this is why I brought all the soldier bees back again, so we can have a laser light show if things go bad or just bring their food to calm everything down. admittedly our least suited to combat member was not who i expected to take physical action but this should be very interesting as a result.

on the topic of the meanwhile sugestion I rather like the idea, either as plot or just amusing/interesting world building asides in the maner of Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy entires or Terry Pratchett's books's footnotes
The bees watched Toony’s bowl construction trick with wide eyes before engaging in a group huddle to discuss what they might ask the robot for, which was only interrupted by the arrival of food brought most graciously by Vanessa.

”Thank you Vanessa, I assume there is something up with the standard delivery method?”

The bees broke their huddle and immediately dug in so when the Large humanoid who was so rude too as not introduce himself and had the audacity to try and take someone else's food arrived The Mind had wrestle the two captain bees to turn round and actually look at him.

In an attempt to prepare for the worst and perhaps reduce the impact on their Gold Star standing that starting a fight in a Henderson ribs would bring the 75 bees that had so recently vacated the premises came back in the door and headed for the kitchen. After some confusion and explaining to Clarke that this was not, in fact, a robbery the groups started ferrying out all the other tables orders as well, with only minor losses to the hungry deliverers. They made the decision of pointedly leaving the impatient big man’s lot till last, their delivery would probably occur some time after this situation had resolved itself.

Of that situation, the two captain bees who had been forced to pay attention now glared at the intruder with all the confidence they could muster against someone probably a 100 times their height. The Mind, having no such concern due to being present in the now relaying bees as well, still decided to try to put on the airs of being diplomatic so that when either of the deceptively strong ladies(or one considerably more obviously strong lady, basically anyone who wasn't currently sleepy or Fiddlesticks) intervened they could claim the moral high ground.

”Judging by the clock I would say we our food arrived right on time, Vanessa was simply proactive about its retrieval. As for what we are doing, that is non of your business and frankly there's more than enough problems that need fixing that there is no way you can handle them all. Honestly I would surprised if you managed even one. What even is a Flowjink?”

Unfortunately, as every amateur xenologist knows, the race choice of hive-mind comes with massive penalties in it's diplomacy stat, so The Mind was not so adept at dealing with those that may be considered an enemy. If the response where to be rated by hive-mind scholars of the diplomatic arts it would have got an A simply for not being an incomprehensible psychic cacophony followed by planetary invasion.

Neither the Bees or the Mind could do much about the large hand before it arrived, distracted or disembodied as they where, so they would have to leave it up to the wonder of the sweet potato fries to defend their meal and honor physically if they so desired.

Then he beats the Mugen Virus with his fists and his new found self worth, gets all the ladies (and Quina Quen), Mario change their last name name to the Luigi and finally Luigi rides of into the sunset on the back of the sun goddess while everyone else rides Mudsdale. the end, the song 'we are number one but every 'we are number one' is replaced with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhZ6zKuZFY0' plays over the credits.
@Fancy Party
just press quote on both posts and you will get both posts in their own little quote box things.
Also, haha, that scene with The Mind/captain The Will and all the bees breaking out their individual knives/weapons. That was great.

thanks, I am glad you found it funny.

Out of curiosity, if a character had multiple personalities, would each personality have to be named on the character sheet? Not that I'm planning a character with multiple personalities, I just think it would be kind of funny to see a conversation between that person's personalities and the bees.

I mean if you where doing that then yeah, you would need to define the sub chars. I've been part of an rp where everyone has 2 personalities and a familiar on their char sheet. although that generally involved talking to themselves a lot about the conversation rather than 6 person conversations every time an interaction happened. at least that's what I saw from the others.
I am also up for this. I imagine this http://dirkloechel.deviantart.com/art/Size-Comparison-Science-Fiction-Spaceships-398790051 chart might be useful for the rp. I was thinking Supreme commander, x-com or warhammer 40k as universes to draw from but I will have a think on that to see if i can come up with some other ideas
@Valor
oh woops, i missed your last post. my bad.
I was kind of waiting for Tik-Tik and Vondon to post in the oc before I posted again, though Hylozoist having the food arrive makes a good deadline. Also it looks like we are going to a party as things are going. Streamers, balloons, party hats and hard drugs for everyone. though we might not have one of those things on board for legal reasons.
The Sons of Medusa’s salvaging practices had originated when they were but cast offs from their parent chapter, with only a few ships, the armor and weapons they carried and no Departmento Munitorum support. Any replacement equipment and ammunition had to be either made or taken from those who had it, namely any enemies of the Imperium that used equipment created by it. They had managed to become a full and successful chapter despite supply problems and it had instilled a continued practice of taking any opportunity to acquire new materials.

Those pieces reclaimed from those that have turned on the Imperium have served me and my chapter well since our founding. Steel, once cleansed, can be put back to work where the wearer has succumbed to the weakness of the flesh.

The map concern was reasonable, though Draksal thought that maybe a map with large amounts of censoring might have been useful and not so dangerous to leak. Also a map stored in the mind could potentially be ripped out of a psyker, so their plan did not entirely stop the enemy learning of the watch station and it’s contents. Still, in the end it was a reasonable security approach even if it was inconvenient so he simply nodded in understanding

Laughter, from a son of Ferrus? Even if it was a binary package and not a emotional reflex that was still odd. Still the ability to continue on the path was good news.

That is fortuitous, I was intending on replacing my other arm next to correct the weight imbalance

Then came the knowledge of other with the art of Techno-exorcism and that he could be introduced after the first mission.

That’s when they might be needed anyway, though with deathwatch primarily anti xenos endeavors I imagine they do not have much need of it. It is useful to know nonetheless. Thank you for your answers Brother Berumedes

With that the Techmarine strode of through the halls and Draksal followed, such wordless action and expectation of being followed a normality for him and he was as excited as it was possible to be with the emotionless nature of an iron mind to see the treasures of the armory. It was a shame he was sworn to secrecy on what he would find within, though with the Mechanicus’s jealous hording of the most advanced tech available to mankind such a state of affairs was to be expected in the Imperium. Omnissiah forbid the devices of the Deathwatch fell into the hands of some that would use them against the imperium, such as the Lamenters who apparently had members in this watch despite their chapters crime. Why they had not been thrown out to join their chapter on their mercifully granted suicidal crusade was beyond him. What he was not expecting was Brother Berumedes’s quip along with his question of the weakness of his fellow initiates.

That was two times the Iron Hand had displayed a sense of Humor. It seemed that the rumors circling around the successors of the Iron Hands might be true, that at some point the Iron Hands had had some change of Ideology. At around the same time that "With steel we are stronger, but without a soul we are nothing." became part of their Iron Father's preaching they had exhibited a slow turn away from emotional suppression and dehumanization of their minds. An interesting development in the chapter that was for sure, it was often wondered what event could have so shaken the Iron Hands ideology as whatever it was they were not telling anyone what had happened, even though they had lost almost a third of their numbers around the same time.

Back to the question at hand, it was difficult to judge based on their cursory introductions and half overheard conversation with their own guiding marines the problems that might arise from them but it was probably best to analyse what he new now before they became a problem in the heat of battle.

From what I have seen brother Inri appears to be rather full of himself, either from being an Ultramarine or from leading the chapter's newest members giving him a false sense of superiority. It is most concerning.

As the sergeant of a devastator squad his opinion of those responsible for the previous training for his squad members was mixed. Some he received were very adept at exploding things but they all had to be trained that while it did well to tread softly the big gun was the imported part of being a marine and the application of firepower was paramount to victory. It was also very annoying when the sneaky buggers complained about fire whizzing past them as they did their thing. Stealth went both ways and unfortunately in the heat of battle it was sometimes difficult to spot a scout crawling around while you were trying to shoot some giant monstrosity. He had been known to argue that, yes, while we could have them crawl all the way up to the tank and place a detpack on it, we can also just shoot it till it explodes which would be faster and much more likely to succeed.

Then we have ‘Sorrow’ and the Iron Champion Cornelius, neither whom I like the idea of working with. Sorrow is an unknown factor for whatever crime he committed, though his loyalty is probably assured, only the most foolish of enemy would commit himself to the deathwatch. The Iron Champion’s Founding Chapter the Executioners have fought against the Imperium because of some supposed debt to the treacherous Astral Claws, it is possible that Brother Cornelius may put some supposed honer before Duty to the Emperor as they did.

Draksal stopped for a moment considering the rest.

As for the others, apart from their flesh, we shall have to see if the brothers Berauth or Ironmarch run in front of my firing line in a blind rage, if Brother Berauth causes problem with religious arguments or Brother Felbane has issues with no longer being in command of a company and instead equal in rank to former sergeants and battle brothers

If everyone could please let me know in character or in the ooc if you have some preference for which mission we go on(as I think we currently have 1 suggestion). because I am assuming as both the captain and 80% of the tables voting base I will be the one with the final say in what we do in the end, so we actually leave the restaurant at some point(@Hylozoist please correct me if i am wrong on this) and will be doing so after everyone has a post about the news letter. sorry if I missed any that have been made so far for the yes camp, let me know if I have.
