@Oddsbod Anyway. Sorry for the delay in posting everyone, I have been SWAMPED and knee deep in something that had me writing up till 5:00 AM trying to get it done. So I'll post for B.B and we can probably kick of Red's interaction with Eissen. Drag is gonna have the crier stop off somewhere else.

Current Population: 20 People
Current Resources: [Fresh Water], [Fish], [Weak Electrical Power]
Population Mood: "Feeling Safe!"
EVENTS: None at this time.

Two nearly identical buildings, one blue another red, stand separated by a pond and connected by a battered roofed bridge running over it. Made of wood, corrugated sheet metal, and the occasional length of chicken wire they give off an agricultural feel. The hay, empty grain silos, and barn style doors seem to suggest this is fact.

However the lingerings stink of gunpowder betrays the true nature of the opposing forts.

Beneath the surfaces of both forts are clean and sleek facilities with offices, meeting rooms, rows of computer banks, and mission control rooms that once accurately displayed the state of the world from which it was from.

A road and a railroad track runs through 2Fort, though where they lead now is unclearly…

I swear on the lives of my cute, adorable kittens that I will not go Rip Van Winkle on everyone's characters with my magic bullets.

<Snipped quote by Crosswire>

Thanks for the offer, but I'd like to give a shot at playing him. I actually had most of his character sheet written up already. :/

I'll post it tonight asap.

Damn it. Now I'm imagining Rip Van Winkle curving bullets through people's heads like someone out of Wanted.

Also I apologize. I didn't know you were nearly finished with the character. I just offered to play him since I wasn't sure if you wanted to play two characters or not.

As for the Gingerbread man. He's beautiful. I love the puny "John Dough" and "Bread Winner" name and the fact you managed to make a mischievous cookie man into a rotting, cannibalistic monstrosity worthy of being a crime lord.

The only problem on his sheet is that you state his headquarters being back in the Homelands. Now I don't know what Drag thinks of this, but from the start we've kind of been implying that the Exodus was sort of a one way trip. Very few if anyone stayed back in the Tale's Homeland and while there may be some means to go back, it'd probably be too much of an undertaking to go through simply to set up a crime headquarters.

Drag has the final word, but I'd prefer Mr. Dough's crime HQ to be set somewhere in Taletown. It can be well hidden though.

And in an instant it was all gone.

The fabric of reality buckled like a book case collapsing in on itself. Dimensions, entire planes of existence never meant to intertwine were crushed on top of one another until they began to crumble. Planets were pulled apart as the very laws that held them together, that allowed them to exist at all, ceased to function.

When "The Event" stopped all that remained were broken remnants. Pieces of the underwater city of Rapture, fragments of the alien invaded Reach, the Arklay Mountains near Raccoon city, and the bits and pieces of countless other worlds all drifting through the ethereal void of nonexistence. They were like islands with the people, places, and things on them perfectly preserved.

Unable to move, unable to think, unable to perceive what had happened or what would become of them.

All of existence could have ended there, but something began to happen.

Bit by bit the fragments began to bunch together. Entire chunks of once whole planets packed together with lands, locales, and buildings of various worlds piling on. Mass and particles were drawn together, forming a star and eventually a moon.

Light shined, gravity pulled, and time began to move forward as a new set of rules was formed from the remaining shreds of other realities.

As the sun rose over the new, patchwork world for the first time the people, creatures, and entities that had been carried along with the fragments awoke to found themselves displaced.

Citizens, soldiers, survivors, test subject, knights, were presented with a twisted world filled with wonder they had never dreamed off...and horrors they never could have imagined.

Undying monstrosities of pestilence, vicious cold hearted mercenaries, alien zealots, blood thirsty robots, and deformed genetic drug abusers were just a fraction of what they found themselves contending against.

So people ran, wandering and desperately trying to survive. In the new world there was no law, no established rule, no one to keep them safe but themselves. Yet they continued to move, over rolling hills, across vast stretches of water, and through landscapes they dared not put to word. They searched hoping to find a safe place, a sanctuary.

What they found was a place called 2Fort.

Mistaking it for some kind of town people began to settle down and tried to make it into somewhere they could live.

This is where our story begins.

You get all that?

Long story short, this is a role play that revolves around the mass crossover of various video games into a single world. It focuses on an original plot of survival, struggle, and adaption to the bizarre patchwork world they're all stuck living on.

The roleplay will put emphasis on randomized loot and building up the 'town' of 2Fort.

Starting off the 'town' will have very little to offer and will be vulnerable to attack from countless horrific enemies. The town of 2Fort will grow and prosper, or wither and die at the actions of you and your characters.

Player characters that can't simply find food, ammo, armor, weapons, and items whenever it's convenient for them. Instead a large loot table made up of things from the countless video games involved will be used to determine what you find.

Now you're probably asking what series are involved in the roleplay.

Here's a list of games I chose as a base to start from. However more games can be added at player request. If you wanted to play a character from Metroid, or Final Fantasy, or simply felt having elements of a game in the RP would add to things then that game could be added. The Items, enemies, and various elements/locals from that game would be incorporated into the lists/tables I have.

However there are some rules regarding what games can and cannot be allowed into the roleplay:

#1: The video game can't be spun off of an existing piece of media. So nothing tied to anime, comic books, novels, or film. If I didn't have this rule it'd be total chaos even if it would give me an excuse to ruse RWBY Grimm Eclipse.

#2: The game needs to be reasonable for the setting of the role play as a whole. A game where characters can casually blow up planets would not work here for example.

#3: The game needs to be suggested for the right reasons. I don't want people trying to powerplay or metagame. If you want to stroke your ego and game the system to be the strongest, then don't bother joining this rolplay. This is meant to be about the adventure and the narrative we craft, the excitement of adventure and the struggles of making do with what we can scrounge up.

And that's pretty much it. Here is the list of games the roleplay starts off made up of:
-----------------

----------------

Note: I'm allowing Original Characters from established game universes to be apped alongside canon characters, but please don't abuse my leniency here.
@Crosswire Oh nice. Should we do a three-way?

Yes I think that might work out well. What do you think Drag?

@Drag Is Taletown a thing? I'd love for it to be a thing lol.

Taletown is a PERFECT name for where the Tales Community Lives. That's fantastic :D

<Snipped quote by Drag>

Sounds good. For the Gingerbread Man, would it be easier if I took him as a second character? Are we allowed two?

Also, Swan isn't immune to curses, only resistant to them. Thus if the curse was powerful enough, it could affect her. She only has resistance to low-mid level curses, stuff like jinxes, hexes and vooodoo spells (i.e. long term enchantments on her mind/body/soul). Wards, shields and direct attack spells (fireball!) still affect her.

I absolutely LOVE Swan. Her backstory, appearance, and personality are wonderful. Giving her a re-chambered Lemat revolver is really cool since I have a love for the gun and have been using a re-chambered version in one of my own stories. My only concern is about how the gun 'always hits it's mark'. I guess it balances out since she's useless in close quarters combat due to her shitty physique and every seventh shot is doomed to screw her, but I just want a promise you won't abuse the gun to brain everyone's characters.

You could totally make the Gingerbread Man as a second character, but I feel Swan would work better if she had someone to bounce off of. If you don't mind the Gingerbread Man potentially dying in the future, I could make and play as him.

@OddsbodI think Drag was gonna have Crier walk into Red's Goody Basket to grill Red on the murder, but we could probably do a collaborative post :D
@Mr Allen J This roleplay is the perfect storm. I found it JUST as I was hungering for a Street Fighter esque roleplay. I've had to put up with badly run, no effort, bullshit roleplays for so long I couldn't hold any positive expectations anymore. Then I found this roleplay, got a chance to use Brown, and got to interact with and play with some absolutely amazing people. I've never been in a roleplay where people are so interested in one another's characters and creative with things.

So thanks for making this Mr. J. It's been a pleasure beyond words.

I love all of you guys.
@UtraxYaaaaay! I'll post shortly after I get some grub in me.
@Utrax@Drag Post wise I replied to you two. Drag are we waiting for everyone to post once or can we post/reply as necessary?
