Adding to that, unless you are exhibiting life threatening symptoms (unable to breathe, etc) go to a rapid test site in your area than going to the ER. Local ERs are swamped and overwhelmed here.

Are the abilities I gave Michi’s weapons alright?
I'm a little worried that weapon abilities seem quite powerful for the beginning of the story. They'd be more serviceable later as characters gain more notoriety and find better treasure, as well as growing their own personal strengths. The "walking on water as long as the blade is on the person" bit seems a bit powerful, especially coupled with his wind sword. It would make very cool fight scenes, but I fear Michi would easily wreck enemies that the other characters would have a harder time fighting, taking away from some of the drama of combat.
Excellent stuff! I'm really excited to dig into these CS's and start mapping out more secret stuff!
I believe a pretty easy reason for Marea could be either her adoptive father giving her a request or just wanting to go along with Marlowe to make sure he stays fine during his shenanigans.
If you'd like, I could flesh out the relationships she has with the South Sea folk.
You haven't even imagined Marlowe shenanigans yet. In the opening post I've been building up, he even makes children embarrassed. But yeah, more fleshing out only leads to better things!
Good stuffs everyone. I've been looking through CS's whilst grading an almost countless sea of tests and essays. There are characters I really enjoy, characters that I feel could use retooling, and characters that I feel need more information or more fleshing out.
One thing to consider is why your character would go on an adventure? Happy-go-lucky types are okay, but even Marlowe will have a drive or a goal to reach far beyond his simple "I want to see the world" mindset. Revenge, lost honor, forbidden knowledge, love; all of these are things are what give characters purpose beyond simple meandering.
A member of my secret Illuminati council said it best: what's all the skill in the world against the drive of a desperate man or woman? What drives people to seek out ancient treasure and certain doom? For some it's fool's luck and a naive sense of adventure, but others have starving families, sick children, dead parents, etc to spur them on.

I am going to spend time meticulously going through everyone’s characters to see who what characters would best fit the story. Diverse characters, interesting histories,secrets to be found...all are good marks.
Oh! I do have a thing to say to everyone with a CS already. Everyone is born with an aether sign, even if they don’t use Aether. Children born during the day are marked with the sign of the sun, children born at night are marked with the sign of the moon. It’s seen as bad luck if a child is born during an eclipse,like my character. Hence why he narratively lacks a sign. I apologize for not making that clear.
