Before he was brought to this world Dexter was a being from a place known as the Void where his kind lived, but it wasn't an easy way of life for most of it's inhabitants. If you were weak, you were consumed for your mana and the only escape from such brutality was a fate worse than death. The only way of leaving this way of life is by giving up one form for that of a fallen body, and in the end Dexter decided to sacrifice everything to escape being consumed for his mana...

On Earth he was just an average guy trying to eke out a meager life in the bustling city streets of New York. Jared tended bar at a nightclub, not exactly a most popular establishment but the clientele was at least pleasant and nobody caused any trouble.

Not until one fateful evening that ended in bloodshed, some creep that was bounced from the club apparently had a bone to pick with the patronage of the nightclub. This individual returned with gun in hand and opened fire killing and injuring a few people while others dove for cover. Unfortunately a bullet struck Jared's chest, it was the end of his shift and at the time he had been on his way out when the guy entered and opened fire.

Jared was closest to the gunman and leapt at the assailant, getting shot in the process but tackling the man to the ground so no more people would die. And so in his last moments he thought about his regrets and wished he had lived to see those wishes followed through.

A second chance was all he needed...

Possessions:

Clothing & Armor

• Antiquated Plate-mail: An old dated suit of plate-mail armor, pitted with dents and scuffed from years of use. Although it is old the armor is still as sturdy as it was when it had been brand-new.
• Weathered Cloak: A ripped and threadbare cloak with frayed cloth and a hood, the color once royal blue has faded with age.
• Battle-scarred Shield: Many dents riddle this old shield, a faded emblem upon it unrecognizable due to age. A heavy make, made for a strong person to wield.

Weaponry

• Ancient Broadsword: This old blade is of an antiquated design. However the blade is strong and well-balanced with an intricate pommel, this blade is deadly in a skilled swordsmans hand.
• x2 Rusted Pokers: Upon the back are adorned two old and rusted pokers, worn as decoration but still useable as a weapon in a pinch.

Abilities:

• Unnatural Vigor: Despite inhabiting the body of some sort of umbral creature, Jared's soul has become intertwined with anothers. A spirit coexisting within a shared body with both souls bolstering the strength of it's host, unfortunately Jared often needs to vie for control over the other spirit. Jared is as strong as ten men with this boost of unnatural strength.
• Soul Empowerment: Something deep within his body hungers to be fuelled by consuming the soul energy of the dead, thus empowering it's own vitality and it's hosts body. Upon consuming a soul Jared's body is healed and the other spirit is quelled making it easier to remain in control of his body.
