Well, all Digimon Series (Manga, Anime, Game, etc) are canon to this RP but said RP occurs in an Alternate Universe and so we're not going to be interacting with canon stuff until close to endgame.
As for mechanics, well, you can use Crest Powers to manifest weapons, barriers, and other effects; that's the most major change. I and RFH might also add Extra Crests, such as Darkness. Tamers will get the capability to fight alongside their Digimon as equals in this RP.
Oh, and homosexual relationships are permitted; that's another big change.
Digimon. No, the franchise isn't a thing, but Shin Megami Tensei, Pokemon, and Monster Rancher are. Same as above. We pick our own partner. Digivices are D3s, and mechanics of the RP are basically that it's your typical Party RP; it could be made sandbox-ish if needed, though.
Alright, so: I still don't know if that means that any canon series are canon to this, anime, manga, game, or otherwise. And by "mechanics of the RP" I meant more what are the things specific to this RP that aren't only there because of the story.
Alright, so a few questions. Does this work on digimon, applimon, or both? Is the digimon franchise a thing, like it is in Tamers? What, if any, canon series are canon to this world? Do we pick our own partner or is it provided for us for story reasons? What is the digivice and what are its properties. What is a general rundown on the mechanics of the RP, irregardless of the story itself. Etc.
Violet is straight up ignoring the whole thing and will try to avoid contact altogether so it may be quite some time before I have to respond to something happening other than in passing.
Wow, I'm having a remarkably hard time figuring out how big Peckmon is compared to humans. Basically I'm trying to figure out if Kaitou could ride him like a Chocobo or not.
According to Cyber Sleuth it's bigger than Guardromon so yes.
Tyler already said that she's not one of the original Digidestined, so that is fine.
My memory is a little hazy as well but I'm fairly sure that the other people with Digimon in the second season were only tamers and not Digidestined, which are not the same thing; Digidestined are the chosen ones essentially, fabled warriors, while tamers are just people with Digimon.
I'm pretty sure that at season two everyone with a digivice was a "digidestined," but it was used much more broadly than season 1 and the main cast of 2 were.
