I love incorporating part of the story into your background, very unique. Just be aware that it takes four years to graduate the academy so he would be 28-29 if he died at 24 and joined the academy soon afterwards.

Nimble Fury: I can accept this being as powerful with a low cooldown, with the offset that it drains a decent amount of spirit energy with each consecutive use. At least until it's upgraded.

Your Zanpakuto Type would most likely fall into the Power category.

There's an NPC that uses Iaijutsu style of fighting, which is what your abilities is reminiscent to. That might occur some interest. Just keep in mind what your ability cooldowns and durations will be, I'm more than happy to help in this department if need be.

Is there a limit to how much spirit energy is accumulated or is it ever growing? Either or is fine, just want clarification.

In my experience with Bleach RPs, Kido & Illusion style Zanpakuto seem to be the most versatile. You have a lot to work with here. I could send you ideas, if you need a kickstart.

Zanpakuto Type would fall either into Kido or Light. It's really up to you to your discretion as there are Zanpakuto in the manga that have no definitive 'type'. District wise, whatever you feel best fits your clan. 50th and beyond is where life gets extremely rough. In essence, the lower the number the better the living situation.

As for abilities, maybe think a supportive ability. Maybe a flashbang ability that uses light to blind enemies, or creating a construct out of light that fights for you. Skies the limit, my friend. There's also zero shame in drawing inspiration from other series.

Seinaru kainyū no tate: Shield of holy intervention. If this is a simple defensive ability, that blocks attacks within reason, then a ten-post cooldown is excessive unless you intend for that. Otherwise, you may tone it down to 5 or 6.

This is probably one of the more challenging abilities I'd have to deal with as a GM. I like it a lot.

I only have one thing: How long would it take someone to realize they're being drained? Is it based on their ability to sense reiatsu like Hidden Reaping or would they have to draw this conclusion and piece it together themselves? Either or is fine, just want clarification.

A tree knocked down a power line in my backyard it’s said to be cleaned up and everything restored within a day or two, so if things proceed how they say then I look to have the ooc up by the weekend. Additional information added will be Attribute lists, additional lore, as well as an NPC list, etc.

I agree that it makes it more cohesive, and it's easier to find information/important moments we may want to go back to down the line that may be hidden otherwise by IC clutter. While the other IC welcomes it and is more for character moments. Separate the two for the sake of brevity, really.

This officially makes four which means I'll begin the ooc soon. Luckily I already have all the information I need to post, just need to edit and work on formatting.

This seems to have a very passionate DM, and is perfect for my first roleplay on the site! My knowledge of bleach only extends to when they get back from the soul society (the first time? I don't know if they go back lol) but that should be enough to make a decent shinagami!!! Where do I send my character application lol

Very passionate, like I stated this is the Bleach setting, but I want this to become something we can call our very own. You have more than enough knowledge to make a decent character. You can either post it here or PM me, just once again be aware that in the official OOC the CS may have additional information to fill out but no need to worry about that now.

ALSO I just want everyone to know this is an option as well when creating your character, specialization is a thing, and you may forego certain skills/abilities to make others more powerful than your average UNSEATED Shinigami. Example? You may suck terribly at Kido, so while your average Shinigami puts time aside to hone that skill, you may put that same amount of time into addition Zanjutsu or Hakuda training or whatever you choose. In case anyone wanted to go that route.

Edit: as for having two different threads for main story vs freetime, that's a new take on things, but I'd be down to try it. Potentially an unpopular opinion, but I tend to prefer posting back and forth in a thread rather than doing collabs off-site, and a separate thread sounds like it would facilitate that better.

Thank you for your opinion in the matter. I would say it's rather unpopular as I see more people migrate over to discord but I understand completely, and I agree it'll facilitate it better. Main Mission IC will be strictly back and forth while the main IC will allow people to post however they please, off-site collabs or back and forth posting.

Oooooh, I'm most definitely interested! I've loved Bleach and would love to see how this turns out!! I'll definitely get to brainstorming and fully figuring your combat system as I need to remind myself of several things I've forgotten since I've not watched the show in forever or played their games in forever either.

Bleach RPs have a habit of dying fast... like really fast. But I believe it's due to most RPs leaving everyone to their own devices which is where interests die or people not feeling important. Every character here plays a role and will be involved in the story, but with a healthy mix of leaving you guy's to your own devices so you don't feel like you're being railroaded at the same time.
