David ran back to her dorm as quickly as he could, while still retaining his composure, first testing the key she gave him and then slamming the door open to find his partner... sleeping. On the second day. "You stupid idiot!! Wake up; you're late!" He prepared to dodge the inevitable pillow, or better yet anvil that was inevitably heading his direction. From bantering friends to partners, and little could be much worse. Though they had known each other well for years, they were partners now, and he had never wanted to get to know her this well.
Luckily for the two of them, the room was empty of occupants other than the sleeping sword-girl who was being rudely awakened. Kari went from lying on her stomach to a position best described as "physically impossible" as her face was now upside down and pointed at her partner, her back bending at a painfully unnatural angle. As she stared at him, as much as one could stare with their eyes closed, she grunted once in annoyance. "If you somehow know that I'm late, then you're an even bigger pervert than I thought. Which is pretty bad considering you're in the girls' dorms."
Having said this, she immediately fell forward so that she was once again lying flat on her front, instantly asleep once again.
