If there wasn't, that'd be like a chameleon that could only turn a kind of ruddy brown instead of some vibrant orange. If I, purely for the sake of argument, accepted that her hypothesis was correct, then it would be important for others of the ahoge nation to be able to determine the intensity of the feeling as well as the feeling itself. That was simply part of communication, and was vital to anyone trying to engage in it.
