Teshiko Maki

Teshiko blinked open her eyes, slowly taking in the world around her. The sun was shining down on her as she was lying down in a field of grass, a single tree standing atop a small incline that kept the morning light from her eyes. However, it wasn't grass that her head was resting upon, it was someone's lap, and that someone would soon show his face as he saw her wake up. "Good morning, love," Kiyoshi told her as she looked up to his warm smile.

"Morning," the angel greeted back, leaning up to give the young man a kiss. Once their lips parted, Teshiko would finally move to get up, standing on her own two feet and helping Kiyoshi up to do the same. She would give him one last smile before beginning her decent down the small hill, expecting her companion to follow. When she didn't feel his fingers intertwine with hers, she looked back up to see what it was that was taking him so long. That was when the peaceful day ended.

Dark clouds began to form above as nature around Kiyoshi began to wither and die. The once green grass seemed to turn brown within seconds before aging past that and becoming nothing more than bare dirt. The tree's leaves began to fall, a harsh wind appearing from nowhere to take them away from view. All of this, with the brown haired boy's figure seeming to stand in the epicenter of the rot overtaking this once beautiful world. "Kiyoshi-?" she asked him, fear and worry gripping her words so that only his name could leave her lips. It was then that his bat-like wings suddenly unfurled behind him, causing the angel to jump back in fright.

And then the nightmare ended. Teshiko opened her eyes again, only to find herself in the sleeping quarters of office building that Camael had claimed as a base for their group. She knew that she was safe now, but the nightmare had shaken her so much that, for several moments, she stayed sitting up in her bed, her previous fear that had followed her out of her dream betraying her usual calm and collected nature. Eventually however, she would find the strength and resolve to step out from under the covers, dress herself in her usual attire, and made her way to the main hall where everyone else seemed to be gathering.

When Ekibe gave her name to her fellow rook, Nora seemed to shift somewhat in her seat, something that was easily unnoticeable to anyone who might not have been paying attention. When the girl finished her explanation though, the reason for the movement became a bit more obvious. "Thank you for being so nice to tell me all of this. I'd probably be completely lost without you and Senpai. I'm Nora by the way, I'm sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I don't know what happened to my manners," she told the reincarnated demi-goddess. Here this goodnatured girl had been nice enough to offer the new devil her own gym clothes, explain some of the changes she'd experience with this unfamiliar world she'd now been brought into, and even offered further assistance if she needed it. And the blond hadn't even given her name. She felt so embarrassed, though not as much as she had just minutes earlier when Tsumiki brought her here.

"So I do have one question, it's kind of a stupid one though, but... how do I make my, uh, wings come out? And the tail too? O-or do I need to earn them somehow? I've been trying to make them... pop out, or whatever the correct terminology is, but nothing's happened," Nora asked, struggling with even the basics of being a devil. She had quite a ways to go to ever reach her true potential, but she showed a willingness to learn that, at the very least, could be seen as very commendable.

- Learned how to cook and clean as she had planned to settle down with Kiyoshi

Holy Sacrament: A pair of Kamas dubbed Mercy and Forgiveness that she had used back during the Great War of the Three Factions. While they may appear to be a very close quarters weapon, they can actually be used for long range as they have the power to manipulate the air and wind around her to an extent. The farther away her target is though, the less powerful her strikes will become. For example, were she to try and slash at an opponent that was ten feet away, it would be just like she had cut them with her kamas directly. Several miles away though and at best it would be a paper cut and that would be if it even hits.

Magic:
Along with having light projection like any other angel, Teshiko also has the ability to control the very winds around her. Some spells include:
- Supportive Gust: She can call in a gust of wind that will either slow her opponents or speed herself or an ally up. She can only call in one gust at a time, though she can manipulate its size so it doesn't only affect one person. The larger it is, the weaker the gust will be though.

- Kind Breath: She can make the air more breathable for those who may be having trouble getting enough oxygen in their lungs or also dispel any toxins or poisons that she knows are present in the air. This only works if there's enough air in her vicinity to begin with though, meaning she can't just breathe in space or underwater.

- Aeronautical Zephyr: She can lift objects into the air or cause them to fly if they are incapable, like a human.

- Whirlwind Blast: She can blast an opponent with a strong wind, which will throw them back from her by a few feet, allowing her to create enough distance to not have to fight close quarters unless she has to.

Personality:
Due to her fall from grace with her fellow angels, Teshiko usually feels great shame being around those who know of her past, growing quiet and hiding herself in the background. Among those who know little of her history though, she is kind and helpful, hoping to see others reach their full potential and wanting to make sure they never fall to their desires as she had. She may not be the most powerful, but she has experience and that is something she wishes to pass onto the new recruits that have been reincarnated over recent years.

It should also be noted that, despite the betrayal of Kiyoshi, she still looks back fondly on their time together and hopes that they might meet again someday under better terms.

History:
Teshiko was one of the original angels that were born before The Great War, having even fought side-by-side with Michael and Gabriel. She did not have nearly as high a rank as the two of them did, a total of eight white-feathered wings had adorned her back in those days, but she had been a highly-valued soldier during the fighting.

Over the next several centuries, she would perform her duty as a guardian angel, protecting the humans assigned to her from the possible dangers of both their world and that of the supernatural. Until one day, she met someone that would change her world. Kiyoshi Kurosawa was one of the previously mentioned humans that the angel was assigned to keep safe, but she ended up growing attached to the boy.

Eventually, she could no longer keep her desires in check and revealed herself to him as well as her feelings. This was looked down upon by the other angels, but she had not broken any rules set by the divine order so no action was yet taken. That would not last forever.

After being together for a couple years, Teshiko and Kiyoshi would finally break one of the rules set by angels, one that the angel refuses to ever admit other than to those she trusts. With this act of heresy, she was turned into a Fallen Angel. Still, she had her Kiyoshi so the now impure woman was fine with this outcome.

Fast forward another year, and Teshiko would finally discover the consequences of her actions as Kiyoshi's mortal life was cut short by a fatal crash. If that was not bad enough though, she would discover that he had been in contact with a peerage of demons as they turned him into a reincarnated devil. Now that the man she once loved was a part of a rival faction intent on hunting her down, she returned to the angels she was once excommunicated from and begged forgiveness. Mercy was granted to her and she was allowed to rejoin the side of the holy, though her feelings for her ex do not seem to have at all diminished even after everything he'd done.
