I have a Ms. Marvel post in the works. I just have some real life stuff that is far more important at the moment.

The Arizonan air felt unusually warm for this early March day. But this would be totally expected when the average low for this month in Phoenix is higher than that of Lost Haven and Columbus. I can actually walk around outside while wearing a dress without worrying about hypothermia. With the sun blazing in the sky, you might be fooled in believing that spring had come early.

After Athena dropped me off outside of Will’s apartment, we set off to the nearby Catholic church that was located near his college campus. Everything went without a hitch, or at least it did until the liturgy came to its sign of peace portion of the mass. Usually, during the sign of peace, parishioners would offer a handshake with the people seated around them. However, when I turned to Will, I questioned whether offering a handshake would be misinterpreted as ‘you’re in the friend zone’. On the other hand, I didn’t want to look like I was going ‘too fast’ by kissing him at the beginning of the date.

Knowing that I was definitely over thinking this, I just told myself to screw it and take the middle road. Even though it seemed as if he was going to offer a handshake, I instead just wrapped my arms around him and gave him a quick hug. Nothing too prolonged, though, because I didn’t want to make the people around us feel too uncomfortable by a public display of affection. But when I took a step back, I realized that Will’s face had become flushed with a red tint.

For the rest of the mass, I felt this tense atmosphere of awkwardness between the two of us. Luckily for us, we could just sit through the mass with our attention focused on the liturgy. We may have glanced at one another a couple times, such as at Communion, but otherwise we’re lucky that we were not standing together in an awkward silence, grasping at straws for anything to talk about.

After we had left mass, Will and I headed towards this little, locally run Greek restaurant, called Apollon, that was located just a short walk away from the nearby college campus. Inside, immediately when you entered into the building, there was a small open space where a couple circular tables were located. Beyond that was the cashier counter where you would make your order and additional seating down what seemed almost like a hallway.

Then we approached the front counter to place our orders. Since Will had been to this restaurant a couple times prior to today, I just ordered the same thing he did: a chicken wrap along with a salad and potato chip-like fries (God knows who thought that having some fresh veggies would counter the unhealthiness of some fried potatoes). Thank goodness for my superhuman metabolism.

“We only have Pepsi products. Is that fine?” The cashier asked after I ordered a coke as my beverage. I just nodded to signal my indifference. Sure, I would prefer Coca-Cola, but not enough to just flat-out refuse any Pepsi products. Along with our drinks, the woman handed us a little sign with the letter ‘Mu’ printed on the attached placard so that one of the servers could bring our food order to us.

After we picked out a table for two and took our seats, I thought it might be a good opportunity to address that elephant that was still in the room.

“I’m sorry about what happened back during mass.” I began, not quite sure to how else to address it besides the direct approach.

“Don’t worry about it.” Will replied. His laconic response was not quite what I was expecting or hoping for. However, before either of us could say anything else, a server came by and placed our orders in front of us.

“Would you two like to have a complementary fortune cookie?” The young looking man had long blonde hair under a hair net inquired.

“Wait. Are you appropriating a Chinese restaurant’s gimmick?”

“The Greeks had oracles and prophecies.” The man mentioned in response to my comment.

“We’ll take a pair.” Will said so that we could move on with our lunch before I got any further into an argument with the server. The man then set two packaged cookies on the table before he walked away from where we were sitting.

“Do you want to open them up first?” Will asked me as he passed one of the cookies over in my direction.

I picked up the package and ripped it open. Once I cracked open the cookie, I pulled out the small piece of paper so that I could read what was written on it.

τῇ καλλίστῃ

For the Most Beautiful

“You didn’t’ set this up, did you? Because I never heard of a Greek-styled restaurant giving out fortune cookies.”

However, when I looked up to see what was Will’s response, I discovered that he had a puzzled look at what was printed on his ‘fortune’. He decided to hand over the little scrap of paper so that I could see what it had on it.

ἀσκοῦ με τὸν προύχοντα μὴ λῦσαι πόδα

πρὶν ἂν πατρῴαν αὖθις ἑστίαν μόλω

Don’t uncork the neck of the wine-bottle

Before you arrive back at home.

Well, this probably answered my question. Unless he was faking his reaction to the text printed on that tiny sheet of paper, it seems like this was not some sort of elaborate scheme to complement me.

“That is probably the most complicated way to say don’t drink and drive

“On a kind of unrelated note, spiders can become intoxicated on caffeine because their metabolism cannot break down that compound.”

I then peered down at my three-quarters full glass of pop. “You don’t suppose that, because of well you know what, that can happen to…”

I pointed towards myself, trying to as subtly as I can not to reveal my superhuman identity.

And it's bullshit that, when you finish them, an inspirational quote isn't read out by Sean Bean across the world for all to hear anymore like it used to be back in civilized times.

Fixed that for you.

I have no idea what that is. Maybe I'm just getting old... LOL

It is basically a chatroom. It is intended to be used for video games (something like a mix between teamspeak and skype), but it can also be used as just a chatroom.
So, recently a discord channel was set up for the Create-A-Hero RPG. Would that be something you all would be interested in?
So. Uh. How long is it to season two? Becouse that collab fight seems to take like, the entire summers worth? Thats kind of.. ridicules.

We apologize for the delay. We're trying to wrap things up as soon as we can. It all just matters how quickly we can get these Collabs written.

Edit: stupid auto correct...
@HenryJonesJr: We're just wrapping things up. As soon as the two current arcs end, then we will move to season 2.

So, what is everyone's progress at the moment?
I'm going to wait until school is in full swing before waving the white flag. During the school year, people actually sometimes have more time because they are now on a regular schedule and don't have to spend time with the family as you would do over the summer.

Clint Barton | Barbara Morse

“Boring!” Hawkeye exclaimed as he shifted through yet another file of the countless records for Malcolm Donalbain’s sports emporium business. After S.H.I.E.L.D. had applied some pressure on Shirlee Bryant, causing her to spill the beans about how Mr. Donalbain was paying her to swipe the serum samples so that his own research team could develop new products to sell to his costumers. Without even breaking a sweat, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents managed to convince Mr. Donalbain that cooperating with them would be his best option. As a result, they began to search of premises for any more evidence, including through their paper files.

Even after a couple hours of sorting through a mound of boxes filled with all sorts of records, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents still had not found any more evidence. Either Donalbain was actually smart enough to keep his criminal activities off his record books or they were hidden in what was still a room-full of boxes left for them to check. Sure, this dirty work was not as exciting or glorifying as punching a villain in the face, but it still had to be done.

“This is peculiar.” Mockingbird mentioned aloud as she examined a blueprint of Donalbain’s office building.

“What do you have, Bobbi?” Hawkeye basically yawned as he stretched out his arms and legs after having been sitting for a couple hours now.

“Remember that downward staircase that had barriers set up to warn people that it was structurally compromised? According to these schematics, there should not be anything there.”

“Finally! Some action.” Hawkeye practically leaped out of his chair. He began to hurry out of the room, quickly shouting over his shoulder. “I’ll meet you there!”

Hawkeye was already out of the door before Mockingbird could even utter a word, let alone respond. Sighing, she calmly folded the building blueprint and returned it to its proper place in one of the filing boxes. She then stood up from her chair and began the short walk down the nearby hallway to where that ‘out-of-order’ stairwell was located.

After waiting a few minutes, Mockingbird saw Hawkeye hurrying over to where she was standing. Before he arrived, she wondered what was taking him so long, but once she saw Clint, Mockingbird immediately knew why he was the last S.H.I.E.L.D. agent present. He had taken the time to change into his purple uniform, along with grabbing his bow and quiver.

“Why are you all just standing here? We got work to do!” Hawkeye joked since he knew that they were waiting for him to finally arrive. He then pulled out two arrows, one at a time, and fired them into the ceiling right above the staircase. Once the arrows had plunged into the ceiling, a rope fell from the fletching side of each of the projectiles.

“You all stand guard up here while we go check this out.” Hawkeye told the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as he snatched one of the ropes. His other colleagues exhaled a sigh of disappointment, knowing that they had been assigned the ‘boring’ job. Despite their reaction, the two elite S.H.I.E.L.D. agents proceeded down the stairs, holding onto the ropes just in case there was actually some truth about the compromised nature of the stairs.

At the bottom of the staircase, Hawkeye and Mockingbird found a high-tech mechanical door that shielded another room on the other side.

“How much do you want to bet that AIM is on the other side of that door?” Hawkeye asked his partner while they fixed a few explosives to the locked door so that they could gain entrance to whatever lurked behind it. As usual, Mockingbird rolled her eyes at her partner’s joke.

After the explosions blew the door off its hinges, causing it to crash to the floor, Hawkeye and Mockingbird cautiously advanced toward the doorway, weapons drawn to defend themselves just in case.

“Alright, you crazy yellow-suited beekeepers! Come out with your hands up!” Hawkeye shouted into the doorway as the smoke started to dissipate. However, once they could clearly see into the next room, the two SHIELD agents were shocked that the scientists associated with A.I.M. were not there. Instead, there were dozens of men (or who appeared to be men) dressed in gray uniforms that were more fit for the costumed characters that have been popping up for the last couple years.

“I’m so glad you didn’t take me up on that bet.” Hawkeye said when he discovered that he was wrong to assume that AIM was behind the thief of scientific research from the University of Chicago.
