i like being on the most active roleplaying community oriented forum on the interwebz.
@Mahz Do you think it'd be possible for people to set their own front page, so that we could re-arrange the subforums to our own likes? I.e. I don't care about the persistent world stuff and frankly don't really want it at the top of my page. I care more for suggestions/problem forum (I like to read it sometimes) so I could move that upwards more.
Is that a thing that you can possibly do or is that literally impossible?

The color slider is essentially just the hex code function in a more user friendly setting. You're literally generating hex codes by dragging the cursor around.

Iie Hizen’s reign inspired fear in the Murakami clan, who suspected that their indifference towards clan politics and preference for isolation could be seen as insubordination - though they were a civilian clan. Iie Hizen probably wouldn't care because they were powerless to overthrow him As with other periods of strife during Amegakure’s history, the generations born under Iie were raised with a sense of severity and sheltered from noncivilian elements in the village whenever possible. Partway through this thirty-year period, the new clan head, Mamoru, found it imperative to try to integrate a few members of the clan into some of the shinobi institutions in order to not appear irreverent. Yayoi, showing some promise with regards to her chakra proficiency, was enrolled into the Academy. This did not really interest her too bad, kid, heh, as she more enjoyed the traditional skills typically taught to Murakami children - woodcutting and weaving, among other things. She did mediocre to passable on exams and was noted to be very lacking in her taijutsu, but excelled in areas involving chakra control. Outside of the Academy, she preferred to spend time with her civilian family, often running errands for her relatives around the village Sakura-chan! I mean Yayoi-chan!!! Or maybe more like Ino since she had the flowershop This had the effect of familiarizing her with other civilians within Amegakure as well as isolating her from the other Academy students. Yayoi feels intimidated by other genin but masks this with a slight air of passiveness yeah that's gonna help. i already decided she's gonna be in Sakana's team so that he can intimidate her more, and wishes to better integrate with the others - particularly with her cousin Katsutoshi’s ascension into the Bōdāgādo. heck yes protect that wall, i mean border

The Murakami clan is well-known in Amegakure, most of its few members outfitting various shops scattered throughout the village. So her reputation with shinobi probably isn't as thin spread as you think, given her family name is involved in so many shops, no? As many other civilian clans without place in a shinobi village and particularly without place in one of the Great Shinobi Countries, they suffered immensely during the First Shinobi War. Their small village was attacked in small border skirmishes preceding the war, and the Murakami clan - comprised mostly of woodcutters - was forced to try and defend themselves amidst the chaos. Suffering and without the resources to relocate, the clan’s issues worsened at the apex of the war, when their village became a battleground for shinobi of the larger countries. Among the civilian clans, many died not only at the hands of warring shinobi, but as a result of the village’s pillaging, which left many without resources for extended periods of time. The constant and rhythmic rain that had made the village so idyllic and peaceful now represented an unyielding omen of despair amidst the First Shinobi War, and the following years of bloody skirmishes and civil war.
While the Murakami were at first receptive to the shinobi settlers despite their unscrupulous origins - desperate for any levying of power - their enthusiasm quickly turned to dread and resentment as Amegakure became again a target, even as the war subsided. The clan withdraw socially within the village amidst the following coups and the unending succession of kage. Having tried to grow independent of external forces, members of the clan are traditionalists and generally become artisans within the village. While the clan is made up of civilians, they are hardy - leaning how to make baskets out of reeds to catch fish and other such practices at early ages. Members intimately value their family history and tend to distrust shinobi authority. that's bad because they're about to be shinobi right This should not be conflated with disrespect, but as rather insistent and persevering disdain. The sense of cynicism has been replaced with fear in more recent generations, given Iie Hizen's relentless rule - despite the period of peace.
Of interest is the thread of chakra proficiency that runs through the clan. Amidst the generations of war and chaos, members of the clan developed a technique to improve their archery as a means to survive. Trying to defend themselves from skirmishing and raiding shinobi was suicide with any sort of short-range weapon, but long-ranged bowmanship proved a better deterrent. Particularly against other civilians desperate to steal supplies in earlier periods of the clan’s history. Yayoi has improved upon this technique immensely as one of the few in her generation with a much higher chakra proficiency. good so she's only moderately useless and not entirely

Mid to long range support. Yayoi is a sensor type with proficiency in chakra control. While she does carry a yumi , its accuracy with regards to moving targets is nearly nonexistent - used more to draw out and direct targets. Still targets are often engaged in close combat, and she will not risk hitting a teammate. She prefers to shoot from mid-to-long range and punish enemies who stop moving to use ninjutsu or otherwise. that's a really well balanced weapon, props. If they stop they're dead, if they keep moving they're good but they can't really use jutsu as quickly

A generally pedestrian-looking bow, trilaminated with trees from around Amegakure. Like traditional yumi, it is asymmetrical and stands at about the same height as Yayoi. Its poundage hovers at around 110 lbs, and fluctuates depending on how far it is actually drawn. It can be stored in a seal, and when unstrung can be used to inflict blunt damage.
With regards to arrows: well-made non-wooden arrows are expensive and can be hard to come by, at least for someone of Yayoi's status. She has at most 40 reserved metal-tipped arrows, taking time to meticulously comb the battlefield to scavenge for the ash-forged tips after conflicts. Many of them are mismatched and recovered. The rest of her arrows are wooden-tipped and incredibly beat-up and rough-looking. fine

Given that he is the great-grandson of an Amekage one would be inclined to believe that he receives special treatment within the village. In truth he is treated no differently than any other young shinobi. Amegakure has almost always been at war, whether defending itself while two or more of the Great Five were fighting outside their doors or a brutal civil war was occurring. Respect and privilege aren’t handed out, not even to those descended from a Kage, they have to be earned through death and blood. plus the amount of Amekages is like... 15 or so now, so they're not even that special anymore. maybe if Ame was bigger like one of the great five nations, but nah. amekages are barely a shadow of a real kage

Youth: Motoki is a rare exception, especially in Amegakure, in the fact that he does not come from a broken home. lol true Both of his parents have survived every war they have participated in and they loved their child dearly when he was born but once he was done being born they hated him. His mother retired from active duty after his birth while his father remained in the Ame Black Ops. Once his son was old enough to walk he took a leave of absence to begin instructing his son, just like he had been by his mother. Motoki was taught to move through the world without a sound, learning to live in the shadows it's him... shadow the hedgehog... his edge can kill us watch out guys. It was during this time that he also learned about his family's affinity for bloodlust, and more importantly how to compartmentalize it to prevent it from bleeding over into day to day interactions. To aid him in this Motoki learned how to blend in with others, in essence how to charm and beguile.
School Years: Once he entered the academy the training at home lessened to allow him to focus on the skills he would need in order to advance to Genin and officially become an Ame Shinobi. He was a model student, listening closely during lectures, practicing the techniques they were shown, and interacting with his fellow classmates when able. Overall he was slightly above average, though his skill in the area of stealth and with the Henge in particular were noted. he failed at anything else bc he's a little bitch that can't fight face to face
Post Academy: After becoming a Genin his father resumed training him at full force and he started by teaching him the Hiding with Camouflage Jutsu footnote for others: i allowed him to exchange his .. what was it.. B ranks? or something for the A rank.. Whenever Motoki was not training with his team or on a mission he was training at home continuing to advance the skills needed for blending in, both within the shadows and within crowds. he uses makeup to make himself look like average shinobi. Along with being taught the Camouflage jutsu his father also gave him a wakizashi and taught him how to use it for their style of fighting.

The Susube clan has been part of Amegakure since shortly after the formation of the village. Their numbers have always been small, only a couple of families make up the clan, but every direct member of it has been a member of the Burakkuopusu. While they were known for their skills in stealth and deception the small size of the clan limited their exposure. It wasn’t until Susube Mao earned her place as Amekage that their name was really brought into the light. fine
The name Susube was not the only thing that became known at this time however, their bloodlust was finally seen by the village at large. There had been countless coups since the founding of the village, but the one lead by Mao was one of the most intricate and bloody. The group she lead moved through the shadows, tearing through any that stood between her and the current kage. The bloodshed did not end with him, given the position Mao had held in the Burakkuopusu prior to becoming Kage she was well equipped to snuff out any coups against her before they had a chance to mature. would've been cool if you shed more light on her motives (yes, im effectively handing control of Mao Susube's legacy over to you. deal with it.)
Since her death the Susube clan has largely reverted back to how they were prior to her reign, serving the village faithfully as members of the Burakkuopusu. The only significant difference is that they are treated a bit more cautiously by their fellow Ame Shinobi, now that their clan’s bloodlust has become known some are put off by how normal they are in their day to day lives. queue Sakana going ''aren't you the guys that killed the Amekage? Detail the characters' dreams and his fears. These are a good place to add additional depth to your character. Despite his friendly and outgoing personality Motoki’s only true dream is darker than most would anticipate, though given his family it becomes more expected. He hopes to one day join the Burakkuopusu as an assassination expert. His ambition does not end there however, no he wants to surpass his great-grandmother in the art of silent death. Advancing the legacy she left her family and help ensure that their name retains its place in history is his goal. Assassinate the king of kings to surpass her rererereere, this is kinda a basic dream but it works really well because Mao Susube is an established character in the history
As one would expect he harbours the natural fear that he will fall short of his dream, though this pales in comparison to his greatest cause of distress. Above all else he fears the possibility that he could lead to the fall of Amegakure in one form or another. This would not only mar his great-grandmother's name but it would guarantee his family name would be marred with disgust and scorn.

Motoki is a close range stealth specialist. All of his jutsu are designed to let him slip away from active combat and launch surprise attacks, or to begin an engagement from a position of stealth aiming to end or disable his opponents before they realize what has struck them. With his flexibility and speed he is capable of holding his own in close quarters combat, whittling away at his opponent with his tanto wakizashi while evading their strikes, but he avoids doing so unless absolutely necessary.
Due to the bloodlust inherited through the Susube family, and part in due to his youth, Motoki’s kill method is bloodier and slower than most. When he knows that an opponent needs to be taken out quickly he can contain it but if that is not the case he takes his time. He targets their hands/wrists first to make it more difficult for them to fight back before moving on to slash at their achilles tendons to prevent them from escaping. From there he whittles away at them slice by slice until they succumb to blood loss. pretty fucking ineffective way to kill enemies dawg
His mid and long range combat skills are limited to using throwing weapons such as kunai and shuriken. He is fairly accurate with them but he prefers ensuring the kill by getting up close and personal using stealth and distraction tactics.
