Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

I see you in the collab, but I don't think you're actually checking it.

Anyways, Zeph's preaching about Logos is finally done and I await your response.
@Hael

Looks better to me.

@Cyclone As long as cornerstone stays about on the equator, mostly for flavour reasons, I'm fine with that.

For some reason, I like the idea of Cornerstone moving away from the equator by a mile or two and driving Toun into a perfectionist rage. He'd immediately sunder the local tectonic plate and move Cornerstone back into place atop his new mini-plate, creating massive earthquakes and killing millions in the process.

*passes this idea on a note to Vestec*
@Cyclone, I thought Equatorial regions didn't have seasons. At least, where I live irl doesn't have any season other than "summer"

Google says seasons exist in equatorial regions but are very mild. I'm guessing that the extreme seasons from a bigger tilt on Galbar would make them actually notable, albeit with not as much variance as other places north and south.

I know a lot of places just have wet seasons and dry seasons. I guess it makes sense for parts of Galbar to be like that, but unless somekne brings in the science I won't overcomplicate this.
@everybody

You know, I'm thinking about trying to make the map look prettier and more...natural. I'd be doing some plate-tectonics mumbo jumbo with a powerful hero, big elemental, or even with Zeph himself. Not sure which one yet; I don't have any narrative for it figured out at this point. The goal would be to explain a massive reshaping of some stuff so that the oceans wrap around and we have actual continents.

Edit: Or, come to think of it, the addition of just one more ocean might be able to fulfill this role and claim a lot of the empty space.

Thoughts on all this?

And yeah @Hael, I'd say that's pretty big but I suppose we are looking to fill in the map. But also, remember that Galbar has extreme seasons and that winter prevents trees from growing in the arctic to an even greater extent than on Earth. Galbar's habitable region is really quite a bit smaller, since the Firewind (and I assume most equatorial regions) are hellishly hot in the summer, nearly to the point of being uninhabitable. And a much greater swathe of land in the north is essentially Siberia.

I think the point that I was getting at is that Kho's jungle was specifically said to be made of trees nearly immune to frost. Unless Vulamera does the same thing, I'd move the forest down to the south side of the Deepwood or maybe just give the icecap some more respect in terms of putting a big taiga in between it and these Shining Woods.
@Cyclone

Is this up to date? I'm adding some finishing touches to my last post and I need to know the exact amount of empty space.

Oh yeah. It's that map. That I still never got around to making a nice-looking version...

*contemplates doing it now and procrastinating later*

Naw, I'll get to it some day.

Anyways, it's the most recent version but it still lacks Kyre's landform. Unless I'm forgetting something else?

You got it.

Could just wait for Zeph's party to see even more, but if you want to just pay a friendly visit the insane storm god is surprisingly welcoming.

You can create intelligent creatures, but she'll still be the Goddess of their intelligence

...or lack thereof? That was the point.
@Kho@Hael

Proof that you don't need Vulamera to do anything.

"Your new creations are rather crude, Zephyrion-" Astarte turned toward her fellow God and shrugged after raising an eyebrow at him, "They're like big Deepwoods animals."

"Crude?" he gushed back with an odd combination of joking indifference and contempt seeping into his tone. "They are sublime! Masterpieces! Look at me, Astarte: I am no creator god. And yet I have still made these beings that are mighty and stout. In defiance of the wretched Vulamera, I also designed for them a grand intelligence using only my own wit and powers. What better way to ridicule the Foolish One and denounce her uselessness to nature itself than to take it upon myself to fulfill the void in responsibility that she leaves in her absence, and fulfill this role even better than she might?"

Zephyrion's tirade was interrupted by that first being stooping down to find a rock and chew on it. Beneath the thing was a snake that lashed out in fear and bit the giant in the toe. The thing only stared stupidly down at it for several seconds, seemingly not even in pain, before stooping down to snatch up the snake and devour it as well.
Excerpt from the much-hyped ogre collab
It's official. Fire has been invented by the Hain.

*gasps*

BBeast what have you done?!

Edit:

although by now it had grown to a legend of a great and benevolent spirit who they now worshipped.

Yeah those benevolent fire elementals like Char were probably responsible for this atrocity.
Well, the ogres have been made for a while in the collab I've been working on. We're just finishing other sections and wondering if/how we should break it into smaller sections.

In the meantime, I guess I'll post the creation sheet for them.
