Leonard Winfield

Staring at the little aparatus that Aquaman had handed him, Leonard mulled over its usefulness. He supposed it would be a useful backup if nothing else, but his natural telepathy would be far more intuitive and easier for him to use. In any case this seemed like a very strange assignment, at least to his human sensibilities. Or rather, surface-dweller sensibilities. He frankly wasn't sure if he could be considered human anymore. In any case, it still stung him to realize how little he understood about Atlantean culture despite spending his entire academic life studying it.

++Correct me if I'm wrong,++ Leonard said via telepathic broadcast; his vocal chords weren't adapted to underwater communication. ++But the 'regular' Justice League doesn't undertake missions that are this political normally, right? Superman doesn't delegate the entire League as a motorcade for the President of the United States. I understand the Queen is your wife, Arthur, but is the Atlantean League her direct political affiliate? Are there not communities down here that we would be alienating by devoting this level of protection to her?++ He made an ambivalent gesture, trying to demonstrate that he was only trying to understand the situation. ++I only have my experience on the surface to go off of, but if the Justice League acted as a protection detail to the leader of a single sovereign nation, it would be politically inflammatory. And we're dealing with three times as much territory. Are we outright endorsing one of the Seven Kingdoms over the six others?++
I know this site doesn't get a lot in the way of feature updates but this is really something that I would find immensely useful. The ability to hide threads you're disinterested in would go a ways to making the site easier to navigate. Not to throw shade but the fact that something titled "Ponyhammer 40K" has been on the front page of the Advanced Interest Checks for a year is a crime.

My second thought is for there to be an "automatic hide" for posts/threads made by users that you can add to a blacklist/blocklist. Makes it easy to avoid threads with users that you find unpleasant, have had a falling out with, etc. Possibly makes you unable to receive PMs from that user as well, as I don't believe there is a dedicated block function on this site currently.

I remember being told on the Old Guild that blacklisting functions were "contentious" or something, but there's no reason they have to be. You don't have to send a notification to someone to tell them they've been blocked; if anything this would be a subtle and easy way to avoid conflict.
Concept numero A: Opium-addicted Dutch Foreign arms dealer. Undecided on what his weapon would be but it would probably have the soul of his son in it.

Concept exhibit 2: a sort of disaffected onmyouji, irritatingly upbeat in the face of what is essentially an apocalypse. This one needs more time in the oven, but I think the weapon will be an odaichi with the soul of his apprentice.
Into what was possibly the worst-named bar in the entire sector trudged what was very likely the largest man to ever set foot in the establishment. Easily seven feet tall, he ducked under the door frame and shuffled awkwardly into the establishment. He remained hunched as he trod toward toward the bar, perhaps trying to downplay his own tremendous size. His boots and workman's coveralls were clearly sized to fit an ogryn, and yet his musculature strained against them all the same. An industrial respirator hung from his belt, but besides that there was no indication of what existence he led in New Cadia City.

The giant sat down at the bar, the metal stool beneath him squealing under his weight, and retrieved a handful of coins from his shirt pocket. He dropped them on the counter in front of the barman; the largest of them no bigger than his thumbnail. He cleared his throat to get the barman's attention- as though he didn't already have it- thus making a noise like the groaning of a grox bull. As the owner came over, the huge man stared down at him with sinister yellow eyes.

"As much as this will get me." He growled in a dark and muddy voice. "Don't care if it's cheap, I just want a lot."

The Thirst was in him, thought Eynyn Ramus. Every time he indulged it, the Thirst came back faster; he had made this bitter realization many years ago. It was still too soon after his last one, so cheap swill would have to do for now. Too many too soon and people would begin to notice. This place was enough of a scum hole that if he kept it up it would take a hundred years for anyone to notice the bodies, but it would take far less time for someone to notice him. The vast majority of the Imperium had never seen an Astartes, much less one out of armour, but this port was busy enough that the risk of discovery remained. He needed to leave, sooner rather than later.
I'm not opposed to participating but this is the second time the game has gone over a week with essentially no activity, and we've had to do one of these "still alive?" roundups.

Sorry, work and classes have kept me nightmarishly busy. I'm still here in the general sort of ether.
Hewwo.

About how much more information regarding my character would you like?
@Hellis Ah, boo. Well I have some other ideas regardless.
Yep Hi Hello I'm here.

Not to be That Guy right off the bat but if we get enough players I'm ready to offer up our designated vampiric defector a la Alucard. Already got some inchresting ideas.
What I mean is, having played Dawn of War is better than nothing, but you'd be entering the RP more or less without a foundation of lore understanding.
