Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

Clara Sol

Clara had hoped she would be able to eat something before they departed. Alas, it was not destined to be so, as due to some coincidental circumstances, there weren't any open restaurants or food stalls in the city. Thus, Clara departed feeling quite hungry, her stomach growling occasionally in protest.

Behind the carriage, Pam, the green bison-like creature was carrying her alchemy equipment and supplies. The beast might not be the quickest beast of burden, but it made it up easily with endurance, as it didn't complain even when it carried a heavy burden like that. And it was still able to keep up with the speed of the carriage.

"W-watch out!" Clara shouted when the carriage suddenly went off the road, slamming it between two trees, thanks to Noelle sleeping on the reins. Thankfully, the accident didn't result in any major damage. The medicines were still intact, though the carriage's front end was quite dented and the wheels on the front were damaged. Clara could fix them with alchemy but it would take quite a while. And they didn't have the time for that, not when they had to deliver these medicines as fast as possible.

After that incident, Lumi became the one to hold the reins instead. She hoped she wouldn't fall asleep as well. Come to think of it, she should be able to fix up some wake-up medicine for Noelle to prevent her from falling asleep. But once again, they had to stop for that so Noelle stayed in her dreams on the back of the carriage besides Clara, covered in blankets.

And then, the fog appeared.

The fog was clearly unnatural. There was no reason there would be a fog here since there weren't any lakes or rivers around. Hmm, an item to dispel fog. Well, you could make a fan to blow it away but that would be out of her league seeing how it would be similar to creating an item that could produce a small whirlwind. Her master could do it easily but she couldn't do it yet.

"Alright lassies... and Grisia too, listen up!" Granoda suddenly called. The girl had decided to take over leadership from Noelle, who were still sleeping. Take a defensive formation. Clara did as she told. She readied her bombs. Any movement and she would throw them at the invading presence.

A whistle's sound could be heard. Clara couldn't pinpoint the location from where it came from. Diana then spoke up, saying the fog was created by magic. Well, that just gave her the more reason to be cautious. They were definitely being attacked.

Pam began making her panicked groans, signalling that she too felt danger all around them. Any ordinary horse would've probably bolted but Pam's bond with Clara was strong. And she was no ordinary beast of burden herself as she was technically a monster. She could handle a couple of wolves by herself, using her strong horns.

And then, she heard it. There was something out there, getting closer and closer to their location.

Clara held a firm grip of one of her bombs in her right hand. Hopefully, she could gain a preemptive attack on whatever that was.

My response would be late unfortunately since I've been really busy lately.

I don't mind.
Selena

At first, Selena was overjoyed that her attack landed.

But then, right away, she realized that it did practically nothing to the demoness.

She couldn't do anything when Senna grabbed her on her waist. She was no frontline fighter and she also had a lower level than her. Selena let out a pained "Gah!" when Senna punched her in the stomach. She screamed once again when Senna threw her down to the ground.

Selena could feel her consciousness fading. She couldn't even muster the strength to lift her face from the ground. She could only hear Senna continuing her mad boasting. Only when she heard the scream of the boy when Yasha's bullet hit him she raised her face. Her look was one of pure anger. Anger at the demoness.

Her hand and arm shook as she tried to reach for her knife, who had fallen just a little away from her. She crawled slowly towards it. But she was too late as soon after, Senna stabbed the boy with his own sword, absorbing his blood to heal herself.

Selena snapped. She no longer thought about anything else other than to put this demoness down.

She leaped towards her knife, turned 180 degrees and leaped at Senna with her knife aiming at her. Her eyes were blank. Her entire body was enveloped with calm anger. The moment her knife landed once more on Senna's skin, she activated her ultimate curse skill. The Touch of Black Plague. Now, Senna would be assaulted with all sorts of status effects and debuffs imaginable. She would feel sick and nauseous, her head dizzy and her sight foggy.

She would've continued her assault if not for her sensing Yasha's incoming attack. She smiled when she knew that Yasha wasn't holding back any longer either. So, she quickly ran away from the demoness, wanting to get out of the collateral range of her spell as far as possible.

Once again, Kanako did as Catherine instructed. She began by taking longer breaths than usual. This was easy enough for her as she had quite a decent lung capacity. But when she tried the shorter ones, after a while, she felt it was beginning to take its toll on her stamina. It was as if she was not getting enough air inside her lungs.

"Haaa...haaa...haa...haa..." Kanako panted as she returned to her normal breathing pattern. "T-that was... quite tiring..."

Hmm, I dunno.
Clara Sol

Clara had expected some kind of response from Noelle. But instead, she just stood there, not even bothering to look at her.

Clara soon realized she was asleep.

Clara let out a small, awkward laugh. That took her by surprise for sure. She didn't expect such a high-ranked adventurer to just suddenly fall asleep while standing like that. And when she panicked when she was woken up by Grisia, that was another blow to her usual image of a calm and collected adventurer.

"Hello again, Miss Noelle," she reintroduced herself, bowing slightly once again. "I'm Clara Sol, an alchemist. And I will be joining you in your mission,"

Their talk was rudely interrupted by Wren's cramps. It might be rude but Clara couldn't help but giggle at the display. She really found it quite funny.

"Oh, I suppose I should introduce myself to the others," she said to Noelle as she returned her sight to her. She then turned around to face the rest of the group, who had been standing in front of Maya also. "Hello, everyone!" she said cheerfully, slightly bowing once more. "I'm Clara Sol, an alchemist! If you're taking the medicine escort quest, then you'll be partnered with me!" she said, just in case her voice reached someone else who didn't belong to their group. "If you need any medicine, then I'll be happy to provide! Oh, and I also should introduce Pam, my bison! But she's at my house right now, unfortunately..."

When Clara finished her introduction, she awkwardly stood there, blushing a little, waiting for their reaction. She was never good at stuff like these.
Illia Anastasia

As Illia stood inside her barrier, weathering the attacks the robots were firing at her, she heard the shouting of Evfimilia, saying that the robots would get stronger if their brethrens were taken on.

Great, as if they weren't troublesome enough already. She supposed the most efficient way would be to defeat them all at the same time, but that plan flew out of the window when Rafael defeated one of them. He did have the idea of ripping off their limbs first however, which Steve immediately did with his wind powers. However, the robot decided to commit suicide afterwards, rendering the whole thing moot.

Clever automatons, they are...

Illia then was rescued by the arrival of Aleksander, who burned the robots firing at her. At first, she thought his fire wouldn't be hot enough, but apparently, that wasn't the case as the robots decided to retreat. But before they could, something suddenly hit them so hard that they were torn in half by the impact. Illia looked to where the attack came from and saw Mila holding some sort of weapon in her hand. She must have been the one to do that, she thought.

That attack... I don't think I could stop it with my barrier... that weapon was dangerous indeed...

Soon after however, Mila was attacked by another robot who suddenly appeared before her, knocking her down to the ground. Illia could tell that it had gained considerable boost in power and speed. She looked at the weapon Mila was holding, now free on the ground as well. She had to use that.

Quickly, she used her power to snatch the weapon away from the robot. The gun now floated in front of her. She aimed it at where the robot was. However, she couldn't pull the trigger. Forcing it seemed like a bad idea as it might break the weapon. She wondered if it needed to recover from the previous attack, seeing the red light on the tip of its barrel.

For now, she would keep it safe with her, inside her barrier.

Suwako Makiyoshi

When Suwako arrived at the train station, she had expected something far more horrible causing chaos than merely a bunch of unicorns. She felt kind of bad that she had to exterminate them.

Just a little though.

She drew her bow and began firing her arrows towards them. She made sure to keep them on their spot by binding their legs with her vines as well.

She wasn't the only one here though as she noticed another magical girl fighting them. A pirate magical girl to be exact, judging by her outfit. And she was a ranged type too, as she fired off cannonballs towards the unicorns. Unlike herself who maintaned altitude using her usual makeshift tree stump, she instead used her water magic, bouncing up and down with its force. There was also another one with her who seemed to be her partner.

Suddenly, however, the stump she stood on shook terribly, before actually snapping at the base, making the whole thing fall to the ground. It actually caught Suwako off guard, making her fall as well. However, she quickly reacted, first by summoning her loyal familiar Agape, turning him into his giant eagle form. She landed safely above him. And before the tree she once stood before could hit the ground, she commanded it to wither into dust, so that the buildings below wouldn't be harmed.

"Are you alright, Lady Suwako?" Agape asked her.

"I'm fine. Just a little surprised, that's all," Suwako replied. "I didn't expect the unicorns to actually destroy my tree. It seems they have both strength and brain inside that horse body of theirs."

Suwako then stood up above Agape. She preferred the staticness of her trees instead of moving around like this with the wind blowing heavily into her body. She had to root her feet into Agape so that she wouldn't fall off. Thankfully, the owl/giant eagle didn't mind that plants were growing on his skin.

Well, now with Agape, there was no way the unicorns would be able to reach her. And so she resumed her killing of the unicorns, raining down her arrows towards them. Usually, two or three would be enough to kill one. There were quite a lot of them however, so it would take some time.

Of course, as she did, she didn't forget about the other magical girl and her partner. They were on her side fighting off the unicorns for now but who knew which faction they were affiliated with.

In fact, she should just ask them now right away.

"Agape, chase after that other magical girl," she told her familiar. She would approach them with a neutral stance, with her bow withdrawn so that they wouldn't think she was attacking them.

Selena

Selena could only watch in horror as Senna continued her rampage. She couldn't really interfere directly as she wasn't the direct fighter type. Back in the game, she rarely ever participated in PvP, and when she did, she mostly did it with players weaker than her. The effectiveness of her curse also relied on the difference between her level and the target's level after all. And without her curses being effective against her opponents, she couldn't really fight them head on.

But then, as she followed Senna from the distance, she found a sight that brought horror to her heart.

The kid... the kid from before was now standing in front of Senna, sword drawn. Selena didn't know where he got that sword but that didn't matter now.

Why, why didn't you run away, you idiot!

Thankfully, Selena didn't end him right away. Instead, she decided to have a little fun with him first, buying Selena time.

"Take a look, Yasha, Selena! Instead of hiding behind your stupid gimmicks get out here and fight already!"

The demonees now outright taunted her and Yasha, knowing that they had to come out to save the kid from her.

And then, she kicked the kid, sending him sprawling to the ground. It was nowhere her full power obviously since the kid was still alive after that, standing up and drawing his sword once more towards Senna.

...Selena couldn't take this anymore. She had to act, knowing full well that it would make her vulnerable.

And so Selena cast a curse that dimmed all the senses towards Senna. And the moment it connected, she ran and leaped right towards her, her dagger drawn. She intended to stab her right on the back of her neck full force. She couldn't give any lenience towards the demoness anymore.
