Probably something to do with the new banlist, apparently effective November 6th. They limited 4 cards, including Set Rotation, SPYRAL Drone, and SPYRAL Quik Fix. The fourth is Gofu.

Why did they plan a tourney right before a banlist? At least that basically kills the SPYRAL deck.

A really good Pokemon deck would be around the same price. You can really only get good cards cheap if they're middle of the road. New cards and old cards are really expensive. The original Charizard alone is upwards of 100$ at times.

Casual play isn't that bad. The game is only even remotely that expensive when you get decks that hit top tier, because then people buy them so they can win, and supply & demand does its thing.

I wish I owned one, but the game isn't worth the cost of some of these hand traps to me. I own a Ghost Ogre that I got back when they were cheap, but other than that, it costs so much to get the handtraps because demand is so high.

Nova and Infinity are must haves for me. A friend is lending me his for the tourney, since he's playing a Herald of Perfection deck and won't need them.

You should show me your deck. And if you have a card shop nearby, Eraser really is OP against swarms. I just wish they'd archetype upgrade like they did with archfiends and make the Wicked Gods Divine so Bound Creator could search them.
