ey yo @DarkwolfX37 I understand your frustrations in having to change your powers. I actually have to change my character too, like right now and it sucks to have to change your ideas. But , it's all good in the hood man. Just do it when its's not as annoying to you.

It's not even that I'm mad I have to change my powers. I'm totally fine with that as long as it's said straight out like wolverbells did or if changes to a specific power are reasonable and won't make the character unviable. It's fun writing up new power sets.
I'm just mad because I did what I could to apply the requested changes while not ignoring how biology works or making my character a piece of glass who might not actually get usable worthwhile powers by the end of the rp, and yet it was still rejected, even though prior to the further weakening it was already accepted. I'd weakened my character four times prior to this and wound up weakening her to the weakest she could possibly be and it wasn't good enough, yet it took wolverbells rushing head in to defend their friend's opinion without even factoring in the situation in order for me to be told "hey, just change the power to something else entirely."
I'll get over it in a day or two and hopefully I'll get into a writing mindset soon so I can write up new powers to go with by then.

Yes, clearly the issue is that I cannot work with others. Nevermind the fact that I made the changes requested except in a way that doesn't cripple the character for the entirety of the rp. Nevermind that it's perfectly reasonable for someone to get angry when unreasonable demands are made of them. No, the problem must be that I don't work well with others. :/
I'll throw out this version since, apparently, it's somehow OP despite being debatably the weakest power so far.
If this had been brought up in a PM, say, by Lillium telling me "oh I don't think that the way you implemented those edits is enough" in the PM that we already had, then it would have continued the in PM. Instead, they decided to say it here in the OOC, so it remained here in the OOC. I understand wanting to take your friend's side, but that kind of thing isn't going to go uncommented on.
The hider specifically said "don't read this." It was in a hider specifically because it wasn't a part of the discussion, it was a venting outlet that, as opposed to the alternative of PMing the other rpers here, is a functional and relatively civil way to express oneself. I don't like people talking about me behind my back, so I don't want to talk about others or issues with others behind their back. So I chose to make it possible for Lillium to see it if they chose to despite my warning that they probably shouldn't, instead of saying it outside of a hider or PMing the other rpers, since it was mostly meant for them to see. Notably for you and Jinxer to see so you could see the hypocrisy of singling out my character's powers when, compared to other accepted powers, mine are incredibly useless.

See, here's the thing. If the disagreement with how I handled the changes was brought up in a PM, I'd have kept it there. It wasn't. It was brought up in the OOC for all to see. And unlike normal players, GMs have certain control over an RP, which means they need to be held accountable for how they use it. This particular example wasn't an issue of "oh there's a dispute with another person so it should be solved privately." If it were, Lillium would have started this differently and thus I would have handled it differently. Instead, this became an issue of "someone in power is, debatably, abusing it." Which is something that should be handled publicly. The fact that Lillium blatantly said "the opinions of other Rpers are irrelevant, stay out of this" shows that.
I don't consider anything of what I said to be even approaching "abuse." If you do, please elaborate and I'll work on making sure it doesn't happen again. I also don't consider what I said to be aggressive towards Lillium; it was at worst an aggressive tone in my explanation of my reasoning, not directed at anyone. Again, if you disagree, tell me and tell me specifically instead of making an overarching post where portions pretend to be directed at everyone when they clearly are meant for a single person.
I understand if you three aren't attempting to nerf any powers, but that's the situation I was presented with. "Make your character useless or it won't be accepted."
I did simply put forward my point of view and explained why it was what it was and, lo and behold, it wasn't even acknowledged. It was totally ignored because the GM in question already made up their mind without thinking about the consequences of what their demands would result in. This is very aggravating when it happens. Similarly, it is aggravating when another GM ignores the issue entirely and subverts it by simply saying "oh I don't like your tone so, despite the actual issue and the points that each side makes, I'm taking side X instead of yours."
It wasn't the suggestion that I reacted angrily to. It was the ignoring of a reasonable compromise and the giving of a demand that I reacted angrily to. The actual suggestion I took into account and applied as well as I could without killing any viability of the character.

You are not a despot. An RP requires players to exist. The position of GM does not give you the right to treat the players like secondary classes or to demand that they not give input to issues that affect the RP that they are a part of. If you think that something shouldn't have outside input, then take the advice of your fellow GMs and take it to PMs. But the opinions of other players matter, and you shouldn't outright ignore them or tell them to not express them just because they disagree with you. Don't abuse your power as a GM.

We have:
- Teleportation.
- Manipulation of the lack of light.
- Technopathy in a location where there are electronics literally every three feet.
- Telekinesis AND Telepathy in a single character.
- TIME CONTROL.
- SPACE CONTROL.
- AND LITERAL FUCKING MIND CONTROL.

And you're worried about a power that progressively makes its owner weaker to the point of NEEDING PREDIGESTED FOOD IN ORDER TO SURVIVE BECAUSE OF HOW BADLY FUCKED HER BODY BECOMES AND COULD VERY EASILY DIE FROM A PAPERCUT, because after a couple decades she might be able to cause someone to OD if they just so happened to have eaten enough of the elements needed to make the chemical they would OD on.

And let's not forget the kicker. The only reason you're even complaining about my char is because it's the only one (Aside from Vocab's now) that actually outlines how the power will grow, and the last two, which I've said many times now could very easily not be reached by the time this rp ends, scare you.

I... I do not understand the level of insane you operate at.

I did make those edits. I just made the increase in power gradual instead of all suddenly kicking in at tier five. If I kept the edits exactly as you said without taking any liberties with the power increases, then she would have been too weak to even bother with because her powers would be TOO limited to be viable.

Trigger warning: I'm going to fucking tell you off in the following otherwise perfectly civil explanation because this is infuriating

Think about this for a second. If someone had a power like hers and it remained stagnant, with the limitations you mentioned remaining as you gave them all the way until she reached tier five, which very possibly might not happen by the end of this rp because of just how far away that is, then she would not only have the tons of weaknesses that come as side effects that already balanced out her power plenty, but she would be literally unable to defend herself against simple, average teenager humans in 99.9% of all situations where she was in danger. A stagnant power that after constant effort and improvement and tons of fucking time only resulted in a tiny increase in power but a major increase in things that are actively dangerous and life-threatening to her would: A) Almost certainly ensure that she dies young and well before she ever reached even tier four. B) Make any scientist worth their salt decide to simply forgo observing her growth and just kill and dissect her. C) Cause the first conflict she got into with another character, who, thanks to how weak Violet is, would 100% of the time be notably stronger than her and who has little to no control of their own powers, become hospitalizing at best and deadly at worst.

I don't mean any disrespect by anything so far, and I mean the following in the kindest possible way, but FUCKING THINK for a second.

I also wanted to say that I'm fine with having to satisfy all three (Co)GMs and I'm perfectly fine with throwing out a power and choosing something else, AND I don't hold a grudge against anyone for criticism or complaints or requests or anything else, but this particular instance of interaction over this particular character idea is insane and it's not insane because of me, for once.

I'd have to ask you to add more reasonable weaknesses. For example, requiring her to be in physical contact with the person before she can use her power on them. And it needs to be skin contact, mind you. The changes cannot be instant. They can and will be disrupted if contact is broken. Anything below tier 5 will not be permanent. They'll revert back after a while. 12 hours at tier 4, 15 minutes at tier 1 and so on.

Her prior powers were:

Tier Zero:
Her level when she was captured.
At this level can only cause something to produce more or less of a chemical.
Chemicals: Melanins.
- "Ever wanted to see what it's like to be a different race? I can help."

Tier One:
Higher maximum and minimum capable of causing to be produced.
Can now control the amount released, up to 15% of what's produced by that organism.
Chemicals: Sex hormones. (testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, oxytocin, and vasopressin)
- "Reintroducing puberty on command. Wanna be totally jacked? Sure. A knock-out bombshell? Done. Horny beyond belief? Easy."

Tier Two:
Higher maximum and minimum capable of causing to be produced. Now capable of causing the natural maximum and natural minimum possible for a given chemical to be produced.
Can now control the amount released, up to 50% of what's produced by the organism.
Chemicals: Lactic acid.
- "Muscles for days."

Tier Three:
Can now cause a chemical to be produced beyond it's natural maximum amount or not be produced at all.
Can now control the amount released, up to 75% of what's produced by the organism.
Chemicals: Adrenaline.
- "Super soldiers' workshop, right over here."

Tier Four:
Can now control the amount released, up to 100% of what's produced by the organism.
Can now cause cross-kingdom chemical creation so long as the materials exist within the organism. Example: Could cause a human to form chlorophyll.
Chemicals: Chemicals responsible for emotions.
- "A bit of psychology later and my wish is your command."

Tier Five:
Can now control whether or not chemical receptors accept their related chemical.
Can now control her own chemicals.
Chemicals: Those responsible for cell-replication.
- "Super regeneration or the inability to heal. And can finally make myself live off sunlight so I don't need the bathroom anymore. That'll be nice."

Tier Six: (Final Tier)
Can control chemicals in DNA and freely manipulate genetic code.
Given the materials needed, can now control chemicals outside of an organism. In practice, could potentially create life from raw elements.

@DarkwolfX37 You were already using breasts as an example of measurements your were trying to figure out. I just expanded on it. :)

But yeah, the vast majority of the time, or at least I find it to be, nobody really cares about what the exact numbers are when it comes to writing.

I like to use the Height Principle. Is it really important that we know a character is 6'4", or could you just as easily say "tall" and let us paint the picture for ourselves?

I tend to prefer details. They don't really factor in to how I imagine them, but I find them fun to know. Plus, it helps when comparing characters during interaction.
