Current The dot over a lowercase i and j has a name! It's called a tittle, which is a noun meaning "a tiny amount or part of something". Like the dot over an i or a j.

Bio

I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO and 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books for over 48 years. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge on the subject to include personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.

I have been writing for pleasure for at least 34+ years, but only got into forum-based Role Playing about fourteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. If someone wants assistance in designing an army, navy, or air force, please send me a PM. I will help. Please specify what level (echelon) or depth you would like me to go. When I say echelon, I mean Army, Corps, Division, Brigade/Regiment, Battalion/Squadron, Company/Troop/Battery, Platoon, and Squad/Section.

When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons (Edition 1 & 2). Later editions came out after I quit that game. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts. I love doing this form of role play, especially since I have a solid foundation on the past.

There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.

I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.

Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport three years ago. :(]

In July, I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government.

Send me a PM for a Role Play.

@Sola Your avatar and signature appear very feminine. The name Sola with an -a ending makes me think feminine as well. I would assume you are feminine regardless of how you type or what you write.

I have decidedly chosen masculine name and avatar to insure there is no such confusion about my gender. Besides, I'm old...and a veteran.
@Xandrya Love the Emelia Clark et. Daenerys Targaryen avatar.

My avatar is Jason Momoa as Conan.
Yea, I don't watch Pokemon either.
My 13-year old daughter loves Steven Universe.
I do not have a passport, never have had one. I am an American citizen yet I have traveled to Canada, Ireland, France, Germany, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia and Hungary. Oh yea, during most of those visits, except the ones to France, Croatia and Hungary, I was carrying a firearm.
Jimmy found it difficult to sleep in his new accommodations. He drifted in and out throughout the night and woke around 0430, unable to return to sleep. He decided it was a good time to get in a workout. Having noted there were no facilities presently as a gym or dojo here at the Defiance Project facility, so he planned to jump to his home in the Guangzhou Province near Hong Kong.

As soon as he arrived in the Yuangang residential district of Guangzhou he noted it was only 19.30 local time. He picked up his phone and dialed a friend named Li Shum who helped him as a sparring partner from time to time. Li arrived quickly and the two began a workout lasting about 90 minutes. They warmed up with some pad work and other exercises intended to strengthen core muscles.

After twenty minutes of warm up, they sparred for thirty minutes and then Jimmy began practicing techniques he designed integrating both martial arts skills with his jumping ability. Li Shum never knew where Jimmy was going to show up on the dojo mat and prepared himself for attacks from varied angles. It was tough on Li Shum and great training for Jimmy Wu.

After their training session, he showered and gathered up his black Shinobi Shōzoku, which would become his “costume” for the Defiance Project. He also gathered a Katana, his nunchakus and a half a dozen throwing stars. The last item he picked up was a binder filled with photographs of places he intended to travel to or places he has traveled to. He could jump to a place in a photograph as well as those places he has already traveled to without a photograph.

Later that morning, Jimmy found himself in the briefing room with Director King and the other talented individuals of his new team. This time he was dressed in the Shinobi Shōzoku with the hood hanging off the back of his head. He listened to Director King’s presentation.

"Accompanying you on this mission will be one of our more experienced agents, Codename: Railgun. I have instructed her to keep back mentor you, but she will step in if she is needed. Do we have any questions?"

“Mr King, What is this Carl unit you speak of?” was the first question or input Jimmy had. Jimmy accepted the mobile device and turned it on to see its interface. It had several prompts for him to set the device up to his own specifications. ‘I’ll have to make time to set this up later,’ Jimmy thought to himself. ‘Ah! So Velma is connected to the British government! Interesting.’ At least this is how it appears to Jimmy Wu.

"Mr Wu, I understand that you can teleport your team to Manchester. You will all be transported to Birmingham by road. It should take a few hours maximum. I won't bore you with the exact route."

“Yes, Mr. King. I could open a portal and move the team to Manchester right now. There are several spots in the city we could land including Manchester Airport, Old Trafford, Albert Square and Piccadilly Gardens. On the other hand, I could open a portal right to this building in the image here in Birmingham, if that would be simpler. I can jump anywhere if I have been there or can see it with line of sight. I can also jump to any location in the world if I have a photograph displaying the location we are traveling to. Would you happen to have a photo of a location a bit further from this building? Or would you mind if we jumped right into this parking lot on the right?”

The first question Jimmy has is, what is a CARL unit? I believe you are referring to the micro SD, but wasn't sure because I personally have never heard of this. I don't recall you writing the definition of this term anywhere in the OOC. maybe it is in the OP and I will post this reply and then find it?

EDIT: No. It is not a previously defined term. It is just that the way it written it appeared that Director King assumed everyone knew what a C.A.R.L. Unit was.
@The Harbinger of Ferocity I have to disagree with you here. I love puzzles and riddles. I see them as something that NEED to be resolved. It is almost OCD for me to solve something. I MUST solve it, regardless of how difficult or simple it may appear. But I have always quested after knowledge; I am a sponge of new information, ideas and concepts. My thirst can never be quenched. The same drive propels me into solving puzzles and riddles. It almost a compulsion. I do have enough discipline to divorce myself when necessary.
