Tatiana Lorenz

Tatiana could understand the reasoning applied for why Bastion had not been allowed to come, which was probably related to the last time that Bastion had been captured by something. They didn't need her coming back as a corrupted death machine after all, not after all the effort they had put in to getting her back in the first place. "Staying away from the mad scientist if you can seems like a wise choice," she concurred.

Falling silent, she averted her gaze out of embarrassment, or perhaps guilt. "Besides, I would have felt bad if I had accidentally killed you," she muttered. Sure that demon had gotten his just deserts, but that didn't mean she would simply pretend it had never happened. In a war like this there was plenty of time for revenge.

Fortunately they didn't have to worry about that for long as the conversation soon turned to the topic of what they would have to do next. "I hadn't." Tatiana had been a bit busy with practicing her new powers, but she would have looked into it soon. There would always be another battle after all. "And yes, it does." The question was what was at Arcadia that the factions wanted. She didn't know, but then again it wasn't her place to. She just had to fight, and she was more than ready to do that.

Tartys

It seemed as though even with the interruption, more and more faces were showing up to either listen to the music or to commiserate with those who were already listening. Some of them were familiar and some of them not, but regardless of intent or person it gave her quiet satisfaction to see so many people here enjoying themselves, without the war to worry about.

Listening to her more persistent viewer, Tartys was left to wonder if anyone actually liked him, and how much of that was because of his attitude or because of his questions. Neither option would really surprise her, but it would probably be good to know if only for her own handling of this situation. She did her best to not let it get to her as she played along with weaving melodies and lofting notes that illuminated the vision she had in her mind.

Yet even the song faltered for a moment as the sound of wings came from above, but not just wings. Looking up, her eyes widened to see the sky filled with harpies, led by Syphax as he arrived near the group that had been arranged. "Congratulations," she called back to Syphax in praise as she watched the return. It might be bad for the cleaning staff, but that was what magic was for. They had survived worse, as far as she knew.

"Compared to the event, cleaning is most likely a minor concern," Tartys noted aloud on the heels of what she had said before. The harpies would prove a great boon to heaven if they were willing to serve, and the mere return of so many lost souls should be celebrated. She was sure they would have to fight soon, but for now, they could all enjoy their home and the wonders within it.

Time for Rider to show why he deserves the name.
Alexander Nevsky, Scandinavia

It did not take long for them to arrive at the town, and Alexander nodded to the guard as he and Siegfried conversed. The duo went about arranging for them to have shelter for their stay in compensation for protecting the town, something that he did not find objectionable and as a result he did not see the need to speak up. If there was a problem he would, but their companion seemed to have it well in hand.

"Thank you for your willingness to aid us," he said to the guard, before he found his attention drawn away by Caster and her proclamation that there were foes headed their way. It was a short respite they had had, for now the sounds of the oncoming foe were soon audible for all to hear. They would have to fight.

That much was affirmed, with the guard saying that they would be let in if they defeated the foes headed towards the town. That was fine by Alexander, for it was his duty as a Grand prince to make sure that his people were safe and unharmed, and even if they were Norse they nonetheless deserved the same right to live, while they were treating them as friends. "Very well then, we fight," he agreed.

Looking towards his Master, he shot Walgrave a firm look. "Worry not, my Lord, we will handle these foes." With that he whistled, and on the lingering sound of the noise a white horse stepped out from the branches of the surrounding woods, neighing as it moved for him. Rider did not hesitate as he pulled himself into the saddle with an ease that spoke of experience fitting his position as a Rider. He had to have a steed after all. Meanwhile he drew a sword from it's scabbard and a shield appeared on his other arm, the Prince ready to fight.

"Go," he urged his horse, and together they took off in a slow walk towards the oncoming wolves that rapidly grew into a charge. He would not hold back, shield used to defend while light flashed off swiftly moving steel as he slashed at any foes he neared. The two worked as one, and even the horse would take part in the battle with kicks and nimble footed dodges. These wolves might be large, but they would be no match for his steel.

Upon rereading character sheets, it seems Tatiana already had a psychic ability meaning they've already been approved for Machina. If only I had done some light reading before hand I could have saved us like 4 minutes of discussion.

Yeah. I'm working on an expanded list now that the GM's have basically approved her wish to jack that up to 11. Should be fun.
Wait, we were supposed to acheive stuff in this RP? Have I been lied to this entire time? :O
Why do all these Demons keep harping about honor? They're Demons.

It's a convenient excuse. Like the Minbari harping on about honor before they go shoot disabled ships that don't pose a threat to them.
I'm sorry but that post is gonna come tomorrow. I have a half-day then so I'll have a better quality writing thing.

Well I'm certainly not going to force you. I'll just be over here, planning out a hostile takeover of the Blue Guild that will probably not come close to actually working. :P
He could have had the heist planned out before he left on the Arcadia trip and just went to carry it out in a rush. Have supplies stashed elsewhere to carry out his plan.

A tiny bit leery but I guess it works. There's just be a shorter gap for travel time and making sure that the shipment he's going for is actually happening/on time, in addition to getting his stuff.

@Flamelord

Do you need to have written out every part of his plan IC? You can't say he had this in mind all along? Maybe he took the Blue Relic in the first place for the sole purpose of having a tool for this heist.

Well I think the recent events just confirmed that he won't be using the Blue Relic on the heist, but it's a nice thought regardless :P
The understanding that there would have been a time skip for Alex to work things out came from two sources. The first was that due to the length of time that he had been away on his side trip with Tori (IC time, not OOC time, It was hardly a weekend jaunt), he would need to take stock of the city and actually locate something to go heist like the supply shipment that had been the initial target as we discussed.

The other source was the mere fact that even if he had had a target in mind on returning to the Capital, he hadn't had the time to plan anything because Zealot showed up almost immediately upon him getting back, So he'd need a bit to come up with an initial plan for how the heist would work, even if it fell apart later. After that, potentially collect some supplies, though that probably could have been cut out without any real problems.

Otherwise I guess there could have just been one big cut to the heist with all that offscreen, but it wouldn't exactly help the time issues involved.
To be clear, I never brought it up to Windel because I have not had a problem with the time that it has taken to work through the Zealot scene. Sure, it wasn't blistering fast, but it seemed to be moving at a consistent pace in tandem with the rest of the RP at the time. I figured we would get through that, and then once the initial conflict was over there would be a time skip or two to set things up, and then we're in to arranging the heist. It's not like lengthy delays are particularly unusual in Windel's games, especially for people who are in scenes by themselves.

So if I seemed hostile in my response to your comment, I apologize. I was just genuinely confused as to why I was being given the burden of responsibility for the state of affairs.

However, while I was content with how things were proceeding, I never got an indication from the GM's that they were growing frustrated with how long it was taking to move along. I did not get a PM, and all the comments in the OOC were directed at individuals who had yet to post rather than me. At the very least if they did exist they weren't particularly direct, since I can't remember them.

At this point my main concern is that the plan which we had agreed on as to how we would ultimately proceed was changed in a fairly significant manner without my consent, input, or even just a bit of forewarning before doing so. If I had been approached with a message saying something like 'hey, we think this isn't working out, can we compromise?', I would have been happy to do so. Instead though, they went ahead with pushing their own agenda for how they believed things should progress. Which is all the more awkward considering how we ended the last serious argument with a conclusion that we should all try to communicate better.

I am more than willing to collab out an end to this scene or relaxing the posting limit or what have you to get this done, I merely wanted to voice my particular dissatisfaction with how events occurred.
