Esther was relieved when the angry sergeant finally relented and left the scene, though not without huffing angrily at the sergeant's rude comment towards her and the Aquarian guard. "How rude! The only one that would deflower me is my husband, and I am sure I would not want you to be watching us when we do the deed!" However, once the words left her mouth, she realized what she just said and turned crimson immediately. Now she felt like she wanted to just sink down to the floor out of embarrassment.

When the Aquarian girl introduced herself, she snapped out of it and introduced herself back with her trademarked cheerful smile. "I'm Esther von Degraff. Nice to meet you, Viola!" She gave her hand to her. "That sergeant sure was rude, wasn't he? I sure am glad that none of my squadmates are as rude as him! Really, talking like that to a girl... Have he no manners at all?"

Esther stirred in her sleep as the sounds of the argument entered her ears. She was always weak to yelling. It made her feel nervous and guilty, even though she wasn't the one being scolded. It perhaps came instinctively from her harsh grandfather who often yelled at her for many things he perceived as her faults.

"U-uuhh, what's with all the noise?" she said as she sat up, rubbing her eyes groggily. She then climbed off her bed and wore her shoes before walking towards the source of the noise, still wearing her nightgown. Normally, she wouldn't do such a thing, as her nightgown was really not designed for public appearance. It was made with a soft, semi-transparent silk that gave a hint of her pink bra and panties. However, she was too sleepy to think clearly.

When she arrived, she saw a young girl arguing with a man quite bigger than her size. She saw no fear on the girl's face, which impressed her. She herself would have been intimidated with how much bigger the man was. Not to mention all the yelling the man was doing.

Thankfully, she then saw Natus interrupting the two. It seemed she didn't need to interrupt herself. And so she watched from the sidelines with a nervous expression. She just hoped it wouldn't devolve into something ugly, as both Finis and the man were grabbing their respective weapons.

Suwako watched as her targets managed to escape both her and Alicia's arrows. Tch, clever. Looks like I have to step up my game a little.

However, before she could continue her attacks, she saw a thin beam of psychic energy coming after her. Knowing that psychic energy usually cannot be blocked, she instead dodged away, by jumping down from where she was and creating another tree stump to stand onto. Of course, she could always call upon her familiar and transform it to its giant eagle mode for better mobility, but she figured she still wanted to conserve her strength as she gauged her opponents' skills and abilities.

How about this then? Can you dodge all of them, I wonder?

She focused her mind and gathered her magic energy. And then, she unleashed it to where Umeko was, creating dozens of wooden tendrils jutting out from the ground surrounding the girl. Indeed, it was a similar attack that she just had used against the enraged magical-turned-monster girl. With her having her full concentration from a distance, she could manipulate her vines freely without any danger to herself. And when one of them landed, she could use it to pin where her enemy was and finish her off with her arrow. It was truly quite the deadly combination.

"Cos-play?" Clara reiterated, tilting her head. Another word she didn't know the meaning of. With his comment about her living in a cave her whole life, she began to think that there was a possibility that she now was not standing on her old world. But it still could be that those things called "computer" and "cosplay" were something that was only popular on the Far East.

And then he proceeded to explain that they wore Western clothes here. But apparently, only something called "goth loli" wore what she was wearing, and how the folks at the countryside might look at her funny for it. Once again, she had no idea what this "goth loli" thing was. "I do not know what this goth loli is, but I do know that my outfit is pretty common back home in England. For girls my age, at the very least," she explained.

"Ah, so they're the local military," she replied once she heard his explanation about the JSDF. "I understood perfectly then why we should not fly in broad daylight. Back at my home, the local military there was not equipped in handling the surge of magical people ever since the Comet passed, to the point that the government banned all display of magic in public and told that all magicians currently residing in England must register to them. Mind you, this was after a whole company of them was slaughtered by a disgruntled factory hand who had destroyed the factory she was working in, killing all its workers currently on-site in the process. It took The Crimson Mage herself to take her down."

Suddenly, Clara's expression turned downcast all of a sudden. She remembered how her last meeting went with said Crimson Mage, or Mary, as she was given her name by her parents. Mary was the daughter of a Count with a position in the House of Lords, and she, like her father, wished what's best for England. Thus, she couldn't agree with her plan to cut off Earth from the magic dimension. She wished to employ the knowledge the elves had for the good of England. In the end, they had one last battle to decide who shall triumph. And after a long and hard-fought battle, Clara won in the end. Mary survived but Clara felt bad for what would become of her when the connection between the two dimensions was severed. She would lose her magic, and she would return to being a normal noble girl. And she very well knew Mary hated that. They had been good friends after all.

"Very well. I suppose you ride this thing like a horse?" she asked as she took Minato's hand, settling herself on the back seat of the motorcycle. She then hugged Minato firmly with her hands as she had never rode a horse before, and she knew just how bumpy they could be.

Umm, who's the one that attacks Umeko's assailants from a distance again?

"No ideas! Just action!"

"W-what? B-but you said--"

Before she could finish her sentence, Kanako was already dragged along by Jideh, a reverse of their original position. Jideh used his power to grow vines that he soon used to climb at the wall, dragging Kanako along with him. Kanako could only lift herself awkwardly with her free hand and her legs as Jideh was still grabbing her wrist as he climbed.

When they finally reached the top, Jideh said that it was now her turn, as he rested from the heavy work he just did.

"R-right," Kanako replied, turning her attention back to the spider. She wasn't sure if her wind would have any effect on the spider, but she had to try regardless.

"Haaaaa!"

She gathered all the energy she could muster. Wind began to form around her, creating a miniature tornado that blew everything around her. Her hair began to fly wildly, and the branches of the trees around her shook and trembled. Unfortunately, this also meant the flutter of her skirt also, exposing her panties to Jideh who was sitting behind her. She didn't notice however. She was too busy concentrating against the mortal threat in front of her.

"Take this!"

With one movement of her arms, she sent all the wind she had gathered and sent it all towards the spider. She didn't hold back at all with this attack. She doubted her wind could lift and throw the spider, and she hadn't mastered her power to the point that she could create sharp blades of wind. She just hoped that it would do something. At the very least, she hoped it would buy time for them to escape.
