@Akayaofthemoon Wait... so now we both have a Mom whose gone and a Dad that's sucked into their job. I swear I'm not doing this on purpose!
@Akayaofthemoon Made the changes to Yancy's profile I PM'ed you about. Mostly the part about his mom not being around.
I hate to say it but I think I might be losing my muse. I seem to have made my character a bit too mundane because it's leaving me wondering what to even do with him.
@Weird Tales@Genon@Chev

Where are you guys? We're waiting on you.

Morning, it was always a drag. Just when one was starting to enjoy their sleep, they'd peek at their phone only to find that the night was already gone and that was time to get out of bad. Yancy dragged himself to his feet with a groggy mumble. Moments like this made him almost regret having a summer job. How many others were still in bed, probably not intending to get up for another two or three hours at least? Meanwhile Yancy was up at the crack of dawn, staring at his tired face in the mirror while he brushed his teeth and ran his comb back through his hair. Sure, the feeling sleepiness and dread would be gone in an hour or two, but that didn't make the early morning feel like any less of slog.

After getting dressed, Yancy found himself in the kitchen, waiting for his bread to pop out of the toaster. Yancy was on his own in terms of figuring out breakfast. Dad was already gone, big surprise. Surely some toast and maybe a quick coffee on the way to the Shack would be enough, right? When the toast was finally done he yanked it out of the toaster and held it in his hand. With that he was out the door, toast still in hand and he munched on it as he went along. And it was about this time that Yancy started realizing the drawback of working at the Shack. He'd have to walk there, and the Shack was nestled besides the woods and just outside town. Bit of a distance to walk, but Yancy had made this bed and he was determined to lie in it no matter what.

"Hmm, is the Diner even open this early in the morning? If I swing by there only for it to still be closed then this going end up being an annoying morning..." he mumbled this to himself as he walked. He made his way in the direction of the diner, hoping to God he wasn't wasting his time. Between the actual trek to the Mystery Shack and whatever work he'd get saddled with once he was there, this cup of coffee was downright vital if Yancy didn't want the rest of day to end up being miserable. Well, it wouldn't be completely bad, since the girl running the register was probably going to be around for a lot of it. If Yancy was honest with himself, she may have been part of the reason he was willing to walk this distance to work every morning.

"Alright Yogel, head out of the clouds." he told himself as he slapped his cheeks with his hands in an attempt to get rid of some more of the grogginess. He'd long since finished off the toast, and he could see Diner slowly approaching in the distance. He had to remember his real motivation for this. If he wanted to eventually move out of here, then he'd need some money saved up. He landed this job, and now it was time to actually hold onto it.
Been looking at evolutionary lines in search of a partner. Is it just me or does, like, every single Digimon in existence end up with at least one Royal Knight somewhere in their line at the end? Heck, sometimes they have 2 or even 3 of them thrown in! Like, seriously, I'd like a partner that doesn't just devolve into a bland Royal Knight mega form but... geez those are harder to find than you might think.
Consider my hat to be thrown in as well.

RP Level Preferred: Casual or Advanced. Either/or is fine to me.
Character Age Preferred: Probably somewhere in 15-25 range I guess?
Location Preference: Yeah this one's kinda tough to answer. I suppose we could be absolutely cliche and go with something like New York or L.A. but... I dunno. Depending on how much takes place within Elysium you could probably get away with characters coming from different cities and simply meeting up online. *shrug*
Digimon Familiarity: I've known of and watched Digimon since the days of Adventure and Adventure 02. I will confess however that I only really watched the anime through Frontier at most so just about anything from Savers and beyond is new to me. In terms of the games, I've played a bit of DS games (World and Dawn/Dusk) but not to completion, but I have played all the way through Hacker's Memory (not Cyber Sleuths, though, but Hacker's Memory gave me the gist of it regardless).

If I may also humbly ask something else? Are we going to rely as heavily on the Royal Knights as the Story games do? I guess I'm a little fatigued by all the screen time the Royal Knights always seem to get and it would be nice to show some love to the Demon Lords or Olympus XII.
@Akayaofthemoon Job interviews don't exist in fiction. Everyone knows you just walk in, ask if they're hiring, and then prove yourself in hijinks that inevitably ensue.

Seriously, though, how many times do you ever see the actual hiring process as it works in real life? To be fair, that stuff is incredibly boring so it makes sense to just skip it. lol

"...our people either have to change or die. There's just not enough of us left to carry on the way we used to."

That gave the Prince some momentary pause. She wasn't wrong. The Saiyan people were on the brink of extinction, and them killing each other to satisfy the ego of Okura - or even Negi himself - was not making things any better for them. And while Negi's time on this planet had allowed him to reign in his Saiyan Pride considerably, he could not say the same for Okura. Indeed, his brother's stubborn pride likely only increased since that day five years ago. Negi had a sinking feeling that he would be left with no other choice but to fight, whether they liked it or not, "When this fight's over, maybe let's you and I see if we can learn a bit more about this planet. Like it or not, Earth is gonna have to become our home for the foreseeable future." he told Tabaga, making ready to continue the flight toward their enemies.

That was when Juze asked his question, "Well... I guess that's one way to put it." was Negi's response. He - and presumably the rest - were in mid-flight by now, "But that may also be oversimplifying it. Saiyans are born with an instinct to fight, its the first thing most of us thought and desired from the day we were born. It's in our blood."

Meanwhile at the Archipelago, Korun stood with his arms crossed in front of him. Soon he was tapping his boot with impatience. He wanted nothing but to take on Negi from the moment his pod crashed on this miserable little rock. All this waiting only served to make him start thinking about why he was here in the first place. He thought back to someone from his home planet, someone who should have been off planet when the Meteor struck, but instead was left behind to eventually die. Those thoughts made Korun clench his fists tightly as he felt his battle power slowly rise alongside his anger and frustration.

"Nngaah!" Korun suddenly yelled out. His patience had worn thin, "Enough waiting for that bastard! I'm going to him!" and before Po, Jagen, or anyone could protest or stop him, Korun took off into the sky and rocketed in the direction of Negi and the Earthlings he led.

"Wait, don't-" Jagen tried to order Korun to stand down but he was already gone. He shot Po a glare intended to order him to stay put, "If Korun is so eager to rush into certain death then let him learn the hard way what happens to those who cannot control themselves."

Back with the group, Negi's scouter suddenly beeped to alert him to an approaching battle power. The others almost certainly sensed it coming just beforehand, "Guess someone got a little impatient, look alive everyone!" Negi said, hoping none of them panicked or tried to rush forward. From out of the sky, a powerful Ki blast hurtled into the group, seeming to be aimed at Cheral. Perhaps they spotted her suit and mistook it for Saiyan battle armor. And then, with little other build up, Korun appeared, suddenly floating directly in front of Negi.

"Finally... I've waited a long time for this, Negi. Time for you to pay!" Korun said, almost growling out the words. These were not the words of someone loyal to either of the Princes. These were the words of someone only looking for revenge and nothing else.

"I see..." Negi said, a knowing hint of regret in his tone, "...then I guess convincing you to stand down is off the table." it seemed pretty obvious that Korun had a personal grudge against Negi that the Prince seemed to be aware of. But there were no other words. Negi immediately let loose with a point-blank Ki Blast while simultaneously moving backward to try to keep his distance.
@Akayaofthemoon So are we going to act out the process of Yancy getting hired or would you rather me open up with his first day at work?
