I have a deep hatred of anyone who takes themselves too seriously. I used to know a guy who would say every offensive comment that came into his head, whether it hurt someone's feelings or not. When I confronted him on it, he said "this is who I am. Why are you trying to change me?"

Needless to say, I haven't seen that asshole in quite a few years, and am happier for it.

Now, as it happens, I recently had my first hernia, due to achieving a level of anger I've never felt before, because a "friend" of mine promised me he was taking care of the arrangements for a trip to China we were both taking. After I already owe him the money for the flight, he tells me he's planned nothing whatsoever... at all... and he says I'm to blame for not getting ready... WHEN HE TOLD ME HE WAS LOOKING AFTER IT!!! He doesn't even have a place for me to stay, FOR A MONTH, after promising me that I would have one!

And he's such an arrogant, self-righteous asshole, he doesn't understand why I'm so angry at him.

Any tips on ways to vent?

When's the trip taking place?

As for ways to vent? I recommend hitting a boxing bag with a few good hard strikes. Straight punches do wonders and are not as likely to get you injured.

If you want a lot of democracy, just like at the UK.
Actually, you might want to look away for now...

I actually intend to move to the UK after I graduate. I really don't mind Brexit 'cause last I checked mayonnaise and mustard were still things in the country xD People have been saying the pound's dropped a lot but I really don't see much of a change. What are the stats there?

I'm not sure. But if you want complexity, just take a look over here at Australia. We have a federal election coming up this week, and for the Senate we have 38 different parties, plus 16 independent candidates. Granted, most of them are tiny and won't get in and will be forgotten about until the next election, but it still means we have a ballot paper that is one whole meter long (I'm not even joking. I just measured one).

Dang. That's a lot of democracy xD
First world politics are very complex. What is a right social libertarian supposed to be? Here in my ol' piece of land we merely have the Government and its opposition!
@Lauder what's gwanin? Are you still with us?

I'm pretty sure someone who hasn't posted in the OOC for over two weeks has lost all interest in the RP xD

Just curious: may I ask what you think about non-heterosexual relationships? If two lesbians got married, would you consider their relationship "complete" if they adopt or get a sperm donor?

Yep! As long as kids are involved in one way or another, I consider them to be a full, real relationship.

Edit: Ah xd
@NuttsnBolts @tsukune

I never said sex was everything in a relationship now, did I? I only said that a relationship became official after the couple had sex. Otherwise, you could argue that they're simply the best of friends in the whole world.

I suppose I haven't really thought it through. A romantic relationship can exist without sex (I've had such relationships before, considering I've had girlfriends and I'm still a virgin). In my eyes, though, I don't really see romantic relationships as "the real deal" unless the possibility of having kids is in the future, whether it be the near or distant future.

After debating with myself for about half an hour, I realized I only see a relationship as "full" or "official" if there's kids involved in their future, be they biological or adoptive. So no, sex doesn't strictly have to be a part of a relationship. I sure as hell will be having sex with my lifelong partner once I find her, though ;p

...And then the reason that we get from these bitches is: we are not sex-y enough for them.

Screw sex. Why do we have to be in bed to be in a relationship? What kind of blasphemy is this??? If being in a relationship is to satisfy your raging hormones...

No.

I personally believe a relationship is not really official until the couple has sex. I mean, the entire point of life is to have sex and eventually procreate, so yeah.

Also, if a woman tells you you are not sexy enough for her, that means you've insisted far too much for far too long and after missing all the other cues that she wasn't interested, she had to tell you to bugger off. It used to happen to me in High School.

Also, there's the possibility that the woman's just stuck up or somewhat narcissistic. It's mostly the first one, though.
@Kho, oh in that case, sure, Astarte's in pretty good relations with her. She doesn't really dislike anyone yet, contrary to what her childish demeanor may make it seem like.
@Kho, I'm actually not sure if Jvan likes Astarte. I mean, Astarte herself hasn't done much for the big blob xD
