Kimura Yuuki

15 | Male | 121 lbs | 5'3
???Magical Affinity | Non-Native | Human

Description
A displaced youth from another world who hopes to find some semblance of peace and kindness after a life mired in bitterness and apathy. But there's still a part of him that yearns for the world he left behind, for a chance to tie up the knots he had left hanging, to at least make sure that the ones he cares about know that he's doing alright, even if he isn't.

Appearance Description

More cute than cool, more beta than alpha, Yuuki has a dimunitive frame that's complemented by his unimpressive height of 5'3 and large eyes that give him the impression of a small animal. His face is baby-like as well, comfortably round, while his hands are the soft hands of a boy that never worked a day of his life. A pale complexion makes him reminiscent of the children of northern plains, while the brightness and warmth of his eyes speaks volumes of the type of person he is. He instinctively dresses warmly, preferring coats to shirts, scarves to sunglasses, even if logic dictates that such clothing is worthless on a warm summer's day. Yuuki doesn't care. It's just his preference.

Personality

Some would consider Yuuki to be kind to a fault, to the extent that it's clear he's a spineless pacifist who would smile and nod even as you hurled abuse towards him. They are right. He is that type of person, a silly doofus who can laugh off jabs and who refuses to throw punches in response to provocation. Life's too short to be held down by grudges, after all, and as far as he's concerned, everything will work out as long as people took the time to listen and compromise. A bit of a romanticist, a bit of an airhead, Yuuki takes everything in stride and does his best to stay under the radar and out of trouble. After all, he'd feel bad if he'd have to tread onto others in order to get what he needed, and he'd feel just as bad if people went out of their way to trouble themselves with his own affairs. Those are his own problems, not theirs, and though he would hypocritically offer his own help to others, Yuuki's not all that interested in receiving the help of others. The pride of a rabbit, perhaps? Or maybe the stubbornness of a self-deprecating dork? Who knows.

Despite being someone who loves sappy ideas of 'true love' and 'fated meetings', he's never been in a proper relationship, nor has he ever fully garnered the interest or attention of another. When confronted with the attraction of others, there is no doubt that Yuuki will melt into a stammering mess of embarrassment and regret.

Bio

Yuuki's life was as normal as it could have been. He was born as the eldest son, treated his younger sister as well as he could have, cared for his father when his mother left, and was generally a good student in school. Other kids caused troubles. Other kids were more remarkable. Other kids got into relationships. But he stayed in the center of those great circles, managing to remain on friendly terms with all of them. Yuuki didn't want to create waves, nor did he have any delusions of grandeur that was common amongst his age group. Heroism was hard, while hedonism seemed exhausting. Given a choice, he'd always take the path of least resistance, drifting through life peacefully.

But then he met a girl he could side with, someone who he was willing to take a harder path with. A girl with a guitar, dreaming of a brighter future despite the inevitability of fate, the world that sought to take everything from her. If he was with her, he thought he could change. If he was with her, he thought he should change.

So Yuuki, the half-baked pacifist who meandered through life despite all the sacrifices it took, decided to run away with her. From the remains of his family, from the snowbound city, from the systems that governed the world, from everything and nothing, to something new.

On a clear, starry night, he said his prayers to his mother and his sister.

On a clear, starry night, he ran out in his first and last act of rebellion.

On a clear, starry night, he found himself on a bright, sunny day.

The brightest eyes cast the darkest shadows.

Sharper minds would know that even rabbits have fangs.

Even now, he remembers her crackling voice.
Hm, just a thought...but is burying people alive actually an instant kill? All things considered, I would imagine that our characters are strong enough to blast through dirt fairly easily. Along a similar vein of thought, an unblockable attack doesn't necessarily equate to an undodgeable attack, nor does it mean it's a fatal attack.

A part of her still missed it, really.

The satisfying sensation of throwing someone over her shoulder every Monday and Wednesday, watching the air burst out of their lungs as a mixture of astonishment and respect bloomed over their expression.

The addictive pain that shook through her forearms on every Tuesday and Thursday, when a high speed serve was received perfectly and launched so high into the air that it would graze the lights, while her team assembled into a synchronized offensive.

As she passed by the gym, hearing the shouts of former classmates, Maiko turned in that direction, caught a glimpse of Miso City High’s yellow-and-white uniform through the faded glass. Green eyes lingered for just a moment, before she turned away once more, bobbing her head to the exquisite DnB track by DJ Miche. A part of her did, but another part knew that such clubs wouldn’t bring her anywhere special, anywhere new. For that, there was only one place for a battle junkie like her to go.

The Detention Club.

A quick stop at the vending machine for some red bean soup and she skipped up three flights of stairs to reach the westward classroom that served as the headquarters for Miso City’s edgy reboot of a Magical Girl team. Throwing the door to the side and causing loud bang, Maiko stepped into the room with a cheery “Sup!” before cracking open her lukewarm can and taking a swig. Cookies were provided as well, and the sporty girl took those three at a time, going through six of the much too small confections in three seconds.

Black Shot, the edgy two-faced weirdo.

Fortuna, the frigid bitch with a sweet ride.

Fallen Prince, the girl straight out of a chuuni’s wet dream.

Wither, the one who was even WORSE than the little prince in that regard.

“Not the cheeriest group today, eh?” Maiko remarked, plopping down on a seat in a particularly manly manner. “Little birdie told me that y’all cracked down on a horde of ants last night. How did that go? They didn’t fuse or nothing, right?”

She sure hoped the Nightmares didn’t. It’d been two goddamn weeks since she’s fought any Nightmare worth her time and if yesterday had been that sought-after big boy, she was seriously going to have to bully the fuck out of her manager for her shit shift management skills.
Cool. How should I start IC-wise?
@TheWindel
Yup. It's purely self-targetted now.
@KoL
First point is due to how she's aware that she won't be a magical girl forever, either through corruption, death, or family obligations. Also, there probably isn't any case that she's aware of where a 20-30 year old woman with a family became a magical girl, so yeeee.

Second point is because her brother is talented enough to live as he wants do, doing crazy shit that sounds like it belongs to a different genre, and she has no small amount of jealousy towards him in that regard.

Ah, it's less an issue of the RP being too fast and more an issue of it being tooo slow. I can do a post every couple days fairly easily, but one every half month would be a bit hellish for my personal pace preference. XD
I'll keep an eye on this. How fast do you want the RP to be progressing, post rate wise?
