Quick question so I'm sure I'm not overstepping my bounds; Can I say that Gou caught Sign Master but that biting his hand slowed him down, so now he's running down the road while this big wolf attached to him is wrenching and shaking and digging its heals in?

Link hated that he was right. At the very least Geralt managed to handle to physically largest threat they faced right now in a single withering barrage of artillery fire. The things blood spilled out into the ocean as holes opened up all over it, the main one producing a gaping wound big enough for the smaller monster to build a house in if she felt like trading a hard rock for soft, gooey monster innards.

With the blood and viscera, however, their came a swarm of ocean predators driven to a frenzy over the prospect of such a large easy meal. They didn't seem to realize or care where all the blood was coming from, just that it belonged to something on the surface. So they just went after the first thing they saw. Ms. Fortune and Mirage acted quickly, firing either from their own guns or mounting the shipboard defenses. Following their lead Link push himself away from the short rail and flopped down onto the deck beside the loot pile he had generated. He gave the stuff a once over while he was down there. A trident, a few strange dolls, a toy plane, a gauntlet, nothing that seemed useful for this situati...wait. That plane, could that have been like the ones before? He reached out, tried to store it, and found that he couldn't. After all, he was full up on weapons wasn't he?

He did some quick inventory management, leaving the broken sword and pickaxe in the pile in exchange for the plane and trident. Satisfied he looked toward the cannon embankment across the deck. Mirage had already reached his and was covering one side, so Link gripped the jostling deck with his fingers. He pulled himself forward while kicking with his feet, throwing himself across the deck like a Hot-footed frog. It was no different than when he went mountain climbing. Easier, in fact. He didn't have to worry about finding a safe space to catch his breath. Another leap brought him past Blazermate, and the last carried him all the way to the cannon embankment. He dragged himself up into the chair and grabbed the controls. Ms. Fortune hadn't made this look too hard from what brief glimpses he'd gotten of her using it in their previous battle.

In the few moment where he was getting the handle of them, though, a small school of the most disgusting fish Link had ever seen in his life leaped out of the water at the embankment. At him! A few reached him, latching onto his arm, shoulder, the side of his leg, and wriggling as hard as they could even as they should have been suffocating in the air. Even the few that had missed and hit the deck were flopping towards him in their bloodlust, and in front of him the water was already rippling again. When the fish leaped for another attack, though, they were knocked out of the air as a mace head whipped through the air on a wire. They scattered, falling back into the water, as Link turned and saw Cia standing beside. She reached down, ripped one of the fish that hand sunk their teeth into him off his body, threw it to the deck, and stomped on it.

This time he was sure of it. "How do you keep getting out?" He asked.

"The words you're looking for are 'Thank you again, Mistress Cia.'" She replied, continuing to pull the animals off him and smash the ones on the deck. He turned to face forward as she did. That was something to think about later. As she picked and kicked fish until her timer ran down Link pressed down on the triggers and let loose on the ocean with both barrel, turning and firing every time he saw a fin, churned up water, or a suspicious bubble.

The gun wasn't faultless. Eventually he had to let up as the thing started to reload itself. It was fortunate it did, because over the howl of the cannons he wouldn't have heard the crash and the shattering of glass. Unlike the others Link hadn't been paying much attention to how the battle between the ocean horrors was going, figuring that all it would take was another shot of Geralt's main gun to bring that to a swift and decisive end. He didn't have any context when he looked up at the source of the sound to see the behemoths eyeball dropping from the smashed in cockpit of the Atomos. He did understand, though, that it was a bad thing for a flying ship to start listing to the side toward the bloody maw of the sea. He understood, in a moment of horror, that the Atomos was right now commanded entirely by children and the elderly.

He didn't know what they were up to, but if that knock had bamboozled them they needed time to evacuate the Atomos and board Shippy. Kamek was old, but he had seen the Koopa's clones and the way he rode around on that flying broom. If he had time he could get the kids out of there. Link whipped out the slate, activated the Stasis Rune, and let the power fly at the ship. Golden chains extended from nowhere, wrapping the ship and stopping its fall cold. The ship hung there, its armor giving off a golden glow, as Shippy sailed past.

It was only on Peaches orders that he directed his attention back toward the monster fight, spotting Bella clutched in one of the tentacles of the smaller monster. Sakura was latched on, trying to pry the rotten things jaws open while Mirage and Rika provided covering fire. His eyes followed up the tentacle to the little monster laughing on the rock, and the other tendrils that wriggled down from under it.

He pulled out the Airplane. This was an abyssal plane, he knew it. He'd been on the receiving end of them. He knew how deceptively dangerous they were, and how annoying it was to get buzzed while trying to fight something else. Any attention off Bella and the others would be of help. He just hoped the plane worked for someone that was only part Abyssal. He reared his arm back and aimed at the little monster. "If you're listening, that one!" He said to it before hucking it through the air like a spear.

At first it glided through the air, and as it went Link had a dreadful memory of that boomerang fish, but after a moment the sound of little propeller spinning reached him. The plane began gaining altitude, zooming off toward the rock. It flew along, rising rising, rising, high above the battlefield below. Above Rika, above Bowser, above Sakura and Bella's desperate struggle. It circled the rock as it went, masterfully riding on the air currents until it spotted the target it had been given. It came around, flying low and approaching the monster from behind before allowing its little guns to roar to life as it came in for a strafing run.

"Oh. OH!" Linkle said in surprise. "I get it. Sure. Sure! Oh, thank you so much!" She handed Sal the rest of her Rupees, then gingerly laid her her old crossbows were the white ones had been. She hesitated for a moment, her hands resting on the old familiar wood. "Just make sure they get a good home. They're really reliable. I wouldn't be half the hero I am if I hadn't had them." She patted the stock, then stood and slotted the new ones snugly into the holsters in her boots. They even fit there perfectly. It was like it had been destiny that guided them to her, in a time when she definitely needed to be stronger than ever before. No matter how much sentimental value they held, the most important thing right now was getting stronger and beating Galeem.

"Don't worry. Like I said earlier, my friends are going to show up any day and when they do it's going to be a lot easier to travel." She assured the lizalfo before walking to the door. "We'll definitely see each other again! See you later." She waved to the both of them, smiling, and stepped back out into the snow.

She just had a few things to do. First things first, just like with the oil, she went over to her sled and wrapped up both the cute hat and the wolf hood for later. She figured the cute wolf hat could go to the Kid in the Hat, and she thought the wolf hood would look perfect of Geralt to go with his cool medallion. The next thing she did was finally use some of this green money to open up the magic box, hoping that there were some gift worthy items there as well.

She hadn't just been thinking about Grillby when it came to apology gifts. She figured she owed everybody something for doing what she had done.

Packing everything up onto her sled she started down the street to head for Grillby's. Luckily for her it was only a light snow, and it hadn't filled in the footprints leading away from the shop door. She followed Albedo's tracks until she came to the main street and spotted the big tree. She stopped as she pulled up beside it, taking a look at gifts piled there again. Grillby had said yesterday that she was free to take one, so she picked out a big box wrapped in shiny green paper. She opened it slowly, careful not to rip the paper so she could use it later, and set whatever it was fate decided to give her on her sled among the other gifts.

Parking her sled beside the door, she picked up the giftwrapped oil and made her way inside while trying not to look at the hole she had put in the establishment. Once she was inside she went straight to the matter at hand, stepping up to the bar and placing the gift on the counter before bowing to the man apologetically. "I'm sorry my big head put a hole in your café." She said, before looking up. "I didn't know what to get somebody made of fire, so I just went with my gut. I hope it's not bad."

She waited to hear Grillby's response before looking around for Albedo and going over to join him.

Back at camp, around the fire

Link's turned his attention away from Ace Cadet as he finished describing the Wyverians's for them, his ears perking up as Geralt put two and two together and got one hundred. He had gotten so worked up in his description he had shared just a little to much, and after he had made Glenn promise too. He had been half joking when he'd said that, but that still left half that was totally serious.

He looked around the group. Linkle wasn't here. None of them were from his world, at least from the description they had given. There was vanishingly little chance of his words inspiring the doom of Hyrule here. No harm to cause in answering.

He took a deep breath. "Not as long as Zora, that's for sure. I met one woman that was at least one hundred years old, but she had the ware of that age on her. I'm a special case." One of the few memories he possessed reared up in his mind, brining with it vivid feelings that it kept fresh just for him. Exhaustion, pain, desperation, uncertainty. He pressed on. "One hundred years ago, a calamity washed over Hyrule. We had prepared for it as best we could, but it didn't matter. The defenses it didn't tear through it turned against us, and while trying to defend against it I was gravely wounded. Essentially dead. To save my life my Princess's attendants sealed me in an ancient chamber where I could recover." He thumped himself solemnly on the chest. "It worked. In exchange for my life I lost one hundred years, most of my strength, and all of my memories. I've only ever gotten a few of them back, so I'm glad little Sidon was one of them." He sighed. "A Blazermate of our own sure would have been useful back then."

As he finished, a little depressed himself, he became aware of how his story could have just maybe brought down the mood. He tried to shake off his depression, lifted back up, and clapped his hands. "But at least I managed to wake up just in time to finish the job. Once I was back in action the Calamity didn't know what hit it. I even managed to save the Princess in the end. Just like destiny said." He laughed, but that couldn't hide the tinge of bitterness in that last thing he said.

The Bottomless Sea

Link nodded as they began to set off into the choppy water, accepting that the girls knew what they were doing. After all, if you couldn't trust in your actual ship was there anything you could?

In more unfortunate news it looked like only one of their new passengers decided to take his offer of life-preserving spirits. Despite his obvious trepidation Mirage took Link's warning seriously. The other one practically threatened to jump in among the animals, a thought that made Link grip the railing where he was standing all the tighter in case he needed to dive in and save the man. Cadet did his best to talk him out of it, but it was enough of a distraction that Link didn't notice the particular spirit the Mirage selected. His attention was only drawn back by the tale-tell glow of a spirit merger. He raised up his arm to shield his eyes from the light, only lowering it when it had faded to find a slightly diminished looking Mirage.

Link wasn't the only one that noticed that either. "Don't worry, Princess Peach can pull it out after we're back to more solid ground and you'll be right back to normal." He advised, watching the man get used to his new body and accessories. He was a little put off by how easily the man did his jumps. Why was he the only one that ended up flat on his face when he tried to walk too fast?

His attention was pulled elsewhere before he had a chance to dwell on that. As they approached some pillars of rock jutting out of a sea hat was, confusingly, supposed to be bottomless it was confirmed to him that not fighting the sharks had definitely been the right call. A giant, flabby looking monster rose out of the depths that looked like it was capable of smashing Shippy with just one of its tentacles. Luckily for them it didn't pay their little ship any notice, instead embroiled with a territorial dispute with a smaller monster that made its home up on the rocks. It was comforting to know that not every ocean horror they came across was on the same side. The big one had strength, no doubt, but the small one seemed to be on the winning end of their struggle judging by how it was tearing at the flesh of the big monster. He took up his slate and zoomed in to watch them. The big one was easy to get a picture of, but the small one was too little and too far away. That was good. So long as nothing brought their attention toward the Seeker's Link was content to let them fight it out.

The others didn't seem to take the monsters nearly as seriously as he did, Ms. Fortune pointing out the big monsters chest and sending herself and Mirage into a giggling fit. He couldn't help but giggle like a five year old with them for a bit. It kind of reminded him of one of the Great Fairies, and he laughter was silenced by a mental image of the thing lifting him up and leaning in for a kiss. He shuttered.

He lowered his slate and turned back to the deck when he heard Mirage and Blazermate talking. Blazermate was fiddling with something, shoving it into one of her zombies mouth and sent it overboard. The thing splashed into the water and started swimming away from them, but soon attracted the attention of the sharks. They tore into the undead monster. That was a good idea, he thought. A sacrifice to learn the real capabilities of these fish that were hounding them. He certainly wouldn't want to be in the water with them, seeing them rip at that-

Then the zombie exploded, sending a wave of water and fish ash pouring over him and The Cadet. Link spit a little salty water out of his mouth, sighed, and smashed all the spirits in his free hand. He dropped the loot to the deck as he held out his hand and summoned his Soldiers Broad Sword into it in preparation. At the very least Blazermate seemed aware of what she had probably done, immediately launching into preparation for a fight. She seemed more worried abut the two monsters they could see, though. Link was worried about the ones that they couldn't who might have heard that explosion and taken notice of that ship at sail across their territory. He watched the water intently, waiting for something to poke its head out of the dark depths.

All he got was another mouthful of water as Bowser, then Rika, then Sakura, then Geralt all splashed into the water next to the ship. The first three started toward the big monster, ready to pick a side in fight that had nothing to do with them. He got splashed again as Geralt came bursting out of the water atop...

He decided that, yes, they could probably handle what was coming so long as they had that giant gun platform that could blow a ship out of the water with a single shot. If you couldn't be careful you could at least go into battle with massively overwhelming firepower. "Get ready everybody!" He called out. "I'll bet something heard all that."

"Oh, you mean like a quest?" Linkle asked Sal in regards to his offer. That was a bargain, considering. "Sure, I was doing those all day back in Lumbridge. I found a bunch of food, fought a bunch of different monsters, dueled somebody, I'm pretty good at quests." She said, puffing out her chest in pride. "So, what can the Hero of Hyrule do for you?"
Luna twirled her oar and set the thing across her shoulders again as the last of the rocks stopped raining down on them, the torrent of water on the end still raging but slightly diminished. From the looks of it she had gotten a few more rocks that she had intended judging by the clean cuts in the rubble around the robot. Sailfish did have a habit of throwing off blades of water when swung at that speed, so she had been careful to only swing at angles that went above the heads of the others.

The robot surprised her with a thumbs up, which she returned. It just went to show you couldn't judge of robot by the lack of tonality in its voice or the array of extremely deadly weapons in carried, even as it prepared to unleash one of those deadly weapons in a wide area. She went to cover her ears like it said, but a voice and a bubble that suddenly appeared over them stopped her. The voice was clear, because every other sound had suddenly been muted. "This might hurt."

She turned to spot The Butterfly Guy and The You Hang guy inside the bubble with her. She turned her thumbs up into a wave. "'Sup?" She greeted them. She had been two busy smashing rocks to hear what they had been talking about, but she did get to witness You Hang Guy taking his turn. Her eyebrows perked up as she watched him draw his weapon, taking in all the details like you would a painting on a relaxing trip to an art gallery. The concentration, the form, the subtle way the air distorted around the blade as it was gathered together. She cupped her chin in interest. He moved air like she moved water. "Cool." She said, graciously bowing out of the way as the the three shockwaves left her poncho fluttering as they sped past.

Whatever noise the mecha made she couldn't hear, but she could feel it vibrating through the ground. The alien certainly felt it, the noise rattling him enough to send him onto the ground. He had just barely climbed back to his feet when the shockwaves threw him back but didn't cut him. Either he was real tough or those had just been pure concussive force, no blade at all. Regardless, as the sound barrier came down both man and robot were greeted to the sound of Luna whistling at them in applause.

Before she knew it, though, the next phase of the battle had begun. Ice spread out across the floor as far as she could see. She took her oar back off her shoulders and readied in the alien's direction, but the alien wasn't there anymore. She caught a flicker of movement in the corner of her eye, tracking it to spot the alien going after Hang Guy. The black robed man pushed his hand in her direction and she felt a gust of wind push her across the ice even as it propelled him away from the aliens first strike.

She skidded backwards, spreading her stance and using the oar as a third leg to keep herself balanced. She watched, nearly calling out a warning as she saw the alien come around for another go at Hang Guy but stopping as Butterfly guy deflected the blow before it could reach him. That was when the alien changed it's target, skating across the ice right for her. It raised its pole, and she twirled her oar and swung as it came into striking distance. The two clashed, but Luna had no leverage on this ice and was sent flying like a hockey puck across the cube. She couldn't help but think it was kind of fun, even as her arms started to ache from the clumsy way she had tried to deflect that blow.

Luckily, her salvation had been provided by he alien himself. She saw something brown out of the corner of her eye and reached out, grabbing onto the cleanly bisected edge of one of the boulders from earlier. As the Alien went in for a follow up blow Luna disappeared, her momentum transferring to the boulder and causing it to spin like a merry-go-round on the icy floor. As she held on she flipped her oar over and dragged the head along the ground, the rotation of the water still attached to it melting the ice it came in contact with and collecting it into the torrent.

As the makeshift top completed its rotation she saw the alien again. "Wavebreaker Style: Greenland Shark!" She swung the oar forward, launching the water across the ice. It kept going, a cutting blade rolling across the top of the ice like a deep sea predator lurking just below the surface. As it sped across the ice toward its prey it only got bigger and more powerful, melting the ice and gathering the water into itself as it went.
Since Gou is being attacked first I'd like to wait for their reaction before I go.
Don't worry, we got the gas station right here. We can pick some up after.
If Sign Master hadn't thrown up that wall Luna was gonna offer him a refreshing taste of her slurpee before they threw down.

At the newcomer who would introduce himself as Mirage's answered Link let out a deep sigh of relief. The last thing they needed was the Yiga chasing after them, offended that someone had made off with their banana horde. Those peoples obsession with the yellow fruit was only matched by their devotion to Ganon and their grudge against him, none of which he could imagine would lose any of their potency over something as trivial as being thrown into another world. He stared out at the foliage where Mirage had come from one last time as he tossed a few of the bananas he'd grabbed into the helmet. Then again, it wasn't like you could spot them if they didn't want you to. "Well, if you ever meet someone that looks like me..." He reached up and emphatically gave his ears a flick with his finger. "...who really likes bananas, they're an assassin."

He just let that tidbit of info sit as he really started digging into the meal. The fish all had a weird taste to them, but he didn't care. He eagerly ate the entire things, not even bothering to pick the bones like Ms. Fortune. While he ate, Blazermate asked what the plan was and Peach replied that it was just to head for the bottomless sea. He couldn't help but feel the medabot had been probing for something more detailed, but nobody seemed to be in the mood for talking about the next battle just yet so he refrained as well. More importantly, the Cadet vocalized what it seemed like Mirage had been considering. Mirage jumped at the opportunity to join them on their quest, which wasn't something Link quite knew how to feel about. More hands were welcome and he figured anyone all the way out here with only a furry, long-armed, funny faced thing as company might well know how to handle himself. He had the confidence, certainly, if he were coming out with them while knowing about the the bottomless sea. The problem was, Brinybeard had been confident when they had set out as well.

Speaking of Brineybeard, Link's train of thought derailed as Kamek appeared with good news. The Captain was alive and, if not exactly well, safe. A general cheer went up, the feeing welling up in Link hard enough to bring him to his feet to shout "Yes!" before his lack of balance couldn't compensate for the sudden movement and he fell on his back into the sand. From there he listened to Sakura give her short, faltering speech. He clapped anyway as he sat up, grabbing one of the piece of watermelon and chowing down as she said. Every bite sent an explosion of sweetness into his mouth. Goddess's above it tasted so sweet.

The next stretch of time was spend in story telling. The Abyssal with the strange accent, Bella, seemed incredibly interested in their lives and where they had come from. Ms. Fortune happily obliged her, describing where she had grown up and the people that had lived there. As she talked Link felt himself drawn to her description as much as Bella was. As she finished he couldn't help but chuckle nostalgically. "We've got our own version of Dragonian where I come from." He said. "In Hyrule they're called the Zora." He went on, describing the resident fish people of the kingdom, they're bravery, their speed and grace in the water, the expert craftfishship they put into their silver weapon and the magnificent Kingdom they had carved out for themselves in Zora's Domain. The high white pillars rising from the lake, the natural beauty that surrounded them, the literal water beds that they slept floating in, the cascading sound of waterfalls and the light mist those waterfalls caused to hang in the air. "They can swim right up them, that's how fast they are in the water. Even the little children can do it, though you can't judge their age by appearance. Some of those kids are as old as an adult Hylian, they're a long lived people. I first met their prince when he was a little guppy and 100 years on he was..." Link stopped and looked around the fire to get a good comparison. He pointed out the Cadet. "He was about the Cadet's age." He swiveled his finger, turning it on Geralt. "But he was as tall as Geralt. Maybe taller. One of the best people I've ever met, Prince Sidon. Brave. Always smiling."

Link could have sat there and talked about Hyrule for hours, but he didn't want to take up the entire conversation himself. Besides, even a well deserved rest eventually had to come to an end. They had a job to do. As everyone got ready to leave Link threw his remaining fish into the helmet he had set on the fire, watching intently as the odd fish jumped around in the pot before catching what was launched out. He managed to collect four sets of middling quality Copious Seafood Skewers. That would do for a little light healing in a pinch. He simmered one last batch of fruit and set one last set of banana's next to the fire. After blowing them out he awkwardly drunk-walked the resulting roasted bundle over the funny-faced thing. "Here you go." He said, handing them over to Lanky. "Thanks for the help. High tail it if you see anybody in red lurking around where these came from. Take care."

One last person needed something. He stumbled over to where Shippy had anchored herself. He climbed up the side of the ship and back over to the figurehead. Largely unknown to Link, his and the Cadet operated on extremely similar wavelengths. He pulled out the simmered fruit and offered it to her. When she told him she didn't require food, he shook his head and insisted. "You don't just eat because you need too." He said. "Sometimes it makes you feel better. Sometimes its to celebrate. You've got something to celebrate, right?"

He left it with her, climbing up the rest of the way. "If you can't swallow it, spit it in the water. But you should at least taste it."

Link spent most of the voyage across the lake listening for the ping of the slate, but once they started moving much faster on the river he stopped paying as much attention. Even if they stumbled on another of those outcroppings it was unlikely that they would be over it for long, or be able to stop once the slate warned them. Either they would get sprayed or they wouldn't. Instead he gathered up all the spirts he'd left on the deck into one of his big hands so no one would accidentally step on them and set Shippy transforming again. As he did he watched as the first of their two new acquaintances demonstrated his abilities. Link felt the pangs of jealousy as Mirage showed off how he could produce a decoy of himself, and his jaw just about hit the floor when the man turned invisible. It was for a short time, of course, but Link's mind reveled in the possibilities of going anywhere completely unseen. It was a power he desperately wanted.

The other guy, Mr. Green as Link had started thinking of him as, he wasn't so sure of. He had been on the cliff with them, so that meant he must have been strong, but the way he was acting was just too weird and the way the Princess and Koopa's were acting around him was even weirder. Did they really not know who that was? Was it rude to ask about it?

Thought on his new crewmates disappeared once the pink fronds of the trees gave way to black sand and the rotting carcasses of sea creatures. A storm raged out in the distance over the inky black water, stirring up the waves even here. The Bottomless Sea. It's gruesomeness certainly lived up to its reputation. The only thing that even seemed somewhat welcoming was the beam of light shooting into the sky a ways off that Ms. Fortune called out. Between them and it; who knews what in this black abyss? As he held himself against the railing on the front of the ship and picked at the Sheikah Slate, resetting what it was tracking from the crystalline outcroppings to the single abyssal he had managed to get a picture of during the battle. Hopefully that would warn them if the things were on their way.

What they attracted first, though, was also called out by Ms. Fortune. Link wandered over to the side and saw the dark shapes she was talking about swimming around the ship. Fish. The biggest fish he had ever seen, in fact. Blue torpedos whose fins cut menacingly through the surface of the water. He took a picture of one as it turned, presenting its side to him and showing off a wide frown full of teeth that made him shutter. It was like seeing Sidon frowning at him.

"They're not so bad." Link called down to her despite this. "At least these don't have cannons strapped to their heads." Compared to the Abyssal Fleet they had sailed through to get here, a few big fish were nothing.

It was the storm that worried him. He heard thunder off in the distance and where there was thunder there must surely be lightning. He looked around at his friends that had absorbed the shipgirls, and winced at the metal that they had strapped to them. If they didn't beat the storm those would be drawing lightning down, along with anything metal on this ship. He looked up at the Atomos as it hovered near them, spotting the door open and two little abyssal planes fly out toward the light. That whole ship was metal, if the wind didn't get it the lightning certainly would. Same went for Shippy, that coating of metal would be riling up the lightning something awful.

Mirage piped up, twirling something in his hand and offering to take care of the beasts (sharks, that's what they were called) surrounding them in one blow. An electric weapon, huh? He was right, that might hurt Shippy as well. He looked from Mirage to, who both seemed to know what the Sharks were. "If these things can damages the ship than we should take them out, but can't we use the cannons on the deck for that?"

"Additionally." He said, addressing specifically to Ms. Fortune. She lived in a seaside town, she should know a thing or two about ocean storms. "How positive are you that we can reach that light before the storm catches us? I'm not a sailor, I don't know." He turned to the group. "What I do know is that storms like that are bad enough on stable ground. If we're not sure we can make it we should go back up the river a ways, drop anchor, and wait for a better window of opportunity. We can afford to be patient if we need too. What we can't afford is to sink. I don't want to see us get battered again because we underestimated the challenge in front of us."

A thought occurred. "Shippy?" He called. "You know yourself better than anyone. Do you think we can make it?"

Regardless, he raised up the hand with the spirits in it and offered it to the group. "Even if we're positive, and we go for it, I'm going to insist everyone who hasn't already got a quick way to move around in the water take one of these into their chest. Just as an extra precaution. We don't know what could blindside us out there." He looked over at Mirage, remembering he hadn't gotten the orientation yet. "You put one of these in your chest, and you'll get some of its traits. I could barely swim before I used one of these."

Linkle couldn't hide her disappointment on learning that the Lizalfo had just been stuck here and the circumstances were even sadder. Grandma had told her lizards all scattered away at wintertime because of how chilly it got. It shouldn't be any surprise that the same would be true of a Lizalfo, but she had never really thought of them as living creatures until she saw them reading books and bartering like people did.

Still, her face suddenly lit up as Sal laid out his wares. The gun, the fist, the magic wand, any one of those she would have been interested in were it not for the sight of something oh so much more familiar. "Can I?" She asked, reaching forward and with his permission picking up one of the crossbows. Pure white, accented in gold. It weighed a little more than what she was used to, but the weight settled into her hand like a perfectly fitted glove. She plucked the string, and listened excitedly as it vibrated. When she depressed the trigger in a certain way she had done a thousand times before the front of the bow lit up a shining green. She pressed again and the tip gleamed red.

She set it down. Her bows were simple, but these ones were...

"Beautiful." She breathed out. She had to have them, but the price was to much. She hadn't been left with enough spending money. She glanced down at her own crossbows, and held it up for him to see. "I don't have enough money for those, but these do all the same things. Watch." She demonstrated, pulling down the triggers. Green. Red. Green again. Red again. "If I give you these would that make up the difference? If not I have some other stuff you could look at."
As the robot fired its laser three things happened in rapid succession. First the monster held up the...sign? Yeah, that's what it looked like. Like a crossing guard ferrying a bunch of school kids across the road it held up a sign to block the laser. From the angle she was approaching from she couldn't see what was on it.

The second was that a swarm of butterflies appeared out of thin air and coalesced into the butterfly guy. You know, that guy? From the news? She didn't watch the news a lot, admittedly, but every other time she had caught it he'd been there being up some bad dude or helping out with some disaster. So that meant the robot was right, this really was some kind of evil alien. She doubted butterfly guy would have shown up to help with some kind of ordinary misunderstood alien. With a wave of his fingers he threw up a magic box to keep the alien, the robot, and them contained. Which was a good thing, as the robots laser swerved around the alien to hit the cube behind it.

The third was that a black robed kung-fu boy popped up out the sewers and drew his blade, also here to fight the monster. Thankfully, it seemed like besides declaring their intentions both were content to wait their turn. She started running at the alien, ready to take her shot now that the robot had whiffed, but as she got closer the alien swung that sign around towards her and jammed in into the ground. She ran headfirst into something invisible and bounced off a step. She looked confused for a moment, taking up her oar and tapping the air in front of her in three different and surprisingly solid spots before looking at the actual symbol printed on the sign. "Oh, that's your power?" She said as it clicked, more impressed than anything. "Neat technique."

She leaned a shoulder casually against the invisible barrier between them as the alien stepped back, like she was talking to a friend in a school stairwell. "So my names Luna, nice to meet'cha. You're, like, an alien construction worker? That's cool. That's cool." She took another long drag from her slurpee, licking her lips before continuing. "You got a name? You're supposed to introduce yourself before you fight somebody. Earth custom."

The aliens answer seemed to be in the form of another sign, one anyone that had ever been hiking in the mountains should recognize. She glanced up just as a pebble glanced off boulders plummeting toward her. "Is that a no?" She asked. She threw the remains of her slurpee into the air, the cup tumbling end over end in the air between her and the rock aimed right at her. At least it was before she took he oar in both hands and swung right through the plastic cup. The contents, however, didn't spray everywhere like you would expect. Inside as the oar traced its way through the air the liquid that hand been smashed out of the cup adhered to the oar, fluttering like a sail as she brought the oar around again at the boulder. "Wavebreaker Style: Sailfish."

The liquid coating the end of her oar began to flow around it in a torrential current as she swung. By the time she impacted the boulder it was moving with enough speed and force that, with her single swing, she was able to cleave a boulder the size of herself clean in half. The two piece of the boulder slammed into the ground on either side of her, but her motion didn't stop. There were still, after all, more rocks. Her oar flowed cleanly from one to the other, weathering the storm of rocks and leaving piles of them bisected all around her. She didn't get all of them, the smaller of the rocks knocking into her head and shoulders as she danced, but she had to focus on the bigger ones.

Amid the oppressive noise of the avalanche, though, he voice still managed to right out across the cube. "Okay, somebody else's turn now." If there was any distress over the current situation present in the woman her voice did not betray it. She said it as though passing the controller to a video game.
@Potemking Mirage is in Glenn's vicinity but I'm not entirely sure where to go in that case as they currently don't seem to have any reason to speak. Or not who knows, amiright?

If you want to get that spirit conversation started there are a bunch of them Link dropped on the deck you could bring over to the cookout. They're basic abyssals and sahagin, but still.
