Carol Danvers

While she waited for the express elevator to arrive at the S.W.O.R.D. base, Carol used her powers to finish up the repairs on the damage on her costume that was caused during her short confrontation with the Scorpion. She needed to remember that, although she was near-invulnerable, her ‘uniform’ did not have the same luxury. Carol, in fact, was lucky that the battle with the Scorpion was so short that she was able to get away before anyone else could arrive at the scene of the crime. Otherwise, the tabloids would have tried to hype the situation up to be the superhuman community’s version of the 2004 Super Bowl half-time controversy.

Then the elevator dinged and the doors slid open, revealing a room full of over-worked, under-staffed S.W.O.R.D. agents trying to hold down the fort. Although there was some evidence for the presence of extra-terrestrial beings on Earth, an invasion of ‘Little Green Men’ was not taken seriously and therefore this subsidiary of S.H.I.E.L.D., which itself runs on a tight budget, was short-changed in the funding opportunity. Unfortunately, the only way to make themselves relevant was to prove an imminent threat by aliens and no one wants the events of Independence Day to actually happen in the real world.

In the middle of the room was Abigail Brand, who was the head of S.W.O.R.D. Anyone would say that her most defining feature was her unnaturally green hair. Although she believes that this agent of S.W.O.R.D. must be dying her hair, for whatsoever reason, Carol never seen her hair fade or change hues after a recent dying. While Carol had only been working with S.W.O.R.D. for about a month, she has heard similar stories about Ms. Brand’s perfect green hair from some of the more veteran agents.

“The unit will be in place in a matter of seconds.” Agent Lawson reported to Abigail Brand. S.W.O.R.D. had been following a lead on A.I.M. for the last couple weeks. While there was no evidence of any technology of extra-terrestrial origin in these crazy scientists’ possession, there were rumors about them reverse-engineering such devices, which they have learned from an as of yet unknown source or informant. Hopefully this little unmanned mission will shed some light on this mystery.

On the giant computer monitor in the front of the room, an image of the interior of one of the numerous AIM bases. In the center of the room was the head scientist of this particular base. This yellow-suited man was carrying on a conversation with a peculiar woman who had a pair of avian wings. While strange looking humans, whether mutant or not, have appeared around the globe in recent years, this woman seemed even more suspect. As the woman continued to talk, the agents of S.W.O.R.D. could hear a strange accent that the woman had. This accent did not sound like anything that have heard before. Maybe this was the reason because this woman was not a native speaker of any human language.

“Well, Ms. Marvel, looks like you’re up.” Abigail Brand told her newest agent.

“Yes Ma’am.” Carol turned to return to the express elevator. However, before she entered the elevator carriage, Abigail Brand intentionally coughed in order to get her attention.

“We have a hanger bay that you can use.”

“And you’re just telling me this now?” Ms. Marvel gestured at the elevator, which she just had taken to get into their base.
I'll see what I can do about a SS response sometime tonight.
What do you all think about me placing an interest check/recruitment thread in the casual forum looking for some high-casual players? Both the Advanced and General interest checks did not quite attract many people. Just wanted to see what all of you think.
So stupid question, but what was the name of the city out west that we were going to start RPing in come season 2?

Pacific Point
Oh, Sega Genesis. My first console. Sonic, Vector-man. Good times. We had the Spider-Man and the X-Men game where you fought Arcade.

I have a Ms. Marvel post almost done. But I wanted to ask @Sep what he was planning for AIM in his Captain America (and Avengers) arc. Don't want to step on any toes.
I just saw the stuff that happened with Civil War II and just... between that and Cap. Just fucking fed up with Marvel's bullshit right now.

Isn't that the reason why we're participating in this roleplay? I don't know about you, but besides Spider-Man being my favorite hero, the current direction that the Spider-Man comics are heading makes me want to find some other outlet for my Spider-Man craving.
@Angel Vicky @Bright_Ops @CA @Inuyasha @Chaotic Chao

Are all of you guys still here?

You're also a GM now. :p

I was in this game more than a year before I became a GM. ;)

@fdeviant: That's done.

Christopher Arthur III

“Alright, Icon. Meet me at the helicopter pad on Tartartus Island prison facility.” Before Chris could explain his plan, he noticed from the corner of his eye a blur. He then heard one of the speedsters speaking to him, although the metahuman was speaking so fast that Chris could only understand only part of what the man said. When the blur left, he saw Radiance lying on the floor.

“Sorry about that.” He told Icon, “Anyways, you know how planes or helicopters are sometimes used to carpet bomb a wildfire with water or some sort of fire deterrent? Well, what you’ll be doing is follows the same principle, except you’ll…”

Chris again was interrupted by Thunderbolt, who this time brought the White Witch, who was also knocked out. Just like last time, Chris could barely catch what the speedster was saying.

“Speedsters.” Chris muttered under his breath before continuing his instructions to Icon. “Where was I? Oh, yes. The same principle. However, you’ll be using whatever substance Doctor Diplodoc had planned to use to protect the prisons and other similar places from the domes. I’m 97 percent sure that the chemical cocktail will dissolve the domes, although I’m not very sure whether it will be effective in reverting those who have already transformed back into regular people. Any questions?

After he spoke with Icon, Chris was about ready to head out towards Tartartus Island, when Radiance suddenly woke up. She obviously had taken quite a beating, even though she seemed to mask it under a “I’m tough enough” attitude.

“How did I get here, and how do I get back?” She finally said. Then, just like an athlete who had just experienced a bad injury, demanded that she return back into the fray “We have a job to finish, and I’m not sitting this thing out.”

“Well…” Chris collected his thought before he responded to her question, “I’m assuming either Thunderbolt or Boom brought you here, said she’s not dead and ‘kay bye, then the speedster brought the White Witch here and said back in a flash and ‘kay bye.”

“Alright, whichever one of the two speedsters it was, they were speaking too quickly, so I’m not quite sure what they said. But please consider your own limits. I don’t want you killing yourself over this. But if you’re so hell bent on going back, I can get Thunderbolt or Boom back here.”
@Apollosarcher: I just wanted to make sure I'm understanding everything.

-The Shepherds have been ambushed (I assume before they reached Plegia?)
-Eastern Khan is trying to find the Shepherds?

So, could Marius (along with his brother, if you wish) be sent as reinforcements, while Abra could run into the Eastern Khan? I'm just throwing ideas out for how my characters can be introduced into the game. :)
