One of the key things of using a bow, is to make sure that it is properly held, albeit it also being comfortable enough for you.

It works the exact same as a Witches kiss, and therefore has only two methods of removal.

Have a Magical Girl remove it because magic.

Or kill the one who cast it.

I'd like to see you try number 2 >:D

The reason the last one would work is because the magic is centralized. If there's a mark, then it's because the magic is focused there. So it really just depends on the depth, and seeing as magical girls can survive a shot to the brain, (see Homura) any depth is removable. You'd have to force her not to in order to keep her enthralled.

The "in general" rule is really just: utilize each character's abilities well.
For example, Mary Beth could:
- Create armor 3.5 cm thick of crystalline sugar everywhere with a winding tunnel in it for air so that there are no thin spots
- Convert the invisible chains to sugar, including the chains piercing her, then use that sugar now in her wounds to seal them until she gets medical attention
- Since she can create sugar without sensory input, a giant sugar grain to gain the second's reprieve would work
- The armor would also protect against the soul ripping chains so long as she attends to the damage from it as it happens
- Potentially, depending on how it works, she could create a layer of sugar twice under the skin of her neck, use one to tear off the mark and the other to seal the wound
