Beyond his normal appearance the only other piece that could be derived through dubious deduction is a trail of burn marks riddling both arms. Countless cigarette sized burn marks line the arms of Kasumi, which are promptly hidden by his long sleeves. Kasumi doesn’t have a very powerful build as he enjoys eating rather than working out, he has average muscle density and a soft outline of abdominal muscles.

As of the moment, Kasumi is going through quite the rebellious and edgy phase with his sense of fashion. Biography

▸ History:

Kasumi was born from a father who was originally from Kumogakure and a mother who was a native of Amegakure. The two had met during the end skirmish era after Kasumi’s father had grown tired and weary of the reclamation of the eight tailed beast. As Amegakure was becoming a more reputable name with exponential growth, it seemed like the proper choice. And so the two had met by some twist of fate and had fallen in love and thus copulated tmi. The result was the birth of Kasumi, the only child the two would bore. Life was good for a time, Kasumi had known a loving childhood up until the age of about six. That was however the turning point for the rest of his life. The more the rain flourished and prospered the rain didn't flourish and prosper - it stagnated and is barely maintaining the status quo at the moment, the higher the standard of living became. With a child trying to enter the evolving shinobi academy, the pressure for Kasumi’s father to provide for his family and become a shinobi was daunting. Old habits die hard however, as inhabitants of Kumo are known to blow hot air when it comes to arrogance. All bark and no bite. This case was extremely poignant to Kasumi’s father as the Kumo native became more and more reminiscent of his home body lifestyle.

Eventually, Kasumi’s father would perish under the mounting pressure to provide and disguise his cowardice by leaving to buy some cigarettes and never returning. Kasumi would face his first hardship in losing his father and a male role model in the house. This tinge of feeling unwanted would fester in his mind for the rest of his maturing life. At first the two had carried on with the false hope that the Arekuruu would arrive at their doorstep and bring news of his untimely death. With gentrification quickly eroding at the impoverished doorsteps, Kasumi’s mother was starting to fold. She needed something to take the edge off, in that desperation she found the only thing that could satiate her demons…or at least silence them for a moment. That solution being the ichor of evil, alcohol. Kasumi tentatively saw the degeneration in his mother, the lapse of the caring mother he once knew. Subtle at first, with her attention to him dropping. Then, it was the lack of food and clothing. Bottles upon bottles began to pile up. Soon enough Kasumi was taking care of his mother instead of the other way around.

It wasn’t until he began to mature more and more into the spitting image of his father did the beatings bore to fruition. Kasumi’s mother couldn’t stand to see the man who left her and the reason why he left all in one person yeah it's his fault that she got with a kumogakure shinobi who you uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh made follow the typical kumogakure way of leaving and never come back. kumogakure dads don't hang around huh?. The alcohol inhibited her sense of morality and compassion, instead it was a catalyst for her anger and repressed animosity. It started off with a slap which escalated into belts, slippers, really anything she could get a hand on. Kasumi couldn’t understand what possessed his mother to change nor how her vices became so paramount. It hurt him more to watch his mother turn against him than the beatings he received without retaliation. The worse her condition became, the heavier the punishment. Her favorite and soon to be trademarked punishment was putting out her cherried cigarette out on the delicate skin of Kasumi.

Like all tragic ninja stories, there was no silver lining for Kasumi. His mother would eventually succumb to the poison that she so pleasantly imbibed. Kasumi never did learn anything of his roots nor his clan. The only thing he had left to remember his mother by was his burns and a pack of cigarettes, the same brand his father went to get from the store. Eventually the Minashigo-in Koyo Sabisu would come and pluck the young orphan from his isolation and raise him to become a formidable shinobi, another child lost in the system. :thinking: more like GIVEN PURPOSE in the system :triumph:

Growing up Kasumi always took note of the changes his mother experienced, which days would be good or bad based on her behavior.

Not only does he want to perfect the best version of himself, but he also wants to become a formidable ninja with powerful jutsu and the mind of a great strategist. All of Kasumi’s motivation is based on self-interest and reparations.

Having been groomed by the MInashigo-in, Kasumi was able to unlock his clans bloodline trait. Noticing that his mother never aged or succumbed to any of the negative attributes to smoking, Kasumi always wondered why. This in turn was due to their natural affinity to any type of smoke. No smoking (AKA Enton/Smoke Release) allows for the user to freely manipulate smoke at will. This even includes inhalation, allowing the user to smoke without repercussion, in the same mechanism fish have gills to breathe in water. Having access to smoke gives the user an abundant list of jutsu that can be derived from the singular ability. This bloodline trait also allows for the user to control smoke that is not native to the user e.g. smoke from a house fire. Since the smoke is created without the aid of combustion, it can also be used underwater. Finally, the user can sense and detect chakra signatures or foreign bodies within the smoke granting a pseudo third-eye/vision.. sounds more like they can detect where there are holes in the smokes and effectively allows them to ''feel'' where people are. learning the height and weight of your teammate/their way of moving, etc. would allow him to discern between these factors.

No smoking is good for both offensive and support type of capabilities, giving the user flexibility to handle most situations. It allows for a sense of control in the battlefield if given enough time to set up.

Kasumi’s greatest and most complex smoke construct are his smoke soldiers. There are two ways that Kasumi can summon them, the first is a summoning contract. Having multiple scrolls binded with his soldier he can pour a concentrated amount of chakra to summon his soldiers. The second way is just by Kasumi expelling smoke from his mouth. The difference in the way they’re summoned dictates their programming. As the name implies they’re soliders, however the soldiers summoned through the scrolls have preset commands built in such as to attack aggressively or defensively and when to retreat. Whereas the ones without the scrolls operate based on verbal commands instead of preset ones he has a literal chakra connection with them -- he probably doesn't have to yell at them since he can use his chakra to communicate no?. At this stage, Kasumi can summon only 50 way too much for genin who can't even make a singular shadow clone, but by sacrificing quantity to gain quality, Morel can compress that amount to 15 still too much. These soldiers are quite complex and more durable than normal clones, on par with a summon.

Unlike his last technique, soldiers made with the scroll cannot be discerned from a normal shinobi, while ones without can. The soldiers are also weak to stronger tai and ninjutsu. smoke is intangible -- a single hit with any type of real object should probably do the trick right?

At higher ranks of this technique, Kasumi will be able to turn whole parts of his body into vapor and other allies or objects through line-of-sight. no to other allies -- but himself, yeah sure

As the name would suggest, Kasumi bellows out a massive amount of smoke which he then uses to encase himself and his opponent in an impenetrable barrier made out of said smoke. The prison is constantly shifting and moving, impregnable, unbreakable from inside or out.

Small particle sized objects can escape the prison. It can also be broken if the user in incapacitated. The prison drains more chakra the longer it’s used with a max benchmark of 10 minutes at the moment. 10 minutes is a long time if you want to use chakra to maintain the tangibility of the smoke. also why can't I blow the smoke away with futon? should be a way for someone to break free.

A very basic, but useful ability. Smoking gun allows for Kasumi to teleport. Using his fingers as a gun he can shoot a bullet of condensed smoke to a designated location where he can then teleport to, similar to the FTG technique. This can also be triggered through smoke bombs or any smoke created from his person, outside or foreign smoke is not compatible with this ability. Kasumi can create multiple bullets and also teleport objects through said vapor portals. Kasumi can also bring other people through these portals, and there’s a slight delay once opening a portal.

▸ Weaknesses:

His teleportation site is telegraphed and can be destroyed quite easily. Enemies can also follow him through the vapor portal if quick enough.

This is accomplished by Kasumi sucking in creating a vacuum that only sucks in smoke and nothing else. If there is any foreign or outside smoke, not produced by himself, Kasumi can suck in and swallow the smoke to replenish his resources and heal some minor injuries sustained during battle. I don't understand how smoke would heal him, like it's one thing to suck in his own chakra, but it's another to suck in non-chakra smoke and use it to heal him. besides you already have a decent jack of allt trades -- you dont need a FTG like jutsu AND healing on top of what he can already do

Not only does it act as a filtrating device, but it allows for Kasumi to have insane lunch k Choji capacity allowing for him to hold his breathe for extensive periods of time. Tsubasa has grey eyes and greyish-brown hair. Dull colouring is compounded by a dour expression, as she suffers from a serious case of 'resting bitchface' relatable af. In addition to her considerable height of 5'8" (as girls mature faster than boys still the weaker sex tho :^)), her severe brows, slightly askew nose and thin lips contribute to an ambiguously masculine appearance she is happy to leave be. ▸ History:

Tsubasa's story necessitates the retelling of her clan's fall into obscurity and obsolescence but, as a girl raised on tales of forefathers laying down their lives for Amegakure only to be forgotten, she wouldn't have it any other way. Once upon a time, her surname and the thunderbird crest stitched into her clothes would have carried prestige in the village. As late as the end of the Union Era, Shinjō ninja had a reputation for its incredible capacity to do violence in the form of their secret taijutsu, taught only in the compound's dōjō and to those of the bloodline.

But, as work dried up in this era of peace and its aftermath, especially for those would make their name on the front-lines, more children were encouraged into civilian pursuits. Even some graduates of the Academy traded in their offensive capabilities to specialise as medic-nin. Little by little, the clan's population dwindled due to hardship and marrying outside of the village, while its taijutsu arts were lost with each jōnin dead or deserted. By the time Tsubasa was born, generations later, there was only three families and one shinobi, who all squabbled over inheritances and feuds between cousins until they could barely stand to speak to each other.

Tsubasa was born to the last shinobi of her family, Shinjō Tatsuko, who had only been taught the clan's most basic techniques and used them to great success as a hunter-nin in Ame?, despite gaps in said knowledge. Of the kunoichi's three children, Tsubasa was the eldest by eight years. They lived with family members while their mother was on missions, given that their father, whose identity was and still is unknown, resided somewhere outwith the village. Some suspected he was a missing-nin that somehow charmed his way out of chains, but Tatsuko assured her children that none of it was true, and it was all just lies crafted by bitter cousins who failed out of the Academy.

Soon, Tsubasa was old enough to enroll to follow her own destiny, encouraged by her mother. When Tatsuko was not out on missions or in the hospital for wounds, exhaustion, or any number of self-inflicted injuries as a result of the clan techniques, she began to teach her daughter what little had been passed down. All that was left of Shinjō's taijutsu were crumbs after the birds had picked away at the bounty. First Tsubasa was taught the theory, then, when she was old enough to treat the matter with the serious attitude it deserved, she would have been introduced to the techniques themselves. Unfortunately, at the beginning of these lessons, her mother was sent out on a long-term mission, and would not return in time to finish them.

Tsubasa was also left her in charge of her two younger siblings when there were no related adults left in the village to watch them for months at a time. Home alone, the ninja-in-training made the monthly stipend stretch as far as she could, learning financial management at a young age. Often she had to pay out of pocket for expenses her mother hadn't foreseen, like her siblings civilian schooling, or new clothes and toys. Though perhaps unethical for an eleven year old to be working part-time jobs to stay afloat, it was deemed acceptable. As it turned out, the children who would soon defend the village were expected to be more adult than their civilian peers. i mean yeah we're sending them out to go kill other kids, so that makes sense

It is easy to say that if she had more free-time to study and practice, Tsubasa could have captured a top spot in her graduating class, but even under perfect circumstances it would have been unlikely. Every spare hour was dedicated not to history or calligraphy lessons or, heavens forbid, the kunoichi classes that she almost flunked, but rather the alluring prospect of chasing down her dream. Following old leads, Tsubasa asked estranged, elderly family members, some former combatants retired and senile, if they had anything more to share on clan jutsu, as they had trained her absentee mother. These lessons were fruitful in that, by graduation, she had the bare-bones of the techniques ready to go, and lives in hope that she might perfect them in the field.

Tsubasa had to take care of her younger siblings at the expense of her social life during her time at The Academy, and struggles to find the right things to say to make people like her. Nevertheless, her tendency to martyr herself performing tasks and errands for others that she was not asked to do seems innate.

The only way to prove it, in her mind, is to develop the Shinjō techniques lost over a century ago once more; to stay faithful to clan-specific jutsu, the memory of which is passed down exclusively in oral tradition. Tsubasa is a realist: scrolls that once contained this information have been scattered to the wind, sold on to collectors as curiosities, or worse, to shinobi of other villages. Still, she believes that if she earns enough coin and builds up a reputation, she might one day have access to something that distinctly sets her apart from other average ninja of civilian heritage.

The Shinjo Clan's Flash Flood style requires a user to maintain complete relaxation in combat and remain poised to defend all blows that would come for the centerline of the body, while subtly guiding the opponent's defense into a familiar pattern of blocks and parries that can be overwhelmed by a single blow. The user's chakra forms a thin outer layer on the arms to reduce damage taken while on the defensive.

▸ Weaknesses:

The style is, of course, short-ranged, so keeping a moderate distance from the user would be effective. Genjutsu and elemental techniques would be unaffected by Flash Flood at this level. It is draining and cannot be used for long stretches of combat more a limitation -- less a weakness. Additionally, it relies on the user's speed to keep up with the opponent's attacks and fake-outs, so someone more experienced would have a much easier time triumphing over it. relying on experience or so to create a weakness isn't really a weakness. yeah this technique wouldn't do shit vs. madara, but you're not fighting madara -- you're fighting probably other genin, chunin and jonin. so if someone uses another close range style, how would the response be? what if chakra disruption is used? etc.

The addition of chakra adds sudden force to the blow as it connects. While Tsubasa has learned how to use it, there is something missing from her execution of the technique, given that she has heard it can pulverise an earth wall and turn a training dummy to splinters.

▸ Weaknesses:

Short-ranged, cannot be used from a distance and any physical barrier would be effective. It's literally just a 'special punch' because Tsubasa isn't very good at it yet. Like other techniques, it is also incredibly draining for a genin – can be used once per fight, at most. also limitation, not weakness. if I break her arm she can't use this technique right? what if I block it with my arm? what happens? etc.

Hikaru was the youngest of three siblings born into the Hanamoto Clan. Hikaru's clan was famous for establishing an effective clinic that was started by his grandparents and continued up on this day. As medicinal products themselves were very scarce in Amagakure, it was no trouble for the Hanamoto Clan due to their kekkei genkai which has allowed them to create all-natural medicine and treatments that are more effective than traditional ones. Each of the members of the clan was taught to be selfless and kind in treating patients as everyone has equal rights to medicine Amegakure-care.

Even from an early age, other members of the clan began to see something different in Hikaru. While he does act masculine, his traits and features began to look more feminine as he grew older. From middle childhood to late teens, Hikaru began to attract the attention of men and the envy of women, resulting to him having many suitors even at a young age. His other clan members would even have bets on how long each of his suitors will find out that he is actually a male, followed by another bet on how they will react. Hikaru was upset about this, but learned to accept his fate when he found out his parents were also betting on him. It soon became a family tradition among them. what the fuck kinda fucked up family

Hikaru was enrolled in Genin academy, like all the members of his clan, for him to further develop the kekkei genkai of their clan as well as finding his own path in life. He did pretty well as a student and was commended by his precise control over chakra due to him being taught of the ways of the medical ninja even as a kid. However, one subject he sucked at was combat training and he was sometimes jokingly teased by his peers to just stay in the backgrounds so he can't scar his pretty face. Of course they were just joking when they said that but Hikaru knew that his peers, even his clan members, perceive him as weak and fragile because he was brought up in a very sheltered and over-protective upbringing due to how "pretty" he is prettiness is subjective. He vowed to himself that he would work hard and prove to them all that he isn't just a pretty face.

Gareki Minashigo or Minashigo Gareki, whichever you prefer, did not always carry that name. For many years he was nameless. He was the scary-new-boy, the ass(ash)-haired punk that started fights far too easily and spoke little-too-none. His early years at Minashigo-In Koyo Sabisu was harsh and fatally depressing. Out of every ten, there was perhaps one, that came without a edge. don't understand what you mean here? It was just unfortunate that Gareki wasn't one of those fairy jewels. No, he was coarse and unpolished. He knew very little coming into the orphanage and it showed. The kids often picked at his lack of "common sense" as they would call it. Just as he would pick apart how they would cry about dead parents, siblings, or just being orphans in general. He could do that cause he wasn't sure if he had lost anything in particular. His mind was foggy and for all he had known, Amegakure and the orphanage was his home. he was abducted calling it now

Time and isolation changes people, Gareki learned that at a young age, let's say six or seven psychologist in the making, the specifics aren't clear. However, what is pristine in his mind is that he had made friends. He had found his niche, his alcove away from the gentle loneliness. Because remember, he was never truly abandoned. His group was called the Umbrella Accord. They turned his abrasive nature into a protective force. At times new arrivals would cause chaos, older children would feel entitled and angry at the world. He even acquired his first name from one of them. Gareki often acted as a deterrent for his friends. Eventually, over time, they became something he liked. Something he appreciated. its VERY unclear what this accord is so you'll have to clarify. is it a gang within the orphanage?

Still, it was no surprise when it all changed. You see, the orphanage was also a facility that pushed the youngsters towards the shinobi life. Since his arrival all those years ago, Gareki Minashigo had showed an affinity towards violence. He was no prodigy, no born winner, but he didn't have anything holding him back either. He was a clean slate, given only a little to do. So becoming a decent Hidden Rain Ninja was on his bucket list. In the mist of doing so, a weird, horrifically painful, abnormality surfaced. Something that was only hinted at during his stay at the orphanage. Y'see, every other year or so, his left arm would balloon with moisture. And with every year it became worst and worst.

That was until a visiting Arekuruu figured it as a chakra problem--no wonder medicine wasn't working. After a few months under the watchful eye of the lone Arekuruu, he was presented with an apparatus that once latched on had dessicated his arm. She explained her theory, that he must be of the highly reclusive, Ayakashi Clan. Hearing the first hints of his past inspired little to nothing in him. That being said, being saved from a life-time of pain had sparked a drive to be like his savior. Ever since he's been training to become an Arekuruu, hoping to garner their attention through his exploits as a Genin. When he graduated from The Academy, his friends had begun to call him Diamond; short for Diamond-in-the-Rough.

_{The Ayakashi Clan}

Though it matters very little to Gareki, other more influential ninja may want to know the whispers of his heritage. The ripples they made in Amegakure and their current status. Let it be known that the Ayakashi Clan is a veiled yet very skilled clan. They first appeared in Amegakure a mere century ago, only not many had taken notice of them. How is that doable? one might ask, well you see the Ayakashi is quite literally a family of eleven ninja, who often disguise themselves as civilians. They are not huge or grandstanding, if anything they are more reclusive than their occupation would already presume. To be more precise one would do better to call them assassins.

They have a large assortment of clients, some of which will only do business with certain members of the family. This line of work ended up being something of a spotlight in Amegakure. A village which fiercely guards their boarders and incoming traffic had caught on quick. Much quicker than they were use too. They wanted a share of the riches the clan was bringing in. If nothing else the Ayakashi Clan was steadfast to their traditions, in short they were greedy. Because they refused to bow to village regulations they were forced to flee. Only, to flee from the Arekuruu was no easy feat. Two of their members were killed and another was captured. The captured woman became a "loyal" member of Arekuruu. it's not possible to be ''an unloyal'' member of the Arekuruu -- they're brainwashed from before they even enter the Arekuruu, it's not really possible to 'just' enter the arekuruu as you are hnd selected. this part strikes me as odd but the rest is fine

▸ Personality:

✓ Visceral.

Growing up in the orphanage where everyone is a target led him to trusting his gut feelings. Whether that be to lash out or stay silent, he trusts himself considerably.

✗ Simple-Minded.

Relying on "feelings" can only take someone so far. Due to his instinctive nature, Gareki isn't the smartest tool in the ninja pouch. This stacked on with his effective evasiveness of homework has dumbed him down a tad.

✓ Driven.

The Umbrella Accord taught him something subtle about himself. He never realized how determined he was until his duty or goal was always prevalent. He never left a job he wanted to do undone and always went beyond for his ambitions.

✗ Stubborn.

On the other hand, Gareki is infamous for being unruly and argumentive, especially on sensitive topics. Its unsavory but more-times-than-not it takes a firm hand and vivid realization for him concede. being a genin and being like this means trouble for most of the jonin i imagine

✓ Partial Empathy.

With so many troubled youths passing through the orphanage, all flaring with emotions, one gathers a bit of empathy. An understanding of what one could be going through with just a bit of insight. Now you might be wondering why partial is there, well Gareki is only empathetic towards those he "likes" only women, i get it.

✗ Apathy and Aggression

On the other-hand this partial empathy seemingly gives credence to the idea that anything beyond the scope of what he likes isn't worth exploring. This goes doubly so for people. He's always met those chaotic kids from the orphanage with a pinch of malice sprinkled in with his indifference. Mostly because a person's pride is hard to break with words alone.

Being born with a clean slate, without any baggage, gave him the opportunity to find himself much sooner than most people. He decided early on that with the few words he knew, he'd be honest with himself and others. Though I suppose it'd take someone as weird as Gareki to make that work.

Typically, he doesn't put on airs for others, plain and simple. His friends has voiced concerns about his uncouth behavior before, fearing that he'd end up dead or in prison for disrespecting someone of high-importance.

The boy differentiates good and bad, not by the actions one may take but purely on the actions one takes against him. The Arekuruu woman freed him from a pain that tormented him for years, and in doing so unintentionally made herself an idol. His motivations are purely to garner the admiration of the one adult he admires.

The God Arm, renamed Starved Arm by Gareki, absorbs Suiton and Raiton chakra/natural natures. Said chakra then initiates a transformation from the Starved Arm. Suiton chakra turns the arm into a liquid form capable of utilizing a plethora of jutsus. Likewise with Raiton, this chakra turns his arm into lightning granting him a variety of jutsus to use. Overcharging, removing the limiter, and training this KG will grant the user Chakra Cloaks (too far off to even think about).

Deploying powerful Raiton and Suiton jutsus without formal or practical training. The Starved Arm is also capable of nullifying jutsus to an extent. Also the Starved Arm is less like flesh and more like wood, making it good for blocking against certain non-chakra weapons. All injuries sustained to the Starved Arm is healed upon intaking chakra, to a degree, Gareki's body is healed too. it heals just the arm and then it's good

The Starved Arm is situational. Without a outside source of water or lightning his left arm remains mostly useless. It lacks near all the strength his right has, making his punches feel like puppy slaps without the power-up. If one wished to overwhelm him though, numbers could do it, with enough Raiton or Suiton jutsus thrown at his arm he'd eventually began to take damage. what about katon, doton, futon?

Using powerful Doton defense eliminates the force behind the Jutsu. If you have steel weapons one could simply counteract them that way as well. This justu can't be used unless Suiton: Starved Arm is in use. "can't be used if x and y" is a limitation and not a weakness

This Jutsu is two-fold. The first action is very simple and can happen before one realizes it. All Gareki must do is grab ahold of his opponent with his Starved Arm. Upon grabbing him/her the volume of the water in his arm expands suddenly, consuming his opponent in a sphere. From there, the density inside said water begins to squeeze on them from all sides, putting pressure on the lungs.

▸ Weaknesses:

Outside help is perhaps ones' best bet. Though there is a moment when the arm expands that one could perform a quick escape. A powerful S Rank Katon S rank is like super high, I'd put the required rank more at B rank. you're a genin dude lol and your technique needs an S rank to stop? technique could evaporate the water, likewise a B, A, or S Fuuton technique could separate the sphere from the source.

Its very telegraphws as the swing has to be a full swing. However, a B, A, or S rank Doton technique could block it. Anything less would break under it. An S rank Katon could evaporate it. most defensive doton techniques are not even B rank let alone A or S so that's very improbable. also, suiton is not noticeably strong vs doton -- in fact it's the opposite, doton is very strong versus water. so all of the above jutsu that need a x or y doton jutsu should be lowered. jutsu's like this would probably fare very well against katon jutsu, and would do poorly vs. doton

There are very few ways to escape this Jutsu, luck being one of them. However, should one spot the telegraphed index finger, a C or B rank Fuuton Fuuton is very strong vs. raiton apparently, so it shouldn't weaken it but nullify it technique could weaken it, while A and S nullifies it completely. A partner could be of use to dodge this or one could simply out run it. kawarimi or something like that would obviously work too

⒈ _{Akane was born to the current clan leader of the Furaribi, Subaru, and a seamstress in Amegakure named Ichika. The marriage between the two was "mostly" normal, though Ichika's family was greatly profited by the arrangement. She was mostly wanted due her skill in tailoring and had knowledge of spinning threads out of materials normally difficult to work with. Subaru found this trait to be useful, but he did like the docile woman regardless. She was a member of the Yuganori, which the Furaribi didn't typically like due to their shady nature, and swiftness of self profit. Many of the Furaribi Elders even make death threats upon Ichika, annually, though papa Subaru shuts that shit down real fast. Akane was raised like most Furaribi, following the tradition of leaving the child near the bonfire for three days after birth to familiarize them with the "spirits of fire" only visiting to feed and nurture the infant. Akane was born smaller than most Furaribi due to his mother's genetics, his body was less bulky, more skin and bone than muscle. Ichika babied the boy because of his small stature, even into his childhood, this would anger his father and a good majority of the rest of the clan. His training would need to start early so he could keep up with his clanmates.}
⒉ _{Akane's training was a lot harsher than most others in his clan, it was directly done through his father and he started with intermediate courses rather than the standard entry level ones younglings of his age would. These lessons involved harsh physical conditioning, fire training, and a practice called "The Temper" which is a teaching that forces the child into intense anger on a daily basis and the teacher identifies that anger to a trigger; this allows the Furarubi to harness their techniques more easily if they are having difficulty. The Furaribi were known for their sheer physical strength, so this would be what would be tensely focused upon him first. The clan specialized in taijutsu and kenjutsu ugh kenjutsu, which benefit greatly from raw strength and discipline; thus the training would start with harsh hardening of the boy's body. His father would perform his "Body of Fire Technique" which would cause his arms and legs to ignite in flames, allowing his taijutsu to incinerate his opponent. Reasoning for this harsh method was to condition the boy’s body to intense heat early on, or kill him in the process. welcome to the new blood mist -- the blood rain. enjoy your stay Akane would take on his father's training while he used this technique, sending the boy to the academy every day with singed hair, burn marks, bruises. He kept headstrong however, his mother coddling him every once in a while to reinforce the boy's mental health, even knitting her son a fireproof red scarf that he wouldn't wear all year long- but during the winter he would. In school he typically kept to himself, cautious eyes glanced at the boy; not out of fear but concern as he seemed to take brunt beatings on a daily basis. Training was harsh for everyobe, but it was to a degree that seemed, inhumane why do the other clans or the leader of the village stand by this? whats the reason for accepting that these guys basically kill their own kids. He knew as much of the outside world as his family allowed him, and he honestly didn't care much for it- just get strong enough so his dad would lay off, and make his mother happy as completely possible, that's how he got through his days.}
⒊ _{Everyone in the Rain goes through hardship. village of hardships after all Akane maintained his grades throughout his own, he would not reach the perfection expected of his father; but he would instead reach his own special type of niche. Rather than showing promise in taijutsu, he would accel in shurikenjutsu warranting his father to have a large Shuriken crafted for him. He was also expectedly proficient in the clan's innate skill of Fire Release and his father presses him to utilize the ashes of the Great Flame all the time. Within a few years he was making waves, his mother proud, even some respect from his father as little it would be worth. By no means was he a genius, just showing promise as any around his age should. The only thing that seemed to be his crutch was the fact that he was a bit misguided, his clan solved most of their disagreement among themselves by beating the shit out of eachother. While he didn’t see others doing that, Akane felt at a young age that this was normal and adjusted to such. Whenever someone said something to him that he disagreed with, he would leap to action with thrown fists and chomping teeth. lets have him meet someone stronger than him and try this}

Furaribi

The Land of Fire has seen many changes over the years and while they’ve had justifiably great leaders over the centuries it slowly developed into an place unsuitable for Furaribi. You see, the Furaribi are absolutely a people of war, they have revolved their entire culture around it. Long-long ago, Furaribi the First came across a mountain surrounded by ashen, blackened, trees and decided to climb said mountain to find the source that caused the forest around it to die. Reaching a cave near the summit of the mountain did not reveal some demon or monster, but instead a large flame of grandeur. The flame was old and everburning, Furaribi the First became obsessed with such a marvel of the world.

His first sons would be the ones to find that the flame was not so eternal, it took a few years but the inferno shrunk. The two Furaribi the Youngers tried many-many things to feed the flame and rekindle it to its former greatness, though no wood nor kindling did anything. When the time came for Furaribi the Older, he asked to be fed to the flame he adored so much, saying that it would be the only way he would die peacefully. Two reluctant sons agreed, and as he passed, they wrapped him in ceremonial cloth and fed the withering man to the flame. Strangely, as the last bits of the man were consumed by the Great Flame, it rose in strength once again filling the cavern walls with light and heat. It then dawned on the two Youngers that this special fire could only be fed with men.

The family would grow at a subtle pace, the flame would evolve from a spectacle to a piece of the clan’s heritage and over the years hunted targets in the Land of Fire would go missing. The strong shinobi of the Furaribi were never suspected, but guilty they were, taking anyone they could back to their Great Flame as a display of power amongst their clan. It was around this time that they learned of the chakra-rich ash beneath the flame, a young shinobi using it to produce an impressive fire technique with ease. This would devolve over the years, clan members seeking to impress others within the clan by offering more bodies than the fore to produce more ash. One particular clansmen Ikaku even stooped to the level of preying upon villagers and dressing them in recycled shinobi clothing to cover up his crimes.

Over time they were seen more as ceremonial murderers in than shinobi themselves, and distanced themselves more and more with each passing year to the point where it became difficult to live without killing and stealing from others. It is around this time that the Furaribi decided to leave the Land of Fire to look for greener pastures. It is still not known what exactly the Great Fire is, but th Furaribi are it as an effigy they must revolve their life of war and combat around. They to this day m, even in Ame feed the flame whenever the bodies appear for them, harvesting the ashes and using them in their techniques. and Yogensha or any other leader would be okay with this...... why?

Akane gives zero-shits about status or title, he’s been looked down upon within his own clan for such a long time and judges people on how they treat him. time to bully him

Akane is an inherently violent boy, this is caused by a mixture of his bloodline and the type of upbringing he’s had. This will cause Akane to resort to violence when under pressure.

✓ Chivalry Isn’t Dead

Ichika taught her son to treat women with respect, but not to coddle or demean them as lesser to himself. This stuck with Akane as a boy, which is unique within his clan as most Furaribi see women as lesser to men.

✗ Damaged

Being beaten throughout his childhood by his father has caused the boy to numb himself to pain, physical or psychological. While he is able recognize his wounds, he is often found being ignorant to danger and often even seeks it out. so he's stupid-brave

✓ Unwavering

Three words; persistence, persistence, persistence. That’s one word, but nonetheless, Akane will not cease from striving for something he desires. He might not be the most socially capable, but he damn well knows how to work hard for the things he wants.

✗ Eternal Grudge

Akane is spiteful towards many of his clansmen for the mistreatment of him and his mother. This is often seen when he is around a cousin or uncle, as he does not familiarize himself with them or acknowledge their feelings entirely.

✓ Hard Ass

Imagine being born in a family where man, so mean, and child, address their disputes by finding a sparring mat to beat one another into submission to prove their viewpoint. That is Furaribi. While Akane isn’t the stereotypical boisterous, pushy, violent red-head, he is not the type to be easily swayed from his own views. And if all else fails, he will attempt to brawl with the person who had such a disputed with him because that’s the Furaribi way, screw politics.

While it’s not an intended outcome of Akane’s upbringing, he has developed a fascination with fire and along with it “burning things”. He has been scolded and punished on several circumstances for burning insignificant things around the Furaribi estate, but it is a problem that still needs to be addressed.

All in all, he is dedicated to becoming a proficient shinobi for himself and his direct family to maintain to live up to their standard, and prove those who doubt him wrong more than anything.

▸ Description:

The Furaribi are a people who worship a giant bonfire beneath their estate. They revel in the flame, and it is said that the first Furaribi was even able to bathe in lava. Their heated temperament and destructive behavior is all represented in their clan’s jutsu. Furaribi Style is more typically utilized with katon natured jutsu, but there are earth and lava derivatives of it. These jutsu are brutal, to the untrained Furaribi they harm the body and destroy the environment around them. The most notable is the Body of Fire Technique, engulfing the shinobi’s torso and arms in flames looks like a superhero or something lol, hello is this Furaribi-man?. This utilized with their heavy-handed brawler style of taijutsu is a destructive force on the battlefield that is feared by the unprepared. Their source of strength is that of the ashes collected from the enemies they set ablaze might turn some heads, gathering up their remnant chakra and recycling it back into the flame.

▸ Strengths:

The style’s strength lies in the source of the chakra they utilize. The Great Flame is a great ancient bonfire that is integrated into the clan’s culture entirely. This unique flame is highly resistant to being extinguished and if constantly fueled by the dead of their enemies, casting their bodies into the flame to access more chakra. The ash produced by the bonfire is rich in chakra, and they gather this material to bolster their abilities and some even revolve their technique around this ash.

▸ Weaknesses:

The greatest crutch to the Furaribi style is that it is incredibly difficult to control, Their techniques are violent and chaotic and require the user to be in a similar mindset to perform them. While this is less apparent at lower levels, there is also the factor of requiring ash from the Great Flame to perform some of these techniques that inhibits their effectiveness greatly. this isn't really a weakness. yeah it's hard to control but that doesn't really tell me how to fight against it, it just means that it's a hard technique to master or something. but you were describing the style more than anything. i'm looking more for 'the jutsu's can evaporate water, but if enough water is used, the flames can be extinguished for a while' or something. obviously water is gonna be a weakness no matter how powerful your fire is -- and obviously your fire isn't gonna do much vs. earth except harden it, right?

Furaribi Style - Hotaru
Range: Short
Description: This jutsu takes the form of small embers quickly releasing from the shinobi’s body. Each small sum of fire is around two to three centimeters in size and act more as more of a deterrent than an offensive technique. Typically Hotaru is utilized alongside taijutsu to burn enemies they are brawling with, the embers are harmless to a Furaribi and a seasoned clansmen can maintain this technique for quite some time. The hand seals for performing the jutsu are boar, and an open hand. Activation for this technique doesn’t abruptly happen, the embers will steadily accumulate over time until a cloud is formed around the user. Chakra use for this technique is relatively low, however if maintained for extensive periods of time it could become exhausting. weakness?

Furaribi Style - Hanabi
Range: Melee
Description: Typically taking the form of a nintaijutsu, the shinobi utilizing Hanabi imbues one specific hand with excessive amounts of chakra before closing the gap between themselves and their target. If used in conjunction with Hotaru, the embers will be drawn in towards the hand making the intended use of this jutsu more difficult to escape from. The Furaribi will then attempt to place the channeled hand upon their target before forming the boar hand seal with their opposite, releasing a large blast of fire at point blank range upon their target. weakness?

Furaribi Style - Senkō Hanabi
Range: Medium
Description: A derivative of Hanabi and almost identical in practice, the shinobi focuses chakra into some form of melee weapon before releasing the fire natured chakra upon striking with said weapon. At lower levels this simply allows a youth to deal a high damage melee attack after some patience and concentration, though there are upper brass among the clan that can incinerate their opponent if this technique lands. Akane utilizes this technique at medium range, as he imbues his large shuriken with ashes collected from the Great Flame rich with chakra and upon contact with the enemy performs the boar seal to attempt to cause them to combust. weakness?
