I could be "that asshole" and point out the glaring inaccuracies about the series and how the Gunblade isn't even that absurdly big but instead I'm gonna have a sensible laugh at R=U getting called out because that shit was stupid.

RIGHT?! God, I remember arguing way too much with people who insisted that was canon. IIRC even the Ultimania was like "no lol".

Speaking of Final Fantasy, I'm going to admit that XV aside from being a massive disappointment at launch is also seriously overrated. Loved the characters, loved the idea of it, but terrible execution in my opinion. I've heard DLC has fixed a lot of things that I had a grip with, but I just can't forgive it at this time.

Underrated I'll uh...I think any of the other ones I can think of have already been said. Maybe Star Ocean: Til the End of Time? Or does the ending not make it count? Feel like the Star Ocean series in general never really got the love it should've gotten, at least with the earlier titles.
Just as the pair were about to head out of the room, a young man came crashing through the ceiling. Elsa's quick thinking had saved him from the fall, though Cielle briefly wondered who in their right mind would come crashing in instead of just coming through the door. He seemed to recognize them, making the girl extremely wary and the queen very nervous. An ally of the Darkness? The young girl was on high alert, though his words didn't assuage her concerns at all. A nearby scream caught her attention, and rather than wait, Cielle pushed the nearby doors open, revealing a balcony. As she ran to the banister, she could see two people just outside. Cielle narrowed her eyes at the rather large Heartless, though she took a few steps back.

"Anna!" Elsa gasped, turning on her heel and running down the stairs.

Just as Cielle moved to follow, the all-too familiar feeling of being watched hit the back of her head. As she looked around, however, she couldn't spot anyone. She knew it was dangerous to ignore, but right now she needed to prioritize the princess' safety. Shaking the feeling off, she didn't bother waiting for the young man's response as Cielle took off after Elsa. Just as they reached the doors, more Heartless spawned in front of them, halting their progress.

Elsa hesitated for a moment, though seemed resolved as she formed a wall, literally shoving the Heartless aside as she ran through the door. Cielle skidded to a halt, keyblade aloft as she dashed towards the trapped enemies. Once she made quick work of them, she followed Elsa's trail, the queen anxious to see Anna. Sure enough, there she was, and Cielle had to admit she wasn't surprised at all to see Kai as well.

"Anna!" Elsa called again.

"Elsa!" Anna gasped as the Abdominal Snowman took notice of the two new arrivals. "Look out!"

Cielle ran forward, swinging her keyblade and parrying the Heartless' attempt to swing at the queen. Rather than cower, however, it served only to anger the blonde, and several ice spikes erupted. It was a rather frightening display of power, reminding Cielle of the spikes she had seen in Arendelle, but there was no time to ponder as the many Heartless scattered. Of course. "Thunder!" She called, striking a few stragglers that had come their way, and for the ones that had survived, she struck them down.

"You shouldn't be here!" Elsa called out to Anna.

"And you think you should?!" Her sister couldn't help but point out. "It's clearly not safe here!"

"Which is exactly why you need to go back!" Elsa was interrupted as the Abdominal Snowman let out a roar, shaking the very mountain they were on. As Elsa let out another attack, Cielle was nearly knocked off her feet, stumbling backwards slightly. As she accidentally bumped into the queen, the girl gasped as she felt ice form around her shoulder, the queen's eyes widening from shock. Wait, so this was why the queen insisted on isolating herself--she couldn't fully control her power!

"Not without you!" Anna's voice snapped both blondes out of their thoughts.

Boy, Anna was stubborn, that much Cielle had to give her credit for. Still, Cielle had no time to interrupt the sisterly quarrel, doing her best to take care of the minions despite her frozen left shoulder. Their numbers meant little, but they were still a nuisance that needed to be handled before they could properly take care of the big one. Elsa's magic was a boon, further cementing Cielle's belief that it was a gift, though her inexperience was clear. As Cielle came to a halt, she noticed the Snowman turn its attention to Elsa, who had her attention elsewhere. "Look out!" She called.

Elsa narrowly dodged the Snowman's swing, though Cielle herself had severely misjudged it. She managed to raise her keyblade to block the attack, but the brunt of the hit sent her flying backwards. The feeling of soaring through the air was terrifying, moreso when gravity would yank her back. As she hit the ground, she rolled off the ledge of the cliff, saved only by her stabbing her weapon into the snow. She dangled from her keyblade, one arm firm on its grip as she made the mistake of looking down. Wow that was a long way down, why the heck did she look?! Attempting to pull herself up, she winced as her left arm refused to give her any leeway, Elsa's ice going strong.

Alexander nearly jumped in place at the new arrival, saved only by the weight of his armor. As his eyes examined the young lady, he couldn't help but quirk an eyebrow, slightly confused. A maid? Here? The blonde tried to remain neutral, though a thought occurred to him. Marigold had given him a slight debrief before the meeting, stating that he was to be accompanied by three others in this covert mission. Or at least, that was what he had assumed; the princess had a tendency to say a lot of things he didn't understand. She talked a lot, and fast, and--well, it didn't matter, the point of it was that those three others were supposed to be people that were experienced. Warriors. The pink haired girl was probably a mage of some sort, this one girl was...a maid. Maybe she had other combat skills he wasn't aware of?

Shuffling over to Marigold, he cleared his throat as he decided to address her in a quiet voice, "Highness..." Before he could continue, Marigold nodded, confirming his thoughts. Hm, he was prepared for the frontline, but he supposed he had hoped to have more support. Well, not that kind of support, more...power?

Marigold nudged him, shooting him a glare. "Thank for for coming, Miss Primrose, Miss Pyrebrooke," She composed herself rather quickly, her eyes briefly flickering to the sky. "I assume Lady Clemens is on her way, but time's arrow marches forward, and it is no longer a luxury we can afford to waste."

Alexander straightened up as Marigold looked at him expectantly. "Today we gather on a mission of utmost importance: the rescue of Her Highness Princess Dahlia!" He was probably a little louder than he needed to be, but at the very least he was making sure he was heard. "Our sources tell us that the bandits plan to hold Her Highness hostage while negotiations are being made! We will break through their stronghold and retrieve her!"

"Minus the repetition, that's the general idea," Marigold commented somewhat dryly, though she nodded in agreement. "I want to keep this as quiet as possible--should my father learn of your mission, I fear it will only serve to worsen him. That being said, you will be rewarded handsomely on your return. Alexander here will be in charge--" Wait, she wanted him in charge?! She didn't say anything about that! Alexander's jaw dropped, and he let out a nervous laugh, interrupting the princess. After a slightly awkward pause, she ignored him and continued. "The Dylo Pass is rife with bandit activity, you'll find my sister there. I will leave you in his...capable hands."

The knight felt all eyes on him, a low chuckle trapped in his throat as he avoided eye contact at all costs. Okay, this was it, this was the real deal. So what if he just graduated? So what if his pressing anxiety was threatening to crush his windpipe? So what if his nerves were weighing down on him more than his armor was? Clearing his throat again, the knight nodded, throwing on an entirely unconvincing smile. "Ahaha...well, then, ladies, onwards!" He managed to scrounge up enough enthusiasm to raise his fist in the air.

Eyeing him warily, if Marigold had any doubts, she was doing a very good job at hiding it. Instead she would agree with Alexander, clasping her hands together. "May Harmonia watch over you," She offered, letting out a small sigh of worry.

Alexander opened his mouth to respond, though he recalled what the princess said about time. Instead of responding, the young man turned on his heel and began to march. And march. And march. And march...
From what I have read, this is the ratio atm, though if I have misread please feel free to correct me.

Man, maybe I should've used a Kaibutsu character too.

It was coincidence/lack of foresight tbh
That too-familiar burning sensation returned with a vengeance, her body trying and failing to respond. Emiri's mind was completely blank, the pain robbing her of any sort of thought. She could see Shion above her, saying something, but her voice sounded so far away. She should have reacted faster, but the shock of Rio's sword piercing through the barrier had paralyzed her. And now she paid the price, lying on the ground, bleeding profusely, and likely to die. Her instinct told her to remove the sword, but she couldn't so much as lift her arms. She couldn't move, she couldn't think, she couldn't breathe.

You've always watched his back, and at one point, he doesn't need you anymore. You realize that you can't really catch up to him, can you?

Rio's voice rang in her head as clear as day, piercing through the pain. Why? Why was she thinking about that now? Because Jaakuna was fighting Rio on even ground and she got taken out with one attack? It sucked, yes, but the situation was out of her hands. He was chosen. Literally. And she was...

It's not his fault, you know this. But deep down, deep, deep down, you harbor a feeling of resentment.

That's not true. She could never bring herself to hate Jaakuna. He didn't ask for this. He didn't ask for any of this, and she of all people knew that feeling all too well. There was just no way she could harbor any ill will towards him. It didn't make sense. She couldn't possibly be so hypocritical...

If only you had more power...what you have now should have been the pinnacle, but it isn't enough, is it?

The last question rung in her head multiple times, and it was as if time itself had slowed down. No, everything was still. But how? She hadn't stopped it, did she? For some reason, while everything was stopped, she had the energy to move. Gripping the sword, she slowly began to pull it out. The searing pain threatened to rob her of whatever energy she had, but she knew it was doing more harm staying in. As soon as she thought she was free, a hand took a hold of the hilt, pulling it out of her. No longer did she feel like her lungs were on fire, but the wound still throbbed fiercely. She could feel the puddle of blood beneath her, and she closed her eyes for a second, opening them to see a dark haired man standing above her.

"Keiran?" She asked, surprised. He knelt down, and as he got closer, she realized it was Rio.

His gentle expression was unsettling, almost loving as he touched her cheek, his hand tracing her jaw and lowering down her neck and onto her chest. Her hand stopped his, though he tenderly pried it off. "You don't want me to help?" He asked her curiously, his blue eyes staring down her violet ones.

What kind of half-assed joke was that? "You're the one that did this," She reminded him, wincing slightly as he lifted her up.

He didn't deny it, pressing his hand onto her chest. She let out a slight gasp as a stinging pain surged through her at his touch. His hand glowed somewhat ominously, and every instinct she had told her she needed to get away from him. She tried to stop him, though she winced as he lifted her closer to him, his face a little too close for comfort. He was examining her features, his gaze a mixture of curiosity and appreciation. "He chose well. Your beauty is truly unparalleled--that silk hides the steel of a warrior," He told her soothingly, his hand raising her chin up slightly. "It's hard to look away from those eyes of yours. That being said--"

"--stay with me!"

Huh?

Emiri blinked a few times, the scene around her completely changed. Rio was gone, the darkness she felt emanating from him having completely disappeared. Shion was above her, her hands hovering slightly as her white magicks made an attempt to heal her wound. Time marched forward once more, though she couldn't recall where Rio meant or the end of his sentence. The confusion settled as pain returned, and Emiri visibly winced once again. She could see Rio's sword slowly fading away, melting into the ground, and a burst of light let her know that Jaakuna and Rio were still fighting. Her mind couldn't piece together where Rio went or how time had resumed, and she temporarily resigned herself as she placed a hand on Shion's, signaling her to stop.

Without his sword impeding her, Emiri was able to reverse the damage rather easily. She let out a sigh of relief, taking a deep breath to steady herself. Sitting up slowly, she looked up in time for Jaakuna's flames to break through Rio's dome. The dark haired man looked rather amused, though as he stepped forward, he suddenly clutched his chest, staggering slightly. Emiri put her hand to her chest, looking towards the direction of the library.

"Tch, so the snake decides to show up..." Rio muttered, narrowing his eyes.

Grant managed to catch Nadeline, holding her steady as Levi did...what Levi does. He really hated her insistence on going out of her way to make him as uncomfortable as possible, but as her actions had saved Nadeline, he wasn't in a place to protest. Carefully settling the princess down, he watched her expression carefully. Her injury didn't look too bad, though he was pretty sure she was likely to be out of the rest of the fight. Despite having seen better days, she clutched her shoulder, a small burst of white magicks coming forth and healing her injury. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself, watching Nadeline look at him and Wesley.

"You're late," She murmured.

"Forgive us," Grant replied, though he looked up as Levi seemingly cleansed Ren. The poor girl fell onto the ground, unconscious, the darkness within evaporating into the air. How the hell was Levi able to do that? He eyed her, somewhat suspicious, though his eyes landed on the unconscious Savayna. "What happened here?"

"Oh, the usual...Jaakuna's recklessness causing a ruckus," She managed to smile as he helped her sit up, though she didn't seem to be able to stand. "Savayna was affected, but I did manage to cleanse her."
