@InkIsDorian Plot lines come and go but there is nothing at the moment. Any creature from any setting is fine, sometimes it gets a theme depending who was in there when others joined up but it really is limitless. Just have a look at some of the other characters.
Just remember the 'Tavern' has ultimate power over any of the occupants. So if you do bring in a diety who tries to funk everything up I will just shut that characters powers down. Hasn't needed to be done so far though.

Hey there! I am new to this forum, and, well, you RP was the first that caught my eye. I was wondering if I could join, just to start getting the ropes around here. If I can, then, do I just pop in? Or should I make a CS first?
Either is fine, (I personally prefer charactervsheets but don't hold anyone to it.) A few of us are playing a little game at the moment where the others decide features of your character and you just have to roll with it, (this isn't normal Rp behaviour and will get you in trouble elsewhere.) but it's cool if you just want to enter as normal and remain in control of your own characters details.
It's good to have fresh blood in here. Your posts can be as big or as little as you like ;)
Romus nodded to Max, unphased by his comment. "Last demon I saw you banished." he said to Liz over his shoulder as he carefully backed up between the tables, keeping a cautious eye on the demon. If it were not for the horns, the black claw like nails and the brief glimpses of serated fangs, he could almost pass as human. But Romus did not know if this was his true form or not.
Turning to the unannounced entrant, a wide smile suddenly grew on the lips of Romus. His eyes lit up with excitement as he gazed over the bright motley colours of a minstrel costume. "Oh good gracious, we're in the presence of a jongleur. Please do bring merriment to these old tired and forgotten walls. I will fetch you any drink you like."
Enterprise name: Carver's security transport. Leader name: Howard Carver Enterprise bio: Ex military, ex con, former Merc. Howie knows nothing of mining but he knows combat and war. He follows the money, and where there's money there are people afraid to lose it. Howie knows the dangers of hostile planets from his own previous personal unpleasant experiences. He's here to support, protect and transport people and their cargo for a price.
An uncomfortable trip with poor service. It was quicker than most though due to a careless cowboy attitude.
-1200 Hovercraft
A floating platform kept aloft by four small, high-powered repulsorjets. Gimbal thrust-vectoring nozzles on these repulsorjets make the hovercraft fast and ultra-maneuverable. With a maximum altitude of 20 feet/6 meters off the ground and a top speed of 100 mph/160 kph, the hovercraft is perfect for cruising above rough terrain and dense brush that would bog down ATVs and UTVs. Carries six passengers or two tons of field equipment.
-1200 Railgun - tripod mounted
A railgun uses magnetic force to propel a projectile at incredible speed. Railguns have long been the primary weapon of combat starships, but only relatively recently has the technology been miniaturized to the point that hand-fired railguns are available. This railgun is too heavy and cumbersome to be carried into combat, but it can be mounted on a tripod or a pintle mount in a vehicle. A railgun should have no problem taking down even the largest and most formidable monsters on Ember.
-10 Surveillance camera - motion activated
A small, high-resolution camera that activates upon detecting motion within a designated area. Switches to infrared at night or in low-light settings. Sends an alarm to a control panel or smart tablet when unexpected motion is encountered, and is able to distinguish between humans and wildlife. An excellent component of a complete mine or base camp security system.
-30 Razorwire spool - 1 acre/.4 hectare
A spool of razor-sharp fencing that can quickly be deployed to provide some measure of protection against intrusion by humans or alien life. Lacerations against the two lines of razorwire will deter curious wildlife, but determined attackers will get through.
-30 Semi-automatic rifle
A very old firearm that fires 7.62x39mm rounds. Who knows where this thing's been in the time between its make nearly a century ago and its purchase by the vendor. These weapons are known for being cheap and reliable. Good enough for stopping native vermin or a lone intruder to the mine, but it will not be sufficient to bring down the larger wildlife roaming Ember's wildernesses.
-10 Field tent
A large tent of tough construction. Suitable for living quarters or the headquarters of a mining operation on a shoestring budget. More than suitable for weather on Earth, but this tent may not provide adequate protection against the erratic, often-violent weather that prevails on Ember.
-30 Electrosnare
A spring-loaded trap used by naturalists on Earth to capture large animals without causing harm. Once triggered, a clamp snaps firmly onto the animal's leg. Once secured, the trap pulses with an electric current that relaxes the animal's muscles, effectively paralyzing it until released. Sends an alert to a smart tablet once triggered.
-140 Sniper rifle gifted
advance payment from Selenite Enterprises. An older semiautomatic sniper rifle with excellent range and accuracy. Fires a standard kinetic round of large caliber. Skilled marksmen issued this particular firearm in combat report the ability to score a hit on a person at a range of 1,000 feet/305 meters. Comes with a telescoping scope with a passive infrared mode.
Carver
THE "We're all gonna die one day, might as well make some cash doing it."
Individual name: Howard Carver Age: 52 Biography: Howie Carver was a military man. A skilled pilot, leader and mechanic, he had a busy service record. However he wasn't always on the winning side. After his service he slipped into crime to make ends meet. Using the only skills he had. After capture and release he rebuilt himself as a mercenary, going a bit more legit with his talents and using them for a proper income. Starting location:
I believe I echo all your sentiments when I say that I want this bug hunt done by the numbers. The Bernard Colonial Government is basically a proxy for the Outer Rim Exploitative Corporation. These are some major players in the fringe systems, and if we do right by them, we can get some serious opportunities ahead of us. Koatev is a major refinery station for the ORE, and if we botch this, expect tylium prices to go through the roof.
I suggest Commander Davidson takes the lead, given Manny's Mechs are providing the muscle for this op, while Commander Nought provides support. I wouldn't rely on the local militia overly much as well. We're the professionals. Anyway, ERIS is standing by to provide logistical support and our contact with the Bernard Militia is patched into the battlenet. Relay your orders to your officers and get this job done.
Look forward to working with you all again. My Mach II Viper will be offering air support and traveling in with Nought. (Thanks babe) Just locate the target and call it in before close combat engagement. We will break the ranks and clear out any build ups as well as hunt down any fleeing stragglers from the sky.
